//-------------------------------------------------------// Pen Pals 2: Changeling Bloogaloo -by Zoom zoom- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Wake Up, Wake Up //-------------------------------------------------------// Wake Up, Wake Up The sound of thumbing upstairs was enough to cause your body to stir.  It was a good thing you didn’t have any more overnight jobs or this would have been hell to have while you were sleeping.  As it was now, it was only a slight annoyance hearing all the creatures running around upstairs trying to get their caretaker’s attention while you stretched out and prepared to get to the daily grind of things. You had to consider whether you finally had off today or not.  Lately you had so many jobs it was hard to keep up.  Allowing your horn light to glow you picked up your notepad and skimmed your schedule.  Sure enough, today and tomorrow would be your first full days off in weeks.  You were not needed as much on Carrot Top’s farm now that she was over her injured leg, and Mr. Breezy was going on a vacation for the next two weeks.  All your other part-time jobs were finally over too now that your medicine was fully paid off. That’s right your medicine, that disgusting crap you cousin-doctor forced on you.  White was going to pay for making it taste like a cow patty just because “medicine should taste bad.  It means you won’t overdose if you hate it.”  But you didn’t have time to be mad.  This was a time to celebrate. What could you do?  The first thing that popped into your brain was to take your latest paycheck and go for a night on the town, or as close as you could get in Ponyville.  Maybe you could ask Discord for ideas, wait bad idea.  The last time you encouraged Discord Fluttershy and her friends alienated you for a week.  Pinkie Pie would be a safer bet, she’d know the perfect night you could have friends or not since it was her special talent.  You resolve to ask her later on.  For now you have to get your choirs in the house done before heading out.  You did have to do SOMETHING in return for free rent after all, even if your roommate was kind enough to never demand anything from you. “Morning love,” called a sweet voice in your ear.  You jumped back in surprise.  Before your eyes was a pink maned, cream coloured pegasus who proceeded to flap her wings happily as she looked at you with a seductive look.  She crept closer to you that look piercing your very soul as she wrapped her hooves around your neck in a hug.  Her voice rolling from her lips into your ear again, just as tempting as her eyes were, “Are you ready for a morning round?” You couldn’t believe it, but you were not dreaming either.  Granted you could never tell if you were in a dream but that wasn’t the point here since everything was so coherent that you’d never even consider the dream angle in an actual dream, right?  Besides, there was no way your roommate would…. That thought snapped you back to reality as you realized what was going on.  A serious look came across your face as you pushed her off you and stared back at the cream mare.  “What are you doing here Bloo?” you asked with an unamused tone.  You did your best to hide the slight arousal you wings had gotten from this as you said so. The Pegasus blinked for a moment, then looked down disappointed as a green flame took up where she was.  When it was gone, your adopted sister sat there on your bed with that same look, her jet black skin that looked black in the lack of sun and sapphire eyes drooping a bit.  “Ah man, I thought I had you for once.  Where did I give myself away?” Pen Pals 2: Changeling Bloogaloo By Nicholas Jorvan (I do not own this property, if it wasn’t obvious this is a fan story based on Hasbro’s My Little Pony.) Rather than answer right away you went into your stretching exercises.  This helped get rid of your wings sudden stiffness and doubled as annoying your sister.  Nothing got to her more upset than when you didn’t answer a question due to her impatience.  Grow up with an older brother physically weaker than you even as a foal in every aspect and you tend to get mad at having to wait when you were the kind of pony Bloo was. “Well besides the fact Fluttershy isn’t the type to make the first move,” you commented back finally finishing your stretching.  “The two of us are just friends.  No way she’d risk losing a friendship with something this bold.” Your sister snorted, “What are you gay?  How can you live with THE Fluttershy for what, six months?”  You nodded to confirm that.  “Six months, and not make a move on her.  I’d say that is pretty spineless.” “Again I point out we are just friends,” you retorted.  “I don’t think about her like that.” “Baloney!,” she responded, “Besides the fact you’re a guy, and every guy wants to go after that kind of girl.  Your eyes betrayed you.  I can tell what you were thinking back there, and I saw your wings.  I know my brother’s tastes so I know there isn’t any way you are not thinking that unless you’re either gay or you’re suddenly confessing to me.” “Don’t make me think about such disgusting things,” you said shaking your head.  