Story and Plot by me
Night Shade was now living with Fluttershy for a few months after the events of the dragon. His buddies Night Stalker and Camouflage live in secret around Ponyville being the secret police, as well as using reasonable force. Night Shade was napping inside Fluttershy's house, Angel had somewhat trusted him but not completely. Night Shade was woken up by Angel shaking his leg, the stallion look at him with a confused look. He violently raised his arms, thought Night Shade couldn't understand what he was try to say. Angle pointed outside the window finding Fluttershy and her friends galloping towards the house.
Fluttershy burst in first with a worried expression on her face. She faced to Night Shade and made an innocent look on her face trying to look innocent.
"Uh, Fluttershy what's wrong?"
"Oh um... Night Shade is it okay if I have a friend stay over for a few days?"
"Well yea. It's your house anyways. Who is this friend of yours?"
"Well you see, Princess Celestia told me I needed to, um...reform her friend."
"Reform? So he is like evil?"
"Sorta. You can come in now."
Suddenly a bright flashed appeared before Night Shade, standing before Night Shade was a tall mutated figure, he had body parts from many different animals. Night Shade popped out his hidden blade and was about to strike him but was stopped by Twilight Sparkle's magic.
"Night Shade don't!!!" exclaimed Twilight Sparkle
"BUT THATS-"
"Discord, at your service." he interrupted stating his name
"I know you don't trust Discord, but you have to believe us, Princess Celestia believes that Fluttershy can reform Discord, I don't trust him either but I do believe in the Princess." Twilight said as she let Night Shade go.
"Yes Night Shade, ooooo what a dark name you have there." Discord snapped his fingers summoning a dark blue cape matching his coat. "Here you are have this cape." Discord levitated the cape towards Night Shade putting it own for him.
Night Shade politely took off the cape in disgust. "Sorry I don't use capes."
"Suit yourself." Discord said as she snapped his fingers with a glass of chocolate milk, he drank the glass and not the milk. Night Shade really wanted to stab Discord, he heard of him as an element of disharmony and chaos, he had no choice but to try and not kill him.
"Are you sure about this Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight
"If Celestia think's i can do it, then I'll do it, plus I have Night Shade to help me out."
WHAT!? Night Shade thought, he has to help her with HIM!?!? Night Shade drooped his head down, he was going to pop out his hidden blade to warn Discord, but his hoof was empty. Night Shade looked at Discord who had his blade around his lion paw.
"My my my what a weapon you have here Nighty. Never seen these in thousands of years, your from Neighon right?" Night Shade growled at Discord, nopony touches his stuff, well except for Fluttershy, but nopony else. "Now now, lets not get feisty, here." Discord snapped his fingers giving him his weapon back. "Now Fluttershy how are you going to reform me, I'm CHAOS after all."
Night Shade turned to Fluttershy with a disgust look on his face. "Fluttershy I'm going to meditate."
"Ok...have fun meditating." Night Shade waved his goodbye as Discord snapped himself a sign saying Tah Tah.
Night Shade walked away from Fluttershy's house, he walked along a dirt road to the end to find himself to his old burnt house. He smiled at his old house and turned to his old sakura tree. It had grown to full size thanks to Applejack's Granny Smith and her ways of helping tree's grow. The tree was as big as Twilight's tree, it's leaves were pink indicating spring, and provided as much shade as a umbrella times one hundred. Night Shade trotted under the pink leaves for shade and towards a small red rug. Thanks to Lyra's lessons Night Shade sat with both his hind legs criss-cross applesauce style, or so he had heard from Lyra, to help in his meditation. He lifted both his hooves in midair opposite from each other and closed his eyes. He thought happy thoughts as if they were real inside his mind.
Nearby a mischievous Discord sneaked up to him with an evil grin on his face. Night Shade couldn't hear or feel anything that Discord was doing, he was in his own world of peace. Discord snapped his fingers and disappeared, he reappeared inside Night Shade's world, it was all peaceful. He maniacally rubbed his hands together and transformed himself into a certain yellow pegasus and flew towards Night Shade who was sitting on a nearby hill. Discord flew up to a few feet away from Night Shade, transformed one of his hoofs into a hand and snapped his fingers creating discorded versions of the elements of harmony.
Night Shade ear's perked up as he heard Fluttershy laughing, he opened his eyes and trotted towards Fluttershy's voice. On his way he found Fluttershy and her friends, though he was confused, this was his own happy place, nopony could get inside his mind. Discord found Night Shade and was about to make his move as Fluttershy.
