My "Little" Hunter: Magic is Plasma
Awaken and Remember
Load Full StoryThe hunter awoke. It's feeling of touch was the first to flow into it's great body. Shortly followed by the ever-so generous feeling of pain. as to be expected from a crash landing, of course. In a stroke of luck, it's memory storage was the third thing to come to, so the lone mgalekgolo decided to ponder on memories of the previous night until it could "see" again.
It was boarding a covenant flagship, a helper in the Covenant civil war. A good portion of the Mgalekgolo joined the UNSC resistance to follow the Sangheili, and some out of pure respect for the Humans' will to resist and a chance to throw back the Covenant. It was paired with an Altered, the humans that felt of unnatural change in the body, coded Zeon-126. His armor was colored an ebon-grey, laced with purple lines. It inwardly smirked at the irony that now the last thing the Covenant would see is purple. He wasn't bad, for a human of course. Nice and silent, not giving one reason to backhand him into a wall like a Grunt. Zeon motioned towards the door before noticing It was hurtling into the door, smashing it over. Zeon rushed in and gave It cover while It's back was turned to smash the control functions. Soon, the job was done, and they were fighting, really more of Zeon 'hitching a ride' on It's back while It mowed down targets as if It were a Scarab-Hive. However, it was only a Mgalekgolo, and it only had so much armor and so many lekgolo inside of it. It was eventually forced to fall back, unable to reach the Pelican. The duo silently meditated into a small transcendence, and hoped that this would make the burns less painful. Oh yeah, It almost forgot, the ship was hurtling towards the fairly large star that Earth orbited, called the sun. a large shake woke It, only to see the plates on the ship falling off from the sheer gravity, when he spied a wormhole. The hunk of junk was hurtling by a worm-hole, and as the ship's current destination was the humans' SUN, it's body made the consensus to take a Leap of Faith. His armor held pressure at bay, and he internally shut down...
Well, it seemed like a good idea.
After an indescribable amount of time replaying the events, the hunter's "sight" finally kicked in. "Sight" being a powerful neural network that can sense different forms of life with different levels of intelligence within a 500 foot radius. The hulking mass forced itself to stand upright and to seek out the one form of semi-intelligent life it could find. Sadly, it found no sign of the one thing it didn't want to smash, but at least it found something to smash.
It could sense the outline of scrawny, hairless lupin creatures in the form of a pack behind It. They wanted to sneak up on It... priceless. It let out a soft chuckle and let them think they had the advantage. Eventually, a slightly larger one (It believes is the alpha) struck out in a leap. How cute, it even came with it's very own snarl! The lupin was greeted in midair with a seemingly curled up, sleeping biped flipping around and backhanding it, and a chuckle at the yelp of pain that rewarded it before it smashed into the tree and fell apart. Again, priceless.
Wait, the beast fell apart?
Upon further inspection, It-
*Snarl*
-brought it's shield arm up behind It, just in time to let another scrawny lupin slam face first into it. 'This one will feel my wrath first...' It thought, for more lupus were prowling to the side of their pack-brother. It watched as five other lupus joined their buddy, and stared It down... yet he kept his sights on the beast at the left. This Mgalekgolo never breaks a promise that he makes to himself like a deranged madgolo.
It lunged at the sneaky fool, throwing a great deal of rage from being such a fool into one massive swing. The poor lupin never even had time to do more than make a whimper that sounded of Holy superhappytreefriends, i'm screwed. The snap that the impact made could be heard for miles, fortunately loud enough to drown out the terrifying roar that accompanied it.
It's body was split between emotions. One was ecstatic that It crushed the lupin with a satisfying crack, like snapping off a piece of metal from it's plate. the other part of him was ecstatic, but because this finally scared the beasts into bolting like little grunts. It thought, and made the consensus that it should be laughing because he positively squished the mutt.
It resumed it's inspection of the fallen alpha. Finally, It learned that there was no blood or bone, because it was a tightly woven plant life with animalistic instincts, woven tog ether by a force that needs further observation. It turned to leave, when he noticed that once again had begun to give off a heat reading. Curious, It watched as the abomination was enveloped in a sickly green aura, and began to repair itself.
'O-kay.. this freak's gonna die this time.' It thought, inwardly overjoyed to see that It's assault cannon began to operate once more, completing the startup process. It charged up the shining green aura of plasma, Prepared for the knockback...
And It fired a great blast of plasma that showed this forest's freaks just what they were screwing with.
