i had just returned from my day of mining i went back to the house my two friends where doing what they usually did Carl was making potions and Kevin was making weapons and armor im Steve i mine the materials they use to do their jobs i also hunt and guard the fort im also a good scout we all like hang out after dark and on full moons we go kill as many zombies as possible but what i should have known was that curiosity killed the cat
"hey what on earth is that?" Carl pointed at a green glow coming from a tree
"dibs on killing it if its hostile" Kevin shouted in his usual happy tone as he drew a sword out
"well im going to see what it is since i have the most experience in fighting" they both nodded in agreement as i approached it
"well what is it Steve?" i was shocked at what i was looking at
"Steve? are you...oh my notch" Carl was equally shocked
"whats so...so...its beautiful" Kevin's eyes widened as he looked at the glowing object
"its...its the legendary...forest diamond" i said with complete awe
"WOO HOO WE CAN DO ANYTHING WITH THIS ITS LIKE A NEVER ENDING DIAMOND" Carl picked it up before giving it to me "you keep it Steve you deserve it besides you have the hard job" i smiled as the green diamond glowed a bright green
we took it home and we each got our own set of diamond gear i grabbed all the items from my chest since i like to sleep with all my stuff and we all went to sleep happy that we found the legendary forest diamond
in dream world
i traveled through the nether killing wither skeletons as i go i gathered nether rack and glow stone i was happy as i went through the nether without any worries but just as i thought i was going to get another kill a massive portal opened i looked at it with wide eyes i couldn't help it as i entered and found myself surrounded by nothingness just a endless white void i walked for what seemed like hours but then the unmistakable sight of hero brine caught my eye i tried to run but i couldn't move i could only get closer to him i kept trying to escape but it only got me closer to him my head was aching but then that's when i realized something
"wait...why am i running? this is my dream world" i perked up and looked at him he looked at me with blank eyes as i summoned a wall between us i lough'd as i heard him claw at it but i soon shut my mouth when i began falling into pure nothingness
in the ever free forest
i woke up with a scream and sweat on my head i looked around to see i was outside but something was different instead of oke wood it was something else but before i could examine it a roar came from behind me i had my diamond armor on so i wasn't as afraid until i actually turned around and saw a manticor i have seen a few before but never this close or this angry i pulled out my sword and pointed at the creature as it tried to leap at me i slashed at it cutting its eyes before stabbing its head with break neck speed i looked around to see if anything else was going to come out all i noticed was trees but one was off it had a door so i ran to it and knocked

nothing happened so i decided to go on and leave i followed my instinct i had a talent when it came to finding building and temples i could tell from the landscape i ran through the forest looking at how the landscape was put eventually i came across a village it appeared to be full of... pony's?
"what...in celestia...is that?" i heard one of them say as almost all the animals looked at me with fear it was probably due to the fact my armor made me look intimidating and scary i smiled and tried to look as friendly as possible
"umm hello...im Steve...uhh can anyone tell me where i am?" i tried to say calmly as i slowly approached the town slowly
they all looked at me at first they where calming down but then they all froze as i also heard a familiar noise behind me i turned to see a tall black purple eyed man looking at me his arms slowly reaching for me i drew my sword and stabbed its head then cut off its legs before kicking its face
"its okay i have seen them before just let me take care of it" i turned to see a purple unicorn looking at me with a star on her flank
"wow a human i thought those where just legends but...wow what is that armor even made of? its beautiful yet intimidating" i smiled since now i knew they weren't that afraid of me
"the armor is made of pure diamond its strong enough to last a very long time and can protect from allot of strong blows" she looked at me with slight surprise
"diamonds? who uses diamond in armor diamonds are used in clothing or jewels not armor" i raised a eyebrow as i was tempted to show her what the armor could do
"well then go ahead hit me wont feel a thing"
"no i wont hit you i wouldn't want to hurt a near extinct species" i rolled my eyes
"well anyway im Steve its nice to see other talking creatures besides me and my 2 main friends"
"im twilight sparkle come with me ill show you around" i followed twilight around allot of places some ponies looked at me as i was looking around unimpressed from the simplicity of their structures
"and this is sweet Apple archers its a Apple farm run by the Apple family" i was slightly shocked
"wait what? run by one family? where i come from everyone shared everything even their most sacred belongings and your saying a whole farm is being run by a single family?" she looked at me with a confused look
"well of course how else are they going to make money to pay for food?" my jaw dropped and nearly kicked a fence post
"WAIT MONEY? what is wrong with you pony's haven't you ever heard of helping others where i came from no one had to pay for anything everyone helped everyone we ran on trust and friendship and we all divided everything evenly among-st the society surely you must be kidding" her eyes widened as i face palmed
"well we cant just give away everything we need something to keep everything balanced you know trading and such"
"*Sigh* listen trading is a bunch of dirt ok? we don't trade anything if someone needs food we give them food if someone needs a home we give them a home if someone cant get something they need we give it to them and if we run out of what we need we go and get more of it but if you honestly think this type of society can survive long enough to face HIM then lets see you beat the man when half your society is too tired and angry to help whatever government is being run heir" i knew i was not making sense to her but i didn't see the point in trading when you could help another out of kindness rather than greed
