Ponies of various races and occupations lived in harmony with one another. They had farmers, doctors, teachers, writers, even a dressmaker........ The streets of Ponyville were bustling with ponies. Among the crowd was a white unicorn with a purple mane and three diamonds for a cutie mark. She was the town's resident dressmaker, Rarity. "My it is a lovely day." Rarity thought to herself. "Aw come on...." Rarity stopped. "What was that?" Muttered Rarity. Rarity turned and found the source of the voice. A blue stallion her age with a darker blue mane stood looking at a wooden wagon loaded with various chests and boxes.. The left wheel had fallen off and the stallion did not look happy. "Of all the times to break." Muttered the stallion. Rarity approached the Stallion. "Excuse me sir, is this your wagon?" Asked Rarity. "Well...... Its a rental." Replied the Stallion. "The Wheel fell off and I cant move the wagon." Rarity smiled. "Allow me." Rarity held the wagon up a tiny bit with magic and picked up the fallen wheel. She levitated the wheel back onto its axel and released her magical hold on the wagon. "Thanks alot." Said the stallion. "Its nothing really." Said Rarity. "Though I'm not sure if it will hold." "You could follow me in case it breaks." Said the stallion as he hooked himself up to the wagon. "My house isn't that far away...... Well my new house anyways." "I don't have anything to do so I'll take you up on that offer." Replied Rarity. The two began to walk. "What do you mean by your new house?" Asked Rarity. "I just moved into town from Fillydelpha." Replied the Stallion. "Im sorry where are my manners, Im Noteworthy." "Call me Rarity. So what made you decide to come to ponyville?" "Im a music writer, but I don't get any business back home." Replied Noteworthy. "I see your point." Said Rarity. "Ponyville is close enough to Canterlot where you might get some high class clients." "Exactly why I decided to move here." Said Noteworthy. "That and it was all I could afford." They reached a building. "There it is." Said Noteworthy. "Looks like quite the place." Said Rarity. "I can't thank you enough for your help Miss Rarity." Said Noteworthy. "It was my pleasure." Noteworthy unstrapped himself from the wagon. "If there is anything I can do to return the favor-" "I'll keep that in mind." Said Rarity. "But right now I must be going. Best of luck settling in." "Thanks." Said Noteworthy. Rarity began to walk home as Noteworthy looked at his new home. 'Noteworthy seems like a well mannered stallion." Thought Rarity. "I hope I see more of him." TWO YEARS LATER. It was late at night, almost every pony in town was asleep. Almost. Noteworthy was walking through the streets of Ponyville looking for inspiration to aid him in a song he was writing. "Dark sky...... Empty streets....." Noteworthy took a mental note of his surroundings, hoping to find inspiration. "The nerve of that stallion...." Said a voice. Noteworthy looked around. "Who could be up at this hour?" Thought Noteworthy. "Well other than me of course." Noteworthy saw Rarity dressed in a fancy dress that looked rather unclean. "Rarity?" Called Noteworthy. Rarity looked at Noteworthy. "Oh, Noteworthy." Said Rarity. "Sorry I didn't expect to see anypony else this evening." Noteworthy walked up to Rarity. Ever since their first meeting the two have been friendly with one another. "What brings you here this evening?" Asked Rarity. "Looking for some ideas to a song I'm working on." Replied Noteworthy. Noteworthy looked at Rarity's dress. "What happened with the dress?" Rarity sighed. "I was at the Grand Galloping Gala..... And I met Prince Blueblood...." "I heard of him before." Said Noteworthy. "He is a horrible pony." Continued Rarity. "He made me pay for food, and he used me as a shield! What kind of stallion uses a mare for a shield!?" "The bad kind apparently." Added Noteworthy. Rarity groaned. "I just want to go home, take a nice warm bath and forget that night ever happened." "Im sorry if im keeping you from doing that." Said Noteworthy. "Its alright Noteworthy." Said Rarity. "Im glad that I talked to one stallion who wasn't a jerk tonight." "Well I need to look for more inspiration." Said Noteworthy. "I'll see you later." "Untill then." The two parted ways. "A rude prince..... A bad night...... Just want to forget....... That could work!" Thought Noteworty. He galloped back home to write his song. Rarity stepped into her room and threw her dress to the side. "I thought he would be charming!" Thought Rarity. Rarity walked to her vanity and levitated a cloth off the table. "Of all the princes I have ever known he was THE WORST PRINCE EVER! Rarity used the cloth to whioe the makeup from her face. "If thats how all princes are then I want nothing to do with them!" Rarity removed her false eyelashes and set them onto the vanity. "Why cant they be more like Noteworty?" Rarity stepped into her bathroom and started the bathwater. "Im going to stay out of the dating scene for a while." Thought Rarity. Author's Note And thats the prolouge. Bet you never expected this pairing did ya? Well I ship it now. Since then she had only went to one other Grand Galloping Gala, and that time Celestia wanted them all to bring stallions. Rarity humored her and brought Noteworthy along as a friend. It was a better gala than her previous one, but she still couldn't get over how foul Blueblood was. "This is quite relaxing Isn't it." Said Rarity. She was in the ponyville spa getting her usual treatment. Accompanying her as usual was Fluttershy. They were between treatments, relaxing in large chairs. "It really is." Added Fluttershy. "So how are things with you?" Asked Rarity. "Fine." Replied Fluttershy. "Except.... Nothing." Rarity raised an eyebrow. "Darling what are you not telling me?" Fluttershy gulped. "Uh.... Well........ I think I might have a crush on somepony....." Rarity smiled. "I never knew you had it in you." Said Rarity. "Who's the lucky stallion? Or mare if your one of those types." Fluttershy blushed. "Its a stallion....... He's a little older than me......" "How much?" Asked Rarity. Fluttershy replied fast. "Three years." Rarity looked surprised. "Thats quite an age difference." Said Rarity. "But you are more mature than some of our other friends..." Rarity sighed. "Seems like they're finding their matches pretty quick." Said Rarity. Many of Rarity's friends were in relationships. Pinkie has been dating her Co-worker Pokey for two years, Rainbow dash just made her relationship with the Wonderbolt Soarin public, and Applejack had recently started dating a grape farmer. "I dont think im ready for that yet." Said Fluttershy. The two spa ponies Aloe and Lotus stepped in. "Back to our treatment I guess." Said Rarity. "Almost done....." Noteworthy was sitting at his desk, pencil held in his mouth as he finished writing a song for a client. He had been working on this song for several days now. "There." Sighed Noteworthy. He took the paper and put it in a paper bin labeled completed. "Guess I can relax right now." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy got up and stepped towards a door with a music note on it. His music room. In addition to being a songwriter, Noteworthy played several instruments. He kept them all in his music room. He opened the door and turned the lights on. Inside were various instruments on stands and some on racks on the walls. Noteworthy looked over the instruments. "What do I want to play today?" Thought Noteworthy. He looked over to the far end of the room where one instrument stood out. A saxophone, his favorite instrument. "Perfect." Thought Noteworthy. He walked over to the Saxophone and picked it up. He played a simple song on the saxophone, one he had memorized. After his song was finished he set the saxophone back and stepped out of the music room. "Do I need Groceries?" Thought Noteworthy. "Better check...." Noteworthy walked into his kitchen and checked his pantry. It was running low on food. "I should probably buy more today." Muttered Noteworthy. Noteworthy walked towards his front door, grabbed his saddle bag and stepped outside. Rarity walked away from the spa. "I dont believe it." Thought Rarity. "Almost all my friends found their special somepony." Rarity sat down on a nearby bench. "Odd that Twilight hasn't been looking for her special somepony." Thought Rarity. Rarity looked around her. Several ponies in walked by her, some of them walked in pairs. "Why cant I find my prince....." Thought Rarity. "No wait, I found my prince and hated him...." Rarity put a hoof to her chin. "What I need is a....... A knight in shining armor to save me from my loneliness!" Rarity giggled to herself. "Its about time for me to get back on the dating scene!" Thought Rarity. Rarity got up and headed to a place where she knew single stallions would be plentiful. "That will be five bits." Noteworthy was in the ponyville market, buying some needed groceries. He was finishing paying for some lettuce. "Alright then." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy gave the clerk five bits and put the lettuce in his saddlebag. "Thats done." Noteworthy began to walk away but another pony bumped into him. "Ow...." "Im so sorr- Noteworthy?" Noteworthy noticed that the pony he bumped into was Rarity. "Oh hey Rarity." Said Noteworthy. "Im terribly sorry, I was distracted and-" "Its alright." Said Noteworthy. "While i have you here, Whats the name of that pub you go to every night?" Asked Rarity. Noteworthy went to a pub with his friends nearly every night. "You mean the salt lick?" Asked Noteworthy. "I didn't know you were into places like those." "Well i'm trying something new." "Rarity take it from me, I dont think thats your kind of pub." Said Noteworthy. "I can think of three- wait, do you like mares or stallions?" "I prefer Stallions." Said Rarity. "Then two other pubs. Out of the four in Ponyville." "Please do tell." Said Rarity. "Theres the rust bucket, I heard the drinks there were good but the ponies there aren't as friendly." "Right then, what is the other one?" "Its this nice little karaoke bar not too far from Sugarcube corner, but it only opens at night." Rarity smiled at the thought of a karaoke bar. "The karaoke bar sounds nice." Said Rarity. "Could you show me the way there tonight?" "Of course." Said Noteworthy. "Just meet me at my place when your ready. See you later." Noteworthy walked away as Rarity began to think of the karaoke bar. "I'll dazzle all the stallions there with my singing, then im sure to find my special somepony!" Thought Rarity. Noteworthy stood in his room putting birdseed in his pet songbird, Melody's feeder. Melody was a white and turquoise songbird Noteworthy got from Fluttershy two years ago. "Rarity should be here soon." Said Noteworthy. Melody tweeted as she flew around the room. "I think its good that im getting out tonight." Said Noteworthy. "I need to get out and do things with other ponies." There was a knock on the door. "And that should be her." Noteworthy put Melody back into her birdcage and walked down the stairs to the front door. He opened the door and Rarity stood on the other side. "Evening Noteworthy." Said Rarity. "Evening." "Shall we head out to this karaoke bar?" "Lets." Noteworthy slipped on his saddlebags and led Rarity towards the Karaoke bar. The two approached a building with a lit up sign labeled Sing and Drink. "Wonder why I never noticed this place." Said Rarity. "It hasn't been open too long. Just opened up this year." Replied Noteworthy. "Caramel found it and brought us all here." "How did he sing?" Asked Rarity. "Very badly." They stepped inside. The place was lit up with purple neon lights, a