Hunter In Equestria
Chapter 1
Hi I'm Jack. Now with the introductions over let's get to business. Anyways let's get this straight I've had some fucked up moments in my life. Trust me I have the medical records to prove it. But that really doesn't matter. What does matter is that I'm in the most fucked up predicament of my life. I will just tell you the facts leading up to the problem. I was driving out to a hunting lodge in Michigan. My friend owns the place, and to say it's a nice lodge is an understatement. I Met him In college at Northwestern University in Chicago Illinois. I met him when I was going to my room. First thing I saw was him setting up a damn Packers poster. People will say that they are a good team, but honestly we are rivals, and we will never admit that. That’s when I realized I was rooming with this asshole. That asshole's name was Ryan. But long story short we became the friends. After graduation he left to go work for a small company back in Michigan. I on the other hand already had a job at Chicago Mercantile Exchange. I would conference with a representative from there about three times before I actually graduated. Then two weeks before graduation I was told that I had a job opportunity there. It was high paying, and I took it. Now for the more recent events. First off I got dumped by my girlfriend. I wanted to break up with her sooner, but I never had the heart to do that. Because well she was to put it simply a bitch when it came to arguments, and I knew I was in a world of hurt if I told her I wanted to end the relationship. So now I'm a free man, and with my liberty I decide to have our little meeting earlier than normal. Whenever I come over to his lodge he would close it for the weekend for us to go hunting. I also forget to mention we were gun fanatics. We are always responsible with the guns (we aren’t rednecks for Christ's sake). It was Elk season here, and we had a little competition going on who can get a better sized elk. Now I arrived at the lodge. He was there to greet me, but thanks to the damn traffic I was late, and I was too tired to go hunting. We decided to go to sleep, and wake up early tomorrow to go hunting. Thing is I woke up to my friend shaking me awake, and after cursing at him. I start to grasp what he was saying. I simply said he was crazy. He was talking about a giant, transparent bear. I called bullshit on it, and next thing I know is he is forcing me outside to get a look at The biggest fucking animal I have seen in my entire life. Now the scenery wasn't any different. Except that there was snow on the damn ground in AUGUST. That is when I see the giant fucking bear walking in circles around the lodge. The first fucking thing I do is run out of the room with my Ar-15 with .458 socom rounds in my hand. I reach the lobby, and take a peak outside to see the bear still circling the lodge. That's when Ryan runs down the stairs hauling ass with his M&P10 in hand. I realized that when its back was to us we had a clear shot at the back of its neck. That’s when I come up with a plan. That will either kill us, or kill that bear. After telling Ryan my plan. He shockingly agrees to my suicidal plan. I started to open the front door slowly, and soon we were tip-toeing our way into the cover of a few bushes in front of the lodge. I saw the bear was making its way around, and upon further inspection it appeared to have constellations on its skin. After seeing Ryan raise his gun I decided to do the same. We waited about thirty seconds before its neck was exposed. That’s when the first shot rang out. Followed by about 5 more shots. The bear roared out in pure agony before falling to the ground. That Is when I look around, and see that this wasn't the same forest in which the lodge was located last night. The forest surrounded us in a seemingly perfect circle. It felt as though the trees had eyes and were staring us down. I even saw a group of yellow eyes peer at us from the cover of trees, and as soon as I saw them I pointed my gun in the air, and shot. The noise scared away whatever was there. That’s when Ryan points out a path that could take us out of the forest, or deeper into it. We decide to get into our cars and drive along the path. That is what leads up to the present, as I'm driving through the forest.
Meanwhile At the Library
"okay girls you are probably wondering why you are here?" Twilight's question was answered with a few nods. "Well there have been reports of an Ursa Minor getting closer to Ponyville, and Princess Celestia wants us to inspect the forest for any signs of the Ursa Minor." there were a few gasps from the group. "Twilight can't you just do what you did to the other Ursa Minor when Trixie was here, or am I going to have to kick that oversized bear's flank for you" Replied Rainbow Dash. "Well Rainbow Dash this one from the reports sounds to almost be an adult. The one I moved was a mere baby. This Ursa Minor has also attacked some powerful unicorns who were digging up remains of an ancient temple." Replied Twilight with some worry in her voice. "well than what are we waiting for? Let's go find that Ursa before it hurts somepony else!" Once she finished the sentence she flew out the door, and towards the direction of the EverFree Forest. The rest of the group ran out the door with looks of annoyance, and worry. They are annoyed because she can be to put it simply, stupid. But they are worried about her getting injured, or worse.
