Twilight Sparkle was in one of the best moods of her life today. While reading a book she found out there was a potion that supposedly makes somepony a year younger, Twilight kept bouncing through town, bouncing even more then Pinkie Pie does, and the lavender mare had been out in the town all day buying everything she needed to make the potion. Twilight was beaming and absolutely giddy, but first she thought it would be a good idea to stop all of her bouncing since ponies were starting to stare "Come on Twilight you are bouncing even more then the day you got your cutie mark " Twilight thought to herself, still Twilight could not wait to get home to her little lab she had set up.
So she could start working on the potion, the whole reason she wanted to make the potion is because a few days prior she had found a few grey hairs while brushing her mane from what Twilight had read, it said that the potion takes a few hours to make and it takes at least twenty four hours to kick in, the only problem that Twilight had found in it is that since it would age her down she would have to grow back into the age that she is currently. Twilight did not mind this, all she cared about was being a year
younger though the directions where specific: if one thing went wrong it could age her back more than just a year. If she mixed the ingredients wrong, everything could backfire and age her back even more than she wants to be. Twilight gulped, not wanting to think of the worst case scenario. Twilight had shown the book to her friends, the only one who was as excited as her about it was Rarity, whom she promised if it worked she would make up another batch and give it to the fashionista "Rarity might be a bit of a drama queen but she is my friend and I can agree with her, grey hairs are not fun to have " Twilight giggled knowing Rarity she thought she had a grey hair.
Twilight had finally arrived at the library throwing the door open she started bouncing inside, once in her humble home she closed the door and locking it before going down to her basement. Twilight turned on a lamp she kept on the table in the library so that way she would have some type of lighting when she came back up Twilight happily trotted down to her basement, turning on the lights when she arrived.

Twilight had been sitting in her basement for a few hours after mixing together the ingredients of her potion, hoping it would be done soon, Twilight was now spinning around in her chair "Let’s see if I remember this correctly it said the potion will make some kind of noise when it is ready" Twilight said aloud "I wonder what kind of noise it will be?" just as Twilight said that, a loud whining came from the potion. When Twilight looked she saw it was now a pink color "I do not remember it saying that this would make it pink." Twilight shrugged knowing she had read the instructions carefully so she would not mess anything up
“Alright let’s get this over with” Twilight said as she went over the table to look at the potion “Alright Twilight you can do this” Twilight then levitated the vial and drank the pink liquid inside of it. She began to cough “Wow that has a punch to it.” Twilight said with her coughing fit coming to a slow halt “Well the book said it takes twenty four hours to kick in so I have time to kill.”
Twilight trotted back upstairs, leaving her basement, after turning the light off and closing the door the lavender mare looked at her home trying to think of something she could do “Alright so let’s think. I already had dinner so now I need to find something to do.” Twilight taped her hoof on her chin “I could always read a Daring Doo book.” Twilight walked over to one of her many bookshelves, levitating a daring doo from its shelf, smiling as she went up to her bedroom. Twilight turned her bedside lamp on. She made herself comfortable before opening her book. Twilight began reading; it had become a ritual for Twilight to read at least half of a book before she went to sleep.

Twilight had awoke the next day under her bed sheets “Why is my head hurting ” she thought to herself. Twilight kept trying to make her way through the blankets so she could see if the potion she made worked as Twilight kept squirming through her sheets she heard a very familiar giggle.
Twilight immediately knew who giggled, as her head popped out of her blankets she noticed everything looked much bigger than normal yet Twilight felt like she had more energy even more than Pinkie Pie “Something fishy is going on here and I intend on finding out what it is ” Twilight thought to herself as she sat on her bed. Twilight still had yet to even notice Pinkie Pie standing next to her bed.
Pinkie Pie just giggled at Twilight “Good morning sunshine.” Pinkie said, poking Twilight on her side causing Twilight to glare at her “Oh calm down you silly foal.”
