I <3 Rainbow Dash

Jonezy was a Unicorn. He lived on the outskirts of Ponyville. Alone. There was once a time in Jonezy’s life when everything was full of wonder. Like when he got his Cutie Mark, he had just scored a goal while playing soccer. He was so happy, with his parents and friends cheering him on, his flank flashed and there it was, his Cutie Mark. It was a red and black soccer ball. Nothing too special, but at the time it meant the world to him. Now he was a lonely young stallion. He only left his house to buy supplies every few weeks. All his friends had given up on him. Pinkie Pie held out the longest, but even a few months ago she had quit. Jonezy preferred it that way, at least now he wouldn’t have to go to her parties. They were fun…but overall awkward for Jonezy. He was an outcast. He’d almost gone mad after his dad died. It happened just a few weeks after he’d gotten his Cutie Mark. His dad died in a train crash on his way to Manehatten for a business trip. Jonezy didn’t quite understand that his father was gone. He would ask his mother,“When is Dad coming home from his trip?” Itwasn’t until he was about 10 that he understood why his mother would trot off to her room to cry after hearing this. His father was dead. Jonezy didn’t talk for weeks after the realization. He woke up, went to school, came home, did his homework, and went to bed. His life became full of sorrow. It wasn’t until he met a pony named Pinkamena Diane Pie, or Pinkie Pie, for short, that his life would start up again.

Jonezy had years of fun with Pinkie. They became best friends. They cheered eachother up, they were there for eachother, and they became as close as brother and sister.

But a few months after Jonezy turned 19, his mom died. She had some tough years without Jonezy’s dad and the pain finally got to her. She just gave up and died. Jonezy was torn apart. He began to hide from everypony. This is when he became an outcast to most ponies. Even Pinkie Pie tried to cheer him up. But to no avail. Pinkie’s love for her bestfriend wasn’t enough to bring him out of depression. He still participated in local events, he was just quieter. A year passed and he became more distant. Ponies lost hope for him. But enough about the past, lets get to the real story.

Jonezy got out of bed. He picked up his brush, with magic of course, and brushed his mane. He stared in the mirror. His blue eyes were long drained of life.

His light black fur blended nicely with the dark interior of his house. His messy mane, dark red and white, sat on his head. His tail, the same colors, was shot and curved. He began to prepare breakfast. As he opened cupboards looking for ingredients for oatmeal he saw a box.

“Pinkie and Jonezy’s Cupcakes in a Box!” covered the front in big, bright letters. Jonezy remembered those. Him and Pinkie had tried a Get-Rich-Quick scheme, and although it failed it was still very fun. Jonezy smiled at the memory. He shut the cupboard and “grabbed” his saddle bag. He walked out the door and flinched as he adjusted to the bright light. He walked calmly down the street. Ponies looked at him in an odd way. He heard whispering like, “What’s he doing out here this time of morning,” and “He looks so out of place.” Jonezy ignored it all and kept walking. He knew where he was going.

Jonezy arrived at Sugar Cube Corner. He hadn’t been here in a while. He entered the building to find ponies chatting and enjoying delicious treats. Almost everypony inside stopped talking when they realized who had just walked in, they started whispering to each other. Again Jonezy heard things like, “What’s he doing here,” or “ You don’t think he’s here to see her do you,” and even “He looks terrible.” Jonezy kept walking and scanning the groups of ponies for who he was looking for.

Then suddenly a pony came bursting out of the kitchen. “Why’d everypony get so quiet? Is there something-,” her sentence ended suddenly as she looked at who they were all staring at.

She stood in place for a full minute, just staring at him, her mouth slightly open. Not a single pony dared talk.

“Jonezy,” Pinkie finally whispered.

“Jonezy! Its you!” She screamed. She began to jump up and down wildly, screaming his name.

She pounced on Jonezy, still shouting. She began asking several questions.

“Why are you here?” “Are you hungry?” What kind of cupcake do you want?” Do you want sprinkles?”

“Pinkie,” Jonezy said.

“Oh I knew you’d come back,” she shouted over him, still hugging him.

