Chapter 1.
The Start.
The little Prince.
It was a day in the Equestrian castle, it was a day like any day.
The birds chirped and flew in the air, ponies littered the street and conversed on they're business.
In the castle a small Alicorn colt who had a blue coat and purple mane was running away from a Unicorn stallion who had a blond mane and white coat.
The small colt giggles and ran from the large stallion, whipping past servants and guards, the older stallion rushed past them and soon caught up to him and grabbed the young colts neck with his teeth.
"Aah" cried the colt, he tried to fly away but his stubby little wings wouldn't carry him, he whimpered slightly and the stallion smirked proudly "Now your going to get it" He said to the young colt.
He carried him off to what seemed to be a drier, he dipped the colt in a tub of water and threw him into the machine and started it. The little colt started to spin around in the machine, it went faster and faster. He left him there for a few minutes, then he opened the door. The colt came out dizzy and all puffy.
The stallion gave a hardy laugh and fell on the floor clutching his stomach from being out of breath of his laughter.
A maid came in and saw the two, the colt was crying slightly, he was nothing but a bundle off blue and purple with little stubby legs, she glared at the stallion before her and let out a raging scowl at him "Blueblood what did you do to your cousin?" She asked him angrily.
He scoffed and stood up proudly "I just gave that little twerp a little lesson. A lesson he should have learned long ago" He smirked and flipped his blonde mane over. "And maybe we can get some dinner later?" The maid scoffed and rose her nose high in the air "In your dreams" he walked away laughing "Oh you will come around one day" she looked back "Huh I'd rather have a Manticore rape me then go into bed with you" she scowled under her breath.
She looked at the young colt and cooed "Aww my prince, what did he do to you?" The young colt just sniffled and cried a little, and tried to walk to the maid but just fell down, his coat was too much of a puffy mess to allow him to move. He flailed his hoofs in the air and whimpered.
She shook her head and picked him up and walked down the hall and into a room, she took out a comb and tries to straighten his coat and mane. It was horrible work. His coat and mane all tangles up together, he gave in small static and she winched at times as the static hit her and gave her a small shock.
After a couple of hours just making him proper, she called the Princesses to the room.
"You wanted to call us Marilan?" Asked a soft voice "Thou called us because of thy's son?" Asked another a little more rough and angry.
She turned and saw the two princesses, Luna who looked furious by all her own whits. And Celestia who gave a worrying look and glanced at the small colt who looked down whimpering softly. "Yes your highness, you see the young prince got into some trouble with Blueblood again." She explained to them.
Luna who gave not the slightest satisfying look stomped her hoof down making some of the vases and other loose households shake over.
"WHY HATH THY NOT LET US KNOW SOONER" She raged on with her Canterlot voice. Celestia who keep contempt on holding the young colt prince and staying quiet looked down. The look on her told the maid she was dissapointed, and she felt the full force of Luna's anger.
"I'm sorry miss, but i wanted to get the prince decent before you would arrive, he was not in the best of shape" She explained and tried to stable herself after the night princesses yelling. "What kind of stature was my son in?" Luna asked angrily.
The maid gave a stern look, she was not happy nor even near contempted to laugh over what she had to do to get the colt back like he was "I had to spend several hours straightening his mane and coat. He was all puffy and stiff after being thrown into those dreadful drying machines" The princesses exchanges looks and Celestia began to stroke the little colt gently with her hoof, he just cuddled tightly against her.
Soon in the late evening Luna was walking with her son on her back, she looked rather grim and the guards evaded her gaze and kept rather in a good distance off.
She entered a room and a blue stallion who had a yellow blue mane looked at the princess, he straigtened his glasses and looked at her "How is he doing Princess?" The stallion asked "He's doing fine Patroneigh, just a little shook up" She explained and placed him on a bed and pulled the covers over him, he curled into a ball and whimpered. The stallion known as Patroneigh trotted to the bed and jumped into it and lay down next to the young colt "Dave my young prince do not cry, you have nothing to fear." He tried to sooth the colt.
