The Chronicles of Princess Molestia
Chapter 1: Sparkling Sunlight

It is said that if there’s one place in Equestria that the sun shines the brightest during midday, it would be found in the magical city of Canterlot. Though more significant events that have affected Equestria took place in its neighbor city of Ponyville, Canterlot was the place that a large number of unicorn ponies called home. The entire estate brimmed with a degree of glamour, sophistication, and enchantment that other towns didn’t quite measure up to. It was no wonder that Canterlot was the capital city of Equestria and home to their two regal overseers, who lived in the highest tower in the city: Princess Luna, in charge of raising the moon each night and scarcely seen during the day; and her older sister, the one tasked with raising the sun high in the sky each morning, the fair and benevolent Princess Celestia.
Princess Celestia was loved by all of her subjects, royalty and commoner alike. For she was not the type to sit from her throne barking orders, letting her appointed officials do all of the work for her. She had no issue with flying down to the Earth pony’s level, to interact and get to know every pony in each town as much as she could. She also had a very abundant sense of humor. As long as no pony was hurt in the process, she’d always find ways to liven things up in whatever occasion she was a part of. She was so loved by all residents of Equestria, that if one were to speak out against her, they’d soon find it very hard to make any close friends in their time there. It was her presence here that made Canterlot the shining attraction to view the sun in all of its glory.
On this day however, Princess Celestia's usual calm and cool demeanor seemed absent. Sitting atop her throne and tapping her back hoof impatiently, she would glance up at the enormous clock appointed above the double doors entering into the room. The princess could not hide the fact that something had her most unsettled. Noticing her distress, one of the two guard ponies assigned to her watch tried his best to gauge the situation. “Um, your majesty is everything okay?” he asked, turning his head from the front slightly.
“It’s none of your business.” Princess Celestia snapped back rather forcefully. “Mind your post.” The guard gulped loudly and turned his head back, facing the doorway. The princess’s head sank as she realized how rude she had just been. “I apologize. You’ve done nothing wrong. I’m just… nervous about the meeting I have today. It’s been so long since I’ve had private meetings with somepony in my throne room, besides my sister of course.” The guard pony said nothing, his eyes fixed dutifully to the front. He seemed determined whether the princess liked it or not, to stick to his duty. She rolled her eyes, and took another look at the clock. You were supposed to be here five minutes ago, she thought to herself. Where are you, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle had been a very important pony in Princess Celestias' life, as of late. She had discovered the young unicorn one morning when she had finished raising the sun, and was taking a moment to enjoy the scenery of a fresh morning. Part of why she was so loved by her subjects was that she stopped to enjoy the little things in life, instead of only focusing on her duties.
However something unexpected happened that morning. While she was watching a group of young ponies find their way back home after a night of hijinx, she heard a loud and thunderous crack burst from the sky, as a giant rainbow ring expanded throughout the clouds. “Oh my, a sonic rainboom!” she declared, nodding her head down to sniff the flowers. “I haven’t seen one of those in many centuries. I wonder who’s responsible?” Before she could investigate, another large crack rang out behind her. She looked in its direction to see a giant dragon’s head jutting out of the roof of the building where examinations for gifted unicorn scholars took place. With a sense of urgency, she ran into the building, surprising many ponies there with the sight of their princess galloping past them, with none of her guards accompanying her. Finding the room that the dragon was confined to, she peeked her head in to see a young purple unicorn with pink streaks in her mane hovering in a magic bubble, with all sorts of magical disturbances occurring all around her. How can such a young unicorn have so much power? She asked herself. It was enough to rival her young sister’s, maybe even her own. She stepped forth and placed a hoof on the young unicorn, giving her a reassuring smile as she turned to see who had just touched her. As the young pony settled down, things began to turn back to normal throughout the room: The judges crashed on the floor with a thud, the cactus and yucca turned back into who the princess assumed to be her parents, and the giant dragon resumed its infantile form, sucking its tail contentedly.
