When Discord ruled the lands, an ancient darkness came forward to the realm in which not even Discord could control. When the Princesses took power, these beasts fell back deep into the Everfree and where believed to have totally left. Now, they have returned. Can Twilight Sparkle and the Elements of Harmony stand against a race that plays with their minds and continues to draw them deeper into their web?

Some of the characters in the story are linked to some of my other stories. This was also written for the World-Building groups January competition of creating an origin story of a race.