bar was set up on one side of the room while the stage was on the other side and several tables filled the space in between. There were many ponies inside. There were an equal amount of stallions and mares. "Jackpot." Thought Rarity. "Just tell the bartender the song you want to sing." Said Noteworthy. The two approached the bar. "Ahem." Began Rarity. "Do you have a listof songs?" "Oh yeah." Said The Bartender. The bartender handed Rarity a list. Rarity looked it over and slowly raised an eyebrow. "These are all duets...." Said Rarity. "Anything for one pony?" "Not tonight." Said the Bartender. "Couples nights are duets only. Rarity's eyes widened with shock. "COUPLES NIGHT!?" A few ponies looked at Rarity in confusion. "So your saying that all these stallions are here with mares?" Asked Rarity. "Yep." Noteworthy rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn't know it was couples night..... If you want I can take you home." Said Noteworthy. Rarity managed to keep her calm. "Minor problem, no big deal." Thought Rarity. "Your already here, just sing one song." Rarity cleared her throat. "We came all this way, might as well sing a song." Said Rarity. "Alright then." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy looked at the song list. "How about that one?" Noteworthy pointed to a song on the list. "Sure why not." Rarity and Noteworthy were seated at a table watching a young teenage couple sing a song. Rarity was sipping a piña colada while Noteworthy had a glass of sparkling grape juice. They tried to understand the singing couple but it was rather difficult because the song was in an entirely different language. "I wish I knew what this song was." Said Rarity. "Me too." Added Noteworthy. They finished their song and the ponies in attendance clapped. The couple ran off stage as the bartender spoke into a mic. "Okay singers 5 and 6 please head to the stage." "Thats us." Said Rarity. They took one last sip from their drinks and set them onto the table before trotting onstage. "Ready?" Asked Noteworthy. "I am." Replied Rarity. They each picked up a microphone. Music began playing and a computer screen on the stage started displaying lyrics. Rarity cleared her throat before she began to sing. "You brought the rain and shine into my life." Noteworthy was surprised at Rarity's singing voice. "I know you got to leave, but I'm not surprised....What's the use? Any way, I lose. And there's nothing I can do Wanna know the truth?" "Here, I do...." "I'm already missing you." "And is this really worth saving? If this can't work anymore?" Noteworthy wasn't that bad of a singer either. "And I can see you don't believe, so you'll pack up and leave I can't change it...This is just the way it is! What if our revised his words deep into my soul?" "What if I see her smile, would it make me crave her more?" "What if I heard his voice and it gave me no other choice than to pray?" "Guess this night wasn't completely bad." Thought Rarity. Noteworthy approached Carousel boutique with Rarity. "You have a great singing voice." Said Noteworthy. "Why thank you." Replied Rarity. "Im still really sorry about the whole couples night thing." "Water under the bridge, I had a fun time back there." Rarity opened the door to her boutique and stepped inside. "Good night Noteworthy." "Night." She closed her door and Noteworthy began his walk home. Author's Note I frekin love that song. So yeah this chapter happened fast. YOU CALL THAT A-.......... GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!!!!" Noteworthy sprung upwards, his eyes wide open and face covered in sweat as he ghasped for air. "Thank Luna, it was just a dream...." Noteworthy got out of bed an looked out of his bedroom window. It was still night time. "Sigh....... I have to get some sleep." Noteworthy got back into his bed and looked at the ceiling. "You don't need it, music is your skill....." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy slowly closed his eyes and drifted back into sleep. Five hours later Rarity poured herself a cup of coffee as Sweetie belle sat at the table, finishing her bowl of cereal. "Dont stay out with your friends too long." Said Rarity. "I have a fun little activity for us to do together later." "Alright sis." Said Sweetie belle. The young unicorn got out of her chair and walked towards the door. "Two hours." Said Rarity. "Got it!" Sweetie belle left the house. Rarity smiled to herself. "Fillies these days." Rarity took a sip of her coffee. "I shouldn't keep Noteworthy waiting too long." "Meow." Rarity looked down and saw her beloved cat, opalescent standing by her hooves. "Alright opal, lets get you some breakfast." Said Rarity. Rarity took another sip of coffee as Opal purred in delight. After Rarity had finished her coffee and fed Opal, she slipped on her saddlebag and headed to Noteworthy's house. Rarity approached Noteworthy's house and knocked on the door. "One sec!" Called Noteworthy. Noteworthy opened the door and let Rarity inside. "Morning Rarity." "Morning." Noteworthy led Rarity towards a nearby closet. "I got some extra paper in here." Said Noteworthy. "We just have to move some things." Noteworthy opened the closet, revealing several boxes inside. "Do you need any help moving them?" Asked Rarity. "Sure." Replied Noteworthy. "Its the one labeled paper. Rarity and Noteworthy began taking boxes out and setting them aside. "Could have sworn it was in that spot....." Muttered Noteworthy. "Maybe I moved it back a bit......." Rarity removed a medium sized blue box. "This one looks different from the others." Thought Rarity. She set it down and looked at it. "Think I see it." Muttered Noteworthy. Rarity slowly opened the blue box, her eyes widened upon seeing its contents. "Whats this?" Inside the box was a set of royal guard armor that was small enough for a foal to