Chapters It was a cold dark night, as cold and as dark as King Sombra's black heart, no pony dared go out in to the night of Nightmare Moon, but there was one, just one tall mare like figure trotting down the street of Manehattan on this cold night. She trotted down the pavement in her light brown cloak cover her body and face. Hanging down from her under hood being held in her mouth was a basket made of ebony brown sticks and held together with beige string.
The pony kept walking down the pavement slowly like cat stalking a mouse, basket in mouth she approach the Manehattan Orphanage, she looked up at the building and stood there for several seconds before looking at the wood doors of the orphanage and trotting up to the doors. She lowered her head to the ground to place down the basket that she had been carrying, while she was lowering her head part of mane came from under hood, it was dark green in colour and as straight and curved off slightly at the end. The mare then laid the basket in front of the doors of the orphanage, placed a piece of paper of whatever was in the the basket and knocked at the door. The mare then trotted of without looking back, as if there were no regrets to her actions.
The door opened and out came of the building a mare, she was a earth pony with a pink coat and purple mane going down the left side of face, behind her neck and down the right side of her neck, her cutie mark was of several small hearts which were red with a bold white outline making them stand out from her coat. She trotted out in to the door way and looked around to fine no pony there, with a puzzled look on her face she looked at the ground, what she saw surprised her as she made a slight gasp. Laying on the ground was a ebony brown basket with a baby colt laying inside. The colt was a blue, as blue as Nightmare Moon's mane as told in the stories, he has a barely grown blond mane, laying on soft blanket with a smaller one on top, both with a creamy colour.
The pink mare leaned down and said in a whisper to the sleeping colt “Hello there little fella, where did you come from?” the colt then turned on to its side revealing a note that which put in-between him and the soft covers in the basket, the pink mare said to herself “What's that you have there?”
She picked up the piece of paper in her left hoof being sure not to disturb the sleeping colt, on the piece of paper it said “This is my little flyer Solar Blitz, please look after him for there will be a day I will be reunited with him, until that day look after him.” The mare was shocked that a mother would do this to her colt, but she felt that she should do what his mother requested of her. So she picked up the basket in her mouth and trotted in to the building and closed the door behind her.
The tale of the young Solar Blitz began there and then, growing up in a orphanage, not knowing why his mother had left him on the door step of this orphanage, nothing but the note as a memento of his mother. He grow up with friends and people he called family, but unknown to him he would soon meet his mother on one fated day where he would find out who is mother was and who he was. And mostly importantly what he was destined to do, the gears of fate started turning the moment he trotted in to the village of Ponyville.
The rays of Celestia’s sun covered the ground like butter on a slice of bread. The air was fresh and soul cleansing. The birds sang like a orchestra. The trees rustled slightly as the soft breeze blew thought their branches. All of these elements made a perfect day for anything and everypony outside on this day.
One such pony, who was trotting down the dirt road towards the village of Ponyville was a blue stallion with 2 light brown saddle bags over his back, he is pegasus pony with a gold blond mane and tail , his mane hanged mostly on the right side of his head but some of his mane went in front of his left hear handing down behind his left eye, his tail was rather straight but also a bit bushy but not too bushy, his blue coat made his emerald like eyes stand out from the rest of his face. His wings were folded at his side but when he did stretch his wings they were rather majestic and strong looking,his cutie mark was of three stars all connect with lines of light making a triangle shape.
As Ponyville came in to view a smile appeared on his face and said to him self “Finally here” he took the moment to look around and adsorb the scenery around Ponyville. He then started to trot towards Ponyville again, but on his way there he saw something and stopped to take a look. He saw a light blue pegasus with a rainbow coloured tail and mane, well what he could see of the pegasus's mane. He trotted closer to the pegasus and could clearly see that the pegasus's head was stuck in a tree.
“Hey is anyone there!?” the light blue pegasus shouted “If there is can you help me out?” she said with her hope slowly fading.