“Pinkie,” Jonezy said, a bit more annoyed.

“C’mon lets party,” she shouted, still hugging him tighter.

“Pinkie,” Jonezy shouted.

This time he got her attention. She let go of him and backed up, looking sad.

He could see he had hurt her, and that hurt him even more.

“I’m sorry Pinkie,” he said. He began to explain the events of the morning and why he had come here.

”Oatmeal,” Pinkie said, “Are you serious? I have to get you some real food! I’ll be right back!” and with that, she dashed off into the kitchen. Jonezy smiled. Then he felt embarrassed. He had just noticed that nopony had stopped looking at him. They all slowly began to continue their deserts and conversations.  Jonezy waited patiently for his bestfriend to return with a cupcake.

Jonezy and Pinkie spent the rest of the morning eating cupcakes, talking about old memories, and catching up. At about noon Pinkie came up with the idea that Jonezy should meet her other friends.

Jonezy didn’t feel very comfortable about this, but knowing Pinkie wouldn’t take “no” for an answer, he agreed.

Jonezy followed Pinkie to the library, listening to her laugh and sing all the way there. When they got there Pinkie said “Wait here,” and she burst in. “Twilight you have to meet Jonezy!” Pinkie exclaimied.

“Pinkie Pie, I have to study right now. Can this wait?” a familiar sounding mare asked. Jonezy felt embarrassed that Pinkie was interrupting a mare’s studies for him. After a few minutes of bickering, the mare gave in. Pinkie pulled Jonezy into the library. “Um…Hi. I’m Jonezy. You seem familiar, have we met?” Jonezy asked.

“I’m Twilight Sparkle,” the mare said awkwardly.

“You’re the mare that saved us from Nightmare Moon and Discord. Oh and Chrysallis!” Jonezy exclaimed.

“I couldn’t have done it without the help of my friends,” she said, looking at Pinkie.

Jonezy felt a bit embarrassed again. He then met Spike, who was surprisingly cool for a baby dragon.

Next was Apple Jack and the rest of her family.

Jonezy remembered AJ. She once bet that she could beat him in a game of soccer. She lost, of course, and gave him a free basket of apples. He spent a few minutes catching up with AJ and he and Pinkie went on their way.

Next they met Rarity. Jonezy didn’t have fond memories of Rarity. Once when he was a young pony, he gave her a box of chocolate for Hearts and Hooves Day. She refused it in an overdramatic scene, claiming that such a dull gift wasn’t good enough for her. Then his friend Jake, a pony obsessed with invention, gave her a highly decorated box of candy. Jonezy wasn’t hurt by Jake, he knew his friend didn’t mean to show him up. What hurt was being turned down by his crush.

“Hello Pinkie,” Rarity said. “And who is this,” she paused and observed Jonezy more closely, “fine looking stallion?”

“This is Jonezy!” Pinkie shouted happily. “Remember? He was in our class when we were in school. He’s been a close friend to me ever since.” She said happily. Close friends? Jonezy though, I haven’t talked to her in months. But that was why Jonezy and Pinkie were so close. They never gave up on their friendship. Jonezy spent some time letting Rarity get to know him. It seemed all the years he’d known her she hadn’t paid any attention to him. Maybe it was his saddle bag that she liked.

Next Pinkie took him to a small cottage outside of town.

Outside was a Pegasus…talking to animals. When they approached, Pinkie yelled, “Hi, Fluttershy!”

Fluttershy bolted and hid behind a tree.

She slowly came out and looked at Pinkie and Jonezy.

“Oh, hi Pinkie Pie. You startled me.” Fluttershy said in a low voice.

“This is Jonezy.” Pinkie said.

“Hi.” Jonezy said quietly.

Jonezy remembered Fluttershy. She was a shy pony. She never really spent much time in Cloudsdale. Jonezy met her at one of Pinkie’s parties right after his mom died. They got along great because they were both so quiet. They sat in the corner and talked quietly most of the time then torwards the end, Pinkie came and got Jonezy to dance with him. He hadn’t really talked to Fluttershy since.

