Hello Ponyville It was a lovely morning in Ponyville. Pegasi moved clouds around in preparation for a light sprinkle later in the day. The birds were chirping and all was calm. At the Golden Oaks library, Twilight Sparkle was enjoying preparing a simple lunch when her assistant Spike came rushing in, holding a freshly delivered letter in his claws. “Twilight! Twilight!” Spike called out, carrying the letter in his outstretched hands. “I got a letter from a Prince Silver Star. I don’t think we know him. Should I burn it?” he asked. “What, No!” Twilight screamed, shocked at the very idea of destroying the written word.  “Don’t you remember Silver? He is one of my best friends outside of the girls.” Spike put a claw under his chin. “Silver, Silver. Nope, I got nothing.” Twilight sighed. “You should remember his better as Axel. You know – pegasus, silver coat, tall with a black and purple mane.” “Oh yea, him,” Spike replied. “And what were you thinking, wanting to burn a letter from a prince,” Twilight said indignantly. “I’m a fire breathing dragon, I like to burn things. Also how did you know his full name, but not Cadance’s?” “I asked him when we were at the wedding. Now do you want some lunch or not. I’ll read over the letter while we eat, ok?” Twilight said, not convinced at Spikes justification at wanting to burn the letter. The pair headed into the kitchen. Normally Spike was the main chef, as his hands were better and handling pots and pans than Twilight’s magic was. Lately Twilight had been wanting to try and help a bit more. The foal services had been snooping around; something about possible breaches of child labour laws. Sitting down at the chair she picked up the letter and began to read it, oblivious to Spike stuffing his face next to her. Dear Twilight Sparkle I’m coming to Ponyville tomorrow on the 30th March to study up on the arts of love, friendship, oh and apparently to stay at least 100 miles away from liquor. Something about having to learn to act lice a real prince. My mother and Auntie Luna said you had some experience with these matters so they suggested that I learn from you. I’ll be staying with you Twilight, for as long as she wants me to. This is going to be great! Roomies with by BFF. Twilight put the letter down. “Oh buck!” she exclaimed, the blood draining away from her face. Her forgotten enchilada was dripping sauce onto Spike’s head, staining his pines a bright red. “He’s coming to Ponyville to… move in with us.” Her tone was filled with nervousness. Spike used his long prehensile tongue to lick off the sauce from his head. “Twi, calm down. It’s not like it’s Celestia, Luna or even Cadance coming. It’s your best friend,” he said trying to reassure his panicking friend. “You know he isn’t the fancy type; hell that’s why he is coming hear in the first place. “I’m not worried about that. What I’m worried about is how I’m going to fix his problems,” Twilight said, fear clearly showing on her face as she considered the task before her. “You mean like trying to get into bed with his own sister, at her own wedding, drunk to the point where he could barely stand. I see what you’re saying,” Spike said, laughing as he thought about the incident again. “Of all the royalty he has to be the least royal. I don’t know what you can do to fix that. Hell, I don’t even know why you’re friends with him. He is a slob and an idiot.” Twilight felt tears build up as she realised everything Spike was saying was true. She knew that Silver had some problems, but she hated it when everypony only focused on his flaws. Deep down there was a good stallion with a big and caring heart just like his mother, and Twilight loved him for it. It was a pity that that side of him only came out rarely. “I know you are looking for a stallion, but don’t choose him. Please Twilight; he’s no good for you,” Spike pleaded. Twilight had had enough. “No Spike. I’ve known him since we were foals and I love him. If you can’t respect that then I don’t want you around anymore. Go and stay with Celestia until you are ready to accept us.” Twilight burst into tears as she told Spike to go away. This day had been coming for some time now, Ever since Spike had begun to develop into his teenaged life stage he had been getting harder to live with. Twilight knew that this was likely the end of their time together. Celestia had told her that Spike would change, that he would become harder to live with and that he would rebel against her as his draconic heritage asserted itself. She just hadn’t wanted it to happen so soon. The difference in ageing meant that he would have to spend the vast majority of his life without her and she had wanted to hold onto the little baby dragon she had known, even when he had far outgrown that phase of his life. Twilight had always thought of Spike like a little brother to her, which made this parting so much harder. Flopping into her bed, she focused on the idea that Silver Star would be coming soon. That cheered her up slightly. Maybe she would be able to work up the courage to tell him about her feelings while he was here. Later that evening Twilight decided on inviting her friends over and letting them know about the situation. Naturally their reactions were highly varied. Applejack, being the most level headed of them focused on the core issues. “So Sugarcube, what ya’ll are sayin’ is that you have another friend you never told us about commin’ ta stay and you sent Spike away, likely for good without even a moment to say goodbye?” “Yeah, first your own brother, now this. You really need to stop with all the lies and surprises. They are starting to get uncool!’ Rainbow Dash complained, hovering in the air next to her excitable marefriend. Pinkie was far to excited about hearing that a new pony was coming to realise the more significant parts of Twilight’s news, thought’s of the welcome to Ponyville party clearly flashing through her brain. “I’m sorry girls, but I didn’t want you to think I was dropping royal names or showing off. And about Spike, I knew this was coming. Dash, Rarity; you both saw how those teenaged dragons acted during the migration and I don’t want him to become like them. Celestia can care for him until he matures past that stage of his life, but that won’t be for hundreds of years.” Rarity came over and gave Twilight a light hug. “It’s ok darling, we could never be jealous of you. Right girls?” The others replied with a unanimous ‘Yes’. “And as for Spiky,” Rarity continued. “He just needs some time to think. Dragons are normally solitary creatures. Maybe he was just feeling smothered by all the changes. I’m sure he will be ok.” Twilight returned the hug that Rarity had given her. “Thank you Rarity, I’m sure you are right. I’m still gonna miss him.” “We all are Twilight. But back to this Silver Star; you said he was a prince right?” “Yea, why?” Twilight said, puzzled as to where she could be going with this. “Just one question.” Twilight suddenly realised exactly where Rarity was going. “IS HE SINGLE!?” Rarity exclaimed, her eyes literally shining in the light. “Uh, yea. But…” “Well this has been grand girls, but I have to go and make a new dress for the occasion. His letter said he was coming on the 30th, so you must be in heat again.” “Nopie dopey, Dashie already helped me out there.” Dash puffed her chest out proudly. “Damn straight I did.” Fluttershy spoke up for the first time since she had arrived. “Uh Twilight? Today is the 30th.” Twilight’s eyes went to her calendar. As Fluttershy had said, it showed that it was indeed the 30th. Behind the group, the door slammed open, revealing a tall silver pegasus with a dark purple mane. Silver Star had arrived right on time. “Heya Twily,” he cried out when he found Twilight, rushing over to catch her in a tight hug. “Hey, what’s with all the mares? You about to have an orgy or something?” Fluttershy dropped behind the couch at the mention of sex, and Pinkie and Rainbow gave him a nasty glare. despite being a warm day, the room turned decidedly chilly in a moment. "Luna your cheap, you know that." The much younger royal said. "Silver, i'd shut your mouth your winning!" Luna said. Being the younger of the celestial sisters had given her a much more competitive side that silver shared, and admired. "Silver!" Celestia cried sternly and yet still calm from down a long ordinate hall, "Silver!" "What mom, I just beat aunt Luna in a game of haylo, do you know how hard that is; now I'm probably Gonna lose my mojo! " Silver wined annoyed. "How come there are five mares in your bed?" Ignoring her sons complaints. "Um...we were studying magic" Silver said scared of his mother's wrath. "Your a Pegasus, you cant study magic." "Can to!" The Pegasus wined "it's called Pegasus magic." He smiled, thinking he outsmarted his mother for once. "It's passive magic, you can't study passive magic; now go apologize to those mares." "Why do I need to apologize?" A white unicorn with a crazy blue mane said as she sent silver flying into the air making him hit his head on the ceiling causing him fall on top of her. "Shit Vinyl! You know how much I hate it when people sneak up on me!" Silver said as he got back up. "Hey man, i just stop by to say I'm having another party tonight not to be killed by a flying hockey jersey!" Vinyl asked rubbing her flank along his body "There will be a lot of mares, I know how much you love us." Vinyl said in sultry tone trying to convince her friend. One day while his mother was overseeing a peace negotiations between the Griffin Empire and Neighgeria, silver was scared this was the longest his been away from his mother. Cadance saw this and thought that if he had some friends he would be a lot calmer; so she set up a date so he could meet he two favorite foals to sit for, Twilight a very shy but intelligent foal and Vinyl Scratch a loud but creative filly.The three had trouble interacting at first mainly because Twilight and Silver wouldn't stop hiding from Vinyl, forcing Cadance to levitate her brother and the fillies in front of each other to interact, and when they did it was magic. The three were inseparable; Silver had then told his mom about them, Twilight's love for magic and Vinyls for music. Celestia then sent letters inviting them to the school for gifted unicorns, not knowing about how truly powerful