“Hello” the blond haired pegasus said in a slightly confused voice “I was just walking by and saw that you seem to have...well, how to put it”
“Got stuck in a tree?” the light blue pegasus said “Yeah... can you just help me out of this?”
“Oh right, should I just pull on your hind legs?” the blond haired pegasus asked looking for permission.
The light blue pegasus responded with “Yeah sure, just not too hard” a slight worry developed in her mind that her hind legs would come off.
The blond haired pegasus grab hold of the other pegasus's hind legs with his hoofs “On the count of 3 I will pull your legs, at the same you push yourself out, got it?” the blond haired pegasus asked.
“Yeah I got it, you pull I push” the light blue pegasus replied.
“Okay then, 1...2...3!!!” the blond haired pegasus yelled as he pulled the light blue pegasus's hind legs.
The light blue pegasus pushed at the same time her hoofs against the tree, after several seconds the light blue pegasus popped out the tree crashing in to the blond haired pegasus on the way out.
They both fell on the ground and after a few seconds of just taking in what happened the light blue pegasus lifted herself off the ground, offered a hoof and said to him “Sorry about that, I didn't mean to crash in to you on the way out” she let out a embarrassed giggle.
The blond haired pegasus grabbed the light blue pegasus's hoof and said while getting up “It's okay, just glad I can help a follow pony” he said in a happy tone “What's your name anyway?” he asked.
“Why I am the one and only Rainbow Dash, I am surprised you haven't head of me” she said in a smug voice while lifting up and hoof to her chest.
The blond haired pegasus looked back at the tree and then the place he just got up from “Are you sure it isn't Rainbow Crash?” he said with a smirk on his face.
“H-hey!” Rainbow Dash shouted while stomping her hoof and her checks turning red.
“I'm joking, I am Solar Blitz by the way, but just call me Solar, everyone does.” he said in apologetic tone of voice.
“Okay then Solar, you can just call me Rainbow” she said with the redness in her cheeks slowly fading “So why were you trotting by anyway?” she said with curiosity “Not many ponies come down here”
Solar Blitz looked at her and said “Ah, I am glad you brought that up, you see I am actually from Manehatten, but you see I have actually got job in Ponyville as a maths teacher at the school house”
Rainbow Dash looked at him and said “You don't really look like the type of person who would teach maths, no offence” her voice getting a little nervous towards the end.
Solar Blitz nodded “Non taken and I can see what you mean, but I really like maths, but it isn't my special talent though” he said turning to show rainbow his cutie mark “It's actually flying in the dead of night with nothing but the stars to keep me company” he said proudly, he then asked “What's yours?”
Rainbow Dash flew up in to the air and showed him her flank to show him her cutie mark of a lighting cloud with a bolt of rainbow coloured lightning coming out of the cloud “Mine represents my love for flying and what I achieved when I was just a filly” she said proudly.
“And what did you achieve as a filly?” he asked curiously with a puzzled look on his face.
A sinister grin appeared on Rainbow's face “Why don't you race and find out?” she then began flapping her wings.
Solar Blitz replied with “Sorry, I can't really at the moment” he showed her his saddle bags “Maybe some other time if you don't mind” he said in a disappointed tone of voice looking down at the ground.
“Oh, hey it's cool, tell you what there's a party going on tonight at Sugarcube Corner, if you in the mood come along I can introduce you to my friends” she said with a smile on her face “It's not too hard to find at all, just ask around a little”
Solar Blitz looked up at Rainbow “Yeah I come to the party, it will be interesting to see what friends a pegasus like you has, what time will the party be at?” he asked.
“The party will start at 7 so in about 6 hours” she replied “Anyway got to do some sky clearing, see you at the party” she flew while waving her hoof at Solar.
