Chapter 3- I have no idea

Ikaika’s Pov

______________________________________________________________________________
“Yes! I get to hang out with Twilight” I thought to myself as Alec and I walk over to the girls.

I can’t believe Twilight actually sat next to me in class, I saw her walk in and I got a feeling, you know that kinda feeling when you eat hot cheetos and it goes down the wrong pipe and then there’s a searing pain in your chest. More or less something like that, but just like hot cheetos, you craved more.

This feeling, it feels so familiar. When have I felt like this before? 7th grade! That girl umm, what was her name again? V.....v, I’m pretty sure it started with a V. Veronica? No....no, that doesn’t sound right. Valerie? No, sounds like something out of a fan fiction or something. Vanessa? Vanessa! That was her name.

Flashback

She walked into class and everybodies jaw hit the floor, except for one, me. I was always the type of person that was able to see the true nature of someone and I felt as if she was a bitch on the inside. I believed that she was the type of person who uses others to get what she wants. But to my surprise she seemed to warm up to me. I never understood why as I was never an intelligent person in these type of matters. So I decided to ask why she always wanted to hang out with me.

“Hey Vanessa” I called for her

“Yeeeees?” She said in a somewhat seductive voice, as she slowly turned her head.

“Can I talk to you for a second?” I said with an awkward smile.

“Sure.” She said smiling back.

“Why are you treating me weird?” I asked with a hint of curiosity.

“What do you mean weird?” She said. I couldn’t help but feel like she was hurt by my question.

“Well, you don’t seem to be as nice to anyone, as you are to me.” I stated

“Well what do you think?” She said trying to be cute.

“Because I’m nice to you?” I said completely oblivious to the next thing she was about to say.

“No... Because I like you silly.” She said as she tapped me on the nose with her index finger.

“Wah! Why?” I asked still startled by her statement.

“Because you’re like the smartest kid in class...” She said before I interrupted her.

“And? What’s so good about that?” I asked questioning her judgement.

“Because, if you like the nerd in class he’ll give you the answers. So you’ll give me the answers for test and stuff right? Now that I like you and all.” She said trying to tap my nose again but i pulled my face away and looked at her in disgust. She looked at me with a puzzled expression on her face. Then I spoke.

“Fuck you bitch! You lazy ass, stupid, can’t think for herself bitch! You can’t just like me and expect me to give you all the answers! You have got to be the dumbest person I have ever met!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. Not shortly after the principal came over to me and escorted me to her office. Needless to say, I got in trouble, I was suspended from school for a week.

So that’s the story of Vanessa.

“Hopefully Twilight isn’t like that” I thought to myself. She didn’t seem like that kind of person. I would expect her to be one of those people who look at for her real friends. Not fake friends like that bitch Vanessa.

“So where do you girls wanna go first?” Alec ask the girls

“The gym!” Rainbow Dash shouts

“The mall.” Rarity says in a smug voice

“TheHomeEcroooom.” Pinkie Pie says in her normal hyper voice.

“Maybe the park?” Fluttershy says in her quiet voice

“The horse track!” Applejack exclaims

“Well I want to go to the library.” Twilight says in a calm sweet voice

“Really Twi? The library? How boring can you be!” Rainbow Dash exclaims

“Ah think Dash ‘as a point there sugah” Applejack says

“Well I wanna go to the library” Twilight says with a gruff demeanor as she crosses her arms.

“I’ll take you to the Library Twi....” Everyone looks at me as used Rainbow Dash’s nickname for Twilight.

“Hey! Only her friends call her that” Rainbow Dash says in a tone of anger

“Sorry Twilight” I say as I put my head down

“Rainbow Dash!” Twilight exclaims. Twilight then lifts my head back up and says “I apologize for my friends behavior, and it’s okay. You can call me Twi and thank you for the offer.” She says giving me a wink and a smile. I almost jizz my pants it’s so sexy.

“Well if you follow me I’ll take you to the library.” I say as I feel myself blush. I hope my tan skin complexion doesn’t let the redness show. I don’t think my complexion is enough because Twi giggles.

“Okay.” Twi says smiling

I begin to walk and she follows, we walk past R-Building, Between D and F and on the other side stand a building known as the library. The library is made of red brick and has no windows, but its a good thing that it’s AC’d or I don’t think anyone would be able to go in there for a minute during the summer. The school library doubles as a public library also. Twi and I walk through the automatic sliding doors on the backside of the library, we immediately feel the cold air from the library when the doors opens, I shiver a little bit.

“Oh my god!” Twi exclaims. “It’s so cold.”

“Yeah kinda, do you want to use my jacket?” I suggested.

“But won’t you be cold?” Twilight asks worriedly

“No, I’m used to it. I come here all the time.” I say convincingly. To be honest I was freezing, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

I didn’t think Twi would be cold, on account that she’s wearing a knit sweater already. I take off my jacket and hand it to her, it’s a purple zip-up jacket with white leather sleeves.

