//-------------------------------------------------------// Doctor Whooves Part One -by EquestrianWriter- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Stranger //-------------------------------------------------------// The Stranger It was a rather peaceful day, clouds hung in the sky, birds chirped happily and the sun was out and blazing. It was a peaceful planet, somewhere to be cherished and loved. No wars had happened in thousands of years and many different species held homes here. The peace was disrupted when a small, teenie-tiny rift opened up on the sky and a small void stuff covered blue police box flow through it, the object crashed through the sky and despite the strange momentum the box had, it landed almost perfectly, on its side. The peace soon returned and the birds began to sing again, the clouds continued to sit completely still and everything was in harmony. The door to the magical blue box opened in sideways and a male brown Earth pony climbed out, he trotted around for a few seconds in silence. He aced around staring at the grass, the clouds, the trees, everything, taking it all in. "This isn't right. I was head for Oxon Four and a black hole appeared, I should be dead, or at the very least, on some planet in a parallel universe regenerating. Here, her I have no idea where I am. The air is too clean, the sky is too, blue. Everything here is wrong. Where am I?" He said to himself. "Right, first things first-" The pony breathed in, deep. "Right, the air is perfect oxygen, its perfect, nothing has seemed to disrupt this universe, something is wrong. But I need to get you up the right way old girl." The pony said, presumably referring to the blue box, he walked forward and fell over, he seemed confused. The pony stood up and looked at his body, long and hard, the suit he wore, the brown fur, sand clock cutie mark, he looked at himself in complete disbelief. "I am a horse!" The pony shouted. "A brown talking horse!" He cried out. "What is going on?" He asked nopony, just himself. He shock the thought away and continued, trotting more carefully now, he jumped back into the box and closed the door. After a few moments the box vanished with a strange noise, it then reapeared standing up the right way. The doors opened again and the brown pony walked out. "Okay, strange, perfect planet,  I have somehow changed species completely into a horse and have no knowledge of what is going on." He muttered, then smiled. "That'll be a first!" He laughed. "Right, first off, I need to find some other people, maybe not horses, but people, anything that I can talk to." The pony said and began to trot away in a random direction. The pony looked around his surroundings for anything that could show civilization. Nothing so far, but he would keep looking. The sun was making the day hot and the thin cloud layer wasn't helping. The pony wondered for some time in the heat and finally saw a small, dirt pathway with a sign on a pole on the road. The pony trotted toward it, staring at the sign to read it. On on side it said Appaloosa west, twenty miles, and Ponyville east, quarter mile. The pony read the sign over and over, constantly blinking to refresh his vision. But no, it said Ponyville. The pony stared at it for a while then burst out laughing. "Ponyville?" He said, laughing himself, he was drunk with laughter already. "What, what sort of name is that?" He giggled. He laughed for some time and finally gathered himself enough to speak again. "Okay, Ponyville.-" The pony suppressed a laugh. "-Better head there since its closer." He muttered and began to walk down the pathway. Soon a forest of trees began to form either side of the road and the pony stopped to inspect one. He tapped on the oak with his hoof, nodded to himself then sniffed it, nodded again and then reached his head closer, and licked the tree. He spat out the taste in disgust. "Real oak, not artificial, man made, or horse made, perfect structure, look, sound, this place seems a lot like a perfection world rather than one with civilization, nothing has been altered, nothing." The brown pony said to himself, getting more confused and bewildered by the second. He shock his head and tapped on the tree again, perfect pitch, sound, tone, everything. He nodded and began to trot onwards again. The forest got more dense and the trees grew larger, the sun's rays were finally cut off and the air began to get cooler. The pony smiled. "That's better." The pony said, enjoying the cool air. He smiled and almost forgot about what was going on, almost. The walk was now into its twentieth minute and the pony was bored. "This is taking forever, so not a quarter mile, lying sign." The pony grunted but continued on. He was beginning to become thirsty and tired. He grumbled in annoyance and kept going. "Should