“Oh, I remember Jonezy from one of your parties.” Fluttershy said, blushing.

Jonezy and Fluttershy caught up and talked for a few minutes and then he was off again.

“Bye guys…” Fluttershy whispered as they walked away. She was still blushing.

By now it was about 3 o’clock. Meeting with Pinkie’s friends hadn’t taken as long as Jonezy expected. But he wasn’t in store for what was next.

“Just one more and then we can go do other stuff.” Pinkie said cheerfully.

“Okay Pinkie,” Jonezy began, “I’m really glad I-“ Jonezy’s sentence was cut off as he was knocked to the ground by a flash of flying color.

“Oops, sorry,” a mare said.

“Dashie,” Pinkie shouted, “you knocked over Jonezy!”

“Sorry! I was trying to come find you. We had a pet play date planned. Remember?”

“Oh gosh! I totally forgot! I’ve been introducing Jonezy to the girls”

Jonezy finally got back up and opened his eyes. His head throbbed with pain, but he soon forgot about the pain when he saw the beauty that floated in front of him. Rainbow Dash. The coolest (and most beautiful in Jonezy’s opinion) pony in Equestria.

Rainbow Dash finally looked at Jonezy. They became lost in each other’s eyes .

Finally, after a long silence, Pinkie said, “Um, Dashie, this is Jonezy. Jonezy, this is Dashie.”

“Hi,” Jonezy said quietly, still lost in the mare’s eyes.

“Hey,” Rainbow Dash replied.

They began talking. Rainbow Dash remembered Jonezy. She once watched him play a game of soccer against Apple Jack. She admired how he never quit, even when AJ apple bucked a ball into the goal. He kept pushing on until he won. She began to have a crush on him. She never really talked to him though. She heard Pinkie talk about him now and then. But that had all stopped a few months ago. Seeing him again made her feel odd. She was lost in his eyes and speechless. She finally asked, “You were the pony who beat AJ in that soccer game weren’t you?” Even though she already knew the answer, she wanted to make conversation.

“Yes,” he said, looking somewhat proud.

Before Rainbow Dash could think of a reply Pinkie said, “Well, it’s been nice seeing you Jonezy. Come to Sugar Cube Corner tomorrow again and we can hang out.”

“Okay,” Jonezy replied, “It’s been fun. Bye Pinkie.” He hesitated.

Rainbow Dash’s heart skipped a beat. Would he address her?

“Bye Rainbow Dash.” He said

“Bye,” she said smiling and blushing.

She watched Jonezy walk away for a few seconds then headed for Sugar Cube Corner with Pinkie.

As Jonezy walked home he smiled like he hadn’t in a long time. His heart raced and thoughts crowded his brain. He thought of how much he liked Rainbow Dash. He had always had a crush on her. He saw her once while he was playing soccer. He was too shy to go talk to her though. He had seen her since then at some of Pinkie’s parties. He never really talked to her though. He was so lost in thought that he bumped into somepony.

“How dare you-“the mare’s sentence was cut off as she realized who she was talking to.

“Oh hello Jonezy,” Rarity said in her most polite voice.

“Hello.” Jonezy said half heartedly. He was still lost in thought to some extent.

“You’re looking very charming today,” Rarity said, batting her eyelashes.

“Um,” Jonezy began, “Right back at ya.”

He could see this made Rarity feel a bit embarrassed. She blushed a bit.

“Well I better be getting home. Its late.” Jonezy said.

“Oh, but its only three thirty,” Rarity said, “can’t you come over for a bite to eat?”

“No I really must be going.” Jonezy said as he began to walk away.

“Oh, well,” Rarity said, “see you later.”

From that point on, Jonezy’s life continued to get better.  He had a routine. He would spend his mornings with Pinkie, around noon he’d meet up with Rainbow Dash somewhere and they’d hang out until four o’clock. After that he’d either hang out with Pinkie and the group or go home.

Fluttershy was sitting behind a bush, watching a little squirrel run around. She was so into watching the little critter that she didn’t hear two ponies approach.

