Ever since she turned eleven, Applebloom has been anxiously waiting for a chance to shed the childlike firepower of her worn-down BB gun and learn how to fire a shotgun, in hopes of it earning her a cutie mark. When the day finally comes that Applejack teaches her the ropes of shotgun usage, she can hardly contain her excitement.

The next day, though, Scootaloo's suggestion that the rest of the crusaders become scattergun masters in an afternoon doesn't go over well with the youngest Apple. When asked why the recommendation doesn't fly, Applebloom tells of the day before.

Anyhoo, this is my first attempt at fanfiction. I've written a few short stories in the past, but it took me browsing this here site to actually get over the stigma surrounding fanfics and try to write a few myself.
