Princess Trixie's Revenge
Epilogue: Paradox's Student
Previous ChapterEpilogue: Paradox's Student
Nighttime had fallen once again on Equestria. Everypony was sound asleep in their beds...Except for one light blue unicorn pacing back and forth in her cell and chains.
"Once again, I lose! I can't believe it! I was princess of Equestria! I had The Six as my servants for life and what happens?! That stupid human just HAD to ruin everything! UGH!" Trixie was irate. She lost once again to Twilight's little group but this time, she knew she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. "I'm going to get back at them if it's the last thing I..."
"HEY! Lights out was 15 minutes ago! Get to bed 'Princess'!" A guard yelled as he walked past the cell. "If I hear one more word out of you, you'll be sorry!" The guard walked out of Trixie's cell block and slammed the door. Trixie returned to her bed of hay. "This is SO uncomfortable! The Great and Powerful Trixie needs a bed for..."
"What did I say?! BED!" The guard rapped on the wooden door. Trixie calmed down and tried to sleep on the rough bed.
Meanwhile, outside, a shadowy figure moves toward the castle. His posture shown only when the moon comes out from behind the clouds. He goes around to the back of the castle to find Trixie's cell window. The moon's light is blocked by his dark figure. Trixie looks up to see what's blocking her light.
"Stupid clouds." She muttered. But when she saw what was in the way, she backed away from her window to the cold bars of her cell.
"Need some help?" Paradox asked.
"W-Who are you?" she said shaking at the spirit. "Your one of the guards of the Tartarus aren't you!?" Trixie immediately got on her knees and started begging. "Please don't take me away! I promise i'll change! I swear! I'll become Twilight's best friend forever and never threaten her again!" Tears were rolling down her cheeks. Paradox laughed at this little act.
"Trixie get up, you're making a fool of yourself!" He demanded. She did what he asked, but was extremely puzzled.
"Wait, if you're not a guard from the Tartarus, then, who are you?" she sniffled.
"I am Paradox, spirit of time!" His voice echoed throughout the land. "I have been observing you, Trixie Lulamoon. And I must say I am fascinated by your work!"
Trixie blushed. "Thanks, but as you can see Paradox, my plans normally don't end that well. I mean sure this one worked fine until that stupid human and Twilight with her dumb friends ruined everything!" she complained.
Paradox became interested in her little sob story. "You want to get you revenge again, don't you?" he asked.
Trixie looked him in determination. "More than anything. But, I don't see how. The human is too clever, and Twilight's magic is stronger than mine without the amulet!" She sat down in defeat. "What do I do?" she asked.
Paradox laughed. "Join me Trixie! Become my student in the art of dark magic! Twilight and The Princesses will fear you with the power you'll posses!"
"What about Christian?"
"He won't be around if you use that kind of power against him!"
Trixie thought about her choices: Rotting in a cell or dark magic. Trixie didn't know if this was some kind of trick or illusion by Twilight or one of The Princesses to test loyalty or whatever, but if it wasn't, this "Paradox" could be just what could make her more powerful than she could ever imagine!
"I heard some noises by Trixie's cell!" A guard yells from down the hall. "Get moving! Quickly!"
Paradox quickly stretches out a dark, beckoning hand from Trixie's cell window. Trixie felt the cold aura surrounding it.
"The choice is yours Trixie! Rot or rule!" he shouted impatiently.
Trixie looks toward the time spirit and then looks back at the sound of the guards dashing to her cell frantically. She had to make a choice. Fast.
"Freeze Trixie!" Three guards appear outside of Trixie's cell, horns at the ready. But, she wasn't there. Her chains were lying on the floor in a heap. It was as if she vanished "What?! Where did she go?! The guards quickly open the vacant cell and look around. "How did she escape?! She couldn't use magic!" The three of them pondered how she escaped. Suddenly, they freeze as an ominous, evil laughter sent a chill up their spines.
On the outskirts of town, Paradox's and Trixie's shadows were cast by the moon, covering Ponyville. Trixie looked at her savior and knelled to him.
"Thank you, Paradox"
Paradox looked at the unicorn with satisfaction. He knew she would not disappoint. He lent her a hand and picked her up.
"Come my student, you have much to learn."
Trixie nodded as they walked away from Ponyville. Trixie looked back one final time. The town palely lit by the moon light. It looked somewhat peaceful. It sickened her
"They'll regret everything they've ever done to me." Trixie muttered as her and Paradox's figures vanished against the blackness of the night.
