A Well Deserved Break - The Really Steamy Part
You and Twilight finally return to your resort room, the purple mare leading the way. You had tried your best, but you spent most of the trip back staring at Twilight’s flanks like “that” kind of coltfriend. You couldn’t help yourself; the way her backside wiggled and tail swayed as she walked was almost hypnotic, so much so that you nearly bumped into it when she stopped at the door to your room. Luckily for you, she didn’t turn around to catch you looking, instead levitating her keys into the lock and opening the door. Judging from the sly grin on her face, you had a gut feeling she knew you were staring, almost as if she had wanted you to.
You both step inside your room, Twilight shutting the door and putting all the locks in place with her magic. With the last lock engaged, Twilight lets the magic fade from her horn and turns back to you. The moonlight coming through the open window is more than enough for you to clearly make out everything in the room.
The moment is too perfect; you can’t resist taking the initiative. Letting your eyes close, you guide your head to Twilight’s, hoping to become lost in another deep kiss.
To your surprise, however, your head keeps going, never coming into contact with anything. You open your eyes to find that Twilight had taken a step away from you, denying you access to her pillow-soft lips.
“Er, one second,” she begins her explanation with a slightly embarrassed smile. “I just wanted to say something before we get started on anything.”
“You do?” You ask, your mind already trying to think of the potentially heart-crushing things she could say to you.
“Well, that’s just what I said,” she sharply replies before returning to her normal well-intentioned speaking tone. “Look, I know some ponies have this thing about not letting their partners down, but I just want to say that we don’t have to do anything that you’re not ready to do. I’ll be happy no matter what we end up doing.”
“Uh...you will?” Is all you can reply. Is she really giving you this talk? Aren’t you supposed to be the one to be telling her this?
“Well, of course,” she states almost matter-of-factly. “I still have plenty of fun just curling up next to you. You don’t have to worry about disappointing me or anything like that.”
“Um...if you say so,” You nervously respond. You feel that Twilight has things backwards; you’re not primarily worried about doing something you’re not ready for, but doing something she’s not ready for. You want to tell her this, but you can’t seem to find the words for it.
“In fact,” she starts up again, her eyes lowering again in a sultry expression this time, “I’ll let you make the first move.”
“R-really?” You ask out of disbelief. Your eyes open wide and the blush that was starting to fade is once again in full bloom.
“As long as it’s within reason. So what do you have in mind?”
“Okay, um, let’s see....” Your head and eyes drift upward as you try to think of something you’d like to do. Something that preferably won’t end with Twilight leaving a nasty hoof-mark on the side of your face and kicking you out of the room.
It doesn’t take long for an idea you can’t resist to pop into your head.
“Actually, Twilight...” you begin as your focus drifts back towards her, “There is something I’d like to do, but we need to be on the bed for it.”
“Really?” Twilight smirks at your eagerness, “And I thought you were nervous about going so far.”
“It’s not like that,” you explain, feeling a bit embarrassed at your plan. “It’s... well, you’ll just have to see.”
“Okay then. Lead the way, Romeo.”
You walk over to your bed for the weekend, large enough to fit both of Equestria’s princesses if needed. You turn around to see Twilight already joining you on your side, that ever-present curiosity in her becoming more visible at the second. You motion for her to climb onto the bed and she obliges, moving onto the center of the mattress and curling her limbs underneath her. You quickly follow her onto the bed, noting how incredibly soft the blankets and mattress feel on your hooves. You curl up and lie down alongside Twilight, pausing only for a moment to gaze at her lovely purple eyes.
“Alright, here goes,” is all you can say before you begin your plan.
You gently nudge Twilight’s neck with your head, your way of telling her to roll over. She gets the message and complies, shifting onto her side, and then onto her back. She curls up all four of her legs and turns her head towards you, lowering her eyelids and giving you a welcoming stare that you could never turn down.
You slowly lean towards her head and move to make another kiss. Unlike last time, this one successfully connects, your lips meeting hers as the two of you engage in another exploratory study session, as Twilight would put it. As always, her lips are a joy to behold, warming up your own pair and even containing that slight hint of her special elderberry taste.