“Twilight Sparkle, you have a very special gift. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a unicorn with your raw abilities before! But you need to learn to tame these abilities through focused study. I’d like to make you my own personal protégé here at the school.”
From that moment on, Twilight had constantly pushed herself, learning new spells every day and reporting to the princess her progress with her studies. Princess Celestia marveled at how dedicated Twilight had been to prove herself. It was something that made her proud that she had chosen the right unicorn to become a mentor to.
While Princess Celestia was busy reminiscing, one of the doors opened slightly, as a guard stepped in and bowed his head to the floor. “Your majesty, a young mare requests an audience with you. One Miss Twilight Sparkle.”
A wide smile appeared over the princess’s face at hearing of her guests’ arrival. “Wonderful! I mean, yes of course. You may send her in.” she responded, trying to regain her composure. The guard nodded and retreated to the other side, preparing the young guest to enter her throne. She quickly illuminated a mirror to levitate in front of her, and checked for anything about her appearance that might be amiss. “Let’s see, any make-up smears? Eyelashes, hooves, good; mane, flowing as usual; great.” She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Come on now, Celestia, you’ve dealt with Discord, Nightmare Moon, and kept this entire country safe for a millennium. Why are you getting so worked up over-“
The double doors swung open as the two guards outside pushed them away, and faced each other to allow the same young unicorn the princess had discovered that day to enter the room. Here she was, all grown up, and with many years of training under her hoof. She looked up at her mentor and beamed enthusiastically. “Hello, princess!”
“Twilight Sparkle, my most faithful student” Princess Celestia responded majestically, not a trace of her prior tension apparent in her voice. “So wonderful to see you!”
“And you as well, princess.” Twilight bowed her head slightly, not as low as the other ponies, as a sign of familiarity. “Sorry I’m late. Spike had been up all night finishing up his chores because he’d been over helping Rarity with her dress orders, and he didn’t wake up when he got your letter. I found it this morning in his mouth and had to rush to find a chariot to fly me here.”
Princess Celestia giggled at how flustered Twilight was. “Oh, Twilight, it’s no problem at all. I would have sent a chariot to pick you up myself, but since this isn’t official business, it would have seemed a bit shady.”
“Wait, what do you mean this isn’t official?” Twilight asked sounding confused. “I figured any order from her majesty WAS official business. Isn’t there some sort of task or special problem you need me to investigate?”
“No, no, Twilight. Not everything has to be about saving Equestria or reporting your studies to me. You see, I’d been thinking about what happened at the Grand Galloping Gala some time ago, and-“
“Oh, that…” Twilight turned her head down at the mention of that event. Princess Celestia had invited her protégée to the most anticipated ball of the year, and Twilight had of course brought her best friends along as guests. Each pony had their ideas of what they wanted the night to be like, but every single one had ended up being disappointed. Even the princess herself was becoming frustrated that she couldn’t get a word in edgewise with her own student, since so many guests kept showing up well past when the party had started. By a miracle, Twilight’s friends had provided a grand distraction. After a multitude of events, her own nephew had been covered in Applejack’s baked apple desserts, a statue of herself had been broken in half by Rainbow Dash, and the garden animals were being chased around by the not-so-timid-anymore Fluttershy. “Princess, I’m so sorry about that. I never meant for things to get so out of hoof. I just wanted to-“
“You misunderstand, Twilight, I’m not angry.” She reassured her “In fact, I wanted to see if I could make it up to you.”
“To… me?” Twilight gasped.
“Yes, of course. You had said that you wanted to speak with me about all the things you’d learned, and about how you’d improved on your magic. But I was so busy greeting every guest that I just couldn’t get a moment with you. So, I’d like us to take this evening to do just that. You and me, nopony else to distract us. Guards! You may leave us.” The two guards propped up and marched towards the doors, closing it behind them with a resounding THUD. With them gone, she lowered herself to Twilight’s height, and rested on her stomach in a more relaxed state “Well then, let’s chat.”
Twilight’s face lit up when she finished explaining today’s agenda to her. She looked as if she was about to start bouncing up and down at any moment. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, princess! You don’t know how much this means to me!” Twilight quickly sat down on her hindquarters looking right at her with anticipation.