have taken the TARDIS as soon as I read the sign, just keep popping eastwards until I reached this-" He paused sniggering. "-Ponyville." He said with a straight face. The pony wondered forward again after stopping himself from laughing, he trotted upwards and onwards, toward a small hill, once the stallion had climbed it he looked onto a small town or village, full of bright buildings and a colourful landscape, high hills and stone mountains could be seen surrounding the otherwise flatland settlement. "Ponyville, I am here." He said. The pony's voice was calm and caring, the sound of a caring monk or a father. He was a character of love and tolerance, but also of hatred and war. The pony had gone through countless things that would turn an ordinary man crazy, he had stared into the Void and stayed determined and held his ground. He had lived through the Time War and stolen his girl, the TARDIS and fled, seeing the universe and seeing everything. He was a man of many names, a warrior and destroyer, and also a knight and saviour. He was an enemy of many and the saviour of countless. He was just a simple man trying to save everyone, he was the Predator, he was The Doctor. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pegasus //-------------------------------------------------------// Pegasus The Doctor walked into the pony filled village in utter confusion and amazement. It was the first time, in a long time, maybe in all the Doctor's nine hundred odd years that he actually felt shocked and confused, he wasn't meant to be a pony. It was unnatural to be a colourful talking pony. "Or is it?" The Doctor asked himself. "There seem to be ponies all over the place and from the sight of it, aren't out of place like myself. Or maybe they are, I should talk to some one. Or something." He added, then began to walk through the town looking for an intelligent looking pony, he saw one eventually, a brown pony with pinkish hair and a strange monocle, he had a weird tattoo that looked like a rubber duck or some odd creature. The Doctor walked up to the figure. "Excuse me kind sir, I am a traveller John Smith is the name, I am a bit lost, could you happen to tell me where I am?"  The Doctor asked. "I certainly can, might I add you have a strange name Mr Smith. But I am sure you have your reasons, you are in the town of Ponyville. Welcome traveller!" The pony replied, he had an accent sounding almost Irish. But more American. The Doctor nodded his thanks and walked away from the pony. The Doctor smiled and nodded. The pony then walked away and looked around the area which seemed to be some sort of a market place. "Right, need a temporary assistant so I can figure out what is going on and how to stop it. This universe isn't my own but i am here now so better make the most of it I guess." The Doctor muttered to himself, suddenly a grey coloured pony appeared from the sky above The Doctor, it appeared to have long eye lashes so The Doctor presumed it to be female and the pony had feathers coming out of its body forming wings, as well as the bright blonde hair she had for tail and mane. "Hey mister, are you talking to yourself?" The winged pony, or 'Pegasus' asked. "Er, yes. I guess I am." The Doctor replied. Smiling awkwardly. The now made pony also noticed the females eyes were, were a bit odd. They weren't looking in the same direction as each other and the left eye was wondering its gaze randomly. "That's weird. My name is Ditzy or Derpy Hooves. Who are you?" The female introduced herself. The Doctor nodded in approval and smiled. "I am The Doctor." He replied proudly. "Doctor who?" Derpy asked, The Doctor gave a short laugh and jumped slightly. "Just that, the Doctor." He said. Still smiling. Derpy just nodded and smiled back. "Okay, so your a doctor? Does that mean you help ponies?" Derpy asked. "Well not in the way you would think. But I do help people." The Doctor replied. "People?" Derpy asked, confused over the term. "Ah yes. I am not from around here.-" The Doctor stopped himself, unsure whether to tell this, Pegasus pony his story. Then decided it was probably best, maybe she might even be his companion. "-I am not even from this universe actually." The Doctor paused then waiting for the grey female to replied, her face went 'derpy' as she thought on that matter. "What do you mean?" She asked. "I am actually meant to look humanoid, not equine. This isn't my usually home, my space ship malfunctioned and I must have crashed through the Void and ended up here." The Doctor explained. Another silence and weird thinking face. "You have a space ship?" Derpy asked. "Does that mean you are an alien?" She added, apparently that was all she had taken from his explanation so he nodded slowly, just agreeing. "Oh sweet Celestia! Can I see?" Derpy asked.  