Twilight looked at Pinkie before shaking her head “She is just being Pinkie Pie ” Twilight jumped off her bed walking over to her dresser so she could brush her mane and tail as she does every morning but for some reason everything felt much bigger now that she was on the ground, much bigger than it looked from her bed. Twilight shrugged and tried to access her magic yet all her horn did was spark. Twilight was baffled she hoped that it was just because she was groggy this morning and nothing else.
“Hey Twilight” Pinkie shouted when Twilight turned around she saw Pinkie holding a mirror but the reflection in the mirror was what caught her eye. Twilight was staring at the mirror.

Chapter 3:Velvet's Arrival

It had been near two weeks since Twilight's friends sent a letter to her mother, explaining the situation. They had all been taking turns looking after the lavender foal, everypony except Rainbow Dash, she would either have something to do or say she was too cool to watch after a foal though in all reality everypony else knew she was scared she might do something wrong. Rarity had volunteered to watch after Twilight this day, much to Twilight's dismay, anytime she tried to say something the only thing that would come out would be baby gibberish and it was starting to get on her nerves.
The only thing that Twilight hated about being a foal again was the way everypony would coo at her and how some elderly ponies would pinch her cheeks. It angered her a little so she would flail her little hooves and babble at them hoping they got the message. What seemed odd though was the same day Rarity had volunteered to foalsit she had decided to come out with a foal line of clothing. Twilight knew where this was heading and struggled to escape but now her magic was much weaker, like it was when she was a foal, so she could not use it to open doors. Twilight had known from the start that she could not escape and gave in to become Rarity's new model.
Rarity had put her in dress after dress, taking pictures all the while. Twilight was now sitting down pouting while Rarity took one more picture of the sixteenth dress she had been put in that hour"Twilight darling you look just plain adorable." Rarity cooed "Come on give me a little smile." Twilight sat there still pouting, Rarity frowned as she went over to Twilight, who was now trying to take the dress off "No Twilight.” The marshmallow unicorn said, “you want to look good for your surprise visitor."
Twilight cocked her head, Rarity had been speaking of this 'visitor' all day and it was starting to bother Twilight. She had tried mouth writing to ask Rarity who it was but when Twilight tried to mouth write something, all that came out was chicken scratch and it frustrated her to her very core as she cursed, internally of course, at not practicing mouth writing. She had always used magic to write and now it was coming back to haunt her and now, with her younger mind, she would often get flustered, angry, and sometimes it would get to her and she would cry although when Pinkie Pie had dropped Twilight off at Rarity's, she was asleep and Pinkie Pie had given Rarity some tips on how to calm her down when she would get upset, Pinkie had also told Rarity that she was planning a party for when Twilight Velvet came to Ponyville the party was for both of them.

It was around late afternoon now and Rarity had been using Twilight as her little model all day, it was clear that Twilight was tired as she was now fighting to keep her eyes opened as her little head began lowering before she reeled it back up and yawned loudly. Rarity couldn’t help but D’aw and coo over the tired Twilight. “Who needs a wittle nap?” Rarity said, her baby voice annoying Twilight and she tried to tell her only to be stopped by another yawn, causing Rarity to coo even more before taking Twilight’s dress off and carrying her to a crib. Twilight was struggling in Rarity’s magic until she was placed on the soft mattress in the crib. Her exhaustion caught up with her and she gave in; laying on her side as she fell asleep, babbling something softly.
Rarity smiled as she closed the bedroom door, wondering about how they could help out Twilight's mother in anyway. A few days back when they were discussing it, Applejack had agreed to give Twilight Applebloom's old baby toys, along with trying to sneak Smarty Pants away from Big Mac, and Pinkie Pie had got the cakes to agree to give Twilight's mother Pound and Pumpkin's old bottles and pacifiers, seeing as they no longer needed them. Rarity had decided that she would give her Sweetie Belle's old foal supplies so that way she would have some free space in her basement.