You break away from the kiss before too long. As enjoyable as it was, you had a plan to carry out. You move your head back towards Twilight, but your destination is slightly lower than before. You gingerly lean just below her head and slowly begin nuzzling her neck with your head. Her neck needed special care, for it had the job of holding up the head you found so beautiful, the head that was filled with a near-infinite reserve of knowledge. The individual hairs that make up her coat pleasantly tickle the side of your face as you gently rub against the firm neck. Despite being in water not too long ago, you can still catch occasional hints of the shampoo she uses on her coat: a lovely lather of lavender to keep her looking and smelling so divine. You hear Twilight let out a pleased sigh at your rubbing and feel her neck stretch out, her silent way of asking for more.
You oblige her request for a little while longer, but soon break away so you can continue on with your plan. You push your snout between Twilight’s forelegs to coax her into moving them apart. She does, laying them down on her sides and granting you access to her underside. You move in and start planting soft kisses on her chest as she takes in a slow, relaxed breath.
Her chest suddenly contracts as she giggles slightly. “Hey, that tickles a little,” she calls out “...but keep going. It feels pretty nice.” You do as she says, keeping up your barrage of sweet kisses and making sure that every part of her upper chest is covered with kiss marks.
You slowly make a trail of kisses down her chest, finally reaching the spot you’ve been wanting to reach for so long now: her belly. The belly you have sworn as your duty as a chef to never let go hungry again as long as you live. The belly she somehow keeps in perfect shape through all of her adventures. The belly that is deserving of only the finest foods and the most tender care.
You deliberately slow down your kissing spree at first; taking your time in enjoying all the little details this mare has to offer. Little things like how it slowly rises and falls as she breathes in and out; how much softer her belly is compared to the rest of her body; and how you can feel the slightest vibrations whenever she coos or moans in happiness.
Soon enough, however, your restraint gives out as you start to crave more and more of this delightful body. Your kisses become faster and sloppier, and you start to introduce your tongue into the mix. Before long, you go from kissing her coat to tasting it with your tongue alone. You can tell Twilight is starting to lose herself as well, as her breathing becomes more rapid and her moaning grows louder. You let your eyes close as you trail your tongue everywhere, first high, then low, then higher, then lower, then higher still, then-
“Ah!”
Too low.
You immediately stop licking and retract your head when you feel your tongue graze something rough and pointed. Your eyes open of their own accord, giving you an eyeful of what you just licked. Poking out of the sea of purple is a pink nub, its texture much firmer than the surrounding coat and its twin still hiding underneath her immaculate coat, you assume.
“T-Twilight, I...” You frantically try to apologize, shifting your eyes everywhere but her face and her lower portion.... You had never gone this far with her before; she must surely think you’re some kind of depraved leech at this point. “I, uh, it was an accident, I, I g-got carried away and, uh, I didn’t mean to-”
Twilight cuts you off by sharply addressing your name. You shut your eyes and turn away from her, opening one up slightly to glance at her fierce glare....wait. She’s not glaring at you. She has a sheepish smile, and the two pink spots that make up her blush have somehow formed a bridge across her face. She doesn’t look so much angry as she does...embarrassed?
“Um...do you think you could...do that again?”
You can’t do anything but blink at her request at first. She doesn’t think you’re a creep? She actually wants you to keep going? This must be a dream, most likely a dream that you will wake up from and find one of your hooves feverishly rubbing a certain portion of your body.
Whether it’s real or not, you decide to go through with Twilight’s request. You give her a couple quick nods and then bend your head back down to her haunches. You tentatively push your tongue back out and drag it over her nipple, a bit slower and more nervously than last time. You feel Twilight’s body shiver at your lick, and a moan comes only a second later. You take this as a sign to keep going, and give the firm nub another lick.
