Twilight's personality traits balance each other out. Her obsession with studying is reduced by her friendships, and she has acted illogically to keep these friendships. But what if Twilight were to be split into several beings? Each aspect of her personality is good in moderation, but extremes can be… dangerous.

Twilight looked at the crystal in awe. It was one of the most amazing magical objects she had ever seen. It shimmered faintly in the starlight. It was a dodecahedron, and as far as she could see, perfectly regular. At first she thought it was white, but now she saw it was, in fact, every color of the rainbow combined. The distinction was, at the edges, she could see individual colors. She reached out tentatively, and touched it. As she did, a flash of energy so bright she could see her bones in her leg exploded into her eyes, and then seemed to go inside her in some way other than physical.
