The day that Princess Celestia brought Discord down to Ponyville, was a day that most ponies thought would end terribly. All but one.Fluttershy, she was a quiet mare, always taking care of her animals and her friends. And when she finds that she is needed to tame the Spirit of Chaos, Discord, she thinks of him as not a monster, but as a living creature with feeling who has been mis-understood. After she takes him in her care, things start to get interesting. ***THAT'S ALL I WILL SAY. THE REST MAY BE OBVIOUS. THERE MAY BE A FEW CHAPTERS, AS THIS IS NOT A BIG FAN FICTION***

Chapter 1: Confronting

"Hey slackers! Double-time it on over to Ponyvill would ya'? We're all waiting on you!" Said the Rainbow colored mare, Rainbow Dash, whizzing off to where she came from. Fluttershy and Applejack, the two Mares who were being waited on, looked at eachother, nodding, and making their way to Ponyville.

"I realize that this is a tall order..." Said the ruler of Equestria, Princess Celestia. "But I wouldnt ask if I werent confident you could get him to use magic, obideantly of his own free will." The princess explained to the delicate, quiet mare, Fluttershy. "And... You really think I'll know best how to do that?" Said Fluttershy, in a softer, uncertain tone. The princess saw her uncertainty, putting a hoof to Fluttershy's chin, lifting it. "I do..." The princess said with a smile. Fluttershy blushes abit, knowing she is trusted with this task. The Princess gets into her chariot, getting ready to leave the town of Ponyville. "Now I must return to canterlot for Equestria's royal summit. You may release Discord when ready..." She then takes off back to Canterlot. After this, Twilight Sparkle, the honorable student of the princess, leads the 6 mares to the statue that was once Discord, the spirit of chaos. She and the mares preform the magic of friendship to release Discord. After the "spell", he is released from his statue formation. Discord groans in a sarcastic way, stretching, already causing chaos... Turning a small squirl into a large, muscled rodent, and a herd of rabbits into vicious animals. After the mares get everything sorted out, Fluttershy takes him back to her home, since she was in charge of "changing" Discord. "Alright, we're here..." Fluttershy said with her always quiet voice as she entered her home. Discord makes way to the couch, flopping himself onto it, making Angle, Fluttershy's pet bunny, move off of the couch. Angle looks at Discord with an angry expression. Fluttershy notices and tells Angle, "It wont be for long Angle bunny... He needs to be as comfterbal as he wants." Fluttershy dose her "puppy-dog smile", making Angle nod and hop off someplace else. Discord groans again, streatching once again. The stretching almost causes the couch to break. "So, they put YOU in charge of "re-habilitating" me? The weakest of them all?" Discord says in his sarcastic voice. This makes Fluttershy weep a little bit, as she has been insulted. This dosnt seem to go through Discord's mind, as he keeps rambling on. "They should have put that sporty pony in charge of it, she would have done a much bet-" Discord is cut off by a sound... He isnt certain where its coming from, or what it is, but it's a soft, almost crying sound. He then looks over at the now shaking mare in the corner of the room, facing away from him. Discord can't help but stop talking, now just looking at Fluttershy as she cries there. After about a minute of him being silent, he speaks up. "A-are you alright Miss uhm... Fluttershy, was it?" He says in a less sarcastic, evil tone. And replaces his usual tone with a soothing voice. She looks up at him from the corner, tears streaming down her face. "I... Im fine..." She sniffs abit, standing up. "Make yourself at home... I need to do some errands..." She says, leaving her home.

Discord is now sitting on the couch, speachless, knowing he just hurt that small, innocent mare. He decides to clean up a little around her home, feeling terrible for what he said. He feels that this is just a small way of saying sorry. After around an hour or two, she returns. She has some fresh food and other small things you would get at a market. She enters the door, eyes widening at the spotless home that she had not seen when she left. She looks at Angle. "Angle bunny, did you clean the cottage for me?" She smiles at Angle. Angle stops his floppy feet, looking up at Discord, insuring Fluttershy that it was Discord who had cleaned the house. "Y-You... Cleaned the cottage?" She is now looking up at Discord. Discord sighs, but smiles a small smile, showing his pure white teeth. "Yes, I cleaned the house up a bit. I-It was the least I could do after what I said..." Fluttershy is somewhat speachless now. She continues to look at him. After about 10 seconds of silence and straight eye contact, she responds, "Why... Thank you Discord..." She smiles at him, bringing the food into the kitchen, putting some into the pantry, but leaving some fruit out. She grabs a knife and a bowl, cutting the fruits up into little peices, putting them into the bowl. She brings the bowl of fruit out to the "monster". Discord smiles at her, "I-Is this for me?" Said the now calmed down beast. Fluttershy smiles and nods slightly, sitting to eat with him...