Solar Blitz replied with “Yeah see you there” waving his hoof at Rainbow Dash, he then turned back towards the road and headed to Ponyville, on his way there he smiled and said to himself “I'm already making new friends, hopefully I get along with her friends”
After asking around for about 10 minutes, Solar had found his house near the edge of Ponyville, the time was no 2PM 5 more hours left until the party, his house was lime coloured with several circle windows, the door was a light brown and made of wood with a wing carved in to it and the door was orientated to the right of house, the front of the house had a small garden which would be easy for Solar to attend to and not take a massive amount of time, around the garden was a fence with a gate made of fawn coloured wood, the gate lined up with the door and had a metallic silver handle on both sides of that gate, there was a gravel path that lead from the gate to the door with different coloured pieces of gravel some pearl white, some black, some orange and several other colours, the roof was like every other house in Ponyville with the that same light brown colour.
Solar had a impressed look on his face saying to him self “ Huh,exactly how it looked in the pictures.” he trotted up to the gate and trotted though the gate, he walked half way down the gravel path to turn and look at the small garden to his left, he looked carefully at the garden thinking “If I plant different coloured roses at the base of the window that would like really pretty” he nodded with a small smile appearing on his face. He turned back towards the door and trotted towards the door of the house.
As he walked up to the door he noticed a letter on the ground with his name written on the front. He picked up the letter in his left hoof and noticed that there was a bit of weight to the letter, he opened the letter and pulled out the fold piece of paper in his other hoof, he then looked in to the envelope because there was still some weight in it, he saw that there was the key to his house. He then unfolded the piece of paper and read it in his head.
“Dear Solar Blitz
I do you had a safe journey to Ponyville, I am writing this to tell you that you will be starting as the maths teacher on Monday and you should arrive at 8AM the latests, your lesson starts at 10AM and a you will also do a second lesson after lunch, I'll give you what you will teach them for the day before the lessons start, also if any of the foals give you any trouble make sure to deal with them, especially keep your on Applebloom, Silver Spoon, Sweetie Belle, Diamond Tiara and Scootaloo. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are friends but do not under any circumstance get along with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
That's all you really need to know for now, if you have any question either find me around Ponyvillle or talk to me on Monday morning, oh you may have noticed but I'll tell you in case you didn't your key for the house is in the envelope of this letter.

Solar Blitz frowned a little and thought to himself “Monday huh? Not much time to get know people” he then unlocked the door and locked it behind him as he went in, he looked around and took the look of the inside of the house,every wall was a cream white colour and the floor was wooden planks in a varnished fawn colour, there was a ebony brown cabinet to the left as he came in. Their a large archway down the hall, Solar trotted towards the arch way which led in to the living room which was fairly big compared to Manehatten living rooms. There was a red settee in the middle of the room facing the window to the left of Solar, there was another one opposite it facing towards the other end of the room, between the two settees was a coffee table, the legs and edges of the table were made from ebony wood and the centre was made of thick glass.
Solar trotted towards the settee closest to him and placed his saddle bags on the coffee table and lay down on his back while stretching his wings “Ah, feels so good to get off my hoofs and rest for a bit” he said in a relaxed tone of voice.
After a bit of time past Solar had fallen a sleep and when he awoke from his peaceful sleep and when he awoke he looked up above the archway leading to the hall, the clock was in the shape of the sun in a golden colour, the time on the clock read 5PM, Solar said to himself in a tired voice “Better get something to eat” he got up of the settee and reach in to his bag with with his right hoof and felt around until he found a pouch of bits. He then trotted towards the archway and when he passed though the archway there was a knock at the door, he looked at the door from the archway and thought “Why would somepony come knocking at my door?” he then trotted to the door and unlocked the door.
He pulled the door open to see a pink earth pony mare with a slightly darker pink fluffy mane and tail, he could see that the pink mare had 3 balloons for her cutie mark, Solar was about to say hello when he was cut off by the pink mare “Hey are you new here? Because I have never seen you before, and if I have never seen you before that means that's one less friend I haven't made and having friends is great wouldn't you agree?” the pink mare said in a excited voice.
Solar, leaning back slightly then said “Hey?” in a questioning voice “I would have to agree, I guess?” saying in a awkward voice.
