Note: this part of the story has been cancelled. After some thought, I decided to replot, rewrite, and condense this little story. Both Paved With Good Intentions and Along the Road to Chaos will be out of date as soon as I finish the rewrite. From now on, all chapters will be on A Touch of Chaos, so head back there for the continuing story.

Changelings. A dark race of monsters, feeding off the love of other creatures. The true history of these parasites lies shrouded in mystery, but one thing is known for sure. These creatures are walking embodiments of evil.

Or are they?

In a battle of survival, words like "good" and "evil" have no meaning. The winners are those who survive. The losers are those who don't.

That's all there is to it.

The best of intentions can have the worst of outcomes.
