The zebra have many myths about the stars. Most are tales warning that seeking their aid would only lead to destruction. So widespread was this belief, the zebra went to war with the ponies of Equestria, believing that Princess Luna had been influenced in such a way.

Two hundred years later, many zebra still believe in the myth, even though ponies and even some of their kin do not. However, as is the case with most myths, there is a grain of truth.

Two years after the end of the Human-Covenant War, humanity is still exploring the Galaxy. On a newly discovered world along the border of human and Sangheili space, humanity has found another intelligent species amongst the blasted ruins of a once great civilization. In an effort to learn whatever they could, the UNSC dispatched a survey team to investigate this new species.

Unfortunately, less than a week after arriving planetside, the survey team went dark. The UNSC decides to send in a squad of ODSTs to investigate. Their mission: Find out what happened to the survey team and, should the survey team turn up dead, explore this strange new world.