"Oh hello my killer coltfriend, I was telling my my friends why I hate you."
"What?" Night Shade started to sweat bullets, was this real?
"Oh don't tell me you thought I really loved you. I hated you, your a monster, animal, devil, your worse than Nightmare Moon. Right Girls!?"
All of the mare laughed and pointed at Night Shade.
"No...I..bu...you...lied...you never...loved...me..." Night Shade was heart broken, as well as his meditation as he woke up. Discord snickered as he snapped his fingers disappearing. Night Shade couldn't trust anypony anymore, his coat and mane now had a darker grayish color to it. He trotted over and reached for the sword in the ground, where he first layed.
"I will make them pay, I can't trust anyone anymore." He said has he wrapped his hooves around the sword and picked up and swung it around for practice. He approached his destroyed house and scavenged through the rubbish, he found a scabbard that fits his sword like a glove. He attached the strap around his waist and headed towards Ponyville, he put on his hood and mask to hide his identity, he had become the Silent Shadow once again. Night Shade was traveling around Ponyville by rooftops, nopony saw him, except Discord who watched while sitting on a couch and eating popcorn. Night Shade heard a scream from a mare who pointed at a thief who was running away with the mare's purse. Night Shade jumped to hit the ground and chased after the thief, he cornered the thief in an alleyway, the thief gave Night Shade back the purse to return to the mare, but Night Shade was not interested, he threw the purse away and pulled out his sword.
"Time to answer to the sword." Night Shade then raised the sword to his throat, the thief had begged for mercy and shed tears, but Night Shade didn't care, he jabbed the sword through his throat killing the thief. Night Shade maniacally laughed to himself and disappeared to the rooftops. Nearby local shadows saw the whole thing, they had to tell the others what they just witnessed, they prayed to Faust that they can now survive now that Night Shade would want blood lust.
Meanwhile with Discord, he teleported inside of Fluttershy's house, Angel gave him a death like stare, Discord scoffed at him and flicked him away sending him to the front door. Fluttershy quickly opened the door with groceries in her hooves.
"Hello Discord, is everything okay?"
"Why yes and thank you Fluttershy." He said as he snapped his fingers summoning ice cream to eat. "And anyways I'm always fine since I can literally do whatever I want."
Fluttershy looked around her house, Night Shade was nowhere to be found. "Um Discord, have you seen Night Shade? He should have been back by now from his meditation by now."
"Sorry Fluttershy I haven't seen him all day." he lied
"Ohh I hope he's alright."
A knocking came from the door, Fluttershy opened the door and found that Night Stalker was standing outside sweating like a storm cloud.
"Night Stalker?" Fluttershy recognized the dragon. "What are you doing here?"
"It's about Night Shade, he's not himself, he's gone on a rampage, tonight I want you and your friends at Twilight's Library, me and Camouflage will explain everything." Night Stalker looked at Discord and gave him the eye of blades, and pointed at him. "And bring that THING with you." He said as he opened his wings and flew of into the direction of Ponyville.
That night all of the elements of harmony along with Discord arrived at Twilight's library, the elements were as concerned as Fluttershy. Night Stalker and Camouflage arrived shortly have they did, Camouflage reached in his saddle bags and pulled out a small red crystal with a sphere smooth side. Night Stalker was the first to talk.
"Alright girls, and thing-" Discord gave him a sour look. "we got a problem, it's about Night Shade. He's not himself, he caused another death."
"Well was it a good reason?" Theorized Twilight
"No. He killed a thief, he had no weapon, and done no harm, Night Shade also had his sword with him, the one for his future grave, he killed the thief, he begged for mercy. He never does that, it's as if he had a sudden change of heart."
"We have full proof evidence." Camouflage placed the crystal on the floor. "This is a projection crystal, it projects what it has seen on it's lens." Camouflage then stepped on the crystal shattering it into a million pieces, it's dust then created a large screen, it projected the recent murder that Night Shade had caused. All of the ponies except Discord were horrified, Fluttershy then burst into tears, he had murdered an innocent pony.