“Oh wow this is really nice.” She says as she puts it on. “Why is it purple?” She ask

“Oh...” I hesitate. “Well that’s because purple is my favorite color.” I say.

“No way!” She exclaims and is quickly shushed by a librarian. “Oh... Sorry, anyway did you know that purple is my favorite color too?” She says in a still excited but quieter voice.

“Well yeah I can tell.” I say chuckling and motioning at her clothes. She blushes. “So now that we’re at the library what do you want to do?”

“Hmm... Can you show me where the teen fiction is?” She ask

“Sure, as long as it’s not for the Twilight series.” I say in a serious but joking manner, because I hate both the movies and the books. But I didn’t want to sound rude so I jokingly said it.

“Ewwww no! I hate those books.” She says making a face as if she had eaten something disgusting. She smiles at me and I smile at her, I lead her to the teen fiction.

“So are there any books in particular that you want?” I ask her.

“No I’m just looking to see what you guys have.” She replies.

“Well have you read Maximum Ride by James Patterson?” I ask.

“No, What’s that about?” She asks, sounding very intrigued

“Well it’s about this girl Max and the “Flock”, or her family, have run away from the “School”; the lab complex where they spent the first part of their lives locked up in cages and experimented on. After four years, their hiding place has been discovered and Angel, the youngest member of the Flock, is captured. The others go to get her back and find answers along the way. Like information about their parents and some of the history of the School. Eventually, Max comes face to face with Jeb's son, Ari, and supposedly kills him by breaking his neck.” I explained to Twi

“Awesome that sounds like something I could read.” She says “Could you see if you can find ‘em for me.”

“Sure, just wait here.” I say as I give her a smile and walk away to go find the book.

I’m pretty familiar with this libraries Call Number system, since I’m in here almost every other day looking for books. I think for a little while walking through the aisles of books where the book could be. Then I remember it would be somewhere around LT. And there it was, “LT PATTERSON”, I quickly grabbed the book and took it back to Twi.

“I got it.” I say holding the book out to her. She takes it from me.

“Thanks, I’ll start reading it as soon as i get home.” She says smiling

“So why did you move here?” I ask Twi, cautious of her response.

“Uhh... My mom got a job at a nursing home.” She explained

“Oh, Greenview Retirement Home?” I ask

“Yeah that one.” She answered quickly

“Well where did you move from?” I ask inquisitively

“A town called Blackwater Way” She replied

“Oh, where is that?” I ask

“Maine.” She said quickly

“Oh that’s cool.” I replied

“I guess. So do you know any more good books?” She asks quickly

“Have you heard of 1984 by George Orwell?” I ask

“No what’s that about?” She asks.

“ In year 1984, the world has been divided into three states: Oceania, Eastasia and Eurasia, all of which, it is said, are almost continually in battle with one another. This world structure has come about following a nuclear war which took place sometime in the 1950's. In the state of Oceania, a revolution has resulted in the rise of an all-seeing figurehead known only as Big Brother, and a secretive group of individuals referred to as The Party. Under this regime, basic freedoms of expression—even thought—are strictly forbidden. History and memory are actively erased and rewritten so as to support the omnipotence and infallibility of The Party and its pronouncements. To this end, the State even employs its own language, Newspeak, and its own thought process, Doublethink. Early in the novel, Winston meets Julia, another worker at the Ministry of Truth, whom he has been watching from afar. Secretly, the two begin a love affair. This liaison inspires Winston to indulge his ever-growing obsession with revolution, and he and Julia begin to discuss, however implausible, ideas for the overthrow of The Party. Winston's eventual capture at the hands of the Thought Police leads to his purification and re-education by inner Party members. Orwell's strict attention to detail and realistic description of a world thirty-five years ahead of his own add validity to 1984, and make its larger conclusions all the more frightening. Even today, the novel remains a bleak and shadowy forewarning of what might someday occur.” I explained to her

“Oh wow, that sounds really interesting.” She said, generally sounding interested “Do you think you could go find it for me, so I can read that when I get home?”

“Sure.” I say feeling honored that she’s even talking to me. “Let me just go find it.”

I look for the sign hanging that reads “Historical-Fiction”, I peek my head out from the aisle I’m in to look for the sign, I see it a few aisles to the left of me. I turn around, smile at Twi, then start to walk over to the historical-fiction aisle. I’m in the aisle looking around for the book, I finally find it and take it off the shelf, in the process I almost knock off some other books from the shelf. I tuck the book under my arm and walk back to the aisle Twi is waiting for me in, I see she has her back faced toward me, so I walk up to her and tap her on the shoulder. She turns around quickly, her face and mine are inches away. She’s a little bit shorter than me but there we are, I’m staring into her staring into her big, deep purple eyes. Neither of us move staring into each others eyes, it feels so right, looking into her eyes fills me up with a warm sensation, I brush my hand against her waist, I want to hold her but know I can't. At the same time we break our gaze, looking down blushing and smile.

“Maybe we should go find everyone else.” I suggest, still looking down.

“Yeah maybe we should.” She concurs