wear. Rarity picked up the armor's helmet from the box using magic. "Who does Noteworthy have this?" Noteworthy grabbed the paper box and turned to face Rarity. "I found-" Noteworthy noticed the helmet and set the box down. "Rarity?" Rarity noticed that Noteworthy was looking at her and she dropped the helmet in surprise. "Oh im sorry I didn't mean to snoop around." Noteworthy walked up to Rarity. "Its alright, its just memories." Noteworthy picked up the helmet. "Old memories." Rarity raised an eyebrow. "Why do you have a small set of armor?" Asked Rarity. "It was a costume." Replied Noteworthy. "Believe it or not I wanted to be in the royal guard when I was younger." Rarity looked at noteworthy in surprise. "You in the guard? I never would have thought." "Yeah....." Said Noteworthy. "My grandpa was a guard, my uncle was a guard, my father took basic training but he never fully joined." "So what stopped you from joining?" Asked Rarity. Noteworthy sighed. "I wasn't strong enough, and I was a wimp." Rarity put a hoof on Noteworthy's shoulder. "Im sorry to hear that." Said Rarity. "Its all in the past." Said Noteworthy. "But sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like if they accepted me." Rarity opened the paper box with magic and began putting sheets into her saddlebag. "Thanks for the paper." Said Rarity. "Thanks for the conversation." Said Noteworthy. Rarity left with her paper as Noteworthy looked at the helmet. "Felt good talking to somepony about that." Thought Noteworthy. "But I do have to wonder what Rarity needed that paper for." Noteworthy began putting the boxies back into the closet. Rarity sat at Lyra's desk with a sheet of paper in front of her. Lyra and Bonbon stood next to her. "Now we just have to handle the details." Said Lyra. "Time, Place, That sort of thing?" Asked Rarity. "And what you want the posters to say." Added BonBon. "Let me think about that." Said Rarity. She put her hoof to her chin. "I'm getting a few ideas." Noteworthy was sitting in the Ponyville park with his friend, Comet tail. "Celestia im glad I finished that commission." Said Noteworthy. "Ive been cooped up in the house for days." "So whats your next big song going to be?" Asked Comet tail. "Well the commission paid pretty good, so I decided to take the rest of this week, plus next week off to relax." Replied Noteworthy. "Thats not a bad Idea." Said Comet tail. Noteworthy got up. "Im gunna treat myself to a massage at the spa." Said Noteworthy. "See ya tonight? "Maybe." Replied Comet tail. "Might do some extra stargazing tonight." "Well catch ya later then." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy trotted away. "So that's it." Said Rarity. She had finished designing the flyer. "Yep." Replied Lyra. "We can start making copies and give them to one of our pegasus friends to spread throughout Ponyville." Bonbon takes the flyer and looks it over. "Your doing it tomorrow?" Asked Lyra. "Yes." Replied Rarity. "I have an order of vests to work on, and I need to help Applejack with her annual harvest in about two days." Rarity shuddered at the thought of the harvest. "Dirt everywhere." Thought Rarity. "We'll meet you at the boutique to help set up." said Lyra. Rarity got up. "I must get going, I have something to do." Said Rarity. "Alright." Began Lyra. "See you around." Rarity trotted out the front door. Noteworthy stepped inside his house. "I should Probably feed Melody now." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy walked upstairs and slowly opened the door to his room. As he stepped inside, his eyes widened. Lying on his bed was Rarity, smiling at him. "Rarity?" "There you are darling." Said Rarity. Rarity stepped off the bed and walked up to Noteworthy. "W-Why are you in my ro-" Noteworthy was cut off when Rarity got uncomfortably close to him. "Ssshhhh." Rarity grabbed his head with her hooves. "Don't talk dearie." "Dearie? W-" Noteworthy couldn't finish his response. Rarity quickly pressed her lips against his, making a large blush form on Noteworthy's face. After what felt like hours, Rarity broke the kiss, allowing Noteworthy to breathe. "..... Why did you..... Rarity?" Rarity continued to smile. "Whats the matter? Didn't you like it?" "Well I-" Noteworthy's eyes shot open. He was lying on the Ponyville Spa's massage table. The two spa ponies, Aloe and Lotus were staring at him. "You must have been tired." Said Aloe. "You fell asleep during your massage." Noteworthy raised an eyebrow. "That was a dream?" He thought to himself. "Perhaps the massage was too relaxing." Said Lotus. Noteworthy got off the massage table. "I should get going." Said Noteworthy. "See you next time." Noteworthy made his way towards the exit. "Should we tell him that he forgot to pay?" Asked Lotus. "No. We just charge him double next time." Replied Aloe. Author's Note That took awhile. Im going to take a break so I can find a way to make this story more known.
Chapter 4View OnlineLike notes of diamondsChapter 4Rarity returned home to find Sweetie Belle reading a book in the boutique. "Your back early." Said Rarity. "We finished up early." Replied Sweetie Belle. "So whats this thing were going to do?" Rarity gestured for her sister to follow her upstairs, where she led Sweetie belle into the room where she makes her dresses. "I just got an order from sweet apple acres." Said Rarity. "Applejack wants me to make vests to help organize her field hands during the harvest." Rarity levitated a box of fabrics from the other side of the room towards herself. "I was thinking that we could do it together." "Alright sis!" Said Sweetie belle, pleased that her sister wants to do an activity with her. Rarity smiled. "Then we best get started." That evening, Noteworthy sat in the Salt lick at his usual table with his friends, Comet Tail, Thunderlane, Pokey, and Soarin, his last friend