It feels like clouds

Pinkie Pie slowly lifted the joint in front of her. She gave it a nervous glance, as her heart pounded in her chest. It was rolled with the finest of weeds as Rainbow Dash claimed. She put the tip up to her mouth and tried to smoothly let it flow in. She quickly had to pull it away from her mouth as she coughed up the whirl of smoke.

“So, what’d ya taste?” Rainbow Dash had taken the joint from Pinkie. Pinkie looked up at her with tears in her eyes, still coughing with her mouth sort of closed.

“It kind of reminds me of campfire marshmallows.” She said with a grin on her face. “I don’t understand, I thought it would do something to you.” Pinkie gave Dash a skeptical look.

“Just wait a second, we gotta finish the entire thing before you really feel the effects.” Rainbow gave her a smirk, took a puff, held it, and slowly released the thick smoke. To Pinkie the smell was skunky, to Dash the smell was a lot like a flower. “I always smoke after a victory for me.” She stared at the joint and passed it back to Pinkie.

“So, it takes a while for the effects to happen? I want to experience it now! I’m not having fun, sitting here is boring!” Pinkie then tried to inhale off the joint quickly, only to cough violently to the point of almost puking.

“Whoa there Pinks, not so much. Play it cool, it’s not a race to get high, trust me I know. It’s about relaxing and chilling out. It makes you happy, just… a different kind of happy. Ya know?” Rainbow gestured to Pinkie to take another hit. Pinkie looked down at the joint and could still feel her eyes tearing up. Her stomach hurt a little bit from coughing so hard.

Pinkie lifted the joint, and took a smaller puff into her mouth. She then breathed through her nose to get the smoke in her mouth go down to her lungs. She held her breath and in a sort of joyous moment to her she exhaled the smoke. She had taken her first clean hit. She smiled as she passed it back to Rainbow. Rainbow accepted it and gave her a smile.

“So, junior flyer how was that?” Rainbow nodded towards Pinkie. Pinkie slowly looked over at Dash and something weird began to happen. Pinkie noticed how colorful Dash really looked. With her bright blue Cyan coat, and that rainbow mane, It all stuck out and was so bright to her. Pinkie smiled and her eyes began to droop.

“Rainbow, you’re so colorful.” Pinkie kept staring at Rainbow as she took her drag off the joint. She then looked over at Pinkie while handing it to her.

“I can say the same thing about you being too pink.” She gave Pinkie a quick smile and then looked up at the ceiling. Her eyes began to droop too.

Pinkie and Rainbow continued the passing ritual until there was a nub left. Rainbow smiled and gave Pinkie a look.

“Alright Pinkie, do ya wanna play a game?” Rainbow gave Pinkie an interested nod at the nub. Pinkie looked over and had the typical stoner look on her face. Her eyes were relaxed and a reddish yellow color. Even the blue seemed to be overpowered by this newly added color. She had a soft smile on her face, but not the kind Pinkie usually had. It was like Pinkie had changed. She nodded at Rainbow to let her know she was down for a game.

“Alright then, it’s called pass the kiwi. It’s a game were we try and smoke as much of this roach as possible, and then whoever burns their hooves first loses.” Pinkie nodded and let out a sluggish laugh. Rainbow then took a hit off the roach, and proceeded to look kind of stupid while doing it. She then passed it to Pinkie, who by this point the cannabis had begun to affect her motor skills. She couldn’t grip onto the roach right, and dropped it straight away. It fell through the floor of Rainbow’s house and was gone. Rainbow laughed at Pinkie.

“I win already! I am the best..” She was interrupted by Pinkie

“I, this couch… It’s so soft, it’s like being on a cloud.” Pinkie just looked up and stared at a wall. Her mind had slipped into a euphoric state, all of her senses were responding slower, yet they all felt really good. The touch of the cloud like sofa on her flank, the air was cooling her face, and the silence wasn't all that silent anymore. She was calm and even her hooves were tingling. She wanted to let that feeling surge through her body so she concentrated on it. She felt it move up her legs and start to actually tip her stomach.

Pinkie, are you high?” Rainbow said in a ditzy sort of manner.

“Uh, yea… I am, and… everything is just dandelion. Say, do you have some snacks, I could really go for some yummies right about now.” Pinkie was overcome with a sense of hunger out of nowhere. Pinkie gave Rainbow an excited look in anticipation for eating while high. She hopped on her hooves and the clouds pressed in a little under her feet. This threw Pinkie off balance and just fell on her stomach. She began to scoot her way into the kitchen as Rainbow followed behind flying slowly. Her flaps were slow like she was concentrating hard on just flapping them.

In the kitchen, Pinkie scooted up to the cabinet. She started to stand up and gave a little wobble in her legs. She was able to steady herself after a second or to, and looked at Dash as she landed next to her. She then looked on the counter and noticed a congratulations cake Rainbow had won from the flying competition. Pinkie became excited at eating something while influenced. She looked at Rainbow who was had fallen to the floor and was laying on her back staring at the ceiling again.

“Rainbow, I would really like some of this scrumptious looking cake.” She said this slowly, to make sure her words came out okay.