Night Shade was in Ponyville, he had small devils in his eyes and teeth grinding like a sharpening stone wheel. He spotted Twilight's library and looked through the window, he found her marefriends, the liar, and her friends. He burst through the door sword around hoof, all of his friends except Discord who had a smile on his face looked at him with horror. Fluttershy ran to Night Shade with tears in her eyes and wrapped her hooves around Night Shade hugging him. Night Shade snarled and pushed Fluttershy into a pile of books, she looked at him with betrayal and sadness.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT, YOU LIED TO ME! YOU NEVER LOVED ME!" Night Shade barked as he was hurting Fluttershy more and more with words. Rainbow Dash defended Fluttershy as she flew towards Night Shade about to kick him but Night Shade quickly dodged and wrapped his hooves and her legs and slammed her against the floor. Ouch. Night Stalker and Camouflage both charged at him but Night Shade threw darts at both creatures, making them fall to the ground sleeping. Applejack threw a rope around Night Shade wrapping him around like a tied calf, but Night Shade popped out his blade and sliced the rope releasing him. Twilight Sparkle had just enough time to charge up a spell and cast a tranquilizer spell on Night Shade making him fall to the floor.

Night Shade awoke strapped to the floor and was stripped of his weapons, he was wrapped in several chains made from an ore called stahliruim, a rare and magical ore that can restrain magic and flight powers. Night Shade barked and violently struggled to break free from his prison. He was surrounded by his ex-friends and a Discord that was tied in the same situation as he was, tied like an animal. Twilight Sparkle was the first to approach him.
"Night Shade, why did you do it?"
"I WAS MEDITATING AND IN MY MIND I WAS TOLD THAT YOU GUYS HATED AND LIED ME ALL ALONG!!!"
"Night Shade that's not true, we are your friends, you know that we would never lie to you."
"MY WORLD NEVER LIES TO ME!!!" He screamed as he struggled more to break his prison.
Twilight Sparkle lit up her horn and touched the forehead of Night Shade, after a few seconds an explosion of magic appeared from Twilight's horn causing her to crash into a bookcase. She panted heavily and groaned in pain, Night Shade was still discorded and violent. Her magic was not strong enough to out best Night Shade's mind. Discord maniacally laughed. "Mua ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I believe I chose the best pony for the job, nopony can simply clear his mind, I made sure of that." Applejack came over and slapped Discord in the face hard leaving a hoof print on his face. "Why don't you think that's a little violent my dear Applejack?" Applejack raised a hoof about to smack Discord but was stopped by a magical barrier trapping her hoof stopping her.
"No Applejack, we'll deal with him later." Twilight released her barrier and Applejack put down her hoof and walked towards Fluttershy to comfort her.
Twilight approached Night Shade horn lit up, she touched his forehead concentrating harder, for a split second she could have swore that he saw Fluttershy inside his mind but she wasn't sure. Twilight's horn again erupted and crashed into the same bookcase. She got up and walked over to Fluttershy, she had only one theory.
"Fluttershy, do you know how to meditate? Has Night Shade taught you any lessons?"
Fluttershy was weak, she was barely able to talk, she gathered as much strength as she had and got up to her hooves. *sniff* "Yes... he taught me a few lessons, but the thing is, he taught me so much meditation that he trusted me with illegal meditation. Twilight if you want me to *sniff* help him, you need to perform an illegal spell on me." Twilight looked unease, illegal spells was not something she would risk. "Please *sniff* Twilight, it's the only way I can talk to him from his heart and soul." Fluttershy begged, Twilight opened her mouth but she had nothing to say or object. She was right, she needed to risk using illegal magic in order to save more innocent pony's lives.
"Okay Fluttershy." Twilight glanced at everyone. "NOPONY TELLS ANYONE ABOUT THIS OKAY?"
They all nodded. Fluttershy told Twilight what do to, she then sat next to Night Shade. She sat down, closed her eyes and relaxed her body. Twilight quickly used a great amount of magic and zapped Fluttershy who was still meditating. She and Night Shade both fell to the floor unconscious, she was now on her own.

Fluttershy opened her eyes, he found herself on top of a hill, she looked around the environment, it was dead, there was dead trees, animals, and ponies everywhere. She was horrified, she felt as if her nightmare was real. She found Night Shade standing on two of his legs with his hidden blade out and a sword in his other hoof. Fluttershy flew towards Night Shade, she stopped and gave a long horrified stare at Night Shade's condition. He was covered in slashes, blood, and was in terrible pain.
"Night Shade?"
Night Shade turned his head and popped out his hidden blade. "WHAT THE BUCK DO YOU WANT!?"
"Night Shade, it's me, your marefriend, Fluttershy."
"HA! You aren't my marefriend, you lied to me, my mind never lies to me."
"No it was Discord, he went and corrupted your mind with lies."
"PROVE IT! How can he do this?"
"He can almost literally do whatever he wants. Please give me a chance to prove that I am not lying to you."