The prince crawled over to Patroneigh and snuggled against him and Luna watched with a small smile "He cares for you, did you know that" he nodded and chuckled a little "Yes i have become fully aware of that"
The small colt soon fell asleep snuggles against the light blue colored stallion.
Luna looked at them and smiled "I have to tend to some business, can you take care of him while I'm away Patroneigh?" She asked him. He gave a gentle laugh and smiled "Haven't I always done so milady?" She chuckled and nodded "Yes you have Patroneigh yes you have" she exited the room and the stallion looked at the colt.
"Do not fear my prince, Patroneigh's always here" he said softly and soon fell asleep as well.

Chapter 2. Continuem.
Patroneigh woke up the next morning and stirred. He looked to his side and saw that the young colt was still asleep. He smiled and chuckled slightly to himself. He got off the bed silently and tucked the cover over him and the colt shifted slightly and snored silently.
He walked to the door and looked back at the young colt. "Still asleep" He murmured to himself and nodded and adjusted his glasses.
He opened the door and silently closed it as he walked out. He trotted to the dining hall and met with Princess Celestia.
"Good morning Patroneigh" She said softly as she sipped her morning tea. He glanced up at her and smiled "Morning Princess, hope you've had a wonderful morning" She smiled and nodded "I have, but I've been pondering over what to do with my two nephews, it seems there is going to be a rivalry between them." She sighed and shook her head "What am i to do Patroneigh?"
He walked over to her and gave her a comforting smile "We try and work it out. We expected this did we not my dear?" He asked and she nodded. "I always knew something like this would happen, but it still doesn't make this any easier Patroneigh. I don't want either of them getting hurt" She said solemnly as she sipped her tea. A scroll that lay on the table was wrapped in her golden aura of magic and she wrapped it down to read it. "Twilight sent me another letter today" She said with a little chuckle. "Oh what did she have to say this time?" Patroneigh asked as he looked over to her after ordering himself some breakfast. "She was with her friends traveling again to New Appleloosa, It seems there was a bet with the Buffalo that Rainbow Dash lost" Patroneigh looked at her "Rainbow Dash, lost something?" She nodded as he asked "She bid on that she could make a double sonic rainboom" She said and laughed a little "She got blasted off by the force. She hurt herself a little but came out none the less unscathed." Patroneigh nodded and shook his head "That mare will be her own death"
Celestia looked at him and frowned "Oh don't be like that.. How is he anyway?" She asked with concern. "Asleep, and resting.. After what happened yesterday I'm even surprised the colt could stand" Celestia smiled at him "He's a tough colt. Do you remember what happened last week?" She asked with bemusement in her tone "Oh you mean when he accidentally blew the roof with a bolt of lightning?" He asked and she nodded. He gave a soft chuckle "Yes I remember, the palace guards thought we were under attack. And the maids were not happy. But who can blame the little guy he's hitting a difficult phase with the magic and all" Celestia nodded and smiled
+++A few hours later+++
The colt raced down and giggled out of his own hearts contempt as he chased a ball of light. He chased after it and tried to grab it in his hoofs but frowned when he saw he was empty hoofed. He continued to try and catch it with a fiery determination. The guards that were around laughed as they saw the young colt play. A Unicorn guard smirked as his horn continued to glow and he averted the ball of light to one of the un-noticing guards. The colt tackled the ball and it fazed trough, instead he tackled the guard and they both fell down.
The guard grumbled and looked at the colt "Watch were your going kid" He growled and the colt shook his head. The other guards laughed at they're fellow guard pick himself up and dust himself off "What are you all laughing at. Get back to work slouchers" He ordered and the others dispersed.
He looked down at the colt and he smiled at the Guard.
"Hewwo" He said and extended out his hoofs to the stallion "Wanna pway?" He asked in a innocent tone and giggled.
The guard grumbled and pushed him away the colt giving an 'oof' in protest "Sorry kid I'm on patrol maybe some other time" The colt flicked a ear and pouted "Owkay" The guard nodded his head and continued trotting off.
The colt looked around and folded his hoof under his other hoof who went to his chin as he though. 'What to do?' He though to himself. He looked around again to make sure he could notice anything worthy of his attention.