Rainbow without lifting her head let out a sort of sigh “yea…” she inhaled, “I wouldn't mind some of my victory cake right about now.” Rainbow lazily rolled over on her stomach and flapped her wings to help her stand up. Both ponies just stood there and looked at the cake. It was dark chocolate and had a piece missing, they could tell it was red velvet. Pinkie could barely contain her excitement about eating the delectable cake. She even twitched a little just standing there getting ready to chow down. Rainbow grabbed a knife and split it in half. Pinkie decided to get down the plates, but was having trouble getting her hooves to grip the plate. She ended up dropping one, and it fell through the floor. In the distance Pinkie heard it crash as it hit the hill top below. The crash sort of echoed in her mind. She looked up and paused with the same soft grin from earlier.

“R-rainbow, I just dropped a plate. It made a funny noise.” Pinkie giggled and then for a second didn't feel like herself. She wasn’t hyper, which was weird for her. That passed quickly as she carefully pulled another plate down. She was too concentrated on getting some cake to worry whether or not she was herself.

“Don’t drop another one, the house has magic to keep physical things in it, but the plates didn't have that spell put on them. It’s weird if you think about, like, how are we up here?” Dash was still staring at the cake. Unaware that she didn't really make sense.

“What?” Pinkie just looked at the cake and started going over ingredients in her head.

They both fell silent, content with staring at the cake with the two plates sitting next to it. Then Pinkie finally grabbed her piece and put it on the plate. She started eating it right there on the counter. It tasted so amazing to her. She had never had a cake like this. It was heavy, and had a deep flavor to just the cake alone. Then chocolate flavor rushed onto her tongue, it was such a strong, almost overbearing sensation. She just wanted to eat more. What confused her was how each bite became less and less tasteful. She began to eat, just to eat the cake. Bite by bite she ate it, and when she was finally done, she looked over to notice Rainbow had disappeared. She turned around to see Dash back on the couch.

“When did you go in there, it took like thirty minutes to eat this cake?” Pinkie began to slowly make her way back to the couch with Dash.

“No, look at the time, it’s been like five minutes.” Dash said giving a slow nod towards a clock situated on one of her shelves.

“Holy moly, you are right.” Pinkie, unaware of the presence and feeling of time, noticed that it was only one thirty one. She then slouched onto the couch and let out a sigh of relief.

They sat there for a while in silence, both ponies had the same stoner grin. Then Rainbow had let Pinkie know that she was going to bed. Pinkie was now alone just staring off into space. She began to think about how Dash could create a sonic rainboom, and the first time she saw it. she imagined all the colors created, and how amazingly super fantastic it was. She then tried to allow that thought to carry on into making psychedelic thoughts for her.

She slowly looked at everything around her and stopped on a stereo. She reached over to turn it on. The late night program was run by some funny sounding pony, so she giggled as she could barely ,ake out or comprehend what he was saying. He decided to play a song that just had to make Pinkie close her eyes and imagine it. She let the music just consume her ears, and which eventually she relaxed enough to actually feel the waves of music spur throughout her body. She couldn't even feel her body twitching because she was so focused on the music. The song seemed to go on forever, only for it to end and for her to finally lift her head. She became a little dizzy and her head bobbed a teeny bit.

Pinkie became self-aware for a moment, and had to tell herself to remember this feeling. She then noticed some more music was playing, and she slowly closed her eyes and relaxed again. This time her muscles were tensing up and relaxing, creating a euphoric feeling between her imagination and her body. She knew she wasn't hallucinating, because she still had control. She loved this feeling so much, she didn't want to give it up. She was just happy like normal, but Dash was right; it was a different type of happy. It was an out of body happy, and she loved every minute of it. The time was ticking away with Pinkie imagining new things for every song she listened to. Before long she looked at the clock and realized it was four o’ clock. She panicked a little, but then calmed down. She had come down enough to realize where she was right away. She also knew not to try and move because the cloud walking spell had worn off. The couch was her safe zone and she would have to wait until Dash awoke to get back down safely. Pinkie was so excited to try weed again. She loved how it made her happy, and she didn’t even need to try. She finally closed her eyes, and got one of the best night’s sleeps she could have.

When Pinkie awoke, she was a little out of it. The radio had been turned off, even though Pinkie left it on. She noticed Dash was flying around the house stretching her wings. Dash noticed Pinkie waking up and flew over to her.

“Hey, there junior flyer, have a fun time with your old pal here?” Rainbow seemed pretty relaxed, and looked ready to do some flying practice as she had her flight goggles resting on her head.

“Mhm! that was super-duper awesome. I really wanna try it again!” Pinkie got really excited and jumped up and down on the couch.

Easy there kid, it’s still not exactly a good thing for your body or mind, so don’t do too much of it.” Dash gave her a motherly look, “Besides, it’s kind of hard to get. It can grow everywhere, just there isn’t a lot of it. Anyways are ya ready to go?”

“You bet!” Pinkie hopped into Rainbow Dash’s arms, and they flew down to the hill top. They gave a high hoof and went to do their daily tasks.

Author's Note

Well, I apologize if this offends anypony for having drug use in it, but frankly I don't care. This is what I though of today. I figured it's kind of a mature thing, considering it's discussing something illegal, even if it doesn't have bad language. I always thought this is what Pinkie's first smoke of weed would have been like. Very calming and relaxing for her, and when she finally came down, she would feel almost out of body with all of it.
