Linkin Pony- Recharge

It was dark, and the night had come. Faint buzzing came from the mill, and all the ponies slept. They had gotten many ponies to work with earlier that day, and had many plans ahead. They knew that they could travel easier, knowing the area a bit more, and more ponies would help.
The peak of the night rose, and black filled the hallway. But then the door at the end cracked open. A glow of indigo light the way. SpinningNote poked his head out. He thought that he had heard a noise. But how could he hear a noise, being at the end of the hallway? Had nopony else heard it? Or was it just the buzzing of the mill?
Spinning took a few steps forward, and registered his ears. The buzzing was constant, and what he heard before was a sudden noise, as quiet as it was. Maybe it was nothing.
But suddenly, a low tap sounded from the mainroom. Spinning stiffened. He then took very tough steps forward. He gazed into the darkness, and a flash of red sparked. A deep grumble startled the Unicorn and he jotted back. His heart raced. Another noise came from behind.
"What are you doing?" A voice snapped.
Spinning flipped his head. "R-Rhythm." He couldn't see him, but he could hear his voice. "There's a Hybrid!"
"What? How could a Hybrid get in here?"
CharmingRhythm's silhouette came out and looked to the mainroom, and the flash of red came out again. Both ponies jumped back this time. And again, another pony came out. The little light showed the Pegasus' fluffy mane as he came forward.
"Why are you up?"
"Be quiet." SpinningNote mumbled.
The stood there in silence, as more ponies came out of their room to find out about the commotion. Soon enough, they were all awake. This was probably bad, since Hybrids go towards movement.
"How the hell did it get in?" BlazingFlair's voice asked.
"I don't know?" Rhythm retorted.
A growl came from the corner, and distorted words were spoken. "Surrender now."
"What the fuck!" HyperBlitz yelled. "Hybrids can speak?"
Suddenly, Rhythm bounced out. "You want US to surrender? You're the one who broke into our base!"
But the Hybrid did not replied, for it's instincts made it come forward to attack.
EchoBeat clicked his hooves on switches, but noting seemed to work. "Rhythm! The lights are out!!!"
The Unicorn swirled around. "There is one light I know will work."
He galloped to the computer desk and went underneath it. The other ponies pushed the Hybrid away, as it lashed out it's fury. Jut then, CharmingRhythm pressed a button, and the floor beneath the ponies lit up. The symbol that was on the ground glowed white with pride.
"Okay, that's sweet." Hyper smirked.
"This Hybrid is strong! He's not going down!" FeatherTune said, and he fluttered upward.
It seemed that no matter what they did, nothing helped. All of the ponies hit the enemy, and threw it around. The Hybrid slammed on the ground and just got back up. HeartFelt stood to the side. She noticed the generator was still working. But why were the lights not able to work? She was very confused, and she didn't know much about the base. One thing she did know, was that pure energy direct on a Hybrid would kill them.
CharmingRhythm pushed the Hybrid onto the wall, but then its back legs, covered by metal, pushed him off, slamming him onto the ground. Rhythm struggled to get up, and BlazingFlair stood by his side. The the orange pony charged forward. The Hybrid attacked Blazing, and a laser shocked him, leaving a bloody bruise on his right shoulder. Blazing fell down, and lifted his head up, staring at his enemy.
Suddenly, a lime-green aura zoomed out, holding a wire. The wire flickered with blue, and the aura stuck it right into the Hybrid's heart. The metal on the being cracked, it's red glow burned out as it screeched. It fell to the ground with rust and blood. CharmingRhythm got to his hooves and gazed around. All of the ponies stared at HeartFelt.
"Did you..." FeatherTune tried to speak.
"That was awesome!" HyperBlitz yelled out. "You just killed that hybrid." He then placed his foreleg around her. "I never thought you had it in you!"
The mare pulled away from Hyper, and lowered her head. HeartFelt turned around and ran down the hallway in shame. Hyper glanced at the stallions with confusion. The all shrugged. Then CharmingRhythm ran after her. HyperBlitz followed.
The pegasus stopped at the end of the hall, and sat down by the door on the right. He really didn't want to bother them, but he listened. He wondered why HeartFelt had ran away from them.
Inside, Rhythm placed his head low and watched HeartFelt. "What's wrong? Why did you just run away like that? You just killed that hybrid, you should be happy. You know it deserved to die."
HeartFelt had a hard time grasping air. Her gaze stayed staring down. "It's.... it's not that..."
"Have you ever killed a hybrid before?"
HeartFelt tilted her head slowly. "Yes...but it was only for..." The glow off of Rhythm's metal hoof showed agony in the mare's eyes.
"It's okay." Rhythm whispered, somehow, know what she meant. He tilted forward and kissed the ridge of her muzzle. "We're gonna make everything right...soon. These Hybrids... they're gonna fuck off. I promise you."
HeartFelt's breath shook. She looked into the energy, which the glow burned her eyes. She looked up, and Rhythm's gaze reassured her.
