It was a bright sunny day at Fluttershy's cottage, out on the outskirts of Ponyville, away from other ponies where she felt most comfortable. She was having one of her many tea-parties with her various animal friends, such as Angel Bunny, Harry Bear, and Pepper Pelican. The newest addition to these tea parties however was her as of now roommate, Discord, who she has befriended a while ago. Discord, while now being reformed, didn't spend much time in Ponyville. Instead deciding to befriend all the local wildlife, such as all of Fluttershy's animals, except for Angel, who still fought with each other on a regular basis. Angel had little success though in each of their little bouts.
This tea party was set just a few yards behind the house, in the shade of a nice oak tree whose leaves were made of lemondrops. This was thanks to Discord, when Fluttershy told him they had run out of lemons. Occasionally a lemon on the tree would juice itself, the liquid squirting into a pitcher or cup at an awkward angle.
"Discord, please pass the sugar," asked Fluttershy, filling up her cup with more tea.
"Why of course Fluttershy," replied Discord, before appearing several feet behind himself, decked in full baseball gear. Running about a full yard before throwing the two lumps of sugar directly into Fluttershy's tea, then suddenly appearing back in his place at the table.
"Oh thank you Discord!" said Fluttershy, clapping slightly to the performance. Angel Bunny just glared at Discord, having been the prior one to always get Fluttershy more sugar.
"Fluuuuttershy~!" came a ringing from the distance, all of the tea party's participants looked over beyond the house.
"Oh! I'll go see who it is," Fluttershy proclaimed almost immediately, before heading to her house. She decided to go through it, instead of flying over, as she didn't terribly like looking at the ground from that high up. When she got to the front door and opened it up slightly, looking out cautiously she saw something which made her smirk. It was Twilight and Pinkie Pie, although Twilight was different somehow. Maybe it was because she was pink, from her mane to her hooves. Pinkie was just as strange, being a shade of purple and her normally poofy mane blue with a pink highlight in front.
Twilight, oblivious to the change, brought her hoof to her mouth, coughing slightly, "Fluttershy, good! Celestia has chosen us to go on a diplomatic mission to Saddle Arabia, to host a sort of peace conference. She'd like all of us to go," she finished talking, smiling at her waiting for a reply.
"Oh, well, this is on such short notice, I'll need to find someone to take care of my animals of course, poor things can't take care of themselves after all," she answered the still pink-maned librarian, holding in a giggle.
"Well I'm sure Discord can take after them while we're gone, he's still around isn't he?" asked Twilight.
"Yeah! All those animals need their daily dose of chocolate milk after all! Where is he, maybe he can give me a gallon or two as a parting gift!" Pinkie Pie inquired, looking around, then she noticed Twilight, "Oh! I don't see Discord, but I think I see another Me!" she was soon on the ground in a laughing fit.
"Pinkie! I thought we got all of your clones from the Mirror Pool?" she looked around in a panic until she too noticed Pinkie. Then she starred at herself before leaping a foot off the ground and landed another foot behind her. She starred back and forth several times before yelling out, "Diiiscooord~!"
From behind Fluttershy came the familiar face of the one-fanged draconequus, "Oh hello Twilight! That's a nice new shade of color for you, that old one was making you too...frumpy!" he smirked, Twilight's face still unamused, "Now now, don't be like that, you should be more like Pinkie Pie here, she knows how to wear that color much better than you do," he said, snapping his fingers. The two ponies were now their correctly colored pasteled pony selves once again.
Pinkie gave a little pout, "Aww, and I could've pulled a good one on Spike," Twilight glared at her for a second before looking at Fluttershy again, who was now giggling, but only slightly.
"Now then, the others are waiting back in Ponyville," said Twilight, almost as giving an order.
"Well, I guess Discord could take care of my animals, but only if he wants too," Fluttershy gave a look up at Discord, who was busy swapping the wings of some nearby birds, causing them to swoop up and down at irregular intervals in their flight.. He gave a look back to them.
"Well, I don't see why I can't go on one of your little trips, this is the third one this month from little miss Prissy Pants."
"Princess CELESTIA picks us for a reason! As the Elements of Harmony, it is our duty to do our best for the Princess and all of pony kind," she said with smugness.
Discord then produced a tall glass of chocolate milk and proceeded to drink from it's contents, which never seemed to decrease in liquid. He held up his lion-paw towards the group, and it started transforming. His paw turned larger, more purple, and most bazaar of all, grew hair.
"Hi, I'm Twilight Sparkle, and I'm the Princesses faithful servant, who, if asked will gladly dye my coat white, and tattoo a sun over my butt! Oh, and did I ever mention those stories I write about Celestia and me in that special section of the library, I-" a familiar purple power appeared over the Twilight's mouth, closing it's tight. Even at this point Pinkie Pie was just starring at the thing. The Twilight head growing out of Discords arm just glared at the original.
"That is enough! Celestia told us it wouldn't be wise to bring you, since your appearance might frighten them!"
"Well fine then!" Discord shot back, his Twilight head transformed back to his, at least normal for Discord, lion paw, "I'll just, stay here, play poker with the guys," he shot a look at Angel Bunny, who was looking back from around the corner of the house and quickly ran out of view.
"Well, if it's really alright with you Discord..." Fluttershy said, giving Discord a sort of look that said, "Oh, I'm so sorry for bringing this on you all of a sudden, with no notice."
In reply, Discord was soon pushing the three ponies away from the cottage with only his two paws, with Pinkie riding on his tail before jumping off. She then walked away with the other two, drinking happily from a newly formed glass of chocolate milk.
"Oh, don't worry about me girls, I'll be just fine! Arrivederci! Ciao! Tatta!" Discord waved at the three girls, with only Pinkie and Fluttershy waving back. He turned around, bringing his griffon talons to his lion-paw and grinned wickedly, "Oh, those ponies always going on adventures. I'll show them, when Fluttershy gets back I'll tell her all about the adventure I had while they were gone! Oh yes, what fun this'll be!" he laughed before flying off into the distance, away from Ponyville or any other equine filled spot of land.
Behind the little cottage however, instead of a tea-party out under the lemon-drop tree, was a green round table. Various animals sat around it on differently-sized chairs. Angel, while hopping onto the table, wore a green poker visor. Dealing out cards one by one to each animal; which included Harry Bear and Pepper Pelican, he slowly chewed on the carrot in his mouth. In the middle of the table the animals had assorted various amounts of foodstuffs, which was mostly carrots and several fish.
