CHAPTER 1

Milo was running for his life. Behind him, a grueling mass of flesh and bone, covered in crimson that seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. It was her. She was coming for him. There was nothing he could do. He frantically woke up on his makeshift bed in the basement of his house. He remembered that even here, he wasn’t safe for a moment. He picked up the sleek black pistol on the coffee table next to him and turned the safety off. He took a look at his watch, 9:30 AM. He had slept through night, which was a good thing. Milo was unnervingly afraid of the dark. He stepped into the bathroom on the right to relieve himself.

After he’d finished, he looked into his mirror. Something then grabbed him and shoved a knife up to his throat, threatening to make the cut. Milo then caught a glimpse of his assailant. A crimson red and sky blue Pegasus that Milo had remembered well, now bloodied and evil looking. “Hello. Remember me?” she said with a voice that made Milo sick to his stomach. All of a sudden, painful thoughts- no, memories rammed themselves into Milo’s head, sickening memories of being killed in a painful manner. When Milo regained consciousness of his world, he yelled, “Get away from me you freak!!” and threw a punch aimed towards the Pegasus. The fist connected with the snout, and there was a sickening crack as she fell to the ground. Milo fired a few shots into her and he was off.

Slamming the bathroom door behind him Milo decided that if she popped through, he would attack her with the metal baseball bat he had in the closet. He sprinted to the closet, picked up the bat, and was about to leave when he found the Pegasus blocking his exit. He ran to her and slammed the bat onto her head, hearing another crack. Milo got a warm feeling. He was winning! He was beating the monster! But then to his horror he saw that it was not that he was beating her up, in fact she wasn’t feeling anything at all, any cuts and bruises healing almost immediately. The monster then got up and said: “You’re gonna go to my rainbow factory, kiddo.” She said with an intimidating, evil, wicked grin. And with that, she grabbed Milo’s baseball bat, swinging it into his face.

Milo was surprised that he wasn’t hurt at all. He felt no pain, as if the bat had not hit his skull.  Milo fell into a dark abyss. He liked this place better though. He felt he wouldn’t get hurt here. Unfortunately, that feeling was gone as Milo had a seething pain in his torso. He opened his eyes to find that he was no longer Milo Belleington. He was Infernus Flashbolt, an Allicorn of about age 20 in human years. And he was no longer in his extra bedroom in the basement of his house in Victoria, Minnesota. He was in Canterlot palace.

Infernus looked down at his chest to see red and white bones jutting out of rugged flesh. He winced at the pain and tried to move, though he couldn’t move anything, as if he was nailed to the ground. All he could do was move his head about, looking around. He looked at his forelegs. They had one of Lyra Heartstrings inventions on them. Robotic human hands with black gloves over them, which he used to most likely shoot the gun that lay next to him. Then he saw what he never wanted to see ever again. The same sky blue Pegasus, with some tough, official looking pegasi. He tried to move again. More frantically this time, but alas, it had the same results. He looked at the other wounded squirming ponies that seemed to be his squad of soldiers. One of them, his dad Salem Flashbolt, and another, his grandfather, Darkstar Flashbolt. There were other familiar faces, most likely friends and family, He was wondering where his mom and grandma were. His light grey coat by now, was drenched with blood, but he could tell that most of it wasn’t his.

His dad looked up at the blue pony. “Mom…why?” he asked, obviously in a lot of pain. There was a certain misery in his voice. “Because, Darling, you see, it’s quite simple,” started his apparent grandma. It was hard to believe that he was beaten by his own grandmother, but it couldn't have only been her. What about her soldiers? “I am the notorious Rainbow Dash! And I can’t let you stop me from killing Princess Celestia. I was sure she died after the nuclear fallout thing, but she didn't. And so now it’s time for me to take my honor, and sit upon her throne, as the new leader of Equestria!!” she announced. “You never were worthy of being my wife, Dashie. And that’s why I chose Vinyl. You killed her though.  An unmistakable crime. What makes you think you’re worthy enough to be my leader? Our leader? “ Began Darkstar. To Infernus’ surprise, she pulled out a Desert Eagle 50. Caliber pistol, and shot him where he lay. The pony had cheated death many times. But this time, it wasn’t a fake. He literally had a bullet wedged into his brain, a satisfied ghost of a smirk still on his face.

Also to Infernus’ surprise, Rainbow Dash had walked up to him with an evil grin on her face. “Well, kiddo, I know this hurts, but there’s a whole lot more pain involved with what I have for you and your father. You’ll just have to wait and see; oh boy! I’m getting butterflies just from the excitement of this moment! …knock them out.” Rainbow Dash walked away, towards the castle. Infernus watched as the strong looking ponies shoved their boot into the faces of his comrades with no mercy. The last thing he saw was a boot coming down hard on his snout.