“If you're new, that means you don't know anypony and if you don't anypony here which means you don't have any friends here” she said in a shocked voice “Hey you should come to my party at Sugarcube corner in a couple of hours, it will be a great chance for you meet my friends and many other ponies” she said in a happy and excited tone of voice.
Solar leaned forwarded with a slightly puzzled look on his face “Wait, will a blue pegasus be there called Rainbow Dash?” he said questioning the pink mare.
The pink mare took a deep gasp “You know Dashie?!” she said in a surprised tone “This is so perfect, I bet you will like the others they are my bestest friends in the whole world, nothing can come between us, except that time where I thought they didn't like my parties, or when we became the opposite of our selves” she said then looking up at the sky with thoughtful look on her face with a hoof on her chin.
“So... you know Rainbow is the gist of what you just said?” he said curiously waiting for a long response.
The pink mare looked back at Solar “Of course I do!” she replayed happily “I'm 1 of her best gal pals Pinkie Pie” adding on to her last statement cheerfully.
Solar was surprised to see that she didn't talk for about half a hour “So I take it your name is Pinkie Pie correct?” he asked curiously.
“Yep that's me, the best party pony in PonyVille if not Equestria, I host the best parties you will ever see” replying giddily to Solar's question.
Solar smiled “Nice to meet you Pinkie, I'm Solar Blitz, but just call me Solar everyone does” he said happily to Pinkie.
“So are you coming to the party at 7 right?” She asked curiously.
“Of course I am, why wouldn't I go to a party with my 2 new friends” he replayed cheerfully giving Pinkie Pie a big smile.
A huge grin appeared on Pinkie's face “Yay, I hope to see you there, I have get off now to get the party ready for everypony, see you at the party I hope” she said trotting away from Solar while waving a hoof.
Solar waved a hoof back at Pinkie as she trotted away and shouted “Yeah, I will be there, bye or now” Solar said to himself when he couldn't see Pinkie any more “You're doing good Solar, already got another friend on the same day and she's friends with Rainbow, I should get along with their other friends just fine” he smiled to himself at the thought being friends with those ponies whoever they were.
Solar's stomach rumbled “Oh right, all that time talking to Pinkie made me forget about how hungry I am” he thought to himself “Well better get something to eat, I wonder how good the food is here?” he wondered to himself. He then went out locking the door to the house behind him and trotted down the gravel path to the gate, he opened the gate closed it behind him and began to walk in to town.
Solar trotted back to the centre of Ponyville looking around at his new home, the place was fairly lively with ponies of different colours. He took the time to note in his mind where everything was since it would be important for daily life, he found out where the market stalls were, Sugarcube Corner and several other places. But after all that Solar was really hungry, judging by the sun he guessed it would be around 5:30 which left a bit of time before the party.
On the way to the café for food, he saw somepony looking at him, as if noting every little detail about him to the mark, Solar turned his gaze towards the pony, he was brown coated earth pony with black mane and tail, he had green eyes similar to Solar's. Solar started to trot towards the suspicious stallion but when Solar got in about fifty metres the stallion began to gallop off down the path, Solar began to start galloping as well to keep up with the stallion.
Solar thought to himself “Why is this guy galloping away?” still galloping to catch up with the pony.
Nopony was around to see the two ponies galloping around. Solar then started to flap his wings to give him some extra speed and almost caught the Stallion, but the Stallion took a left and Solar flew past the left turn and had to turn around and turned the corner rather fast, he then hit something or somepony and took a blow to the head, he was knocked out cold.
Solar awoke on a bed in a room, these was a window to the right of the bed and a door far to left, the room had a large book shelve full of book arranged alphabetically from A-Z.
Solar thought to himself “Looks like somepony likes their books”
The door to the left of Solar opened and a purple unicorn came though the door.
“Oh, your awake” the unicorn said a pleasantly surprised voice.
Solar gave a little nob and took a moment to look at the pony what was now trotting towards him, he could see that the mares mane was rather straight coloured in a dark purple with two different coloured stripes to the side of her horn, one was a pink like colour and the other was purple, lighter in colour then most of her mane but not too light.
