Chapters Oh,The Laughter Which We Share
"Every dream is the same. The concept behind it,anyway. What do they mean? Are they trying to take over me? Are they trying to control me? Hurt me? .... Or help me?" Discord's voice whirled in his mind,as the visions he saw in his sleep dreaded him waking up. Suddenly,he heard a faint noise. "Dis-" .... "Discord.." .... He instantly awoke,drenched in cold sweat. Fluttershy gasped,"Sorry,Discord...But you were laughing in your sleep." He looked at Fluttershy,and sighed with relief. "What are you doing sleeping out here,anyway?" She asked worriedly,"You know you're always welcome to sleep at my house." Discord looked at Fluttershy,and said,"Well,I was just taking a stroll last night,and I guess I was too tuckered out to go back to Ponyville." ... Fluttershy looked at him suspiciously. "Well,okay. Just be more careful next time..okay? I wouldn't want you getting hurt,or lost,friend." She gave him a comforting smile. Discord smiled back,feeling secure. Fluttershy galloped off back to Ponyville,Discord at her side. Discord knew the things he's been picturing in his sleep,he couldn't tell Fluttershy,his only friend. He'd lose her if he did. There was only one pony he could tell. A pony whom shares the same evil desires he does... Nightmare Moon. He waited all day,till nightfall,to return to the Everfree Forest,to see if he caught any sign of her.
Sooner or later,at about midnight,Discord felt drowsy,and dazed...But suddenly saw her in the sky.. "Psst!!" He screeched. She flew right down beside him as she noticed his whispering call. "Yes,Discord?" She grinned smugly.
Discord gave her a serious look,"I need to talk to you about something. It's been going on recently." ... "Oh? What is it?" ... "I've been having these...dreams...these..nightmares." ... "Really?...Are they like the evil plots in your head?" she asked. "Well,yes..." He replied quietly,"Just..take a look." ... Nightmare moon casted a spell,in which she can access his recent dreams.
She looked deep within his mind. She saw many things... Ponies with severed limbs,stitches,empty eye sockets..and some looked quite starved. There were decapitation chambers,drills,and saw machines that were used to torture ponies. To top it all off,laughing maniacally,sitting on a throne above them all,was Discord,wearing a crown,dripping with the ponies' blood.
She tried looking deeper... Then she saw the icing on the cake. Twilight Sparkle,and all of her friends,dead. Bodies being burned to fuel the very soul that is this monster...Discord. The dreams started fading... Just about as fast as her smile appeared. "These nightmares,Discord...Are the very inspiration we need." She whispered in a fierce tone. He looked at her,without his heart thinking twice,and smiled.

"We share something. Wanting the extinction of Equestria. Also,the freedom from Celestia. We both strive for those things. So,we must do it together." Discord's thoughts piled up. For the next few nights,Discord met up with Nightmare Moon,sharing laughs of their devious plans,and how they were going to do things. But,one night,they went into action. It all started with Discord's little friend,Fluttershy. She was an easy case to crack. "Fluttershy...Can we maybe...bake some cookies?.." Discord asked with the innocent tone of a child. "Well,sure,friend!" She smiled with a generous squee. As she turned her back,and headed into the kitchen,Angel started to follow. Discord quickly clutched Angel by the throat before he could catch up to his beloved owner. "Aw...What's that,Angel?" Discord whispered,"You have something to say?" He squeezed Angel's throat until it snapped,his head leaning to one side,the tiny release of his last breath. "Just as I thought," Discord quietly chuckled. "Discord!...Are you going to help me?" Fluttershy called from the kitchen. "Oh...Yes,ma'am!" He grinned devilishly, and threw Angel behind the couch with the tiniest sound of a thump. Just before he headed into the kitchen,Discord made thread,and a thread needle appear,and carried it behind himself with his lion paw. As he walked up to Fluttershy,she was mixing ingredients in a bowl,not noticing Discord right behind her. Thread & needle in hand,he thrashed at her,tearing her skin,puncturing her arms,and tied the other end of the thread to a stick. She bled from each of those puncture wounds,but the worst was yet to pass. She started crying,and pleading for him to stop,but as she did,he stitched her mouth shut with the thread. She cried heavier,her eyes turning as red as the blood flowing out of the holes in her arms and lips. "You're my puppet,now." Discord chuckled,"And you'll do exactly as I say." Discord forced her to do many things that night that ended with her friends being killed. After the last one of her five friends were killed,he decided to end her life as well. He tightened each of the strings of thread on her 'till she bled excessively. "I'm sorry,friend. It's nothing personal." He smirked as her eyes slowly closed,and her breathing stopped. No more than a tiny tear left his eye. He wiped it away,and knew what had to be done. He conjured up his saw machines,blades,and bone-crushing chambers. He gathered up many ponies,and put them through the saw contraption. There were many screams,full of fear,and horrified gasps. It didn't stop him,though. Celestia wouldn't know. Her little student and her friends are gone now. There's no way she'd get word of this in time. His grin grew bigger,and sharper. His eyes grew wilder. Nightmare Moon joined him in a heartful maniacal laugh. "This would have never been possible without you." He smiled evilly towards her. "As to you,Discord," She smiled back.