Rarity decided that now was a good time to sit down and relax a little. She looked over at the clock she had, it was getting close to 3pm. She smiled, knowing that would leave them with about 3 hours until Twilight Velvet arrived in Ponyville. The marshmallow mare trotted into her kitchen, levitating a tea kettle, she had filled earlier, onto the stove to make some tea. As she waited for the water to boil, she levitated some of the pictures she had taken of Twilight during their modeling sessions, hoping to find the best one to use for advertising her latest fashion line.
The whole time Rarity was looking through the photos she could not stop giggling "I think Twilight looks cute in this one, yet I am not sure it would be front page worthy. " Rarity kept focusing on the pictures, looking at them one by one, picturing it on the front of every fashion magazine. Minutes dragged on as she examined each and every picture. She jumped a little from the whistle of her tea kettle, signaling that the water was boiling. "Oh goodie the tea is done!" Rarity stood up from her sofa, stretching. Using her magic, she brought the prepared tea over along with a cup and saucer. She tipped the kettle and filled the cup before setting both down on her coffee table. "Now the only two problems I can think of with Twilight are that she is not adjusting to her new diet very well and the second one: how will she react when she sees her mother? Rarity pondered taking a sip of her tea "I guess we will cross that bridge when it comes ."
"But her mother is coming today." Rarity groaned in frustration, making sure to not wake Twilight "For the love of Celestia why did this have to happen?!" Rarity was taken out of her little state of anger by a knock on the door. Rarity stood up again, trotting over to the front door she regained her composure, smiling as she opened it "Welcome to Carousel Boutique wher-" Rarity was cut off by a pink blur rushing past her "Oh hello Pinkie" Pinkie starts shuffling around nervously "Pinkie darling, what is wrong? Why are you so nervous?"
Pinkie stood there panting "Well Rarity, you see I might have gotten the time wrong for something really super important." Pinkie let out a nervous laugh.
Rarity gave Pinkie Pie a stern look "Pinkie Pie what are you talking about?" Rarity asked in an equally stern tone, one that she normally saved for misbehaving foals, otherwise known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Pinkie Pie gulped "Well remember how I said Twilight's mom would be arriving at around fiveish?" Pinkie asked, Rarity nodded "Well I was wrong. She will be here in one hour."
Rarity took a few deep breaths pupils shrinking "Pinkie Pie, darling. Might I ask you something?" Rarity asked and Pinkie nodded "How in the world of Equestria did you GET THE TIME WRONG!?" Rarity shouted before immediately covering her mouth as she remembers the foal currently sleeping upstairs.
"Well Rarity I don't know. When I went to the train station to check, I found out that she had found a much earlier train and took that one.” Pinkie said "I am so, so, so sorry Rarity!"
Rarity sighed, she could see the tell tail signs that Pinkie was going to cry "It’s alright Pinkie darling." Rarity placed a reassuring hoof on Pinkie's shoulder, “We’ll just have to prepare for her earlier arrival.” Pinkie nodded, smiling at her friend. Rarity offered Pinkie a seat and tea, she accepted it gladly.

The hour has passed rather quickly Pinkie had already left to retrieve and welcome Twilight's mother from the train station, she left with her pink welcome wagon. Rarity sighed, now was the moment of truth she went upstairs to see that Twilight was still sleeping peacefully and snoring softly. Rarity went over to the sleeping foal and shook her lightly "Twilight. Twilight, wake up darling" Rarity whispered as she kept shaking Twilight "Come on sweetie you need to wake up."
Twilight sat up before looking up at Rarity and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She blinked again as Rarity came into focus. Seeing Rarity giving her a warm smile she returned it and babbled a good morning. Twilight’s smile left when she remembered she couldn’t speak and facehoofed with her little hoof. When she looked back at Rarity she was sniffing the air, “Twilight dear. Do you smell that?” the larger unicorn asked. Twilight sniffed the air and nodded before realizing what it was and looked at her diaper for confirmation, blushing profusely.
Rarity followed the smell to the red faced foal; Twilight was blushing so much that her lavender coat couldn’t hide it. Rarity recoiled when she realized what it was and covered her nose, tears forming in her eyes from the stench. “How could such a small foal make such a big smell?!” She started fanning the air in front of her face, “I need air!” She galloped out of the room while Twilight’s blush deepened as the foal tried to cover the diaper in shame.