The Doctor laughed and smiled, then winked and began to walk back toward the TARDIS. Derpy followed. "So tell me Doctor. Have you ever treated another alien with you doctor powers or is it just ponies you will treat?" Derpy asked. "I told you, I am not that kind of Doctor, I come from a universe- from a world where humanoids and two legged beings rule and ponies don't talk. This isn't where I am meant to be. But until I find out who or what brought me here and why I guess I have to stay, so Mrs Hooves, how would you like to be my companion?" The Doctor replied. Derpy's face lite up. "I would love to Doctor, can we fly in your space ship to other planets?" Derpy asked, excited. Her eyes looking randomly incredibly fast. "And another thing. It doesn't only travel through space." The Doctor said smiling again. "It can travel through universes, yeah Doctor I figured that out." Derpy replied. "No that was a mistake, it can go through time as well." "Now you are a time traveler. So your what, some sort of Time Lord?" Derpy asked and The Doctor burst out laughing. "Yes Derpy, I am a Time Lord, the last of my race." He replied. "Why is that?" Derpy asked, The Doctor's face darkened. "A long, terrible war miss Hooves. A long war." He muttered, Derpy looked to The Doctor and sunk her head down, dropping her outstretched wings as well. The Doctor and Derpy then continued the walk down the dirt pathway toward where the TARDIS was lying in silence, when they did arrive the Doctor looked at the double blue doors in confusion. He hasn't got his keys on him, they were in his jacket pocket and all the pony wore was a red tie. "Oops." The Doctor muttered. "What?" Derpy asked. "I left my keys in my pocket. I can't get in without them." He said. Derpy laughed. "Well put your hoof in your pocket then and grab them." She giggled. The Doctor was now confused, he was a pony, they didn't have pockets. "But Derpy I don't have any pockets." He replied, Derpy laughed even harder, wiping a tear away before continuing. "Of course you do silly, everypony does." Derpy said, putting a hood to her right side somehow pulling a pocket of skin away showing The Doctor the pocket. It was now his turn to laugh. "Did you just say. Everypony?" He giggled and stuttered. Derpy nodded and The Doctor burst out in laughter. This continued for a while before The Doctor remembered his pocket problem and put a hoof to his side, after wobbling off balance for a second. He put his hoof down the hole and felt his keys, and sonic screwdriver. He tried to slide the keys up the pocket side, until he got them out, they fell onto the grass with a noise. He stared down at them. "Well, pick them up." Derpy said, hopeful and confused. The Doctor looked to his keys, then to Derpy, then back to the grass. "How?" He asked. "Like this silly." Derpy reached down and grabbed the keys with her hoof. The Doctor was generally bewildered. "Okay. How did you do that?" The Doctor asked. "You really aren't from around here are you?" Derpy asked, The Doctor shock his head. Derpy put the keys in her mouth then muttered something, removed the keys then said. "Lets go to your space ship then." Before putting the keys back in her mouth. "This is it Miss Hooves. The TARDIS." THe Doctor said, pointing with a hoof at the blue box. Derpy dropped the keys to the ground. "Is that it?" She asked, disappointed. "Wait til you see inside." The Doctor replied, happy as normal. "Fine, just open the door." Derpy ordered quietly and tosed the keys, The Doctor grabbed them with his mouth and unlocked the door, he stepped in. Derpy soon followed. She was obviously taken aback by the sight before her and just stared wde eyed at the giant control room of the TARDIS. She stepped outside then back inside, continuing for a few moments before breathing in a deep breathe. "Go on, say it." The Doctor said, smiling and trotting around the metal flooring. "Must take a while to paint." Derpy said and gave a cute smile. The Doctor laughed. "Always a first." He said then a computer screen began to bleep in panic. //-------------------------------------------------------// 9/11 //-------------------------------------------------------// 9/11 Now I am not American, nor did anyone I know of die in the attacks on the World Trade Centre but it always hurts me whenever this day comes around. This chapter will be on all my fictions new and old so you will be seeing it a lot, those following me anyway. I would like to thank those who saved survivors from the rubble of the twin towers that day and would like us all to remember everybody who died that day, civilians, firemen and police. Everybody who was killed and affected by the attack twelve years ago today. My thoughts go out to all those who died in the tower, planes and those killed in the aftermath of the bombings. Thank you.