Caramel was not around for some reason. "Wonder where Mel is." Said Pokey. "Guess he's not coming tonight." Said Noteworthy. Thunderlane took a sip of his drink. "So I heard theres a speed dating thing tomorrow." Said Thunderlane. "Really?" Asked Soarin. "I think Note and Comet should go." Said Thunderlane. Comet tail raised an eyebrow. "I'm meeting a friend tomorrow." Said Comet Tail. "And I'm foal sitting." Said Noteworthy. Pokey took a sip of his soda. "Who are you sitting for?" Asked Pokey. "Rarity wants me to watch her little sister." Replied Noteworthy. "I heard you and her went to couples night at that karaoke place." Said Thunderlane. "She wanted to go, we didn't know it was couples night." "I also heard you guys were one of the better performances there." Added Thunderlane. "Sounds romantic." Soarin chuckled and hoof-bumped Thunderlane. "Shes just a friend guys." Said Noteworthy. "Mares and stallions can be friends." "Note has a point." Said Comet Tail. "Thunderlane has Flitter and Cloudchaser for friends." Thunderlane rolled his eyes. "Just saying." Pokey downed the last of his beverage. "I have to head in now." Said Pokey. "I'm taking pinkie for breakfast tomorrow." Pokey got up and left. "I need to get back too." Said Comet Tail. "I have to study the stars." Comet tail finished his drink and left. Soarin downed his beverage and flew out. "And then there was two." Said Thunderlane. "So Note, the guys will be at that harvest party in a few days, we should do something just so we don't get bored that night." "Maybe we could go bowling." Suggested Noteworthy. Thunderlane looked around before leaning close to Noteworthy and talking in a low tone. "I shouldn't be saying this, but the weather ponies are planning an unscheduled rainstorm that night, only us weather ponies know about it. " Noteworthy took a sip of his drink. "Shouldn't they tell the other ponies?" Asked Noteworthy. "The head of the weather team-" "You mean Rainbow Dash." "Yeah.... She ordered us to keep it top secret as payback for the mayor denying the Wonderbolts to have a show here. Something about it not worth the funding." Noteworthy finished his drink. "Thanks for the heads up, but I have to go." Noteworthy got up and slipped his saddlebags on. "Have fun foalsitting your mare-friend's sister." Said Thunderlane jokingly. Noteworthy glared at him and left. "Shes just a friend." Thought Noteworthy. "Right?" Noteworthy walked into his home and set his bags on the table. "Think I'll turn in early." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy walked upstairs to his room and laid down on the bed, allowing sleep to take over. Princess Rarity paced around the throne room, waiting for her knight to arrive. "Oh what is taking so long?" Thought Rarity. "Im here milady." Rarity turned around to find her knight standing right behind her. "Brave knight!" Rarity hugged the knight. "You have returned!" "Of course I would princess." Said the Knight. "Is it time for me to see you without your helmet?" Asked Rarity. "Almost." Said the Knight. "When?" "Tomorrow." Said the Knight. The knight turned to leave. "Wait!" Cried Rarity. "Stay awhile longer!" "I cannot Princess." Said the Knight. "Im needed elsewhere." The knight trotted out of the room, leaving a disappointed Rarity. Noteworthy awoke to the smell of pancakes. "Pancakes?" Muttered Noteworthy. "Who is making pancakes?" Noteworthy went downstairs to find rarity sitting at his table with two plates of pancakes. "Rarity?" "Your awake, please sit down." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy shrugged and took a seat at the table, picking up a nearby fork. "So why are you in my house?" Asked Noteworthy. "Oh I thought I would do something for my good Friend Noteworthy." Began Rarity. "We are friends right?" "Of course." Said Noteworthy, taking a bite of his pancake. "Good friends?" Noteworthy swallowed. "I'd say so." "How about, more than friends? Noteworthy froze up. "What?" Rarity giggled as she slid her chair closer to Noteworthy. "Do you love me?" "Uh..... Well..... I.....-" Rarity put her hoof over his mouth. "Because I love you." Rarity kissed him on the cheek, making the blue stallion blush. "I........-" "Your so silly sometimes." Said Rarity, holding back a laugh. "Im sure you will figure that out tomorrow." Noteworthy woke up gasping for air. "Another dream?" Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy looked around. Melody flew onto his back and tweeted happily. "Im sure you would like her Melody." Said Noteworthy. There was a knock at the door. "Must be her." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy opened the door. Standing outside was Sweetie Belle. "Hey there." Said Noteworthy. "Hi!" "Come on in." Sweetie belle walked in as Noteworthy closed the door behind her. At Carousel Boutique, Rarity, Lyra, And Bon Bon set up for the speed dating. Rarity sat at a table with a clock on it, Bon Bon stood by the door wearing sunglasses, and Lyra stood next to Rarity levitating a clipboard with her magic. "Everything is set." Said Lyra. "Bonnie are they here?" Bon Bon took a look through a nearby window. Outside several stallions waited in line at the boutique. "Yep, the stallions are here." "Lets begin then." Said Rarity. "Send in the first one." Sweetie Belle sat at the table Drawing while Noteworthy sat on the opposite end, writing a song. Sweetie belle looked at Noteworthy and raised an eyebrow. "Whatcha doing?" Asked Sweetie Belle. "Writing a song." Replied Noteworthy. "Could I sing it?" Noteworthy chuckled. "Its not that kind of song Sweetie Belle." Sweetie belle Sighed. "Do you have any songs you can sing?" "I do." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy got up and gestured for Sweetie Belle to follow. The white filly smiled and followed Noteworthy. A brown stallion took a seat in front of Rarity. "So what is your name?" Asked Rarity. "Im sandy, sandy dunes." Said the Stallion. "Interesting name." "I work at a beach." "So are you a lifeguard?" Asked Rarity. "No, I clean the sand." Sandy shook his head, causing sand to fly around the room. Rarity looked at him horrified. "........ I don't think this is going to work out." Said Rarity. Sandy sighed and left. "Next." Said Rarity. Noteworthy led Sweetie Belle into his music room. "Wow." Said Sweetie Belle as she looked at the instruments. She ran around the room, taking in the sights of the instruments. "Theres so many!" Noteworthy smiled. "When your a songwriter you tend to have alot of instruments." Said Noteworthy. Sweetie Belle took a flute out of its case and prepared to play it. "Please don't play with that." Said Noteworthy. Sweetie Belle stopped and put the instrument back. "Sorry." "Its ok, just be careful." Began Noteworthy. "Most of these cost alot of bits." "Like that one?" Sweetie Belle pointed at the saxaphone. "That one was free." Said Noteworthy. "But its priceless to me." A red stallion sat in front of Rarity. "Thank you for coming, but im afraid im not too fond of monster truck drivers." Said Rarity. "I understand." Said the Stallions. He got up and left. "At least he was a good sport about it." Said Lyra. "Next." Bon bon opened the door and a stallion with a green hat ran in, a stallion Rarity recognized. "Hayseed?" Hayseed took a seat at the desk. "Howdy Rarity!" Began Hayseed. "Ah haven't you since Canterlot!" "With good reason." Thought Rarity. "So can I be your stallionfriend!?" Rarity smiled nervously. "Well...... Im.......- SECURITY!" Bon bon picked up Hayseed and threw him out the door. "BEAT IT!" Bon bon slammed the door. "Everything alright?" Asked Lyra. Rarity groaned. "I need a painkiller and an iced tea." Noteworthy dug through a filing cabinet in his music room, taking out a piece of sheet music. "This one has lyrics." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy passed the paper to Sweetie Belle. "This looks pretty good." Said Sweetie Belle. "Thanks." Noteworthy took a triangle off of its stand and set it in front of Sweetie Belle. "You can try this instrument." Sweetie Belle squeed and picked it up. She began to play the triangle, getting a small chuckle out of Noteworthy. "I take it you like music." Said Noteworthy. "I guess." Replied Sweetie Belle. Noteworthy looked at his saxophone and smiled. Rarity sighed as another Stallion left. "Is there anypony in this town whose good for me?" Muttered Rarity. Bon Bon let the next pony in. He was a well built white stallion with a red mane. "Is this the speed dating?" Rarity grinned widely. "Why yes it is, please take a seat." The stallion sat down. "I must say you look ravishing miss...." "Rarity." Rarity blushed lightly, but her mement was short lived. "I KNOW YOUR IN THERE!!!!!" A mare swung the door open, knocking Bon Bon away and angrily approached the Stallion. "You........" The stallion smiled nervously. "Hi honey." The mare slapped him. "I leave for five minutes and you go HITTING ON ANOTHER MARE!!!!!!" "Baby its not what it-" The mare dragged the stallion away. "Call me!" Shouted the Stallion. The mare slammed the door as she left, leaving a disappointed and confused Rarity. "The heck just happened?" Asked Lyra. Bon Bon got up and adjusted her sunglasses. "Next." Groaned Rarity. Sweetie belle continued to play the triangle until there was a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy approached the front door and opened it. Standing outside was two fillies, and orange pegasus and a yellow earth pony. "Is Sweetie Belle here?" Asked The pegasus. Sweetie belle walked up to the door and smiled. "Scootaloo? Applebloom? How did you find me?" "Oh Rarity told us." Replied Scootaloo. "She was kinda busy at the boutique." Said Applebloom. "Does she have a sale on stallions apparel today?" "Don't think so." Said Sweetie Belle. "Come on." Said Scootaloo. "Were finishing the go-kart." Sweetie Belle looked at Noteworthy. "Can I go with them?" "I don't see why not." Said Noteworthy. "Just stay out of trouble." Sweetie belle and her friends left in a hurry. "Wonder what that filly meant with the Boutique." Thought Noteworthy. "You would think all the stallions would be at that speed dating thing." The realization hit Noteworthy like a sack of bricks. "Dear Celestia." Noteworthy bolted out the door as fast as he could. Rarity yawned. "We have to be almost done." Said Rarity. "I think so." Said Lyra. "Send in the next one please." Before Bon Bon could open the door, Noteworthy swung it open and stepped in. Rarity looked at him surprised. "Noteworthy?" "Rarity why are you speed dating?" Rarity gulped. "W-Wheres Sweetie Belle?" "With her friends." Replied Noteworthy. "Please answer my question." Rarity sighed. "Lyra, Bon Bon..... Could you ask the remaining stallions to leave?" Asked Rarity. The two mares stepped outside. "Its just that..... My friends are all finding their special someponies..... And I'd like to find mine." Noteworthy took a deep breath. "This isn't the way to find your special somepony..." Said Noteworthy. "I'd say, none of the stallions were my type." Rarity chuckled. "I should probably clean up." Said Rarity. "Sounds like A good idea." Replied Noteworthy. "See you later I guess." Said Rarity. "See ya." Noteworthy stepped out of the boutique. Rarity sighed as she stirred her tea. "I hate that Noteworthy had to see me like that." Thought Rarity. "Was I really that desperate?" There was a knock at the door. "Hm, who could that be?" Muttered Rarity. Rarity answered the door. Outside stood her neighbor Caramel and his friend Lucky. "Ah, Caramel good to see you." Greeted Rarity. Rarity turned to look at Lucky. "Lucky, why I haven't seen you in awhile." "Always nice to see you." Replied Lucky. "Were here to