The lick turns into two licks, then three licks, and before you know it, you’re flicking your tongue at it with a regular rhythm, feeling the nipple grow pointier with each successive lick. You also feel Twilight’s entire body convulsing underneath you at each taste, her legs almost kicking you a couple times and her moaning growing ever louder and frantic.
You decide to take things up a notch. Completely closing the distance between you and the mammary, you wrap your lips around the base and lightly bite down on the tip. This elicits yet another surprised gasp from the unicorn, followed quickly by a frantic “Oh gosh!” You playfully tug on the nipple, flicking the tip with your tongue as you alternate the pressure of your bite, not unlike a foal being nursed by its mother. You can tell Twilight is on the verge of going crazy; she thrashes about like she really needs to use the little filly’s room and makes every noise possible, from gasping and inhaling sharply to passionately shouting your name and just about every word that her brain can process. You feel like you could keep this up forever-
“Stop!”
...but her voice makes you come to a complete and sudden halt.
You slowly back off from her lower body and apprehensively turn your head up. Once more to your surprise, she’s not glaring; she couldn’t if she wanted to. She pants heavily, her face contorted as if she doesn’t quite know what to think or feel.
“Are you okay?” You nervously ask, assuming the worst.
Twilight seems to stare into space for a few moments before she realizes you are there.
“Yeah,” she replies, her lips curling upwards as she finally catches her breath. “That was just...amazing. I never knew I was so sensitive there. It was almost too good, actually.”
“Too good?” you ask. Is that even possible?
“Yeah. I, uh, was pretty close to... you know,” she explains. “You were doing great, it’s just... I didn’t want the fun to end so quickly, that’s all.”
“I understand,” you respond, giving her a smile. Her explanation has not only quelled your fears, but it has also given you a bit of an ego-boost. You are quite confident that no one else in Equestria has made Twilight Sparkle feel good by doing what you just did.
“Perhaps we should move on to something else?” You suggest.
“Okay...but what do we do now?”
“Hmm...” you pause to ponder. It’s not too long before another idea pops into your head. “Well, since you let me make the first move, you can decide what we should do next.”
“Um...are you sure about that?” She asks before her voice suddenly takes a turn for the shy. “I, uh, have never done anything like this before.”
“Neither have I,” You truthfully respond.
“Really?” She asks, genuinely surprised at your confession. “I guess that means we’re both learning something new tonight, huh?”
“Yeah, looks like it.” you reply, “So what do you have in mind?”
“Well...I’d like to start with another kiss first.”
“Are you sure about that?” You inquire, “I mean, my mouth probably tastes like your... you know.”
“Okay, that’s a little gross, yeah, but if it’s meant for feeding foals, it can’t be that bad.”
“If you say so,” you respond with a smile.
You climb up from Twilight’s lower section and join her at the end of the bed, your body hovering off-center over hers. Like clockwork, the two of your heads move toward each other at the same time, joining together at the center for another deep kiss.
You’re a bit hesitant to go too far with this kiss considering the things that have been in your mouth for the last few minutes, but Twilight doesn’t seem to mind. If anything, she is even more excited than before. She easily becomes the aggressor in this session, her ever-present curiosity driving her to absorb every last new detail about your mouth.
Her passion extends far beyond the kiss as well. With your mind fully focused on your lips and hers, you are genuinely surprised when you feel a set of hooves wrap around your back. Before you can process this new feeling, the hooves suddenly push down on you, forcing you down onto the bed, your head and Twilight’s still joined together at an angle. You then feel the hooves glide along your back, gently exploring all the parts of your body that she can reach. You even squirm a little when you feel her hind legs get in on the fun as both of them press into your flanks. You never considered yourself the ticklish type, but the way her rear hooves clumsily glide across your cutie mark make your entire lower body flex with a mind of its own.
Just as her personal exploration of you began, however, she cuts off the kiss and backs off from your head. “Wow...” she says pleasingly, her eyes in that half-lidded stare you can never resist. You give a smile back to her, happy that she’s able to have fun with you as well. You feel like you could melt away on top of her as she stares at your face, and then glances away to look at the rest of what your body had to offer.