The mare stood at the edge of bed now “I'm Twilight Sparkle, you must be new here, what's your name?” she asked curiously.
Solar shook his head a little to regain focus of what was going on around him “Oh sorry dazed off a little” he said nervously “I'm Solar Blitz and I just moved here today” regaining confidence slowly.
Twilight smiled a little “Well Solar Blitz...” see said cheerfully.
“Please, call me Solar, everypony else does” he said interrupting Twilight “Sorry, continue”
“Well Solar, you seem to be fine after you ran in to the books I was carrying” Twilight said with a little worry in her voice “You are okay, right?”
Solar got out of the bed “Yeah, I think I am” he replied “So I ran in to your books?” he said questioning the situation.
Twilight pointed to the bottom of the book selves with her right hoof “Yes, they are quite big books which I ordered for my studies” she said with a slight smile “You were out cold so I carried you back here”.
Solar looked back at Twilight “You really like your books I see”
Twilight smiled at the comment “Yeah, just a little” then stated to giggle a little.
Solar then remembered the black haired pony “Oh, I just remembered!” Solar said with a gasp.
Twilight responded to the sudden outburst with “W-what is it?” she asked curiously.
“Before I ran in to you did you see a brown pony with a black mane gallop by you?” he asked with hoping for the response he wanted.
Twilight shook her head “Sorry no, I did see a pony run past me before you hit ran in to my books, but the pony had a blue mane and had purple coat like mine I think...” she said looking a little disappointed “Sorry that I can't help you” she said looking at the floor.
A small frown appeared on Solar's face “I see and don't be sorry, it doesn't matter anyway” he said trying to cheer her up now.
Twilight looked back up at Solar giving a little smile “Well anyway, you better be off I am off to a party with my friends” she said in a now cheerful manner.
Solars eyes widened slightly “Is this party at Sugarcube Corner?” he asked.
“Yes it is, how did you know?” Twilight replied
“I am going to the exact same party, since I am new.” he said with a little glee in his voice.
Twilight was a little surprised but smiled at Solar “Well tell you what, since it is almost time for the party, 6:30 specifically , why don't we trot to together and meet up with the others? You can tell me about yourself and I can do the same” she said with her cheeks blushing a little.
“Sure, I guess we could, although I have got to meet Pinkie and Rainbow there” he said.
Twilights jaw dropped a little saying with disbelief “You know Pinkie and Rainbow?”
Solar looked at Twilight “You know them too?”
“Yes I do, they are two of my best friends” saying with a happy tone.
Solar smiled and laughed a little “Hehe, looks like you made a new one as well.”
Twilight blushed a little “Yeah...” scratching the back of her head with her hoof “well shall be heading off?”
Solar nodded “Yeah, don't want to keep them waiting do we?”
Twilight lead Solar out of the bedroom, down the stairs and in to the library, Solar looked around at the various books like The History of Equestria, Advanced Magic, What are Changlings? and hundreds of different books.
“Well you first” Twilight said
Solar looked to Twilight “Ah, thank you” he said to her as he trotted though the door.
Twilight followed behind him looking the door to the library which Solar could now see was a hollowed out tree.
“The library is inside a tree, that's new” he said laughing to himself.
After locking the door Twilight turned to face Solar “So you're new around here I take it?” she asked curiously.
“Yeah, I just move here, from Manehatten, as I am new here I thought this would be a good way to meet someponies” he said now trotting to Sugarcube Corner with twilight.
“I am actually not from round here either, I am from Canterlot and was sent here because Princess Celestia sent me here” she replied trying to make talk.
Solar Blitz had a curious look on his face “So are you like her pupil or something?”
Twilight looked over to Solar “Yes in fact, she teaches me on how to use my magic and I am currently studying the magic of friendship”
“Huh, well I guess you...” Solar was cut off by his own stomach rumbling “Hmm, sorry, I haven't eaten all day” he said nervously.