pick up a package for Applejack." Said Caramel. "Oh yes, I assumed she would pick it up herself." Said Rarity. "Then again she does have a coltfriend now, so she has been occupied." Rarity's happy face turned to one of annoyance. "He is kind of stuck up though....." Mumbled Rarity. "He is quite foul though." Thought Rarity. Rarity stepped inside and the two stallions followed. "Place hasn't changed a bit." Said Lucky. "Not since you lived with Caramel." Replied Rarity. Rarity picked up a large package with magic and levitated it in front of them. "Must say I did a fine job with these." Said Rarity. "Also Applejack said that none of you are to view its contents." Caramel put the package on his back while lucky tied it down. It was surprisingly light. "See you at the Harvest Party tomorrow." Said Caramel. "Maybe I'll see you tonight." Said Rarity. "Also say hello to Noteworthy for me." The two stallions left the boutique, Rarity's eyes widened. "Noteworthy? Why am I caring about Noteworthy like this now?" Thought Rarity. Rarity yawned. "I need some rest." Rarity walked upstairs Author's Note TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE NIGHT! Other than Rainbow Dash using a sonic rainboom to loosen apples (which also resulted in Applejack nearly getting run over by a wagon.), everything went well. Except for Rarity's coat that is. Rarity stepped into her home covered in dirt. "How degrading." Muttered Rarity She walked upstairs and into her bathroom. "A mare should not be this dirty." Rarity turned on her bathtub faucet. "I need to clean up before the party. Rarity stepped into the tub and began to clean herself. Noteworthy sat at his table, listening to a song that was playing on his record player, while stirring a cup of tea. "I cant believe she resorted to speed dating." Muttered Noteworthy. Noteworthy took a sip of his tea. "And why am I so worked up over this?" Noteworthy looked at the floor. "Why does it bother me so much?" Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy took another sip of tea. Princess Rarity walked around the castle courtyard. "He must be here..... He must." Muttered Rarity. "My princess...." Rarity quickly spun around, the knight was standing right behind her. "My knight!" Rarity hugged the knight tightly. "Is it finally time?" "It is." Rarity squealed in delight. "Let me see the face of my knight in shining armor!" Rarity slowly lifted his helmet up with magic, gasping at what she saw. Nothing. There was no dead underneath the helmet., only air. "B-Brave knight?" Before her eyes, the knight fell apart into a pile of armor. "No...." Rarity fell into her knees and began to cry. "No....." She burried her head in the pile of armor that once held hope and her knight. "NO!!!" Rarity's tears fell faster. Rarity awoke in her tub, her coat all cleaned from her bath. "Must have fell asleep in the tub." Said Rarity. Noteworthy knocked on Thunderlane's door. "Its me!" The door opened and Thunderlane stepped outside. "Note, ready to bowl?" Asked Thunderlane. "Yep." He replied. The two began their walk to the bowling alley. "So when will that rain start?" Asked Noteworthy. "Good news is not untill later tonight." Began Thunderlane. "Bad news is that it will go on until the morning." "Hate to be stuck out there." Muttered Noteworthy. Rarity knocked on the door to a barn on sweet apple acres. "Come in!" Called a southern voice. Rarity stepped inside. The apples were setting up for the harvest party. Rarity spotted Applejack talking with the others. "Hey girls!" Called Rarity. Her friends turned to look at her. "Rare, ya made it." Said Applejack. "Darling I wouldnt miss this for the world." Rarity approached the group. "Were just finishing things up." Said Applejack. "Then we gotta wait fer the other guests." Rainbow Dash looked around. "Soarin should be here soon." Muttered Rainbow Dash. "Think he's heading up with Pokey." Said Pinkie Pie. "Why do they have wonderful stallions while im alone." Thought Rarity. Twilight looked at the recently set up refreshment table. "Im going for a drink." Twilight trotted up towards the table. Noteworthy rolled his ball, taking four pins. "Not too bad." Said Thunderlane. Thunderlane reached for a thing of nachos and took a mouthful of chips. "I can do better." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy got another ball from a nearby ball rack. "Watch and learn." Noteworthy send the ball down the lane and knoched over four more pins. "Aint a strike." Said Thunderlane. "Shut up." Said Noteworthy jokingly. Thunderlane got up and prepared for his turn. "Wonder how Rarity is at bowling." Thought Noteworthy. "There I go thinking about her again." Thunderlane rolled a perfect strike "Show off." Rarity had been at the party for about 3 hours. Durring that time she had lost sight of Applejack, Twilight, and Rainbow Dash. But at the same time, more ponies had arrived at the party. Rarity leaned against the wall of the barn, holding a cup of cider with magic. "I must wonder where Applejack went." Thought Rarity. Rarity took a sip of her drink. "I could use some fresh air." Rarity stepped outside the barn and walked to the right of where she left. "Must be sad for her." Thought Rarity. "Her colt friend is all the way in canterlot while shes here alone." As she she reached the back of the barn and saw Rainbow Dash sitting on a barrel, drinking a mug of cider. "There you are Rainbow." Said Rarity. Rarity took a seat on a barrel nearby and took a sip of her drink. "Too crowded in there for ya?