Rarity stood outside taking in a lungful of air as dramatically as Rarity could, “Fresh air!” She looked back into the room, which was now emitting green smog. She took a deep breath and used her magic to bring up a new diaper and the powder Pinkie had left. Rarity gulped before walking back into the room and to Twilight. Rarity cleared a table, setting everything aside neatly, and laid Twilight down. She used her magic to pull the diaper open slowly, as if it was a bomb. Rarity gagged a little as the smell became more intense from the open diaper.
She held the diaper aloft and threw it into the trash with a flick of her magic, being careful to not have it touch her mane. She shivered and shook some of the powder onto Twilight; they both shared a sneeze before Rarity put the new diaper on Twilight. She stepped back to admire her work. Twilight was sitting on the table, looking at her hooves sadly. “Sweet Celestia Twilight!” Rarity said, “How could you make such a mess?!” Twilight began to cry. Her sadness overtook her, she didn’t want to do that but she didn’t have any control over it.
“Why did this happen to me? ” Twilight thought as she continued bawling.
Rarity was caught off guard, “Don’t cry Twilight.” Rarity said failing to calm her down, “How about I put a nice dress on you?” She asked desperately, Twilight started crying harder now. Rarity looked around for something to calm her down with, her thoughts were being interrupted by the foal’s cries and she didn’t think before bringing a pacifier over and sticking it in Twilight’s mouth, calming her down instantly as she sucked on the orange pacifier. Strangely it calmed Twilight down, she didn’t argue since she could think clearly again and it wasn’t just thoughts of everything bad that had happened.
Rarity sighed in relief at having that problem dealt with. When Twilight calmed down she spat the pacifier out. Rarity set her down with a few block toys that Rarity had lying around. Twilight was keeping herself amused with stacking the blocks in every way she possibly could. A knock came from the door; Rarity went to answer it with her singsong voice, “Coming.” She opened the door, “Oh, hello darling. Welcome to Carousel Boutique, where all our designs are magnefique!” A voice
answered her, Twilight wasn’t able to hear who it was but she came in soon after Rarity. Twilight crawled to where she could see the door and the pony she saw standing there surprised her and filled her with joy. So much joy that she took off crawling as fast as she could, nopony saw her come up until she was hugging Twilight Velvet’s leg. Both unicorns looked down when they heard babbling. Both cooing when they saw the filly.
Twilight let go when she realized what she had just done and sat on her flank, pouting and scolding herself for letting her emotions carry her away again. Twilight Velvet picked up her new yet old foal with a smile, “Now don’t pout Twilight, what’s wrong?” she asked. Twilight tried to speak and ended up babbling again. The mares D’awwed at the foal Twilight and she sighed, “This is going to annoy me. I just know it. ”

Twilight Velvet continued to rock her now sleeping daughter, smiling at the sight. She looked back up at the five mares in front of her with a smile only a mother could give, "So let me get this right; you all took turns looking after her when her potion failed?" Velvet asked.
"Well if it was not for Pinkie we would not have known about her." Rarity said.
Applejack nodded, "Yup, everypony except Rainbow Dash. She is tha' only one who hasn't foalsat Twilight."
With that everypony turned their attention to the cyan mare, "Hey sorry but I am not going to watch a foal." Rainbow Dash said getting defensive, "Besides I am way too busy with either training to become a wonderbolt or I am on weather duty. So I can not do that."
Everypony kept talking while Twilight Velvet just looked down at her daughter again, "So what have you been feeding her? And how often?" Velvet asked.
"Well you see..." Rarity started, "She has not been adjusting to her new diet so well. The only time she really eats is when she is asleep." Rarity sighed, she did not want to explain this but she knew she had to, "We kinda have to give her a bottle when she is sleeping, seeing as that is the only time she is willing to eat."