“Let’s see, where to start. Ah, well first of all, I did assign you to your first task in Ponyville primarily to harness the Elements of Harmony. I was expecting that you’d want to return to your home in Canterlot after you had finished, but you surprised me when you said you’d wanted to stay. You must truly cherish your friends.”
“Of course I do! I mean, when I first met them, they all seemed absolutely crazy to me. Rainbow Dash sometimes has a bit of an ego problem. Rarity just can’t seem to do anything unless it sparkles with absolute perfection. And Pinkie Pie? Don’t even get me started on Pinkie Pie.”
“Oh, that was the one that decided to ‘share’ my cupcake with me at the get together you arranged for me, correct?”
“Uh… yeah, that’s Pinkie.” Twilight sheepishly responded. Pinkie Pie was probably the only pony in history that would have ever had the moxie to snatch a cupcake from right under the princesses’ snout. “But, despite all of their quirks, they’re the best friends a pony could ask for. They’ve taught me so much about what it means to get along with others in society. If it weren’t for them, I might still be holed up in my library, not even aware of how lonely I was.”
Princess Celestia noticed that Twilight was looking a bit gloomy while she recalled the lonliness of her previous life, surrounded by books and isolated from the outside world. She quickly decided to change the subject to keep her spirits up. “So, my faithful student, have you been improving on your magic?”
Twilight’s face instantly perked up “Oh, yes princess! I’ve learned so many more spells! The way I’ve been going lately, I’m learning more than two new spells every week!”
Impressed, the princess nodded her head. “That’s very good to hear. I knew from the first day I met you that you were destined to do great things. It’s not every day that you can find a unicorn that can not only hatch a dragon egg, but also expand its size by twenty times.”
Twilight snickered. “Oh, come on, princess. You’ve lived for a thousand years. I’m sure you’ve found a few more talented unicorns than me, right?”
“No, I can’t say that I have. In fact, I’ll share a secret with you: Even I’m not able to do what you did.”
Twilight’s jaw dropped. “No way… are you serious?” the princess nodded. “Really?” she nodded again. “…REALLY!?”
“Yes, Twilight, really, really. I’ve never in my entire life of ruling this kingdom have come across a spell like that.”
“Oh my gosh… I’m able to do magic that even the princess can’t do.”
“Oh, have you rediscovered the spell, dear?”
“Um… no. I haven’t.”
“Well then, I guess you really don’t have that edge over me quite yet, do you?” the white alicorn stuck her tongue out at Twilight, causing her to jump up on her hooves with a snort.
“Just you wait, princess!” Twilight exclaimed full of enthusiasm “I AM going to figure out that spell, and when I do, I’ll come back and show you how it’s done. Then the student will have officially surpassed the master!” Princess Celestia sat in shock at her student’s sudden outburst. Suddenly remembering who she was talking to, she sunk her head into her hooves. The princess broke into an uproar of laughter.
“Oh my goodness, Twilight, such passion! I had no idea you were so determined to upstage me! I actually admire that. It shows that your desire to learn literally has no bounds.”
“Really? How so?”
“Well, think about it this way:” Princess Celestia cleared her throat and lifted her body up to stand upright, her head facing towards the ceiling “I am Twilight Sparkle!” she announced resolutely “And it is my mission in life to study the secrets of magic, and unlock my true potential! Even the limits of the wise Princess Celestia are but a stepping stone on my path to ultimate knowledge! I shall aim higher than she can even raise the sun!” She looked back down at Twilight who was looking transfixed upon her teacher. “What do you think? Pretty inspiring, isn’t it?”
“Princess…” Twilight started to say, choking on her words. “Thank you. You’re the best. Even if I were to surpass your abilities, I’d still look to you for direction and support. That’s something that will never change.”
Princess Celestia smiled and gazed at Twilight Sparkle, still in awe of her majesty’s greatness. “I know that, Twilight. You’ll still always be my most faithful student.” She stepped towards Twilight and knelt down, bringing her face down against Twilight’s. “I cherish the relationship we have.”