It was a dull night. Everyone asleep,not a squeak to be heard. Nor a whisper.
Discord,former master of all that is evil,lurks the Everfree Forest,staring up,watching the stars. He stares at the glistening shine they reflect,into his eyes. Fluttershy sure had changed his actions,although bouncing in his head,were the thoughts of destruction. Taking all that is Equestria,and changing it into his own personal lap of luxury,full of enslaved ponies.
He closed his eyes,and took a deep breath. Just as he opened his eyes,Nightmare Moon stood before him. "Ah,Discord," She started,"Having thoughts of chaos,I see?" She smirked. Discord rubbed his eyes,and took a step backward. "Nightmare Moon?..." He murmured,"Why are you here?" He asked.
"Oh,I happened to have been soaring by," Spoke the princess,"And I saw you deep in thought,so to speak. So,I decided to check it out." Discord looked at her puzzled. "But...we've never met before," He quietly said. "I know,It's just...You're the king of all that is bad." She smiled fiercely. "Surely,I couldn't miss a chance to talk to you."
Discord stared at the floor,"Yes...I USED to be that person.." .... "Sadly,a certain pony changed my ways." Nightmare Moon raised a brow,and looked Discord in the eyes. "Yet,you're still planning to do your evil deeds?" ...
Discord glanced at her,"I'm not that being anymore." Nightmare Moon turned back saying,"Sure,you aren't," before flying away leaving Discord alone in the forest as he was before.
"I'm...not....." Discord mumbled. He wandered around the Everfree Forest before finally deciding to rest. He slept on the cold,damp ground,staring at the stars as his eyes closed and he drifted off into sleep.

There was plenty of killing going on. Suffering. Screams. Discord never felt so..complete. He had everypony in the palm of his hand. Like,there was nothing that could foil his plans. Nightmare Moon stared up at Discord,proudly. She gazed at him,with the kind of feeling inside that made her feel complete. Discord had no such intentions with her,though. Power was all he desired. All he cared for. They stayed up and alert all night,till every last pony was killed. The only one left throughout all of Equestria...was Celestia. And she was ready to defend herself. She casted many spells,many attempts in attack...One certain spell in order to kill Discord and Nightmare Moon,that would kill her too. But,she'd do anything to stop them,and their reign of chaos. She tried it,but alas,Discord quickly flew out of the way,and it hit Nightmare Moon only. She fell to the ground..heavily bruised and looked broken. Celestia,the same. Discord quickly flew straight toward Nightmare Moon. "Are you okay?.." He asked quite concerned. She lay,motionless on the floor,with only a few gasps of air left. "I'm..not..." She successfully muttered in pain. Discord put his paw on her hoof. "There has to be something I can do...It was supposed to be me and you against the world,remember?.." He mumbled. "There's nothing to do...I can't-" She couldn't finish her sentence. She was too weak. Discord started tearing up. "You were...my only friend I could truly relate to." He said under the lump in his throat. "You were..my best friend." ...."and I-" Nightmare Moon finally passed. Her eyes closed,and her faint breathing stopped.
