The Rhyme of The Element of Magic

Book I Nightmare Moon

PART 0

Come one come all and hear a tale,

About the greatest bearer ever.

She has saved Equestria many a time

And yet our worship she does not endeavor.

If you’re one for comedy you are misplaced,

But while many a part of this epic are tragic.

I can promise a happy ending,

In the tale of the element of magic.

PART I

Now our hero was researching a particular threat.

One who would steal the day, what a crook!

However when she tried to explain to the princess she was told to

Stop reading that dusty old book.

Sent to Ponyville to oversee preparations, with her dragon Spike

For a celebration of the sun

The second she was finished she would research her foe.

When Nightmare Moon is on the loose there is no time for fun

The first was the food supplier.

Applejack was the mare,

With strong legs and a brown stetson hat.

Covering her golden hair.

She spoke in a southern drawl

And invited our hero to feast,

When Applebloom used her puppy eyes she couldn’t resist

And so she paid the price with a belly fit for a beast

The next was the weather,

And because she was not on the alert

She found Rainbow Dash,

When she tackled her to the dirt

The rainbow mane and cyan wings,

She was definitely the one

But there were still clouds in the sky,

And she was acting like she was already done.

“Excuse Me,” the hero said

”But you need to clean sky.”

The rainbow mare waved her off and said

“ I’ll do it latter right now I need my shut eye.”

At this the Mage huffed then thought of something sly.

The baby dragon didn’t like the look he saw no he didn’t like that

“ Come on spike she is embarrassed to fly” at this rainbow shot up

“Hey” she shouted. “I will clear this sky in 10 seconds flat.”

And twilight thought she won but she was not prepared.

For rainbow never backed down and using all her speed

She cleared the sky of all its clouds not a trace could be seen

“I am Rainbow Dash” she boasted “expectations I always exceed”

After that it was the décor she had to check on.

Which was handled by a mare named Rarity.

An alabaster coat with a blue mane

“Wow” twilights dragon said. “She is as pretty as can be.”

As she was trying on different ribbons our hero spoke

“How are the decorations coming this isn’t my domain.”

However the white mare just screamed.

“ WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR MANE? ”

And so she was given a makeover, and mentioned were she was from

She wished she hadn’t as Rarity talked about with no ends.

She felt she’d see a lot more of her after claiming they were,

The best of friends.

The final mare she found was a Pegasus

With a yellow coat and timid voice

She was teaching the birds to sing

And it was so beautiful that she wanted to rejoice.

“Hello there.” Twilight said

But the birds flew away saying bye

“Ooops sorry about that what’s your name.”

“Umm my name is Fluttershy.”

However she was so shy she couldn’t be heard

After asking some more she decided this was a quest to abandon

However when Fluttershy saw the assistant she ran through twilight.

“Oh my gosh a baby dragon.”

And so Fluttershy and the dragon as they went to the library

“Wow you have had an interesting life spike”

“Thanks “he said and stuck his chest out

“Well were at the library and this dragon needs his sleep, the little tyke.”

And now that her job had been done she was a giddy mare

For  she had a plan to devise

But when she walked into the library the lights turned on and a mare shouted.

“SURPRISE!”

This mare was pink all over, with a balloon cutie mark.

“Hi my name is Pinkie, I like the horn atop your head.”

And the mare talked on and on until twilight said.

“ Thanks for the party but I have to get bed.”

Knowing she was out of luck and nightmare moon would return

She sat upon her bed and groaned.

She left with her assistant to the ceremony

As it couldn’t be postponed

While at the town hall they introduced Celestia

But she was nowhere to be seen

And then Nightmare Moon came on the stage

As only Twilight had foreseen

“Doth any of you know my name.” Nightmare asked

And twilight responded without any fright.

“ You’re the Mare in the moon, or Nightmare Moon,

And you are trying to bring eternal night.”

Those who tried to stop her were foiled pretty quickly

And twilight grabbed spike and ran off like a hare

“Hey why is she leaving?” questioned Rainbow dash

Then applejack replied, “I don’t know sugar but I think I know where.”

As Twilight was researching in the library Rainbow went inside

“You’re no ordinary tourist.”

“Are you a spy?”

“ Calm down RD she a’int a spy, but she does know something of interest.”

“Alright we can beat Nightmare Moon  with the Elements of Harmony,

But they are located in the Everfree Forrest.”

PART II

As they walked into the forest

They came across the first test

A cliff that was about break

And the element of magic was stressed

As she dangled from the cliff she was grabbed by Applejack

“Alright sugar cube I just need ya to let go.”

‘What!” shouted twilight as applejack looked at her without a hint of lie in her eyes

“Just trust me bro.”

So she loosened her grip,

And said her last prayer.

But as she was falling rainbow dash caught her

She saved her midair

Next was a manticore that took out there best individual attacks,

Group attack they decided and where charging at the beast perfectly aligned

“Wait,” shouted the timid one as she walked up to the beast and pulled a thorn out from its paw

“How did you know that was the problem?” “Oh twilight sometimes you just have to be a little kind.”

Next was a sea serpent.

“excuse me” twilight said “but why are you making the lake splash ?”

“Oh can you not see.” The sea serpent replied

“I’ve lost my Mustache.”

“Don’t worry,” said Rarity

“For I will fix this.”

And she cut of her tale saying short was in season

And gave it to the monster so now nothing was amiss

Next were the trees making horror stories look silly.

But in Pinkie Pie fear didn’t foster

Seeing her friends she turned and said “Oh girls don’t you see,

And explained why in a huge musical number.

Next was a bridge and as rainbow flew to the other side three ponies stopped her

“ we are the shadowbolts join us , we like your boasting.”

“Alright sure just let me set this bridge up.”

“No!” interjected the leader, “us or them choose who you will be aiding.”

Thanks for the offer but I’m going to decline.” She set up the bridge and flew back to her friends.

“We were worried about you.” They cried,” Hey come on I’d never leave Ponyville hanging.”

As the walked into the castle there enemy appeared

She laughed” I have destroyed the elements and now the sun wont be free.”

Twilight just giggled, “you fool”

“We are the elements of harmony!”

As the six friends got ready and necklaces adorned on there necks

And Rainbow said with a cocky tone. ”Cha-cha”

The rainbow beam shot up and collided with the alicorn

It was like a rainbow super nova!

And the princess came in and spoke to our hero

“Thank you my student, for saving my sister Luna.”

Part III

And that concludes the tale,

But don’t think we are done.

For we have merely scratched the surface

After all this was just Book 1
