Life And Death
Dear Princess Celestia
Previous ChapterDear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that no matter what, your friends will always be there for you. Even if it could mean losing their lives, a true friend will be there to help you.
My good friend Rarity taught me that lesson in friendship today. We were attacked by a Manticore and I fell when we were running, but she jumped in front of me at the last moment and took the blow for me. I asked her why she didn't run and she told me that I was her friend and that a good friend would always be there to catch me when I fall.
Even though I'll be bed ridden for the next week because of a sprained ankle, I'm grateful to her. She sacrificed her safety for me and that's something that a good friend does. It takes a truly evil soul to let somepony else die to keep themselves safe. That's what Rarity taught me.
Your faithful subject,
Spike
Spike rolled up the scroll and tied with a red ribbon. He blew a stream of magical green fire onto it and it flew into the air in the blaze, flying towards Canterlot and Princess Celestia. The little dragon looked at the bandages on his leg and smiled. He'd been shown the true meaning of friendship today.
And he was forever grateful.
