Entry1: Departure

Hello, hello! This is my first journal entry ever, so please forgive me for my shortcomings… I’m not really sure how to begin this... I guess I’ll just begin with the basic stuff.

My name is Artemus Epsilon. I’m about nineteen years old and I’m going to be a Guardian. In the world Nexus, I’m only in training to be a Guardian. Someday soon, I’ll be the magic expert on some lucky team. …That is, right after I pass my final exam…

The exam is just a special way of saying you must pass to be a Guardian—no exceptions. It’s the last step of my training and from there, I’ll be put on a team and put to work.

Not that I don’t love this neat little book, but I’m only using this because it’s popular for Guardians to keep journals instead of writing reports at the end of their missions. It’s just easier to keep all the mission information compiled in one little book.

As of tomorrow, my exam begins. I’m actually kinda happy with this. I’m not thrilled about the exam, but I’m really happy about the world I’m going to, and there’s a good reason for that.

I’m what’s called a Stargazer. It’s just another way of saying that I’m too curious for my own good. My personal fixation is on the Myriad Worlds of the Stars, including the one I’m going to.

I’m going to a very special world for magic experts like me. It’s really amazing since the only Guardians there are native to the world. It’s practically the magic capital of all the worlds for the number of magicians there.

The world I’m going to is called Equestria.