"How?"
Fluttershy walked towards the stallion in blood, she placed a hoof on his cheek. Night Shade was confused but was interrupted as his lips were pressed against the mare's. She wrapped her hooves around him and brought him closer for a much more passionate kiss. Night Shade's gray shade now became blackish blue, his mane and returned to normal color. Memories began to spin inside Night Shade's mind, the first time they met, when he said her, when he burned his house, when they first kissed, and now begins a new memory.
They both broke their kiss and gasped for air, the kissed seemed to have lasted for hours or days. They both had reached reality, Night Shade was...calm, he believed in her friends, they would never ever betray him. Fluttershy looked at Twilight and nodded towards who, who nodded back and illuminated her horn. She blasted the stahlirium restraints releasing Night Shade from his prison. He got up to his hoofs, he opened his eyes and found all of his friends hugging him, especially Fluttershy who was sobbing on his chest.
"Thank you girls." Night Shade broke the massive hug. " Now, I need to talk to Discord."
Everypony let go of Night Shade with shocked faces. "Night Shade, are you sure? What are you going to do? Discord is a big meanie, do you like chaos?" asked a concerned Pinkie Pie
"No no, I'm going to talk to him on the inside."
"What do you mean?" asked Twilight Sparkle.
"I'm going to use an ancient Neighsian technique, I am going to go directly inside Discord's mind, I will collapse so somepony's gotta catch me." Night Shade walked over to the restrained Discord, he sat down with a grin on his face. "So Discord was it? I am very pissed." He said trying to hide his anger. "But I think you should be punished, and see what I have seen in the past."
Night Shade sat down in his meditation position, he had his hoofs in the air. He concentrated so hard that books started levitating without magic, Night Shade opened his eyes, they were bright blue. He got up and walked towards Discord. "Watashitoisshoni kurushimu." He said as he placed a hoof on Discord's forehead. There was a bright blue flash, Night Shade collapsed to the floor, Fluttershy came to his aid but a barrier like glass was formed in between them and everypony else, there was nothing they could be but wait.
Discord and Night Shade both woke up in a white empty room. Night Shade got up and kicked Discord awake. "Ugh rude." Discord scolded. Discord look around with a distasteful look, it was empty, no grass, hills, ponies, or griffons to turn into chaos. "Sorry Shadey but I can't cause chaos so~" Discord snapped his fingers to escape, but nothing happened. "What the? I can't use my powers." Discord found a new figure standing in front of him, it was a young stallion with a psychopathic look on his face. "Hold on, who are you?"
"This is Swift Wing, my Chīsana kyōdai, I had to suffer murders with him, no you will suffer with me." Night Shade looked towards Swift Wing, he slowly nodded his head, Swift Wing slowly nodded back. He summoned millions of screens, showing all of Swift Wings murdered victims, he showed them all to Discord one by one, making him for terrified than being scared by Slendermane. After Swift Wing showed Discord all of his victims, Night Shade nodded towards him, Swift Wing disappeared.
"Arigato Chīsana kyōdai." Night Shade walked towards Discord. "So, if you think you can take over my mind, you have it wrong, I am strong in both body and mind. This is what I had to face with Discord. Now either you reform and apologize, or you end up like victim 663 + 3, and trust me, it disturbs me more than it disturbs you."
Discord gulped in fear and slowly nodded at Night Shade. The two both woke up in reality, Night Shade gasped for air, he hasn't done that before, and Discord was sweating milk. Night Shade arose from the floor, he walked up to Twilight and her friends. "Alright, let him go, he's learned his lesson, or now."
"Night Shade darling are you sure? What did you do to him?" asked Rarity
"Something I thought I would never use."
"What was it?" Twilight asked
"Torture." Night Shade said in a flat tone as he walked away.

The next day had passed, Fluttershy or in this case, Night Shade caused Discord to reform and become good, by force. Night Shade was outside meditating, being in his own world and no Discord. A nearby bush rustled having Night Shade's meditation break, he looked around but saw nothing. Night Shade picked up a rock, he waited for the rustling to come back. *Rustle* Night Shade reacted to the sound and threw a rock at the nearest bush.
"OW!" Screamed a familiar voice.
Night Shade recognized that voice, it was "Rainbow Dash?" Rainbow Dash flew up from the bushes, she had a small bruise on her forehead. "Rainbow, what are you doing here?"
Rainbow rubbed her hoof on her bruise to ease the pain. "Ugh, I was wondering why you meditate, what does it do anyways?"
