(Alright, bear with me, people. I initially got the idea, thinking that the bandaged pony from Read it and Weep was colored like Daring Do. When I realized this was not the case, I recolored her. And then realized she was wingless. Just read the Alternate Universe tag, and you'll understand…)

Stuck in the hospital after an adventure, Daring Do is awoken by a pink pony pulling back her curtain and a cyan coated, rainbow maned mare staring at her boredly.

Chapter 1

It was another day for the light tan coated Pegasus mare, otherwise known as Daring Do, as she lay in the hospital bed of Ponyville General Hospital.

Covered in bandages, sporting a large nose splint, and having her wings taped to her sides, Daring Do sighed quietly within her own mind.

This was no way for an adventuring pony like herself to live- stuck in a hospital bed. Luckily for her, however, the healing process was nearly complete. Just a day or two more, and she'd be back out in the world.

But no longer adventuring.

No, for the tan Pegasus pony, adventuring had come to an end. She was fed up with looting ancient ruins, only to be forced to give up her belongings in exchange for her life, "because they belonged in a museum", or in order to keep from going to jail.