You were used to your sister throwing out that, but the act still made you want to barf.  Since it was a possibility that you could since she wasn’t related to you by blood and could look like any mare you wanted it would be fine.  But at the same time it was your sister, and though her own nature made her want such a love from you both of you would never go that far.  Your sister however never tired of making a joke about it though. Finishing driving that thought out of your mind you finally asked, “Okay back on topic.  When did you get here?  What are you doing here?  You didn’t even send a letter to say you were coming.  Also put your face on before Fluttershy comes down to check on me.” You sister rolled her eyes and a green flame engulfed her again.  Now she was a blue Pegasus of the same colour as her eyes had been before only now with a yellow mane to go with it.  “Better?” she asked.  You shrugged as Bloo continued. “To answer your questions in order: I got here last night before you got home.  But I suddenly had the idea to pull my little trick this morning so I just waiting in the shadows after you passed out and slept on the floor waiting for your mate, who I now come to find you didn’t get yet and now I’m starving.  I’m here because I figured it would be a good surprise for you since you haven’t seen me in so long.  Now you’re saying you don’t like the idea of your adorable little sister coming to see you?” She gave you the old puppy face and you groaned.  “No,” you replied, “It is really nice to see you.  Just could have used a warning is all.  You tend to not plan your trips well and the last time you did this I ended up having to fight three stallions for your honor.  I’m not about to do that anymore now that I know they are true.” “If you had listened to me,” retorted you sister, “You wouldn’t have had to fight them in the first place.  But I do like the gesture all the same.”  She smiled and pecked you on the cheek.  You could feel her feeling off the affection you felt at that moment. While not as good as the love between special someponies, family love was enough for her sometimes and still better than just plain lust.  At least that was what she told you once.  She was always the type to prefer to get ponies attracted thinking they were going to go at it with a model for a one night stand.  The idea of replacing a loved one didn’t sit well with her despite it being in her nature just as tempting you was.  Good parenting to your mother’s credit and your support you guessed, that and Bloo wasn’t exactly like other changelings that liked to hide since you had to constantly remind her to change into a pony when others were around. “So,” Bloo exclaims loudly.  “How about you introduce me to your ‘roommate’ and I, being the creature of romance that I am, will see where you stand on the matter.”  You blush for the moment thinking about Fluttershy for a bit.  True you were pretty sure you were only friends with her, but when you sister hits the nail on the head she really hits that nail. “Alright fine,” you reasoned, “It’s not like I could hide you anyway.  Just be sure to be on your best behavior.”  You gave her your best stern look for emphasis. “Of course,” she said doing a Pinkie Promise.  You stared at her for a moment till she gulped.  “Wh-what?” she asked with a face realizing what she had just done. Your answer was short and simple, “How do you know what a Pinkie promise is?” Your sister chuckled nervously, “Well let’s just say I’ve been in town a little longer than I said before and leave it at that alright.  I only wanted to wait on meeting Fluttershy with you, but I’ve met all the other elements already.” You groaned, “Can you at least walk around like you are now and I don’t have to hear about anything gossip worthy?” “Not the kind you’re used to,” she defended.  “Never touched anypony, I swear.  Frankly I think your wrong for even thinking I’d do such a thing.” “Said the girl who if I remember, spent a month following me so she can impersonate me when I didn’t go through with one night stands…”  You sister giggled a bit at you stating that, but quickly goes into innocent mode after you give her your brotherly stare again.  “Alright then,” you said giving up, “let’s go have breakfast.” //-------------------------------------------------------// It's Another Day //-------------------------------------------------------// It's Another Day As usual the place is quite alive with the various animals of the cottage playing an eating everywhere when you and Bloo finally step out of your basement room.  A quick scan showed Angel being irate as he attempted to keep a new bunny in the cottage from squeezing him to death with her vice hugs. He spotted you and cried out for help.  You shrugged and assisted with your magic, the pain in your head not nearly as bad as it used to be, long enough for Angel to escape.  The yellow bunny you had taken to call Buttercream ever since she started saying in the cottage gave chase.  After a few impressive maneuvers by the little white rabbit he eventually tricked her into running out of the house and threw the door shut on her.  