The Will Beyond the Woods
Friends depart.
Load Full StoryNext ChapterI could feel my eyes beginning to water as I heard the train whistle blow for the next group to depart on their train. Two of the ponies to be in that group were my two best friends, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. They both had gotten jobs outside of Ponyville. Sweetie Belle turned to me and gave me another big beat hug. "You sure you'll be okay?" She asked me her voice ringing sweetly like a little belle like it always did. "Yeah I'll be okay." I managed to say without my voice breaking. For I could not get a job outside of Ponyville anytime soon. Due to the constant work at the Apple Family farm. Scootaloo gave me a hoof pump and one of her know it all grins. Yet I could see a bit of sadness in her eyes at the same time. "I'll miss you kid, but don't worry I'll be back to visit you soon." Sweetie Belle's eyes lit up filled with happiness. "That's right I forgot that I can come and visit." Scootaloo raised an eye brow at her. Poor Sweetie Belle, I thought. She wasn't the most forgetful pony but wasn't the most smartest mare around either. The train whistle blew once again and the train master called for the next group to get on the departing train. We all looked at each other silently. "Well I guess this is it." I said quietly. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo looked at me for a second. "G-group hug." Sweetie Belle said her eyes filled with tears. The three of us hugged each other very tightly and then finally it was time for them to depart. I watched as they ran quickly into their car and I waved to them till I could see them no more. I sighed to myself and walked down the path back to Pony Ville. I hadn't walked very far when I heard a framilar snarky voice. "Hi Apple Bloom." I turned around to see Diamond Tiara with a sly smile spread over her face. I looked at her sternly not moving a muscle. "Hi Diamond." I half mumbled in annoyance. "So I saw that your friends got jobs outside of Pony Ville." I rolled my eyes. Here it comes....I thought. When she would put me down. "Yeah, but why would you care?" I asked her my eye brows raising. "Well it's just that I know you must be lonely since they left...." I was about to roll my eyes again when I noticed that Tiara's expression wasn't sly no longer. It looked sad and a bit hurt. It has to be an act, I thought. "They just left Diamond." I mumbled as I began walking again. But she wouldn't leave my side just then. "Well I was wondering if....you could help me with something." I turned around and looked at her. What did she just say?! What on earth could she want help with? I thought. "What help do you need exactly?" She looked around to make sure no pony was watching us and she grabbed my hoof. "I can't talk about it out in the open. Could we go somewhere that's more private? I shrugged. "I suppose." I followed her around a few few minutes when finally she stopped at a regal looking home. "This is my place, we can talk here." She motioned me to follow her inside. For a split second I hesitated. Why on earth would she need my help? But more importantly why all the privacy? For some reason I ignored my thoughts and followed her inside anyway. Her house was as regal as it looked from the outside. Now don't get me wrong it's not Equestria but sertantly not the Apple family farm house. She motioned for me to sit down on one her couches and I did just that. She laid back on her regal looking chair and fanned her self. I bit my lip in nervousness. "Tiara why do you need my help?" I asked trying to get her back on subject. She eyed me sternly and then looked around again. Now I was just getting plainly annoyed.