Applejack had told Twilight Velvet about her difficulties in trying to get Twilight to eat and about when she had left the room, Twilight had grabbed her plate and only succeeded on slobbering all over Applejack's food. Twilight Velvet giggled at the thought of Twilight trying to eat solid foods again. Pinkie Pie had told her about Twilight trying to eat a cupcake but she only got covered in frosting from head to hoof.

Twilight had awoke a few hours later in a room, it was chilly and dark. She looked around, seeing wooden bars surrounding her. She continued examining the room, she could clearly see her bed, “Great, I guess I am in a crib again. ” Twilight sighed. She tried to stand up on all fours, managing only to fall on her flank, “Well this is great. I still can’t stand or walk for that matter. ”
Twilight felt the need to scream so she did; immediately hearing the sound of hoof steps running the up stairs. The door opened, revealing a white mare, “Good morning Twilight sweetie.” Velvet said as she went over to the crib and lifted Twilight out of it, “I hope you slept well.” Velvet gave Twilight a kiss on the cheek.
Twilight tried to push her away “No I don’t want a kiss! ” Twilight thought as she tried to shout at Velvet, only for it to sound like foals babbling.
Velvet giggled “Well somepony is excited.” she booped Twilight’s nose, “Mommy has a surprise for you later today.”
Twilight looked up at Velvet cocking an eyebrow, “Wait, surprise? what kind of surprise? ”
“Right after breakfast mommy is going to take you to see your auntie Pinkie for your surprise.” Velvet said, placing Twilight into her high chair and turning around, grabbing a bib, “And I think you are going to have fun.” Velvet said as she tied the bib around Twilight’s neck, “Now I have heard that you have not been eating much so...” Velvet levitated a bowl of gelatin in front of Twilight, “I made gelatin. Now open wide” Velvet levitated a spoonful of the gelatin to Twilight’s mouth. The little foal turned her head.
“No way that stuff looks yucky! Twilight thought, sticking her tongue out only for the gelatin to hit her tongue, “Ewww! Twilight started to try and smash the gelatin only to have Velvet swat her hooves away.
“No no Twilight, we can’t do that.” Velvet scolded the foal, still levitating the spoon to her daughters face and watching Twilight turn her head again, “Come on Twilight just one bite.” Twilight shook her head Velvet levitated the spoon closer, “Please? For me?”
Twilight shook her head again “No, I will not lowering myself to eating foal stuff. ” Twilight pouted again, not moving an inch, “I don’t want it! I already tasted it! And I was right. It was yucky! ” Twilight waggled her hooves babbling.
Velvet tapped a hoof to her chin, “Come on Twilight just one little tiny bite?” Twilight shook her head again. Velvet levitated the spoon a little closer, “Just one little bite. That is all I am asking, just one bite and you won’t have to eat any more.”
Twilight looked at her mother, “Just one bite huh? ” Twilight looked at the gelatin, “I guess that could not be SO bad ” Twilight opened her mouth, allowing Velvet to place the gelatin into her mouth. Twilight closed her mouth before immediately spitting out the gelatin “What the buck?! that was horrible! ” Twilight sneezed causing Velvet to giggle.
Velvet took a napkin and wiped her face along with Twilight’s face, “I am guessing you did not like that.”
“That stuff was so gross! ” Twilight though trying to wipe the taste out of her mouth wide eyed, “Never again!

After bath time, Velvet had gotten Twilight dressed and packed her a bag, smiling, “I think you will like this surprise.” Velvet said as she placed Twilight in a foal carrier. Twilight struggled, trying to get out, “No Twilight. You have to stay in there so you don’t get lost.”