“Oh thank you, princess! This has been the best day of my entire life! Even better than when I got my cutie mark!” Twilight nuzzled gently against her mentor in pure bliss. Princess Celestia smirked as she felt Twilight’s soft coat against her cheek. The princess didn’t really have many ponies who she could converse with like this, except for her sister. And while she was glad to be reunited with Luna, there were some things that could never be repaired after she had been exiled. It made the princess feel empty inside. Feeling Twilight against her seemed to bring back those happy feelings she’d shared with her sister. However, they began to grow more intense inside her as she began to feel a sense of longing for the unicorn next to her. Feeling playful, she moved her head up and nibbled Twilight’s right ear, making her giggle. “Stop it, your majesty, that tickles!” Without warning, Princess Celestias’ tongue slid out and probed the inside of her ear playfully. “P-princess, what are you…?”
“Ssh, just relax.” Princess Celestia whispered slipping her tongue out and looking deep into Twilight’s eyes. “I thought I’d help train your body on how to control all that magic it has inside.” She moved in and kissed Twilight’s lips tenderly. They tasted sweet, like sugar cookies. She must have eaten some from the guest plate before entering the room. At first, the purple pony protested with a surprised muffle, but she gave in as she stood frozen in place. The princess invaded Twilight’s mouth with her tongue, feeling up all around her oral intracacies. After a few seconds of no motion, Twilight’s tongue instinctively began to move in tune with Princess Celestias’, both intertwined and caressing each other in harmony. She broke the kiss and moved away from Twilight, a small strand of saliva hanging in between them. Breaking the strand, Princess Celestia moved in and licked the tip of Twilight’s nose, flashing a very seductive smile. Twilight opened her eyes after having them closed during the kiss, and looked up at her blushing slightly.
“How…?” she asked, her voice full of apprehension. “How can any of this teach me how to control magic?”
“Well, my student, it’s to warm your body up. While you do need to keep calm and focus your mind, you also need to have some sort of stimulation to get your energy flowing.” Twilight clenched her teeth as her horn began to glow slightly.
“Wait, something’s wrong, I… I’m not trying to conjure any spells! Why’s my horn-?”
“Well, it seems you really haven’t mastered controlling your powers yet, have you, Twilight?” The princess giggled as she ran her own horn against Twilight’s horn. “That’s alright though. Maybe I should help you relieve it of some of its pent up magical tension.” She knelt her head down and placed her tongue at the base of Twilight’s horn, sliding it up ever so slowly until it reached the tip. She noticed a tiny spurt of magic shoot out once her tongue had reached the summit. She was surprised herself at how she was behaving around Twilight. She’d always assumed that it was her eye for potential that drew her to the small unicorn. But as she teased her little student ever more, she realized just how attracted she was to her. She’d been suppressing a certain lust for Twilight for all of these years, and all of those feelings were finally reaching a boiling point.
“Oh gosh, princess, what is this? I’ve never felt this kind of pressure before. Is-is it bad?”
She smiled, circling the tip of her pupil’s glowing horn. “No, of course not. It’s just your powers reacting to stimulation it’s never experienced before. It’s all a part of learning, Twilight.” Opening her mouth, she placed her lips around the shaft and moved downwards, until the horn pushed slightly to the back of her tongue, then moved upwards again feeling every twist in the spiral of the pony’s’ horn. Twilight let out a soft moan as the princess deep-throated her horn in repeated motions, her back legs shaking as she struggled to keep them from spreading apart.
“Mm, princess, I feel so weird. I feel like my horn’s about to... to- oh no!”
Without warning, a large amount of warm and magical fluid erupted from the top of Twilight’s horn and straight into Princess Celestias’ mouth. It traveled down her throat, while some of it spilled out of her lips and down Twilight’s shaft. “Oh my goodness!” the princess remarked, after unwrapping her lips from her student’s magical rod. “That was quite a lot. You’ve really had your magic cooped up inside of you for a while, haven’t you?” The princess seductively lapped up the liquid from around Twilight’s shaft, and licked her own lips clean of what had been spurted onto her.