He wiped the sweat from his brow and smiled back at you before wondering into the kitchen. When you had first moved here the little bunny didn’t like you much at all.  But a few magical tail fluffs and some well made dinners at Fluttershy’s insistence had gotten you on his good side.  He had basically helped you train your magic on your days off since you couldn’t use it in normal life like most do to your situation which had also kept him in good spirits with you.  Plus now he was too distracted with Buttercream these days to pay you much mind since you were out of the house most of the day anyway. Bloo whistled after seeing your magical display, “Wow bro, you’ve improved.  Guess I was being too rough on you if a Bunny got you to do something like that.”  You were not sure if she was being sarcastic or not, that was another thing about your sister.  She had a hard time understanding what sarcasm and spite were as a foal and that resulted in her doing it without intent or knowledge sometimes.  These statements that could be taken as insults being the more annoying it could get. You shook your head deciding she was sincere, “Nah, Angel just has a lot of things he demands compared to other pets.  He helps me every now and then with training my magic so it isn’t as bad as it used to be.  Still can’t lift anything even half as well as I can with mah hooves but it works out well enough.” “’Mah hooves’?” mocked your sister, “When did you start speaking in a southern drawl?  You haven’t even been here a year yet.” “Well I do that sometimes,” you retort, “Most of my work is on farms out here after all.  I’m bound to get a little of it.” The sound of something being fried in the kitchen rang out into the living room and so did the smell of orange juice.  Fluttershy wasn’t calling out to you since she likely didn’t know you were up already.  Pancakes, that seemed like a safe bet since she loved to make them on your days off.  “Let’s go introduce you quick before Fluttershy stops cooking and I have to share with you.” “Interesting,” your sister mused.  “I take it you must really like her pancakes?” “I know where you’re going with that and I’d out you in a second if you bring up the conversation anywhere near that,” you warned. Bloo groaned, “Spoilsport.” As the two of you trotted into the rather large kitchen your ears wear treated to something you had not realized till now that they had missed desperately over the last few days.  The notes danced in your head and slowly you felt everything around you fade, leaving only that beautiful set of notes to be the only thing you could pay any attention too. At least till the sound of your sister using her magic again snapped you out of your daze, your own image staring back at you.  Before you could slap your sister upside the head for doing this, said angelic voice graced your ears once again.  “Oh… my.” All things considered, Fluttershy took seeing two of you pretty well.  You expected her to freak out and start speaking in incoherent tongues.  Simply having her eyes roll back into her head as she muttered and then passing out was actually a step up in being able to handle something like this. “Why did you feel the need to do that?” you asked checking to make sure nothing was about to catch fire.  This was not the first time Fluttershy had a freak out since you moved in and it was part of the reason you understood why Angel was as usually the one trusted the most with stuff out of all the animals there. “What?” protested your sister.  “Just because I wasn’t at the invasion and didn’t support it doesn’t mean I’m going avoid a perfect opportunity to trick somepony I normal would that was involved in it.”  With another flame she was back to her blue pegasus form and over to the stove to attend to finishing dinner.  You had to give you sister credit for that at least. “You’re just going to keep blaming others on that aren’t you,” you stated lifting Fluttershy into your forelimbs and using your magic to steady her as you trotted back into the living room to lay her on the couch.  She wasn’t exactly heavy, but since you had been known to drop her a few times by accident before you’d also started using magic more to compensate. As you layed her on the couch and felt her warmth leave your body you felt a sting tug at your heart.  Here she was, unable to stop any advance you did make and likely very willing to accept any you did try… but still it didn’t seem right.  Your sister was right, you really were a coward when it came to going beyond your comfort zone sometimes.  It was why you still were a virgin, and it was why you had taken so long to even try meeting this mare before you. Fluttershy’s mane covered her face and you snapped out of you daze.  Now that you were not caught in your own little world you could see she did have some bags under her eyes.  Had she been up all night helping another creature with something?  Maybe she needed the rest anyway.  Smiling a bit you got up to find two birds had brought Fluttershy a blanket too.  Perks of being a great caretaker, you assumed.  You helped drape the blanket over her form and then went back in the kitchen to, this time, make sure your sister knew all the ground rules.