She was a bit startled when the ponies started talking to each other. It was obvious they didn’t know she was there. She quietly flew up and hid it the leaves of the tree next to the bush.

“Rainbow Dash, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something.”

Fluttershy remembered that sweet voice. It was Jonezy. She peered out of the leaves and saw the two ponies down below. They were looking at eachother.

“What is it?” Rainbow Dash asked.

Fluttershy could see they were staring deep into each other’s eyes. She saw how calm they looked, how comfortable they appeared together. She became jealous for a split second, but then the feeling subsided.  She saw how happy they were and let out a small whimper and flew away quickly, crying. She cared for Jonezy and wanted him to be happy, even if it was with somepony else.

Jonezy and Rainbow Dash were both startled when they heard the sudden movement of the leaves.

“What was that?” Jonezy asked.

“ Probably just a critter. Now what were you saying?” Rainbow Dash replied.

Jonezy became nervous. He looked Rainbow Dash in the eyes. They had been hanging out for a few weeks now and Jonezy’s affection for her had grown.

“Well, Hearts and Hooves Day is coming up and I was wondering if you’d…” Jonezy trailed off, both from nervousness and being lost in Rainbow Dash’s eyes.

Rainbow Dash had a shocked look on her face. She continued to stare deep into Jonezy’s eyes.

Jonezy’s heart raced.

“Will you be my very special somepony?” Jonezy asked.

“Yes,” Rainbow Dash answered without hesitation. They were both blushing crazily as she rushed in and kissed him on the cheek.

“This calls for a party!” Pinkie screamed.

Rainbow Dash had just told Pinkie the events in the park with Jonezy.

“We can eat cupcakes with heart sprinkles,” continued Pinkie, “and heart shaped cakes! This is going to be the best party ever!”

Rainbow Dash smiled. She felt so happy.

“Let’s go see if Rarity can make you an awesome dress for this awesome party!” Pinkie Pie said.

“Oh, no that’s okay. We shouldn’t bother Rarity with work this close to Hearts and Hooves Day.” Rainbow Dash said. She didn’t want to say anything but she knew Rarity had a bit of a crush on Jonezy and she didn’t want Rarity to be jealous.

“Oh come on, Dashie! She won’t mind.” Pinkie insisted.

“Pinkie-“ Rainbow Dash started.

“Come on! Let’s go!” Pinkie said.

Realizing it was impossible to argue with Pinkie, Rainbow Dash finally gave in,

“Fine, let’s go.”

Rarity was in the middle of making dinner when Pinkie and Rainbow Dash burst in.

“Hi Rarity,” Pinkie Pie blurted, “can you make Dashie a dress for Hearts and Hooves day? She has a very special somepony and we’re throwing a party!”

“Oh Rainbow Dash I’m so excited. You must tell me who this nice stallion is.” Rarity said.

Rarity could see that Rainbow Dash was nervous. By the look on Rainbow Dash’s face, Rarity already had a good idea of who it was before Pinkie blurted it.

“It’s Jonezy!” Pinkie shouted. Pinkie’s smile was very wide.

“Oh,” Rarity said, “how…nice.”

Why would Jonezy pick such a wild mare like Rainbow Dash over such a well mannered mare like me?

Rarity wondered.

“I don’t really need a dress,” Rainbow Dash said, “Pinkie just insisted that we come here.”

Rarity was outraged by this news, but she saw how happy Pinkie was and how much Rainbow Dash was blushing. She decided it was for the best that Dashie and Jonezy were together.

“Well,” Rarity began, “even if you don’t want a dress, thanks for letting me know about this.”

“So…you’re not upset at me?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Absolutely not, I’m very happy for you, Rainbow Dash.” Rarity said.

So they all talked about how Jonezy asked Dashie to be his special somepony for a few minutes and then Rainbow Dash and Pinkie left.

Rarity finished her dinner then went to bed early.