“I’m so sorry!” Twilight apologized sounding frantic. “I didn’t know that would happen! I-I can’t believe I just shot that… stuff all over you! I’m so embarrassed…”
“Oh, Twilight, it’s not a big deal. Besides, I’ve grown quite accustomed to the taste.” As she spoke, the few drops of fluids on her and Twilight vanished completely, as if they were never there at all. “You’ve been doing well so far, my student, but this last lesson will be a bit more challenging. Are you ready?” Twilight shook her head no, but the princess ignored her and moved her head underneath her, flipping her onto her back. Twilight gazed up at the princess over her hooves which hung futilely in front of her face, while she squeezed her hind legs together to conceal her most tender areas.
“Princess, I feel so… dirty. Please…” Twilight begged, her face full of shame. The princess took a moment to absorb the state of the pony in front of her. She knew that it was wrong; she knew that she should stop. She was abusing her royal status far too much. However, all of these thoughts of good common sense merely increased her drive to have her. It was the knowledge that it was so wrong that excited her. A devious grin appeared on her face with a bit of drool forming at her lips. She felt an exquisite tingle building in between her legs. It forced her to wiggle her bottom to keep her increasing delight in check.
“Please, what?” Princess Celestia asked in a taunting manner “Please continue? Oh, I’d be more than happy to!” The white alicorn circled around her student until she was looking at her from an upside down perspective. She placed her tongue on Twilight’s neck and licked roughly downwards, until she reached her waist, where Twilight still had her legs closed together firmly. Pushing her left leg away with her snout, she stared in lust at her ever-soaking crevice. Before moving in, she teased her student a bit by licking her left breast, breathing heavily on her nipple. She could hear loud panting coming from underneath her as Twilight tried in vain to keep her composure. She moved to the right breast, and gave it a bit of a nibble. After both of them stood erect, she moved to the middle of them, sniffing up Twilight’s moist lips. “Mm, I love the smell of pony musk.” The princess recounted aloud. “Each one has its own unique scent. Yours smells of raspberries, dear.” She closed her eyes and placed her tongue delicately on the surface, lapping up the wetness that had formed there.
Twilight let out a yelp, and bit her hoof to keep from making too much noise. “Ah no, not that. Not… there.” she moaned, begging her mentor to let her keep some of her dignity. Her cries fell on deaf ears, as Princess Celestia dove straight inwards. She pushed as far as she could into Twilight’s lips, flexing her tongue as she moved back and forth rubbing against the inner walls. As the underside of her tongue pushed against her clitoris, it forced Twilight’s back to arch as a reflex to the sensation she was feeling. The princess closed her eyes as she reveled in the experience. The feeling of dominance began to well up inside of her, as her own special area began to secrete some wet excitement of its own. She scooted her rump up closer, so that it was directly above Twilight’s face. It was an awkward position since she was so much larger than her, but it was necessary to achieve the climax she was seeking. “Princess, your… your flank, it’s… ah~!” Before she could get any coherent speech out, her body gave out, spurting a flood of wetness from her small marehood.
Princess Celestia smiled as she wiggled her plot above Twilights’ head. “Do you like it, dear? It has driven colts and mares alike to fall for me over my time as ruler.” She moved her head down, allowing her flank to lower down towards Twilight. “Perhaps you’d like to… take a closer look?” Twilight let out a few muffled cries as her face was covered by the princess’s royal hide. “Oh dear, seems like it’s too much for you to handle! I might be willing to let up, if you can apply the right ‘technique’.” She waited for a few seconds of awkward stillness, until she felt something small and wet force its way in between her haunches. Princess Celestia let out a small squeal as she closed her eyes and stretched out her front hooves, her own large horn emitting a soft glow. “Oh, very good my student, very good! You really do have more power than I thought!” The princess was in pure ecstasy. She’d not expected Twilight to participate so quickly. She could even feel Twilight’s small hooves caressing her thick rump. Or perhaps she was attempting to push her teacher off of her. She wasn’t concerned: her ample flank was more than strong enough to keep her in place. Her hips swayed back and forth in rhythm to Twilight’s tongue, working a good motion to let it push as deep in her haunches as it would go. The feeling was becoming overwhelming, so much so that she could barely control how much force she was exerting onto her pupil.