“Really? And you didn't notice till now?” she was saying with a face which reads 'Wow really?'.
He nervously smiled at Twilight “Yeah, that is why I was out earlier, but I kinda was out cold you know?”
Twilight rolled her eyes “Well, I guess you could get something at the party” she said sighing, she continued “but you would probably get s...” she was cut off by a mare approaching them.
“Hello, sorry to cut in but are you Solar Blitz?” the mare said pointing her right hoof to Solar.
Solar looked to the mare and saw that she had a purple coat darker then Twilight's, she had leaf green eyes, her mane was rather fluffy and was in 2 colours of a light pink and a dark pink.
Solar replied to the mares question “Yes, how do you know that?” he questioned the mare.
“I thought you might be, just like in your profile” she said “I'm Cheerliee, we haven't met in person before and I saw you so I thought why not introduce myself before you start”
Solar was a little jumped by this “Wow, didn't expect to run in to you...”
Twilight interrupted them “Sorry to interrupt but how do you know each other?” she asked curiously.
Cheerliee turned her head to Twilight “You see Solar applied for a job at the school house for a maths teacher, he sent his profile and I okayed him for work” she said “You know things can get a little bad down there and I do sometimes need a little break” she added.
“Well anyway, it's nice to meet you Cherliee, why are you out here anyway?” Solar asked.
Cherliee turned to Solar and pointed behind her with her right hoof “I'm on a date with Big Mac over there, he is taking me out for dinner”
Solar looked behind her to see a big red stallion with a orange mane and tail standing in the distance scratching the back of his head a little nervous.
“I thought you 2 were just friends?” Twilight said curiously.
“Oh, well, you see he offered and I thought I might as well take up his offer” she said with her cheeks turning rose red.
Solar then said to the two “Well we all better head off to where ever we have to go.”
Cherliee and Twilight nodded.
“Well it is was nice meeting you in person Cherliee, have nice time with Big Mac” he said cheerfully.
“Same to you too Solar Blitz and...” she was cut off.
“Please call me Solar, everpony does” he said “Sorry continue”
Cherliee with a little bit of a annoyed sigh and continued “As I was saying, same to you Solar and have a nice night.”
Cherliee trotted back to Big Mac and the two trotted in to the night.
Twilight then said to Solar “Well, that was unexpected but nice, wouldn't you say?”
“Yes, who would have thought it?” he replied.
Twilight smiled “Now about your hunger problems” her smile turning to a little annoyed frown/
Solar was about to say something when he realised he wasn't hungry any more “Actually I'm not hungry anymore” he said in a surprised voice.
“How is that?” Twilight asked her self “I mean unless you ate something while we weren't looking you should still be hungry” she said contemplating to herself.
Solar Blitz trotted past her tapping her on the back and said to her “I don't know either, come on we don't want to be late now do we?” he said with a little smirk.
“Oh right” she said doing a little dash to catch up with Solar “Hopefully the others are there” she said to Solar.
Solar nodded “Me too” he replied as they trotted down the road to Sugarcube Corner.
Solar and Twilight trotted down the road to Sugarcube Corner, they could both hear music as they got closer to the party with various beats playing over each.
“Is there a DJ at the party or something?” Solar asked Twilight.
“Yes, it's the resident DJ Vinyl Scratch” Twilight answered.
“Well she is pretty good at it, or as far as I can tell at least”
Twilight nodded in agreement with Solar, the two continued to trot towards the party and soon Sugarcube Corner was in view, as the approached closer to Sugarcube Corner they were cut off by a pegasus landing in front of them with a very familiar rainbow mane and tail.
The pegasus turned around “Hey Twilight how have you been today? I haven't seen you all day.” she said not recognizing Solar instantly.
“I have been fine Rainbow” Twilight replied
“That's good Twilight, I see you got your self a da...” Rainbow Dash was cut off when she realized who Twilight was with.
“Um, hi?” Solar said nervously.
Rainbow Dash made a grin “Oh Solar, you got a date with Twilight have you?” Rainbow said teasingly.