Jonezy was sitting on his bed. It was around 9 o’clock but Jonezy couldn’t sleep. It had been a few weeks since Pinkie introduced him to Rainbow Dash and now she was his very special somepony. His heart raced as he thought about her. He’d never actually had a very special somepony before. The only mare that was ever really close to him other than his mother was Pinkie. This was a new feeling and experience for him. Even with his mind racing, sleep finally took hold of him. He drifted off into his dreams.

Two Days Later

Jonezy was very nervous. He was on his way to the park to hang out with Rainbow Dash. Today was Hearts and Hooves Day and Jonezy had to do something special. When he finally arrived at the park Rainbow Dash was waiting on him.

“Hi.” Rainbow Dash said excitedly.

“Hey.” Jonezy replied.

“So,” Dashie said, “what do you have planned?”

Jonezy could tell she was acting different. She seemed…nervous. Jonezy understood. He was extremely nervous. “You’ll see,” Jonezy said as he retrieved a rose from his saddle bag using magic. He placed the rose in Dashie’s beautiful hair. Rainbow Dash began blushing wildly. After a bit of walking, they arrived at Sugar Cube Corner where Pinkie had prepared a big, heart shaped cake with dozens of cupcakes. They ate cake and partied with their friends for about an hour. After that they went and watched a Wonderbolt race. Rainbow Dash truly showed her aggressive side as she cheered. Jonezy loved it. After the race it was about noon. They went for a walk in the park. They found a nice spot and sat down in the grass. They got very close. Jonezy was a bit taller than Rainbow Dash so it made it extremely easy to cuddle. They just sat there for a while. The finally Rainbow Das said, “I’ve…never felt this way before.”

“Me either.” Jonezy said.

They looked at each other, slowly closed their eyes, and leaned in.

Rainbow Dash’s heart exploded. Twice.  She had just kissed the stallion of her dreams. She was blushing like crazy. She could see that Jonezy was blushing and smiling. They were both speechless. They continued to sit and occasionally talk or flirt until three o’clock. Then they went to hang out with friends. Rainbow Dash’s heart was still beating rapidly when she left the park. She was the happiest mare in Equestria.

Two Weeks Later

Rainbow Dash was having fun racing with Spitfire and the rest of the Wonderbolts. She was tied for the lead with Spitfire as they were on their last lap. She was about to perform a Sonic Rainboom to get ahead when a sudden, evil laughter filled the air. Dashie stopped flying suddenly and froze with terror. Spitfire stopped beside her and the rest of the Wonderbolts flew into them. Dashie realized that laugh, it was Discord. Suddenly he appeared; he was giant, about 20 hooves (feet) tall. He was holding somepony though. As Dashie looked closer she realized Discord was holding Jonezy.

“Hello, Rainbow Dash.” Discord said.

“Put him down!” Rainbow Dash screamed. She flew at Discord but to no avail. There was a puff of smoke and she was back at where she started.

“Now, now, Rainbow Dash, as long as you stay calm, everypony will be fine.” Discord said.

“What do you want?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Your Element of Harmony.” Discord said, as an evil smile crossed his face.

“Rainbow Dash, don’t listen to him!” Jonezy screamed.

Discord laughed. “Pipe down my little pony.”

Rainbow Dash flew at Discord again. This time he smacked her down. She fell past the cloud race track. She was falling to the ground, unconscious.

“Somepony do something!” Jonezy screamed.

Spitfire directed the Wonderbolts to attack Discord. She flew down after Rainbow Dash.

Discord smacked all of the Wonderbolts away and threw Jonezy towards the ground. Spitfire caught Rainbow Dash; the sudden jerk woke her up. She saw Jonezy falling to the ground.

“No!” She shouted as she flew towards Jonezy.

She could tell she wasn’t going to get to him in time. Jonezy was right about to hit the ground when-

“Ah!” Rainbow Dash screamed as she awoke from her nightmare. She looked at her clock. It was one o’clock in the morning. She was breathing very fast but gave a sigh of relief as she realized she’d been dreaming. She sat up. She’d been busy since Hearts and Hooves Day and only got to see Jonezy one day after. She missed him very much. She rushed to go see him.

Jonezy was startled when he heard tapping at his window. He went over and opened it. Rainbow Dash rushed in and tackled him to the ground. She kissed him on both of his cheek then leapt up and hovered.