“Mmf-mmffmf!” Twilight struggled to cry out under the weight of her mentor’s rump. Despite her cries, she never once stopped drilling into the princess. Princess Celestia could feel her purple legs shaking uncontrollably as her lips spurted more liquid excitement from within.
“Don’t you dare stop now, Twilight! I’m nearly there. Just- a bit- more…” Princess Celestias’ horn began to glow more intensely, with the power of a small sun in the room. She braced her front hooves on the floor as she tried to stave off her orgasm as long as she could. “Yes, yes, yes, oh-oh-oh, yes! Ohh~!” Her horn shot out a large amount of fluid in front of her, while her haunches gave out and plopped down onto Twilight. “Oh my, yes. That was wonderful… truly wonderful.” Her forelegs feeling weak, she dragged herself forward to allow her student some breathing space.
Finally able to breathe properly, Twilight let out a large gasp, panting fast as she cried out. “Princess, I-I-I can’t- NO!”
Without warning, another intense feeling shot through Princess Celestia, forcing her into a second orgasm. She hung her tongue out at the sudden feeling, her flank shaking at letting out another torrent of fluids. “Dear me, Twilight, what was that just-?” Suddenly, something powerful pushed her off of Twilight, knocking her a few feet away and head over hoofs. She shook herself of her dizziness, and gazed at what took place in front of her.
Twilight Sparkle hovered over the ground, her entire body surrounded by a magical glowing orb. She could no longer control herself, as her power began to seep out of her, causing all sorts of oddities in the room. The paintings on the ceiling began to morph and change their form, the windows shattered into hundreds of pieces, and Princess Celestias’ very throne shrank in size. The princess pushed herself towards her student, fighting off the strong winds pressing against her. She was astounded by how powerful Twilight really was. She felt a sense of fear forming in the pit of her stomach. She had to get Twilight under control. Finally getting close to her, she reached up and placed her hooves upon her shoulders. Looking into her eyes, Twilight seemed to awaken from her trance as the room began to return to normal. Now fully conscious again, tears welled up in her eyes, as she rolled over on her side, facing away from the princess. Her body shook as tiny whimpers could be heard from her.
Princess Celestia looked down at her student with shame in her heart. She’d betrayed the trust that her prized student had placed in her, and robbed her of her dignity. She had to force herself to get the words stuck in her throat out. “Twilight…?” The small pony did not respond. “Twilight, I’m… very sorry.”
“Sorry?” Twilight responded sharply, her back still to her mentor. “You’re sorry? Really?”
She gulped as Twilight’s words stung her. She knew what she did was wrong, princess or not. “Yes. I know I can’t ever take it back, but I-“
“What you did… what you just did to me was… was… amazing!”
Princess Celestias’ eyes widened at Twilight’s words. “I’m sorry, what was that?”
Twilight rolled over to face the princess, a look of happiness spread across her face. “Thank you so much, princess. It was even better than I imagined it would be.” She leaned forward and nuzzled her cheek against the princesses’ foreleg, purring like a kitten.
“You’re thanking me, dear? But Twilight, what I just did wasn’t supposed to-“
“I know, princess, I should have been able to control my powers by now. I’ve been practicing for so many years; I thought I’d gained control of myself. But I guess I just wasn’t ready for your method of training. Twilight’s head sunk again. “I’m so sorry…”
So that’s what she was so afraid of, the princess thought to herself. She was embarrassed that she’d lose control of her powers in front of me. “Phew!” she breathed a sigh of relief to know that her most cherished pupil didn’t hate her after how inappropriately she had behaved. “Well, Twilight, to be honest with you, I probably put you through more intensive exercises than you were ready for. And as I’ve said before, you have more power than any unicorn I’ve ever seen. So it’s natural that it would take more time for you to control all of it.” Twilight smiled weakly as she stared back up at the princess. “I have an idea. I’ll arrange for more personal visits like these, so we can properly train your body to control all of that power inside of you.”