Solar's checks went a very clear red and stood up straight “N-n-no! It's not like that at all!” he said with panic.
Rainbow Dash burst out in laughter with tears of joy coming from her eyes, she fell on the ground from her laughter “You should have seen the look on your face, priceless!”
Solar made a nervous grin towards Twilight.
“Rainbow you can get up now” Twilight said.
Rainbow Dash got up off the ground wiping a tear of her left eye with her right hoof “I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist” she said with a slight laughter in her voice still “So anyway, how did you too meet?”
Well you see, I actually ran in to some of Twilight heavy books that she had just got” he said to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight “Is that right?” she asked.
Twilight nodded “Yes, Solar was knocked out after that so I took him to the library for him to rest”
“Huh, you have had a pretty interesting first day in Ponyville haven't you?” she said to Solar.
“Yes I have, also Rainbow I met another one of your friends, her name was Pinkie I think.” Solar said to Rainbow.
Rainbow had a surprised look on her face “Wow, you have met three of us in one day, we should meet the rest at the party” he said to Solar and Twilight “Shall we get going?”
Both of them nodded, Rainbow Dash started to fly a little off ground and flow at trotting speed so Solar and Twilight didn't have to keep up with her. The three of them stayed rather silent until they got to the front entrance, standing there waiting for them was Pinkie and when she saw the three she hopped over to them.
“Hey you three glad you could make it, and I see you have met Twilight, Solar. Pinkie said to the three when she got to them.
“Yeah well it was more of a run in” Solar replied scratching the back of his head with his right hoof.
Rainbow Dash then jumped in to the conversation “Yeah it was, apparently he ran in to Twilight's new books and was knocked out cold”
“Yeah that happened, after that I brought him back to the library” Twilight added.
Pinkie giggled “Well what a first day huh?”
“Well it's certainly different from Manehatten” Solar said with a slight laughter in his voice.
Twilight looked over to Solar“Wasn't as bad on my first day here I'll say that” Twilight said.
Solar looked over to Twilight “Really? What happened on your first day?”
“It's a long story, so I won't bother” Twilight said.
“Aww, come on Twilight it was a awesome day with thrills and adventure!” Rainbow Dash announced cheerfully.
“Yeah, it was super duper!” Pinkie added.
“Fine you've persuaded me, but I will try and shorten it down” Twilight said.
For the next ten minutes Twilight told Solar of her first day meeting five special ponies, the return of Nightmare Moon, the journey though the Everfree forest overcoming each challenge, the Elements of Harmony and restoring Princess Luna.
“Wow, that is quite a first day I have to say” Solar said with a impressed tone “I didn't know it was you 6 who stopped Nightmare Moon and restored Princess Luna”
“Yeah, we don't like to talk about it much, well maybe Rainbow does” Twilight said looking down to her left scratching the back of her neck.
“Hey!” Rainbow Dash said in a annoyed voice.
“Yep, we did all that” Pinkie said.
“Who are the 3 others I haven't met yet?” Solar asked.
Twilight looked up to Solar “Oh, well they should be at the party soon”
“Um, about that” Pinkie said “Well you see they couldn't make it, they have some business to attend to you see” her tone sounding sad.
“Oh... well that's disappointing” solar said.
Rainbow Dash flew in front of the other three “Hey, that doesn't mean we can't have fun!” Rainbow Dash announced to them.
Pinkie's face went from sad to happy “Yeah we should enjoy our selves still enjoy ourselves”
“Let's” Twilight said trotting ahead of Solar “You coming too?” she asked Solar.
“Yeah, sorry” Solar said catching up.
They four of them trotted in to SugarCube Corner, the place was lit up with bright colours with a white pony with neon blue hair for the DJ, the tables had cupcakes and various other sweets on them in several different colours ranging from pink to blue, the same can be said for the confetti that littered the floor and the other decorations around the place.
“Well this is a nice set up you have here Pinkie” Solar said.
