Rocket to Insanity: Twilight's Passage
It was a new morning, the sun creeped from the large window into the white pastel room. Spike squinted his eyes as the brightness woke him from the uncomfortable sleep of last night. His back still hurt, but he felt much better. Spike tried his best to look over at Twilight. There she was. The purple pony was a shade paler, still holding the same position she was in last night. However, her eyes were open, glaring at the ceiling with no expression shown. Twilight was still matted and her mane was filthy and unkept.
"Tw-...Twilight?" The scared dragon asked hoping for an answer.
She mumbled something.
"Twilight can you talk?" Spike asked, his anxiousness increasing.
She mumbled something again.
"Twilight! Please answer me!" Spike croaked.
"We need to go," the pony mumbled in a rough voice.
"We can't go! Look at you! You probably can't even sit up!" Spike cried hoping his friend wouldn't get any ideas.
It was too late. The tired and stubborn Twilight Sparkle started to slowly climb out of the bed, and wobbled hastily to the large door separating her from the corridor.
"I'm fine, Spike. Can you get up?" Twilight asked hazily.
Even though this wasn't the most brilliant plan that Twilight has ever come up with, Spike sure wouldn't be able to talk her out of it. With a quiet groan of pain, Spike slowly got off the bed and stood up, holding onto the bed for support.
"Great, now lets get going," Twilight said as she used her magic to open the door. The corridor seemed to have a few nurses walking around, possibly to keep the patients inside their rooms.
"Wait!" Spike cried as he shut the door.
"What are you doing Spike?" Twilight asked with an annoyed expression.
"What if someone sees us? They are going to send us right back here, we're only going to be losing time," Spike said.
"Oh...that," Twilight mumbled, "don't worry, I'll just use the invisibility spell I used on you last time. I can wear this, nopony will recognize me," she said using her magic to reveal a dark black cloak from within her travel case.
"Are you sure nopony will notice us?" Spike asked with an uneasy feeling beginning to form at the pit of his stomach.
Twilight looked at the ground for a moment of thought.
"I pinki-.... I promise..." Twilight said as the horn on her forehead began to glow.