Twilight kept kicking, trying in vain to get out, “Gah! I hate this thing! the lavender foal pouted and began to suck her little hoof, not even noticing, “I wonder what the surprise is ” Twilight covered her eyes as soon as they were outside, trying to shield them from the sudden flash of light that came from the sun, “Gah the sun is bright today! ”
Velvet looked down at Twilight and giggled as she began trotting off; humming a little tune as she did so. Twilight was too busy trying to get out of the foal carrier to notice Sugar Cube Corner in the distance. Sighing Twilight could hear ponies around her chatting and the birds chirping “Normally I would love taking a walk in the morning but not like this ” Velvet looked down at her daughter, still smiling, as she walked into Sugar Cube Corner. The sound of bells jingling jolted Twilight out of her little fantasy, “Huh, what? why are we at Sugar Cube Corner ”
Velvet levitated Twilight out of the foal carrier, setting her on the floor and walking up to Pinkie Pie, “Hello Pinkie” Velvet said with a smile.
“Oh hi Ms.Vel-” Pinkie was cut off.
“Just call me Velvet.”
“Hi Velvet!” The hyperactive pink earth pony said, taking her gaze to Twilight, “Hi Twilight!” Twilight tried to shy away, “Aww isn’t that cute!” Pinkie squealed, “Are you excited about your playdate with Pound and Pumpkin?” Twilight cocked an eyebrow.
“Wait, playdate? With Pound and Pumpkin? This can’t be right ” Twilight thought to herself as she crawled around without noticing what she was doing.
Velvet giggled, “I am guessing that is a yes.” she watched as Twilight sat down on her flank “Well Pinkie do you want me to come and pick her up later or do you want me to stay here?” Velvet asked.
“You can stay or leave, whatever you want as long as Twilight has fun!” Pinkie said as she started bouncing around, “Oh I should go and get Pound and Pumpkin!” with that Pinkie zipped off in a pink blur.
“How did she do that?” Velvet asked to nopony in particular.
“You learn not to ask things after living in Ponyville for a while... ” Twilight thought to herself with a deadpanned expression.
Velvet sat on the floor in front of Twilight, “My, my you have a little personality don’t you?” Velvet picked Twilight’s hooves up, “Who has tiny hooves? Who has tiny hooves?” Twilight giggled, “You do! Yes you do.”
Twilight kept giggling trying to get away from Velvet “H-hey my hooves are not that tiny! Twilight thought, still in a fit of giggles, “C-come on st-stop ” Twilight flailed her hooves around trying to escape her mother “St-stop it already! ”
Velvet kept tickling Twilight, “Oh no the raspberry monster is coming” Velvet said as she blew a raspberry on Twilight’s stomach she couldn’t resist the giggles that escaped, no matter how badly she didn’t want it to. Velvet sat Twilight on the ground, the foal was still giggling.
“Hey that looked like fun. ” A new voice said. It sounded like that of a filly.
Twilight looked around, “Hello? Who is there? ”
“Duh look behind you another voice said. Twilight could not make out the voices or who they belonged to so she turned around, seeing Pound and Pumpkin sitting behind her. Pumpkin waved to Twilight who just sat there, shocked.But she managed to wave back.
“Hey I know you! your Auntie Pinkie’s friend Twilight! I thought you were bigger. ” Pound stated with a grin.
“Uhh yeah I kinda had an accident wh- ” Twilight was cut off.
“Oh if you did you should get Auntie Pinkie. ” Pound commented.
“As I was going to say I had an accident when making a new potion that makes somepony younger. I must have done something wrong and well, this happened. ” Twilight thought as Twilight, Pound and Pumpkin sat in their little circle talking to each other Pinkie and Velvet sat at a table having a bit of a late lunch, though to them it only sounded like foals babbling.
“So what are you then? ” Pumpkin asked, clearly confused.
“Well I guess I am a foal now. ” Twilight sighed, “You have no idea how frustrating this is. Everypony talks to me like I am a foal. ”
“I don’t care if they do it to me because I get free sweets out of it just by acting cute. ” Pound exclaimed, Pumpkin hit Pound’s arm, “Ouch! geez watch it that hurt! ”
“Well Pound you need to be a little more sensitive to Twilight and sym-symp- ”
“Sympathetic Pumpkin the word in sympathetic ” Twilight corrected, “And please don’t, this was my own doing so I am stuck like this. ”
“Just wait until you have to get a shot. ” Pound grinned, staring right into Twilight’s eyes, causing her to shudder.