“...Whoa.”
Her eyes suddenly open wide when they reach...something. You quietly hope that it’s not what you think it is, but her gaze makes you acknowledge how rigid you feel down there. You take a glance down to confirm your suspicions and spot what Twilight is looking at.
To say you were excited at the night’s turn of events would be an understatement.
You try to do something, but your brain can’t come up with any appropriate action to take in this awkward situation. All you manage to do is let out a couple nervous chuckles as Twilight eyes the pink flesh proudly protruding from you. You knew Twilight had seen this part of you before (an inevitability given that ponies normally go without clothes), but never in such an excited state.
“...and I thought it needed direct stimulation to do that,” remarks Twilight. For the umpteenth time tonight, your blush comes back in full force.
“Heh heh...er, yeah, sometimes it happens on its own when we don’t want it to,” you reply. Maybe Twilight hasn’t read up on this as much as you thought.
“Really? So is this one of those times?”
“Yeah...uh, I mean no! Um, wait, I, er-” you stammer incoherently, silently cursing this unfortunate situation. Truthfully, you know your erection is no coincidence, but you can’t think of an answer that wouldn’t land you in hot water, and not the kind you recently experienced at the spring, either.
“You look cute when you don’t know what to say,” Twilight giggles, breaking your feeble attempt at concentrating. You feel a reassuring hoof rest on your shoulder and turn back to face her. “Don’t worry,” she continues in a gentle tone, “I’m not grossed out or anything like that.”
“You’re not?” You inquire, daring to let your mind feel some relief.
“Not at all. I’m...kind of curious, actually,” she responds.
Your regular curious, or “that” kind of curious? You worryingly think to yourself, but you get your answer soon enough.
“...Is it okay if I...touch it?”
Your mind goes blank. You have no idea how to respond to her request. Heck, you aren’t even sure if you heard her correctly. Did Twilight Sparkle, the star pupil of the very princess herself, really want to touch you...there?
“I mean, you don’t have to if you don’t want,” you hear her continue, “but it kinda looks like you could use some relief down there.”
She was right. You can feel yourself growing stiffer at the second, so much so that it’s getting to be uncomfortable. As much as you don’t want to admit, Twilight’s offer is sounding very tempting.
“Okay,” you finally concede, “Go ahead. Just go easy on it when you start.” Once again, you can’t believe you’re the one saying this instead of her.
Only nodding in agreement, Twilight adjusts herself so that she is sitting up and beckons you to do the same with her forelegs. You slowly get up on your hooves, walk over to her, and sit back down, taking extra care not to bump your extra appendage. You glance at her and notice her cheeks are burning pink at this point and her violet eyes are staring directly at your lower body.
Slowly and without saying anything more, she lifts her forehoof into the air and guides it toward your phallus. You steel yourself for the inevitable, but it’s to no avail. You immediately feel a shiver move through your entire body and let out a slow gasp as her soft hoof comes into contact. If Twilight couldn’t think of any words to describe a kiss, you don’t stand a chance at codifying this sensation. All you know is the way the fur on her hoof tickles the length as she moves from tip to base is one of the best things you have ever felt.
As the waves of pleasure rocket through your entire body, you begin to feel less like a living pony and more like a large mass of putty in Twilight’s hooves. Not that you think this is a bad thing; at this rate, you would let Twilight do anything to you as long as it gave you this amazing sensation.
“Anything” is just what Twilight does. Her movements on your lower horn increase in speed and pressure, and your occasional gasping and shivering turns into full-on grunting and thrashing. Your mind fires with dozens of questions at once. How does she know exactly where and when to touch you? Is there magic involved or is this all natural? What does she think about this act?
Most importantly, did you just leak a little bit down there?
You glance down and, as you feared, find her head surprisingly close to your other head. Her hoof still paws at you absentmindedly while she scrutinizes the tip and the liquid that just oozed out. Even the warm air coming from her snout sends small tremors through you as she continues to analyze it, almost as if she was debating something in her head, before-
SWEET CELESTIA!