Pinkie looked over to Solar“Thanks, I'm glad you like, I like it too and I thought a lot of the ponies in PonyVille would too, then again all the ponies like all the things I do...”
Solar still looking at pinkie whispered to Twilight and Rainbow Dash “Does she do this often? The whole talking thing?”
Rainbow Dash and Twilight nodded once in sync and replied “Yes” in slightly agitated voice.
Pinkie now realising Solar was not paying attention “Hey is something wrong?”
“No, I was just saying that we should have a good time here” a single sweat drop fell down Solar's forehead as he said that.
“Yeah let's have a good time!” Pinkie shouted “Who wants to play pin the tail on the pony?” she asked.
Solar wiped off the sweat from his forehead “Why not, I will” Solar replied with a smile”
And the four played games and danced, they had sat down at a table and started talking about each other, Solar got to learn things about the other three, their likes and dislikes, past and what they have done, and the other learned the same things about Solar.
“So you were abandoned as a colt?” Twilight asked.
Solar nodded “Yes, I never knew my mother or father, the only thing I have is a note left with me when I was took in”
“That must be awful not knowing your mother or father...” Rainbow Dash said.
Solar looked over to her “It's not so bad, mostly because I have lived with it for my life, but I can understand how the thought must be sad for you three” Solar said putting on a smile for them. “So you were the ponies how took down Nightmare Moon, Discord and most recently the Changlings?” he asked the three.
Pinkie looked at Solar “Yep, that's us!”
“We are the Elements of Harmony, we don't really like to brag about it, well I don't” Twilight said “Rainbow here does” Twilight said giggling.
“Hey!” Rainbow Dash shouted in a annoyed tone.
Solar quickly jumped in “Well, I heard that those things had happened, but I never thought I would meet and be friends with the ponies who did all those things”
The other three smiled at Solar's comment, all four spent the rest of the time while they are there playing more games and just having a good time, Twilight doing a awkward looking dance, Pinkie played a lot of pin the tail on the pony and Rainbow Dash just did her thing.
Solar noticed that the time was getting late for him “Sorry you three, I think I better get off home, need my energy for tomorrow” he said to the other three who were eating a few snacks.
“Aw, can't you stay a little longer?” Pinkie asked with a frown appearing on her face.
Solar looked at Pinkie “Sorry, I just need to get supplies for my new house” Solar replied with a slightly worried tone.
“Well it was nice hanging out with you Solar” Rainbow Dash said “Hope we can do it again” she said with a smile.
“Me too” Solar said “And I will see you soon Twilight”
Twilight smiled “I will, look after yourself” she said with a happy tone.
“Enjoy the rest of the party” Solar said waving a hoof as he trotted out of the party doors.
Solar kept looking up at the night sky as he trotted home, the night sky always interested him, anypony can tell that from his Cutie Mark, Solar looked back at his wings with a concerned look on his face, after a few moments he had a determined look on his face and looked straight forward, he then, with a big flap of his wings, took off the ground and high in to the air, he flew around the dark sky making loops, being rather elegant and flashy, he felt so free and like nothing could stop him, he then, after about 5 minutes flew back down to the earth and landed on his hooves with a smile appearing on his face.
“I have to say, that was quite the performance” a mysterious voice said coming from behind Solar.
Solar quickly turned “Who's there?!” Solar quickly said turning around.
“Over here” out stepped from the shadow of house a brown coated stallion with a black mane and tail.
“Your that pony from earlier, why did you gallop away from me?” Solar asked with curiosity.
A smug grin appeared on the pony's face “I have my reasons, what reason do you have to chase me?”
Solar backed down from saying anything.
“Exactly, now what is your name?” the brown stallion asked.
Solar told him his name with get resistance “Solar Blitz...and yours?”
The stallion looked away from Solar, as if thinking for a moment “Just call me Chris”
The stallion then just trotted away in to the night.
“Just who was that pony?” Solar asked him self as the Stallion trotted off, Solar then trotted off back in the direction of his home.