“Well I really doubt that I will be getting one of those. I already had them when I was a foal. ” Twilight said.
“I doubt it, I heard Pinkie talking earlier and she said something about you getting shots soon. ” Pound said, “But if you're good when you get them the doctor gives you a lollipop! and he can understand us! ” Pound exclaimed throwing his hooves up in the air.
Twilight facehoofed, “So what you're saying is the pediatrician speaks foal? ” Twilight asked Pound and Pumpkin nodded “That is crazy its not scientifically possible to understand a foal unless you are a foal... ” Twilight said trailing off.

“Alright Twilight time to tell your friends goodbye.” Velvet said as she picked Twilight up, the foal yawned a little, “And I think a certain somepony needs a nap.” right as Velvet was about to put Twilight in the foal carrier she was stopped by a pink hoof.
“She can take her nap here!” Pinkie said bouncing around Velvet, “I don’t think Pumpkin will mind sharing her crib with Twilight, they are friends after all!” Pinkie said with her continuous bouncing, “No not friends, bestest friends!” Velvet let out a small laugh and agreed to let Twilight take her nap here so she could get to know Pinkie better.

Twilight was staring at the mirror Pinkie was holding up in disbelief. She was looking at herself though not as a mare but as a foal. Her thoughts were racing through her head like ‘how could this have happened?’ and ‘what went wrong?’ along with calculations about the recipe. Twilight was frozen in place by fear, not able to move from the state of shock she was in. Twilight was just staring at her reflection aside from her now little, racing heart. While her brain processed what could have went wrong.
“Twilight, are you OK?” Pinkie asked, causing Twilight to come out of her state of shock. Twilight attempted to talk and let her friend know she was alright, just a little startled, but all that came out of her mouth was babbling, baby gibberish. This caused Pinkie to giggle, soon the realization hit Twilight, she had aged back into a foal.
Twilight sat down as Pinkie put the mirror back “No this cannot be real this has to be a dream! ” Twilight let out a nervous laugh “Yeah that’s it! This is just a bad dream of what could have gone wrong! All I have to do is wait until I wake up! ” when Twilight looked back she noticed her cutie mark was still there, she sighed in relief “This is the worst possible thing EVER! I read the directions word for word, how could I have messed up? ”
Twilight took a few deep breaths trying to calm down and slow her beating heart, but nothing worked. What was she going to do? Twilight knew that she would have to wait years to return to her normal age. Twilight let out a high pitched, ear shattering, scream that was several octaves higher than her normal voice. Pinkie Pie covered her ears, she could see the hurt on her friends face and now all Pinkie Pie wanted to pick Twilight up and give her the biggest hug of her life.
“This is real… ” Was all Twilight could think now, the only thing she could do was sniffle, about to cry “What am I going to do? Twilight sniffled again “I am going to have to move back to Canterlot and move back in with my mother ” at this point the dam had shattered and Twilight was now wailing like the age she looked “And I will have to leave all of my friends behind ” her thoughts continued.

Pinkie Pie had gotten Twilight to sleep after almost an hour of her crying, she could not figure out why Twilight was crying so much and for somepony whose special talent is making ponies happy, it just broke the pink mare’s heart seeing a foal crying like that. Pinkie let out a sigh of relief “Good thing I have pacifiers hidden everywhere in case of pacifier emergencies.” Pinkie Pie giggled at Twilight sleeping and sucking on a pacifier. Pinkie Pie picked Twilight up, placing her on the bed “Now what to do” Pinkie Pie started pacing around the room as she thought.
“Oh! I got it! I can throw her a party!” Pinkie Pie squealed before putting a hoof in her mouth to stay quit. Looking over at Twilight she wanted to make sure the foal was still sleeping “Phew that was a close one but I should send a letter to Twilight’s mom or somepony. And I can’t forget the invitation!” she smiled widely as she grabbed a quill and paper.