You wanted to shout this, but instead the only noise you make is a loud groan. Without warning, Twilight decided to see what you tasted like, gliding her tongue right over the tip and licking up the white liquid. You look down at her and see her face scrunched up, like she isn’t sure what to think. That moment quickly passes, and she indulges in another taste, this time starting the lick from much lower. You shiver in pure pleasure; whatever high you were feeling from the hoofjob is already long forgotten in favor of this.
Whatever high you feel from her tongue is also forgotten just as quickly. After just a few more experimental licks, you feel something hot and moist wrap around the head, something that makes your voice raise a few extra octaves. As if acting on their own, your hooves rest on top of Twilight’s head and glide through her mane while she bobs up and down. At this point, you have completely given up on coming up with new words to describe how good you feel. The way Twilight is moving her lips down and up your shaft for the next few minutes is enough to drive you mad with pleasure.
Unfortunately, it is also more than enough to send you over the edge real soon.
“T...Twi...” You force out between involuntary grunts while a certain pressure in your loins inches closer to critical mass. “I...I’m g-going t-to...” You can only hope she gets the message before...
Too late.
Your vision goes white, your entire body seizes almost violently, and you let loose a deep groan as the pressure that’s been building up inside you finally releases...among other things...right into Twilight’s mouth.
You cannot care or process anything else at the moment, however, because your brain is completely overloaded with sensations and feelings and...everything. You’re not even sure if you’re still in your own body or if any of this is a dream, or even if up is down anymore. All you can piece together is that you feel wonderful.
You’re not sure how much time passes before you can comprehend your surroundings again. When you come to, you find yourself lying on your back at the foot of the bed, your tongue resting at the side of your mouth and your entire lower body in a state of happy exhaustion. You lift your head and first spot your member limping on your belly. A little bit of your personal fluid still rests on the tip, but the pink flesh is slowly retreating back into its sheath, the aching stiffness long relieved.
“How was it?” You think you hear a voice ask you.
“Wha-huh?” You mumble as your command of the Equestrian language slowly comes back to you. You turn your head and acknowledge Twilight curled up on her legs, facing you with another embarrassed smile.
“Your little trip to the moon, I mean,” she explains “You were pretty spaced out for a couple minutes there.” She blushes a little. “I guess I really did a number on you.”
“Yeah...ah!” You respond just as the gravity of what you had done upon climax - and where - sinks in. “T-Twilight! I...I am so sorry...I...couldn’t stop myself. Everything just happened so fast...I really didn’t mean to-”
“Hey!” Twilight cuts you off, only losing her gentle demeanor and blush for an instant. “Er, you don’t have to apologize for that. I was the one who made you...lose control. I, uh, really should have paid more attention while I was...you know.”
“Besides,” she continues, “It did surprise me at first, but I...um... didn’t hate it.” Her voice almost diminishes to a whisper at that least part.
“You...really?” You reply in shock.
“Well, I’d like a little more warning next time, if that’s possible.”
“Heh heh...sorry. I couldn’t really get any words out.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she smiles. Suddenly, she gets quiet again, and her normally confident demeanor dissipates in a flash.
“So...would you...um, like to...touch me?”
You’ve lost count of how many times this mare has shocked you tonight, but you’re certain that this surprise trumps them all.
“You...You, wha?” You stutter in surprise and shyness.
“Um...you know...explore me a little,” she confirms her proposition. You could almost swear her face is naturally colored pink at this point. “I mean, it would only be fair.”
“Um, are you sure, Twilight? I won’t do it if you don’t want to.”
“No, it’s fine. I, um, know I’ll be okay if it’s you.”
“Okay, Twilight. If that’s what you want.”
“Alright. Just go easy at first, okay?”
“Of course, Twilight. As always.”
