Of Bloody Horns and Yellow Feathers.
Fluttershy was worried. Lately her friend, Twilight, had been acting a little bit strangely. She had assumed it was just stress, but she was starting to get pretty concerned for her friend. Twilight was in the library most of the time, and when she occasionally came out of the library, she only stayed out for a few minutes, then she went back inside the library again. Twilight had even made Spike stay out of the library entirely for the last few weeks. Fluttershy decided that there was only one option, she would go visit Twilight and find out exactly why Twi had been acting so strange. As Fluttershy trotted down the streets of Ponyville, she wondered what she would say.
She could never outright ask Twi what was wrong, that would be too pushy, and Twi might be offended. Of course, she couldn't exactly steer the topic towards that either, or Twi would catch on, and be even more offended. Oh, no, that would never do. But she simply must find out why her friend was acting oddly! She shook her head, and settled her mind. She would have to just ask Twi what was going on. She neared the library and paused a second before gently rapping on the door.
"T..Twilight? Are y..you in there? I..I'm kind of..kind of worried about you, Twi. I..I'd like to talk with you? If you don't mind, i mean?" Fluttershy heard a faint rustle inside.
"No! No, don't come in! I..I'll come out to you! Just don't come in! Don't!" she heard Twilight say. A minute later, Twi came to the door.
"Ohmygoodness, are you alright?" Fluttershy hurriedly asked. Her friend looked absolutely awful, with messy, matted hair, and blood-shot eyes with shadows under them.
"Huh? I mean yes! I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be fine??!" Twilight said, a bit too hastily. Twi rubbed a hoof across her mane before saying,"Flutters..I..what are you doing here?" She asked.
"Umm..j..just checking up on you..I..I'm worried about you. You just don't seem...yourself." Fluttershy said.
"Of course I'm fine!!! Heh-heh. Why wouldn't I be fine! I'm just dandy!!!" Twilight said, inching back into the library.
Fluttershy steeled herself. Twi would be mad, but there was simply no other way. She could tell Twily had no intention of telling her what was wrong, so Fluttershy simply, simply MUST go into the library. She just hoped Twi wouldn't be too mad.
As Twilight inched further inside, Fluttershy suddenly jumped up and raced inside.
"NOOOOO!!!!!" Twilight said. "Stay OUUUTTTTT!!!!"
Fluttershy stopped short inside the library. There were the bodies of ponies, strung up against the walls. Where books had been, now there were bloodstains and pony skulls. Some of the bodies had arms torn off, others had their throats slit or their heads entirely cut off. The bodies seemed to be ponies from Ponyville, faces that Fluttershy had seen, but only vaguely remembered.
Fluttershy screamed, but even as horror and disgust crossed her mind, she felt sad that she had never met these ponies, never been able to know them before they died.
She wheeled around, repressing gag reflexes, and saw Twilight standing behind her. The look on Twilight's face of surprise had been replaced by one of rage, insanity, and what oddly enough seemed to be laughter.
"No!!!" Fluttershy half-screamed, half-wailed. "You d..did this! You killed those ponies!!! You...how...how could yoouu???!"
Twilight grinned maniacally and said, "You know, I told you not to come in. Now I'll have a pretty, butter-yellow pegasus to add to my collection of...experiments. Oh, yes, experiments. Ponies have always underestimated me, laughed at me for not being the very best...soon I'll be laughing! I've discovered a secret, one that nopony else even DARED to discover!!! Why don't you show her what I'm talking about, Bon-Bon?!!"
Fluttershy whirled around and saw a
monstrosity behind her. It seemed to be a pony, or what used to be a pony, but it's eyes were glassy, ad it had a stitched-together look.
"N...no!!! You c...couldn't!!" Fluttershy shrieked, holding back vomit and tears. The thing appeared to be a reanimated corpse! "B...but I..I thought you were my friend??!!!!" Fluttershy wailed to Twilight, stepping away from the "zompony."
"Oh, but friends mustn't go poking into each others business!!! You should have stayed out, and now look where it's gotten you!" Twilight screamed shrilly. "Bon-Bon, get her!"
Fluttershy ran, but Twilight had put up a miniature force-field around her, sealing her and "Bon-Bon" together.
"N...NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" She screamed, flapping her yellow wings as the zompony put its hooves on her. She knew with a sudden certainty, that this was it. She was going to die. As she sobbed through her own blood, she said to her former friend, Twi, "I..I forgive you...please...don't do this...to me or to yourself."
Twilight's grin faltered for a moment, but was quickly back. Twilight laughed, and laughed, as she saw Fluttershy being killed slowly.
"You should have stayed out!!! AHAHAHAHAAAHAA!!!!" were the last words Fluttershy ever heard, as she slowly grew unconscious, her head hitting the floor under the weight of the zompony standing on top of her, gnawing at her creamy-yellow feathers.

Angel Bunny sniffed the door as it grew closer to dark. Usually Fluttershy was home by this time. He felt slightly worried for her, but quickly pushed it aside. She was just late, was all. She would come home in a few minutes, surely. Nothing to be worried about.
Angel had always had a rather odd relationship with Fluttershy. He was always pushing her around, but she didn't mind. And in return, Angel absolutely loved her. He couldn't imagine what would happen if she were to go...but of course she was okay! After all, just because she had never gotten home this late before didn't mean he should be worried.
But all the same, he was. What if Fluttershy wasn't okay? What would happen to him? What would happen to the other pets she was constantly taking in? Who...who would fluff his tail? Fluttershy was the best tail-fluffer ever! He couldn't imagine having his tail fluffed by any other pony. Plus, Fluttershy understood him. Most ponies just thought of animals as silly creatures, but Fluttershy actually respected animals, and was always nice to them. She was always nice to everypony...
He really hoped she was okay.