And nothing. Nothing at all. This of course made the young Prince furious, he was bored and demanded attention to be given to him. Sure it may have been a selfish though, but he was a young colt give him a break.
Anyway he trailed over to the corridor and saw a table filled with goods that the maids were serving. He grinned and flapped his little wings and got himself a little bit aloft and hovered over to the table. He picked himself off and picked as many treats as he could with his magic. As he moved on the table he looked at all the things he could grab.
Muffins, waffles, sandwiches, and donuts! Oh how he loved donuts. He drooled a little ad shook himself out of his stupor and grabbed what he could and made a little bag out of a rag that was nearby. as he put everything into the bag and slung it over him as silently as he could, his hoof tipped over a cup and it tilted over and fell on the ground.
The clang earned him a slow look back as he saw the maids with furious looks on them. He gulped and smiled as he ran as fast as he could out of there.
"GET BACK HERE!" Yelled one of the maids as she took off after her. He was in trouble now.
+++Somewhere else at the same time+++
Marilan the maid trotted busily as her horn glowed and she dusted over some of the paintings and counters around. It was just another normal day she thought to herself nothing unusual no sirry. That was until she heard a loud yell by one of the maids. She gasped wondering what was going on.
She decided to trot quickly to the sound and see what was going on. Worried over who might be yelling.
+++Back to the Prince+++
Dave the young Prince ran for his life as he felt the angering flare of the maid behind her. She was a old and cranky mare that had worked here for many years with his aunt. And the worst thing was she hated children. Especially him since he was a little ball of royalty. He panted and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him and flapped his stubby wings in protest, trying to find the skill to get aloft. Alas it failed, so running would have to suffice.
They ran down the corridors and ran into Marilan "What is going on-" She was cut off as she saw Dave run between her and she caught sight of the old yet spry mare as she darted after him. Making Marilan spin and land on her rump with a hoof in the air, a futile effort to try and stop the old maid. "Okay.. Know I know that" She gasped and placed her hoofs on her head "She's after David! I have to stop her!" With that she took after the other two.
They continued on running until Dave saw a little nook that fitted him and his bag just perfectly. He dove in and got to the other side. He looked under and saw the old mare screaming his head off. He stung his tongue at her and blew a raspberry at her "Na na na na" He singed and shook his tail at her and ran off with his treasure.
Marilan caught up with the old mare and breathed heavily "Miss Strict are you okay?" She asked and looked around "Where is the prince?" The old mare Ms Strict growled and kicked her hoof at the marble where the little opening was "In there, he took off with some of the treats we were going to use in a banquet for the royals" Marilan shook her head and sighed "Well it's okay he can have some" Ms Strict glared at the younger mare and she shrunk in her hoofs "Okay? Okay?" She asked bewildered "It is not okay that the little trouble maker gets away with this! Day in and day out I clean after his antics and don't let me remind you about the last week passed" She growled angrily. Marilan of course nodded furiously she couldn't forget the many hours they had to clean the place all because he has a single outburst. Also she didn't want to be on Ms Strict's bad side.
Ms Strict huffed angrily and trotted away "Where are you going?" Marilan asked "I'm going to talk to the Princess I won't have this any longer." Marilan shook her head gently and followed her. She didn't want the old mare to blow a artery.
+++Throne room++
Celestia sat in her royal throne and looked over the daily news and attendances that needed her approval. It was a boring job but she had gotten used to it.
One of the guards outside poked his head trough the rooms doors "Your highness one of your maids requests a hearing from you" Celestia looked from her work and looked at him puzzled "One of my maids you say? Concerning what?" She asked in confusion "She wouldn't say exactly, only that it concerned you your highness" She sighed and nodded "Let her trough" He nodded and allowed Ms Strict to walk in. Behind her in tow was Marilan, she averted her gaze feeling embarrassed.
Celestia raised an eyebrow at her and gave a soft concerning smile "Is everything alright Ms Strict? Not everything to your liking?" She asked and the old maid snorted and shook her head. 'Oh what now' Celestia thought to herself as this maid was known for being very angry most of the times and always against anything if it didn't go to her liking.