Twilight’s mouth hung open as she heard her teacher’s words. “Really?” she asked earnestly.
“But of course, my little pony. I’ll still expect brief friendship reports from you every week of course, but I’d say once every three weeks or so, I’ll invite you into my chambers so I can give you more ‘personal tutoring’.” She whispered the last part into Twilight’s ear, causing her to shiver with excitement. “How does that sound?”
A wide smile appeared over Twilight’s face, as she closed her eyes and hopped up and down around Princess Celestia, abandoning any notion she had of keeping her composure. “Yes yes yes yes yes yes!” she cried out in glee. The princess giggled at how adorkable her student tended to be sometimes.
“Well then, if that sounds good to you, I guess I’ll be seeing you more often. Take care of-!” before she could finish her sentence, Twilight bounced up and pinned the princess to the ground, kissing her lips passionately. Where did she get that kind of strength? She asked herself. What happened to her being so submissive? Was that only because she was so afraid of her powers?
Twilight Sparkle broke the kiss and ran a hoof across Princess Celestias’ chest. “Princess…” she mulled over, trying to sort out her thoughts. “This whole… thing that we just did. It wasn’t only about magic… right?
“Well, whatever do you mean, Twilight?”
“I mean…” she gulped as she searched for the strength to speak her mind. “I’ve had feelings for you for a long time, princess. At first I thought it was just a phase, like how most fillies have a crush on their teacher. But as I got older, I realized that I couldn’t stop dreaming of spending time with you like this. So, do you have feelings for me as well? Please be honest with me. I need to know.”
Princess Celestia looked into Twilight’s big eyes, full of longing and hope. She looked away trying to find the right way to put it.
“Can you promise that you won’t speak this to anypony, Twilight Sparkle?”
“I promise.”
“Swear to me.”
“Um… cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye?” Twilight squeaked innocently.
Princess Celestia wasn’t quite sure what Twilight had just said, but it made her laugh. She composed herself and began to level with Twilight, rolling over so that they were both on their stomachs, side by side. “It’s not very easy to rule this kingdom. I’ve lived for more than a thousand years, and I’ve made many wonderful friends through my time. Some closer than others.” She ran her chin across Twilight’s purple and pink mane as she mused over the past. "But of course, time is my constant enemy, and it has claimed each companion. I’ve had my heart broken so many times, I’ve lost count of it. And each time it’s happened, I’ve wondered if it would be better to just distance myself from my subjects, so that I don’t have to experience it again.” Twilight’s face turned to gloom as she heard the princess’s words. She looked away, possibly preparing herself for rejection. “However…” Princess Celestia put her hoof to Twilight’s chin, turning her back so they were face to face. “However, now and then one special pony comes along, with something that makes them stand out from all of the rest. They reach me and force me to cast aside those thoughts and open my heart again to beautiful friendships. So I suppose what I’m saying is… I’m willing to suffer another inevitable heartache if it means being with you.”
Twilight Sparkle’s lips quivered, as a stream of tears poured down from her eyes. “Oh, Princess Celestia…” she leaned in and kissed her beautiful princess gently on her lips. “I love you. I love you so much. I always have. I always will.”
“And I love you, Twilight Sparkle” she responded, her own tears forming on her face. She placed another kiss on Twilight, their tears mingling together and sliding to the floor. Twilight broke their kiss and leaned her head on the princess’s side, dozing off into a deep slumber. Princess Celestia nuzzled Twilight’s cheek softly, as the sun shone in through the shattered windows, bathing the two ponies in the most regal warmth. In all the centuries of her raising the sun, the princess had never felt such benevolent warmth before, even though it was influenced by her. She had the small pony to her side to thank for it. Yet another of the many who had found a way into her heart.
Twilight Sparkle: the Element of Magic.
