Dinner For Two

Previous Chapter

A few days after Trixie and Mac' last 'date'...

"Big Mac, why are ya goin' out so much?" AJ asked.

Big Macintosh was making sure his tuxedo was clean. He brushed his hoof along his chest. "Uhm... Well..." Big Mac couldn't find any words to say. He couldn't tell Applejack what Trixie and him were really doing...

"Did ya find ya a nice mare?" AJ giggled.

"Actually, yes." Mac replied.

Applejack had a funny look on her face, like she was about to laugh. "Oh, c'mon big brother, you don' have ta lie ta me." She chuckled.

"But ah'm serious." He replied, his eyes were dead serious.

"Oh... Well, who's the lucky mare?" She asked.

"Her name is Trixie." He replied, not knowing about AJ and her friends meeting her a while back.

"W-WHAT?!" She exclaimed. "Y-YOU CAN'T DATE HER!" She added.

"Why in tarnation is that?" He asked.

"B-Because, she's nothing but a mean little bitch!" She exclaimed.

Big Mac was shocked at Applejack's language. "No AJ, your wrong! She's ah nice mare!" He replied.

"But ya haven't even seen the horrible things she said and done ta us." She said.

"What has she done ta you?" He asked.

"Well... She... Uh..." AJ stuttered.

"See, she's not aa bad pony. You just don't want me datin' mares." He snapped at her.

"Big brother, ah don't mind ya datin' mares, but Trixie..." AJ paused. She sighed "Fine, you can date 'er, but i'm keepin' a close eye on you two. I'll be watching you like ah cat watching ah mouse." She replied.

"Okay, AJ." He replied, not really interested in what Applejack had just said.

"Ah'll be home soon." He said.

"Alright, ah'll see ya later, big brother." She replied.

With that, Mac trotted to the front door, and opened it. It almost dark, the sun has almost settled.

He trotted to the place he would meet Trixie, the fanciest restaurant in Ponyville. Sure, it was a pizza place, but it was still a fancy restaurant.

As Mac approached the restaurant, he spotted Trixie waiting by the door.

Trixie's eyes sparkled as Big Mac appeared in fromt of her. "Well hello, Big Mac." She stated.

"Hello there, Miss Trixie." Mac replied. "Shall we go inside?" He added.

"Yes, of course we shall. It shall be the greatest of all dinners." She replied, with a grin.

Big Mac opened the door for Trixie. She trotted in, and was greeted by the waiter.

"Hello, and welcome to Roma's Pizza." The waiter said. "A table for two ponies?" He asked.

"Eeyup." Big Mac replied.

"Okay then, right this way." The waiter said, trotting to a nearby table.

Big Mac and Trixie followed.

"Wow, this place sure is fancy for a pizza parlor." Mac whispered.

"Yes, it is." Trixie replied.

"Okay, here is your table." The waiter stated, as he turned around and pointed to the table with his hoof.

"Thank ya." Mac replied.

Trixie sat on one side, while Mac sat on the other.

The waiter then handed two menus to them. "Okay, what will we be having for a drink?" The waiter asked.

"Ah'll have ah glass of water." Mac replied.

"Hmmm... Trixie will have water as well." She replied.

"Two waters? Okay then, i'll be right back with that." The waiter replied, heading toward the kitchen.

Mac looked around, he still couldn't believe how fancy this place was.

"Too fancy?" Trixie asked.

"No, ah just never been in a restaurant this fancy." Mac replied.

"Really? Trixie would think a fine stallion like yourself has been in far more fancier restaurants than this." She replied back, with a wink.

Big Mac blushed a little. "Aw, ah ain't that fancy." He whispered.

"Nonsense! Trixie thinks you are the fanciest stallion in Ponyville!" She replied.

Big Mac's blush only got redder. "Aw, thank ya." He said.

Trixie looked deeply into his eyes as a response.

"And here is the water you two wanted." The waiter had returned with two glasses of water with lemon.

"Thank ya." Mac said.

"Yes, thank you." Trixie added.

"Now, what will we be eating?" The waiter asked, taking out a pad of paper and a pencil.

"Oh, uh, we haven't really looked at the menus yet." Mac replied.

"No problem. Look over the menu, and i'll be back shortly to take your order." The waiter replied, trotting away.

Mac and Trixie opened their menus simultaniously.

Both Trixie and Mac looked at all the tasty meals on the menus.

"Oh wow, everything looks so good." Mac said.

"Yes it does." Trixie replied.

"Ah think ah'll have the veggie pizza. No, the pineapple! NO, the cheese!" Mac stuttered.

Trixie giggled. "Your cute when your like that." She complimented.

Mac blushed. "Thank ya." He replied.

"Trixie's knows what she'll have. A pineapple pizza." She said, closing her menu.

"Uh, ah'll have the same thing." Mac added, closing his menu, too.

A few moments of silence passed, and then Trixie spoke. "So... Um... I hear that pineapple pizza is sweet." She said.

"Eeyup." Mac replied.

"I know something of yours that's sweet, too." She winked.

"Uh, thanks." He replied with a blush.

Soon, the waiter came back. "Okay, are we ready to order?" The waiter asked.

"Eeyup." Mac replied. "We'd both like four slices of pineapple pizza." He added.

The waiter wrote down the order. "So one whole pizza being split between the two of you?" He asked.

"Yes." Trixie replied.

"Okay, it won't be long before it's done." The waiter replied back, trotting to the kitchen.

"You think we'll really be able to eat all that, Mac?" Trixie stared at Big Mac, a little confused as to why he would order that much.

"Ah know we'll be able to." Macintosh chuckled.

Trixie giggled along with him.

Meanwhile, back at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack paced around her room. She still couldn't get over the fact that her big brother was dating the mare she despised the most.

"Ah can't believe Big Mac would do this... He's datin' that little..." Applejack tried her best not to say the "b" word.

"Ah just hope ah never have to see her... I'd knock her teeth right outta her snout!" Applejack snarled.

:After a moment of calming down, and pacing around, Applejack sat on her bed.

"Ah wonder how's it going for the both of 'em." Applejack wondered.

She thought hard about a way that she could possibly know what they're doing.

"Ah could spy on 'em... But that wouldn't be right." AJ sighed,

Applejack looked down, her eyes staring at the floor.

"Maybe ah should accept the fact that Big Mac is datin'... Her..." Applejack looked up, moving her eyes up, and quickly moving them back down.

"But still... She's always gonna be that stuck up little bit-" Applejack paused, restraining herself from saying the "b" word again.

Applejack sighed, and laid down on her back. She scooted herself over to her pillow and laid her head on it.

"I think ah need to rest a while..." She said to herself. "Talkin' about all this is just..." Applejack finished her sentence there, not really answering it.

She slowly closed her eyes, putting her hooves in front of her, stretching.

"Aaaaahhhh..." Applejack sighed, relieved, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