"Well, meditation is a form of relaxation, focus, and a way to let out any anger and control the inner thought. Here let me show you." Night Shade led rainbow under his sakura tree. "Okay, first sit down in a comfortable position."
"Ugh fine." Rainbow groaned as she folded her wings, she sat in the same position as Night Shade.
"Alright, next let go of any muscle, movement, or thoughts in your body, just don't move and relax everything in your body." Rainbow Dash obeyed and breathed out a large amount of air. There was one problem. Night Shade led out a small sigh. "Rainbow, your wings shouldn't be folded, just let them loose." Rainbow grunted in annoyance, she unfolded her wings and let them fall to the ground.
"Alright, now, slowly breath in and out, and release any thoughts in your mind." Rainbow did as he taught, she slowly breathed and emptied he mind, she would lock away her troubles with Gilda, her dreams with the Wonderbolts, just an empty space. She slowly inhaled and exhaled, she felt s slight, emptiness inside her.
"Good, now the final step, picture a vivid image in your mind, but picture a place where you would feel calm, like on top of a mountain, in a forest, in a plain field of clouds, just picture anywhere you would want to be to rest in peace." Rainbow Dash was silent, there was a long silence throughout her meditation. After what seemed like seconds to Rainbow Dash, thirty minutes have passed, Night Shade raised his hoof straight in the air, he fired into the air causing Rainbow to shoot her eyes open. "Glad to see you were awake. So...how did it feel?"
"Wow."
"Huh?"
"No I mean wow, I feel, nothing, no anger, no sadness, just nothing, but it feels good."
"And that, is meditation, though the neighsians like me practice other types of meditation involving magic, where to enter one's mind, dream, or world of meditation. Shocking yes, but highly forbidden in Equestria." Rainbow's eyes shrunk, she was about to speak but was stopped by a hoof holding her lips shut. "Shhhh, tell anypony about that, and I will enter your dreams and haunt you forever." He let go of her lips, she slowly nodded.
"Um Night Shade?"
"Yes?"
"Did you use that trick on Discord?"
Night Shade gave a small chuckle, a sly grin came from his face. "Yep. except I had help from a friend."
A few weeks have passed, Discord has begun to reform faster and better. Night Shade just occupied him, he watched him in the shadows without being seen, seeing if he was trying anything chaotic. Fortunately no chaos, Discord was using his powers for good, like finding lost pets, fixing broken parts, or just magically summoning fun for little colts and fillies. Celestia had taken Discord to Canterlot, after a few weeks, ponies had heard from the press that Discord became a doctor and cured tons and tons of ponies, with a snap of his figures.
8 years have passed, Fluttershy and Night Shade were now a married couple with a filly named Cherry blossom, and a colt named Kami.
"DAD!" Night Shade woke up from the cry of his son. "DAD CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY TRAINING?"
Night Shade grunted and got up from his chair, he walked outside and saw Kami trying to climb up the house wall. Night Shade gave a small chuckle, he walked towards his son. "Kami, I cannot help you this time, you must train hard and well. Paths may only be opened by a key, you are the key to your path. Keep training but this is the last time I will help you." Night Shade pulled out a customized vambrace, Kami raised an eyebrow in confusion as Night Shade wrapped it around his right hoof. "This is what I used when I had trouble climbing, this is a hook blade. Concentrate your magic onto the device." Kami did as he instructed, a small stick with a hook on the end popped out of Kami's hoof, he gazed in amazement.
"WOW SO COOL! Will this help me climb?"
"Try to get a grip with it."
Kami ran toward's the house wall, he ran up the wall and popped out the hook blade, the hook stuck into the roof of the house, he was clung onto the roof. Fluttershy along with Cherry Blossom watched from a nearby window, Kami hung from a height. Fluttershy chuckled as Cherry Blossom gave a sour look on her face. The two walked outside for an announcement.
"Night Shade! Kami! Time for supper!" Fluttershy shouted catching both of the ponies' attention.
"Kami you dummy, that's dangerous you know that?" Cherry Blossom sassed as she nagged her brother about safety. Kami stuck his tongue at her and ran inside the house, Cherry chased after him with a devilish look on her eyes. Uh Oh.
Night Shade walked over to Fluttershy with a sly grin on his face. "Kami is climbing, like father like son." He said to Fluttershy.
"That's not the best part, Cherry Blossom is caring for some of my animals, like mother like daughter I suppose." Fluttershy said as she giggled and led Night Shade inside, oh how beautiful they were, their legacy shall never end.