Jonezy was fully awake. “What are you doing here?” he asked. He was blushing. Jonezy sat and listened as Dashie told him about her nightmare and how much she missed him. “I missed you too,” Jonezy said, “but it’s dark outside and I don’t want you going back out. You can stay here.” Rainbow Dash smiled and flew to Jonezy’s bed.  “That’s my bed. Where am I going to sleep?” Jonezy asked. Rainbow Dash patted her hoof on the spot next to her. “Well you’re going to sleep here of course.” Jonezy very slowly got into the bed. He cuddled with Dashie. Using magic, he pulled the blanket over them. “Hey, Rainbow Dash?” Jonezy asked.

“Yeah?” she responded.

Jonezy paused.

“I love you.” He finally said. He could tell this caught Rainbow Dash off guard.

“I love you too,” she finally said back. Jonezy smiled and closed his eyes. They both drifted off into sleep.

One Week Later

Jonezy woke up. He saw Rainbow Dash’s beautiful face, still sleeping, as she usually was when he woke up. She had been living with him for a week. They were both very happy. Jonezy got up. He walked into his kitchen and began preparing pancakes. It wasn’t long before he heard Rainbow Dash getting out of bed. Rainbow Dash rushed into the room. “Pancakes? Aw yeah!” she said. After they ate breakfast they decided to go for a walk. On their “walk” Rainbow Dash was flying around Jonezy, excitingly telling him about a dream she had. Jonezy just listened and smiled. He was the happiest he’d ever been. Soon they saw a crowd of ponies. “What’s everypony looking at?” Rainbow Dash asked as she flew over. Jonezy ran over and tried to get a good view. “…and for her next trick, the Great and Powerful Trixie will make this deck of cards disappear!” Jonezy remembered Trixie. She was a very annoying phony. He sat next to Dashie in the crowd and watched the rest of the show, which was ended once the crowd started booing. “Wait right here.”Rainbow Dash said as she flew off to talk to somepony. Jonezy sat where he was. Then he heard Trixie say something, “The Great and Powerful Trixie will have her revenge. These ponies wouldn’t know talent if it came up and bit them on the flank. I’ll show all of them. I’ll cause so much trouble they’ll be sorry that they ever insulted me.”

Jonezy didn’t quite know how to react to that, but knowing how bad Trixie’s magic was he didn’t think anything of it.

The routine of the day from that point was pretty much the same. Jonezy and Rainbow Dash visited a friend then went their separate ways and met back up at home.

The next day, Rarity gathered the girls and Jonezy to try on a new line of clothing she was making. She passed out the clothes to the girls and went to retrieve the outfit Jonezy was to try on. While she was getting it however, she heard laughter from behind her. Just as she turned around, somepony hit her in the face with a frying pan.

All the girls had gone to try out the clothes and Jonezy stood alone in the main room waiting for Rarity. Finally she came out, but empty hooved.  “Where are the clothes?” Jonezy asked. Rarity rushed towards him and kissed him. “Rarity I can’t try on these clothes, they’re too big…” Rainbow Dash said as she was entering the room. “What the hay is going on here!?” Rainbow Dash demanded. Jonezy quickly backed away, shocked. The everypony else rushed into the room. “Rainbow Dash, what’s wrong?” Twilight asked. Rainbow Dash flew towards Rarity and tackled her. “Rainbow Dash, stop!” Jonezy yelled.

Rainbow Dash quickly turned to Jonezy. “Why were you kissing her!?” she demanded. The girls gasped. “She kissed me!” Jonezy yelled. Rainbow Dash started to say something, but then her eyes began to tear up. She flew out the door. “Rainbow Dash, wait!” Jonezy pleaded as he chased after her. When he got outside he stopped. It was useless to chase her on foot. When Jonezy walked back inside he was met with screaming. He was just about to be pounced on by the ponies when Trixie’s spell wore off and her Rarity disguise fizzled away. Everypony gasped. “Trixie!” they all said simultaneously. They soon discovered that Trixie had snuck in to Rarity’s and knocked her out with a frying pan. “I have to go find her.” Jonezy said. He rushed out. After hours of searching he finally found her near the house, sobbing into a storm cloud. “Rainbow Dash please let me explain.” He said when he approached. Rainbow Dash jumped on the cloud, shooting a lightning bolt that barely missed Jonezy. “No,” Rainbow Dash said, “Stay away from me!” Unable to do anything, Jonezy watched her fly away.