twilight just turned and continued walking with a odd look to her

"and this is the lie berry and it doubles as my home" my eyes shot open when i noticed a certain book and rushed to get it "the book of enchantments? whats so special about that?" i opened the book and my sword began to glow
i began reading the words in the chanting tone i use while enchanting my stuff as soon as i finished a bright glow came from the grip and enchanted my sword twilight's eyes widened as my sword now had a symbol of a lightning bolt and fire on the side
"what did you do?" i smiled in excitement as i looked at my new enchanted sword
"i enchanted it with speed and fire" that meant that i could swing it twice as fast and sets things on fire
"their was nothing in the book saying their where enchantment like those"
i spent the next 4 minutes explaining how i lived in my old home or region rather and how i got to where i was
"so...you survive in the wilderness by cooperating with each other no matter how ridicules or risky ones request is?...wow i never knew friendship could go so deep to the point of willing to do such...dangerous things well i knew friendship was powerful and i would also help my friends in any way possible but you actually killed 600 creatures just to save one friend? even i wouldn't go at it alone but you just did whatever it took to save him even if it meant dying that is very loyal of you" she smiled after she said that as i remembered the time in the former town i ran
"well we all need to stick together to survive so friends are more important than anything else we do" i looked out the window thinking about what my friends are doing and i noticed that it was getting dark
"oh we should find you a place to sleep if you want i could get a few pillows and a blanket and make a makeshift bed or if you don't like that..." she blushed as she thought of another option "if you want you could share my bed" i could tell she wanted me to refuse
"no thanks i always carry a spare bed" i pulled out a bed and plonked it down on the floor twilight looked shocked
"HOW IN THE NAME OF LUNA DID YOU CARRY A WHOLE BED?!" i chuckled at her reaction.
"all of us can do it its natural" she nearly fainted
"well okay...good night" she looked confused as she went upstairs
the next morning
i woke up to the sight of a pink pony smiling at me along with 5 others one of them being twilight
"morning Steve i would like you to meet my friends" she pointed a hoof at 5 pony's as they each gave me their names
"well hello all of you im Steve and i...what...is...that?" i looked outside the window looking at what looked like a lion crossed with a bird i was slowly reaching for my bow
"oh her she is a griffon her name is Gilda but she is a total HEY WAIT" rainbow rushed as i drew back my arrow taking aim but i was stopped before i could release the string "SHE ISN'T A THREAT" i took another look at it before it flew away i put my bow and arrow back
"sorry im just so used to killing anything that looks like a threat and that looked like a big one"
"well she is just like the rest of us kind of" rainbow said
i saw a large open space in a field and due to instinct went to build something all 6 of the pony's looked in confusion as i rapidly built a house out of stone wood and bricks when they all arrived they looked in shock at how fast i built the house from the ground up
"b-b-b-b-but that's not possible...how can a single creature build a house of that size in such short notice" twilight looked in complete shock i was nearly certain she would faint
i walked out of my new house and looked at it to see if i could improve it in any way i already had all the rooms: dinning hall,bakery,armory,enchantment room,potion room,black smith,beacon room,wheat farm and a voult for storige i looked back to see all the pony's wide and shocked
"you like it? not my best work but i can only do with so much" after i said that twilight actually fainted
"so... awesome" rainbow said as she entered the living room
"simply amazing" rarity said as she saw the surprising amount of jewels around the house
"their are no words to describe how impressed i am" Apple jack said as she explored the house which was about the size of a castle
i began remembering how my friends where i knew that they could handle themselves but i still missed them even though it was only 2 days ago i last saw them but i pushed the thoughts to the back of my head as i gave my new friends a tour of the house twilight now awake after i poured some water on her head
about 4 hours later
they all had left still having that amazed look in their eyes they all had something to do and since i had nothing better to do i decided i would go hunting i put my unwanted stuff in a chest and took the key with me i had mt:bow,sword,arrows,magic fire staff,armor, compass,watch and some food
i entered the forest my sword in hand and my eyes darting around looking for anything odd just as i was getting settled i had heard screaming that sounded like a little girl i rushed twords it stopping occasionally to look around i eventually found three frightened little pony's being surrounded by wolves made of wood i yelled as i charged in and slashed hitting two of them one in the jaw the other in the eyes i tackled another one i counted 7 of them and had already taken ones eyes out so their where 4 uninjured ones 1 blind one another with a broken jaw and i just tackled one to the ground i imidiatly got up and my instincts of combat kicked in time seemed to slow as i planned out my move my eyes went completely white just like hero-brine's eyes but only with a shade of red time resumed as my eyes went back to normal
'kill' was what i heard as i slashed at each of the wooden hounds kicking some in the face i killed 5 and heavily injured 1 the last one began shaking as i pulled my sword out of one of the dead hounds i looked at it as i approached my eyes getting their usual 'killer' look to them as i grabbed its throught and plunged my sword down its neck
"you should have ran while you had the chance" i said as i slowly turned to the 3 slightly more calm little pony's "are you ok? they didn't hurt you did they?" the orange one nodded
"nope we'r all ok thanks for saving us im Scootaloo and this is Apple bloom and sweaty bell we are the..."
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS" they all yelled i chuckled a little as i led the way back to pony vill - end chapter 1