skills were. "Hey silver, what you thinking about, you've been quite for awhile." "Huh, oh just thinking about how we met." "You mean coming up from behind you and sending you flying under the couch, and making Twilight cry." Vinyl said laughing "Not funny!" "Oh, but it's fun to scare you two." "It's fine when you do it to me, but not Twi!" He said with more emotion than he realized. "Hey why are you screaming at me. The mare said searching for her goggles in her saddlebag, while trying to stay out of site of the massive line that had formed outside her house. The house was vinyls personal night club filled with blue neon and with purple detail. Vinyl was perched high above the crowd on a balcony conected to her room. Silver made his way over to the bar, spotting a very attractive cream colored mare with a red mane and a rose cutie mark. "Hey, Black Spice." He said to a rum colored unicorn mare. "Ah that's Roseluck; she's from ponyville shes normally here with her friend carrot top but she doesn't appear to here tonight. From what I can tell their in a relationship." "She looks pretty sad, like she just lost something pretty important to her, I'm gonna go see if she's ok." "Silver, since when have cared about a pony's feelings?" "I don't know; sometimes its good to care about your subjects, even if they don't know who you are." Getting sad. most ponies didn't know who he was, he'd have to explain everpony that he was a prince show them he was a Prince because mostly because he was still only 24 and the blood relative closest to him a age was his sister and she was about 120 years older, but the other was  because of his mother his mother wouldnt let him do any thing, why he didn't know, he always taught it was because she hated him. "No, listen I'm  a prince, I just wanted to..."before he could finish the mare had anuff; kicking silver in the ribs breaking two of them, then proceded to break his right forehoof, the Rose then threw a large left hook, knocking Silver out. "That ones for you Carrot Top!" Vinyl manage to see the whole fight and her closest friend get KOed. Something she might have had fun with, but this time it was different she felt concerned, almost scared; not able to think Vinyl screamed "everypony out!" She ran down the her unconscious friend. "We got to get him to hospital. Black Spice  can you help me get him on my back, I need to save all my magic to teleport us there. "Cadance, can you get your brother for me; dinners ready? "looking out a window to raise the sun." "He's not here. I saw him leaving the castle with Vinyl." Celestia's face turned red with anger, silver had snuck out of castle against her direct orders; and worst of all he snuck out with one of the worst influences her son could have. "Cadance, tell Luna I'm gonna late; I need to find my son." Vinyl was waiting in a small lifeless room were the only colors were her mane and silver. "Is he gonna be ok doc?" Vinyl asked, pacing around the room knowing that she'll killed if Celestia found out. "Yes mama he'll be fine, he just has a few broken bones and a moderate concussion. But he should be considered Lucky I've seen broken ribs kill before." "Oh thank Celestia." Vinyl said relived "Thank me for what, not killing you when I had the chance." Celestia said viciously,"I don't want year anywhere near my son, whenever your around him something bad happens, he's the only son I've ever had and I'm not losing him!" her motherly rage taking over causing  Vinyl to burst into tears. "But...but, I love him!" Vinyl cried. "If you truly did than this wouldnt have happened." "It wasn't my falt!" Vinyl screamed as she ran out in tears. "What's going on; Why was Vinyl crying, what did you say to her!?" Silver screamed at his mom. "She is not allowed to see you anymore, she is the reason your like this." Celestia then cast what probably is the best healing magic in Equstria making Silver's injuries disappear. "Mom did you just saying I'm going to ponyville?" His emerald green eyes lighting up; this would be the first time Silver had physically seen Twilight since the weeding two years ago. "Not going to, moving to ponyville; and you'll be living with Twilight." Celestia said causing her sons mouth to water. "Why?" Silver said waking form his daze and remembering what just happened to Vinyl and that this could be part of his moms plans "Just because I get see one of best friends, doesn't mean can just keep my other one away from me." "Listen, Silver it's not just Vinyl It's the parties, coming home drunk, getting in to fights because your too emotional, the countless mares I have to use anti pregnancy spells on in their sleep; Your the only son I've ever and I'm not going to lose you cause you've did some stupid and you need to be a real prince your twenty-four now its time I can't watch over you forever and ponyville is the best place to learn how." Celestia said sadly. She hated  to do this too her son but it's what's best for him. "Now go write Twilight and tell her your coming, and hey  you may even get your cutie mark over there." She said trying to cheer him. Silver was however left speechless as they left for the castle.
