L'amour de la Nuit

Tears flowed unbidden down her face as she flew blindly.

Nopony loves me. They hate my night.

Narrowly missing a birch tree she flew on,unaware of the strain of flying like this.

I will never have subjects like Celestia...

Her horn lit up in time to teleport away from a wall of stone.

All hail the Solar Empire...

As the ruler of the night shakily landed,she collapsed in a heap of wings and tears. After sobbing loudly for a few minutes,she pulled herself together enough to look at her surroundings. As if the place was toxic,Luna jumped up and ran away from the place as though it was Tartarus. There was no more energy in her to fly away. She was stranded at The castle of The Royal Pony Sisters.

"Why. Why does Celestia get all the glory. While she gets praise and prayers I get remembered for...for THIS!"

She gestured toward the castle as she continued her lament.

"The way that it is,nopony has ever made a mistake before. And now the cycle has been repeated. Noone loves the night..."

The trees gave cover to the crying princess and her sorrows.

"My princess! She has escaped again..."

Celestia frowned. "She snuck away under your detection. Did anyone follow her?"

Captian Black Star fluttered his bat wings nervously. "We sent out a patrol for her..."

"Well?"

"The patrol would not go farther into the Everfree Forest...Please have pity on my incompetentness....I have a wife and kids at home..."

Celestia murmured softly. "I know where she is at...." Then louder to Black Star. "You have been relieved of your duties. Go home and think of my mercy apon you."

".....Yes my queen...."

Black Star took off his amour and laid them at her hooves. The enchantments on his wings and eyes disipeared and he slowly walked out the door. Celestia put on her regalia and crushed the former captian's armor under her hooves.

"Oh Luna....."