"It's that nasty brat you call a nephew" She snorted. This was unusual even for her. Celestia frowned and gave her a cold stare, Strict didn't even flinch and stared back "He is disgracing the castle with his antics! He is ruining all of our hard work to keep it clean for the festivities for tonight. The Filthyriches will be attending tonight and all the other sponsors" Strict shook her head "If you just allow me 5 minutes with him ma'am I will teach the brat some respect" She gave a gleeful smile as she thought of the time she could get her hoofs on the brat and smack his rump until it was as red as a cherry.
Celestia frowned and stood up from her seat "You shall do no such thing. Respect has to be earned not forced. And give him time, he is only young and adventurous" She said with a soft yet strict tone.
Ms Strict shook her head "Sorry ma'am but he's going to far. If I see him again I won't be responsible for what happens" Celestia glared at her but kept her tone soft yet a little bit more strict "I shall talk to him. You on the other hoof are to have a double shift.. You can take Marilan's place and with no extra pay" Marilan looked over to the Princess in disbelief and Strict did as well "But that is unfair!" She yelled "Oh was I not clear enough? Should I perhaps triple the shift?" Strict shook her head and stuttered "No ma'am please.. I'll take the double shift" She trotted out of the Throne room and glared at Marilan who flinched away. Strict closed the door and the deafening boom of the large doors boomed over the room.
Celestia sighed and lay down and placed her hoofs on her temples and rubbed them "What am I suppose to do?" She asked herself and groaned.
Marilan looked over to her and trotted to her and placed a gentle hoof on the Princess's shoulder "Well.. I can't say much.. But we might have to endure.. And the staff needs some time to get used to him. With time he'll grow into a fine prince" Celestia opened her eyes and looked at her and sighed and nodded softly "I guess your right Ms Marilan.. Would you care to accompany me to my nephew.. I have a good idea where he is" Marilan nodded and smiled at the Princess as she stood up and they left the room.
+++Sometime later+++
They came to the door of a playroom and they heard giggling on the other side and small flashes of lights in different colors. He was in there alright.
They opened the door and saw David playing with his toys and a cloth spread out with different banquets laid on top of it.
Dave looked over as he heard the door open and smiled and giggled "Hewwo auwnty hewwo Mawiwan" He giggled as he continued to play with his toys.
They walked inside and sat down next to him "David" Celestia began as she looked over to his messy face after eating donuts no doubt. He looked up at her and frowned "I just got something to eat" He said as he pointed to the rag "I was hungwy" He looked at his aunt with eyes as wide as saucers "Dwid i do somethwing wrong?" He asked innocently.
Celestia shook her head "No, but you might want to ask for permission next time. It's not nice to take things when you know your not suppose to" he nodded and still looked at her "Miss Stwict came after me. I ran.. 'cause she scawy" he said as he sniffled a little. Marilan took out a clot and started to clean his muzzle. After that was done he nuzzled and hugged Celestia's leg and whimpered "Aw you mad at me?" He asked as he looked at her. She shook her head and reached down to nuzzle him "No I'm lost David.. Just a little lost on what to do" With a sigh she nuzzled him and he giggled a bit and clung to her muzzle. She smiled and hoisted him up and snorted gently into his tummy making him giggles and squirm "Stowp that twickles" He exclaimed as he squirmed. She continued and laughed "Oh does it now" She pinned him to the ground with her muzzle and blew raspberries into his stomach and he squirmed as she attacked him with ticklish meanings. He flailed and tried to push her off but he couldn't he laughed out and yelled in laughter "Stowp aunty stowp!!" he yelled "I give up I give up" he yelled again trough his laughter and finally the attacks subsided and he panted "Good" Celestia giggles and nuzzled him once again and smiled.
Marilan looked at them and took out a comp and started to comp Dave's mane he murred happily, he loved the sensation of a comp running trough his scull and mane.
Celestia looked at them and shook her head "What am I to do with you?" She asked David and poked a hoof at his shoulder. he just blew a raspberry at her playfully. Earning another tickle attack from her and Marilan yelling and joining in on the attack. The corridors were filled of laughter and screams of the playful nature.