The next few weeks were miserable for Jonezy. He stayed in bed all day, every day. Pinkie Pie came by everyday but it did little to cheer him up. Jonezy couldn’t forgive himself for being caught off guard like that, but what hurt him the most was knowing that somewhere out there, the mare he loved was mad at him and thought he wasn’t loyal. He knew she was probably in Cloudsdale where he couldn’t get to her. He just gave up.

One day there was a knock at his door. He didn’t bother to get up. It probably wasn’t important anyways. The knocking got louder. He still didn’t answer. Finally, he heard his door burst open. He didn’t care, whatever was about to happen didn’t matter. “Jonezy, where are you?” Rainbow Dash said. Jonezy shot up. He rushed into the main room. He saw Rainbow Dash. His beautiful Rainbow Dash. “Fluttershy found me in Cloudsdale. Twilight cast a spell that let her and the girls walk on the clouds. They explained everything that happened. I’m so sorry that I didn’t let you explain. I love you.” She said. He rushed to her and kissed her and hugged her. “I love you Rainbow Dash.” He said.

Months went by and their love continued to grow. They celebrated Jonezy’s 21st birthday and soon after Dashie’s 22nd birthday. They had romantic dates and fun with their friends. They were young and in love. They were happier than they’d ever been.

Jonezy was out for a walk. Rainbow Dash and the others had gone to the Crystal Empire under order of Celestia. Jonezy was not allowed to come along for no readily apparent reason. All of them going to the Crystal Empire made Jonezy realize that he didn’t have many friends. He set out to make some new ones. He met a strange Pegasus named Derpy Hooves. He was walking today in hopes that he would find her floating around Ponyville somewhere. After thirty minutes of walking they literally bumped into each other. Derpy was flying backwards and ran Jonezy over. “Oops! Sorry Jonezy.” She said.

“It’s okay,” Jonezy said as he rubbed his head, “how are you Derpy?” “Um…I think I’m good,” she said, “want a muffin?” Derpy held out a muffin for Jonezy. Jonezy took the muffin and took a bite. It wasn’t as good as Pinkie Pie’s cupcakes, but it didn’t taste terrible. “Thanks Derpy.” He said. Just then a stange stallion approached. “Ditzy, we need to get back to the T.A.R.D.I.S.!”  Derpy and the stallion ran away in a hurry. “What was that about?” Jonezy asked aloud.

Rainbow Dash got off the train. She had been in the Crystal Empire and she just got back. She waved goodbye to her friends and flew off to find Jonezy. After a while of searching, she found him. She flew at him and tackled him to the ground. She began hugging him. “I missed you.” She said.

“I missed you too.” Jonezy said. Finally after a lot of hugging, they got up and raced home. Rainbow Dash won of course. They spent the rest of the day talking about Rainbow Dash’s trip. After that they went to sleep.

Two weeks later

Rainbow Dash walked into the house. She had just woken up from a nap and decided it was time to go home. She walked in the house and saw Jonezy, standing there, looking nervous.

Rainbow Dash went over to him. “What are you hiding?” she asked.

“Nothing…”he said.

“I know you’re lying.” She said. She could tell he was getting nervous. She was just about to ask him again when he said, “Rainbow Dash, these four months have been the happiest months on my life. I love you and I want to feel like this forever,” as he said this he retrieved a ring. Rainbow Dash’s heart skipped a beat as she saw the ring. “Will you marry me?” Jonezy asked. Rainbow Dash was shocked. She never planned on being tied down and she never expected anypony to want to marry her. She looked into Jonezy’s eyes. She loved him. “Yes,” she said, “I love you.”
