good bye my friend

this short story is centered around my cousins favorite charactor lyra.  I doubt it will reach 1000 but possible half that.

She laid there, looking at the ceiling. She yawned and looked at the clock, 7:45. He wont be here for another 30 minutes.

"Ugh" She moaned. She didnt want to wait, she could never hold still while waiting.  She got up and streatched her hooves out.

"A nice warm shower could pass the time." she said to herself.

After drying off she looked at the clock again 8:00

*sigh* only 10 more min- *knock knock*

"lyra im early."

"BLUEWING" Lyra shouts as she wraps her hooves around him.

"Hey now calm down now." he says as he hugs her back.

"You ready?"

"You know it." he replied

Lyra and Bluewing met when he had just moved to ponyville. He had always been alone and got picked on a lot back where he came from. Lyra had been hanging out with BonBon that day when she saw him.  She didnt think much of him and went back to talking with BonBon.

"Lets hope this place is nicer then the last." He said as he picked up his bags and went to town hall to get a home. As he is walking he feels a few ponies glaring at him.

"Great not even 10 minutes and i already have people targeting me." He says picking up the pace. He can hear them following him.

"Shit really." He says as he starts to run.

He turns a few corners only to see a dead end.

"No." He cries out in dismay.

"Well well look who just came into town boys." Says the stallion behind you.

"Ok guys very funny now leave me alone." He says backing up against the wall.

"Why should we the fun is just about to begin." They laugh as the start to get closer to you.

"Hey! leave him alone." He looks up to see a very light aquamarine unicorn come around the corner.

"Or what?" the largest one says.

"Or this." She says as her horn lights up and her magic surrounds the 3 stallions.

"Hey cut it out!" they say.

"Or what?" she says in a mocking tone as she forces them aside with her magic.

"You alright?" She ask as she walks up to you.

"Y-Yeah thank you." He says as he grabs his things.

"Come on lets go. Oh and by im Lyra." She says as you and her leave the ally "Oh and by the way if i ever catch you messing with him again the punishment will be worse." Lyra says as she lets go of them.

"By the way,"he says "Im bluewing."

"Nice to meat you now were where you heading?"

"Oh i was heading towards town hall to get a house."

"You can stay with me it would be easier till you get to know everyone." She offers him with a warm smile.

"Yeah that would be nice." He agrees.

For the next few years Lyra and Bluewing became best of friends. You couldn't find them apart for long, always laughing talking or just laying under a tree. Someponies still made fun of Bluewing but Lyra was always there for him. She was always there to confert him when he was upset and vise versa. They were almost like brother and sister. many ponies thought they were because of how closen they were.

"You ready Bluewing."

"Yup!" They left her house and went to their favorite spot under the big appletree at the farm.

They sat there for a while and talked. When they got bored of that they started to chase each other. Lyra was always faster on land but Bluewing could always catch her once he took flight.

"Thats cheating." Lyra giggled as she took him in her magic and put him back on the ground.

"Awwww" He pouted at her. After another hour of running around they finally stopped and laid next to their tree.

They sat and talked while they watched the sun set and the moon rise.

"It is always so beautiful." Lyra said with a sigh.

"Yup."

"...Lyra?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For everything."

"No problem." She says as she brings him into a hug. they sat there hugging for a while and enjoyed it till they fell asleep under the old apple tree.

"And we lived happily forever after." He said trying to hold back crying.

"Thank you Bluewing. You always told the best stories." Lyra said with a tear rolling down her cheek. "Im sorry it couldn't have lasted longer."

"Me to Lyra." He said starting to cry. "But where your going it will last forever."

"It wont be the same though."

"I know Lyra-*sob*-But i will join you. Maybe not soon but i will join you eventully." He couldnt hold it in any longer. He broke down he couldnt hold in it any longer "Oh Celestia Lyra i don't want you to go."

"Shshshshsh. Please Bluewing dont cry. I promise i'll be always be by your side untill we can be reunited." She tried her best to confert him.

"Damnit Damnit damnit Lyra im sorry i cant help you. Your the only one i ever got along with." He takes a second to breath a bit.

"Its ok please dont tare yourself up over it. I-I want you to have this." She reaches over to her nightstand drawer and pulls out her insterement."

"No Lyra please dont talk like that not yet nonono please not yet."

"I have to go, the great pony is calling me." "i loved you Bluewing i loved you more then anything in the world i wish it could have been longer too."

"I love you to Lyra i fuckin loved you to."

"Please take it to remember me by and it will always contain my love for you." "Now i have to go. im sorry Bluewing."

"Im sorry to lyra. Just promise me you will wait for me by the tree like always."

"I will my love, i will." She says as she closes her eyes.

Bluewing sat there crying over her till Celestia herself had to force him out.

"I love you lyra and i always will." He said looking at her insterment.