Gingerly and nervously, Twilight gets up on her hooves and moves towards you. Once she reaches you, she turns around and carefully climbs over you, her hypnotizing rump now in the center of your vision. She gives a little wiggle - you aren’t sure why - before settling down on top of you. You liken the feeling of her coat fully pressed onto yours to that of a blanket warm and fresh from the dryer, but you can’t ponder this feeling for long. You hear Twilight take a deep breath and assume that she closes her eyes before she overcomes her sense of modesty and moves her tail to the side.
And there it is: Twilight Sparkle’s most personal spot. You feel your heart rate nearly double as you take in the details of her marehood and the puckered circle just beneath her tail. Much like your own personal place, you had caught occasional glimpses of this portion of her unintentionally, but never up close like this. A part of you still believes that you shouldn’t be looking at her in this way, that you were still miles away from this part of the relationship. Despite your disbelief, you can’t pry your eyes away from what Twilight is presenting to you, a gift that she has not given to anyone else.
“W-whenever you’re ready,” you hear Twilight speak, her voice shaky from nervousness.
You lift up a forehoof and apprehensively stop just short of her nether-region. Mimicking Twilight not too long ago, you breathe in slowly...
...and finally gain the courage to move forward.

“Ah!”
“What’s wrong!?” He suddenly replies in a panicked tone.
“Pinkie Senses!” She shouts just before hopping off the bed and sitting on the floor.
Meanwhile, completely unknown to you and Twilight, the colt you had hired to wash the dishes is enjoying his evening with the bubbly pink mare who you know as Pinkie Pie. The two of them are in his flat, sitting on his bed and enjoying each other’s company while he plays some of those fancy video games on his magic box. At least, they were until Pinkie’s magical senses kicked in.
“Hoof shake!” She kicks her leg forward.
“Snout twitch!” She scrunches her face like she is about to sneeze.
Without warning, she eeks out a slight gasp. She then shuts her eyes, squeezes her hindlegs together, and lets out a slow “ooooooohhhhhh....”, as if a particularly annoying itch was being scratched.
“Um, I’m not going to say what that last one was,” she says to him, a discoloration breaking out on her normally pink face.
“So what does it mean?” He asks in a panicked tone, “What’s about to happen?” Where did I put my umbrella-hat!?
“Hmm, I don’t know,” she responds, putting her hoof to her chin and looking deep in thought. “I’ve never felt this particular sense before, but it feels like this...just happened now, not something that’s going to happen.”
“So do you have any idea what it could mean?”
“Um, let’s see...it felt kinda nice, so I’m going to say that it means somepony I know just had a super-duper fun time!”
“Okay, but who?” he asks. He’s pretty sure that neither Pinkie nor he was having more fun than they usually do on their gaming nights.
“No idea!” Pinkie says in a chipper tone, “But to be honest, I’m kinda jealous. They must’ve been doing something really crazy to have that much fun!”
“Yeah, I’ll bet,” he says, his brain trying to produce images of what could possibly be so fun to make Pinkie go crazy like that-

“Oh, dangit!” The colt shouts, turning back to the magic box at once. He was in the middle of a round of Gang Foaltress 2, magically playing against other ponies all around Equestria when Pinkie’s magic sense kicked in. In his absence, another player took advantage and killed his character, then proceeded to stand over the digital corpse and hit the taunt button, making his character swing his legs about and recite an annoyingly-catchy tune. “Ugh, I can’t stand that player,” he mutters to himself as he grabs his controller.
“I don’t think he has very many friends,” Pinkie chimes in.

“Twilight?”
“Huh?”
The lavender mare seems to be coming out of her catatonic state. She had been lying almost perfectly still for a few minutes, her only movement when she slumped over while you attempted to wriggle your way out from underneath her. Having been put into the same state yourself not too long ago, you were content to watch her and let her body rest while her mind was off in Celestia-knows-where.
“How are you feeling?” You softly ask her.
“Exhausted...” she replies, somehow finding the energy to smile, “but really good. I get why other ponies go crazy about sex now.”
“You’re telling me,” You say jokingly, “I almost thought you were going to wake up everyone in the resort.”
“I couldn’t help it! I mean, once I felt your tongue, I just...” She trails off, her face growing into an adorable sheepish blush. You understand her embarrassment; not only had she gotten loud, but she had also screamed some very unladylike things in the process.
“Don’t worry about it,” You reassure her, “You were having a lot of fun, after all.”
“Yeah, that’s true,” She smiles with a dreamy stare.
Chuckling a little to yourself, you move forward and lie down on the bed, turning over so you and Twilight are now eye to eye.
“Oh!” Her eyes widen in surprise. This is certainly not the reaction you expected.
“What’s wrong?” You cautiously ask.
“Er, nothing!” She replies with a sheepish grin, “Just hold still for a second.”
At that, you see Twilight’s horn glow and wonder what she’s up to. Without warning, you feel something warm and smooth rubbing your face. Twilight was using her magic to maneuver the bed sheets so she could wipe some personal fluids of hers off your face. The rubbing ends as quickly as it begins, and Twilight soon lifts the sheets off your face to get a good look at your ruffled coat.
“There, much better!” She says, satisfied with her work. "Sorry about that.”
There’s that cute embarrassed look again, you think to yourself before speaking up. “It’s okay. At least you only got it on the outside of me.” And there’s my embarrassed look again.
“Heh heh, I guess you’re right there.”
The conversation comes to a halt here. For the next few minutes, you do nothing but lie in bed with Twilight. You become aware of just how tired you are as well. The lower half of your body has already fallen into a tired slumber, its muscles being relaxed by the soft blankets and mattress. You sigh to yourself as you accept the fact that the fun has come to an end for tonight. There will be plenty more opportunities for that, you muse. We still have a whole weekend, after all.
“You know, I don’t think I ever thanked you.”
You come out of your thoughts at Twilight’s mumbling. “Thank me? For what?” you ask, completely oblivious to what she could be talking about.
“That day I showed up at the cafe starving.” she goes on to explain, “When that storm hit, and you ran out to grab my sandwich, I never properly said ‘thank you’. I just sort of yelled at you, and somehow ended up telling you how I really felt about you.”
“Don’t mention it,” You tell her, “I still think it’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever done. I had plenty of food I could’ve whipped up for you in the kitchen. It would’ve taken a while to cook, but at least I wouldn’t have had to risk getting struck by lightning.”
“Can’t argue with that,” Twilight remarks with a giggle in her throat. “Still...I can’t really think of anyone else who would brave a major storm just to save some food for me. Besides, if you hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have exploded at you and confessed my feelings...we may have never ended up a couple if you weren’t such a numbskull.” She playfully rubs your forehead with her hoof.
“Hey now!” You’re not sure whether to laugh along or feel a little hurt at her condescending line. Regardless, you decide that pushing the subject would not be a good idea. “You know, I think we would have eventually gotten together even if I hadn’t done that.”
“You really think so?”
“Of course. I can’t really explain it, but something just felt right when you kissed me. It was like...I don’t know, like it was completely natural, like we were always meant to be together.”
Twilight raises an eyebrow at you. “Have you been talking to my friend Rarity?”
“Was it really that cheesy?” You ask with a sheepish smile.
“A little bit,” she responds, her eyebrow fading and her soft smile coming back, “but it was really sweet.”
With this, Twilight wriggles up and drapes a hoof over your side. She tucks her head just below your neck and closes her eyes, feeling the lovely warmth coming off your coat and letting your feel hers in return.
“Thank you,” You think you hear her say.
“For being a numbskull?” You reply.
“And for being the most amazing coltfriend ever.”
“You’re welcome, and thank you for making me the luckiest colt in Equestria.” You drape a hoof over her side to show her your sincerity.
“No problem.”
Once again, the conversation stops, but the silence that follows is not one of awkwardness, but one of quiet happiness. You feel your eyelids growing heavier, and decide to let yourself fall asleep. As your mind approaches the land of sweet dreams, you manage to say and hear one last thing before you nod off:
“I love you, Twilight.”
“I love you, too.”