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Just needed some air." Replied Rarity. "Where is Soarin at?" "Bathroom." Said Rainbow Dash. "While I have you here, do you know where a Applejack is?" Asked Rarity. "Don't think shes in a talking mood Rare." Said Rainbow Dash. "Something happened between her and Vineyard." Rarity was surprised. "Did they...... Break up?" "Yep." Rarity smiled. "She deserved better anyways." "I hear that." The two toasted glasses and took a sip of their own drink. "Guess this means only you, AJ, and Twi dont have stallions." Said Rainbow Dash. "I suppose that is- Wait, what about Fluttershy?" "Saw her heading somewhere with Big Mac." Began Rainbow Dash. "She was walking pretty close to him." Rarity got up. "Think I'll head back in Now." Rarity made her way towards the barn entrance, not noticing Rainbow Dash flying off. "How could Fluttershy find a stallion before me?" Thought Rarity. Noteworthy slipped on his saddlebag as Thunderlane did the same with his own bag. "Two out of three games aint bad." Said Thunderlane. "Thanks." "I gotta get started on that storm now." Said Thunderlane. "It would be a good idea to head home now." "I would actually like to take a walk." Said Noteworthy. "Might want this then." Thunderlane took a fold up umbrella from his saddlebag and handed it to Noteworthy. "Thanks." "Don't mention it." Thunderlane stepped outside and took off into the air. "Maybe I can do my walk before the storm." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy walked outside and began his walk. Rarity sat outside the barn door, she was getting bored with the party inside. "Howdy Rare." Rarity quickly looked to the source of the voice. It was Applejack, standing in front of her with a smile on her face. Caramel was standing beside her. "Applejack!" Rarity got up and smiled at her friend. "I head about Vineyard and I'm-" "Ah'm over it Rarity." Interrupted Applejack. Rarity was taken back by her response. "That was fast." Said Rarity. "Ah had help getting over him." Applejack smiled at Caramel. "Lets head in hon, everypony must be worried sick." Said Applejack. "Hon?" Thought Rarity. "Lets." Said Caramel. The two earth exchanged a quick kiss and stepped inside, leaving a flabbergasted Rarity. "Shes not just over him....... She found somepony else!" Thought Rarity. Rarity got up and walked away from the barn. "Me and Twi are the last two single ponies in the group." Muttered Rarity. "I must figure out what to do." Rarity reached the dark streets of Ponyville, looking for her way home. "These streets are always hard to follow after dark." Muttered Rarity. Rarity felt a drop of water hit her shoulder and froze up. "What in the-" Before she could finish rain began to pour from storm clouds in the sky. Rarity was drenched instantly. "Ah!" She screamed. "Im soaked!" Rarity looked around frantically and saw a pink glow in the distance. "That looks like Twilight's Magic." Muttered Rarity. She galloped towards the glow. "She could help!" Rarity could clearly see where the glow was coming from and froze up. It was in fact Twilight, but she was not alone. She was accompanied by Comet Tail. Twilight had a magical barrier over themselves as a makeshift umbrella. The two were deep in conversation and Didn't notice Rarity. "Why is that?" Thought Rarity. Twilight laughed at something Comet Said, making the yellow unicorn blush slightly. "They seem to be friendly." Twilight nuzzled Comet as the pair continued their walk. Rarity watched with her jaw dropped. "T-Twilight?" Rarity fell to her knees, Twilight and Comet had vanished from her field of view. "She has a stallion-friend." Rarity couldn't stop herself from crying. "Im the last single pony in the group......" Rarity cried harder as the rain poured.

"Wonder how long the rain will last." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy stopped at an alleyway. There were sobbing noises coming from it. "Hm?" Noteworthy stepped into the Alley. "Anypony there?" He called. Noteworthy followed the sobbing to its source and ghasped. Sitting on the ground drenched to the bone was Rarity. She was sobbing and her makeup was running. "R-Rarity?" Rarity looked up at Noteworthy. "Noteworthy? What are you doing out in this weather?" "Taking a stroll." He replied. "Are you alright?" "Its been a long night." Said Rarity, her sobbing now gone. "You need me to walk you home?" Asked Noteworthy. Rarity put on a small smile. "That would be marvelous." Rarity got up and stayed close to Noteworthy as they walked out of the alley. Once they reached the Boutique, Rarity unlocked the door and let herself and Noteworthy inside. "Thanks again for walking me home." Said Rarity. Noteworthy closed his umbrella and set his saddlebags by a coat rack. "No problem." Replied Noteworthy. "That rain was awfully chilly." Said Rarity. "Would you like some hot tea?" "That would be great." Said Noteworthy. Rarity made her way to the kitchen and grabbed a teapot from a nearby cabinet. "It really was nice of Noteworthy to walk me home." Thought Rarity. Rarity filled the pot with water, set it on the stove, and turned the burner on. "It was very nobel of him." Rarity froze up. "Noble...... Like a knight...." Rarity shook her head. "No, Noteworthy isn't my knight in shining armor." Thought Rarity. Rarity stepped out of the kitchen and looked at Noteworthy as he examined some framed pictures she had on the walls. "But he is a looker...." Rarity shook her head again and approached Noteworthy. Noteworthy turned his attention away from the pictures and towards her. "Whats the time?" Asked Noteworthy. Rarity looked at a nearby wall clock, almost midnight. "Almost Midnight." Replied Rarity. Noteworthy's eyes widened slightly. "Pretty late." "Yeah...." Said Rarity. "She tapped her hoof to the ground for a few seconds before continuing to talk. "Your more than welcome to stay here the night." Said Rarity, smiling. "I don't want to be a bother..." "Nonsense." Said Rarity. "Its the least I could do." "Well thats very kind of you." Said Noteworthy. Rarity heard the teapot go off from the kitchen. "Thats the tea." Rarity stepped back into the kitchen to finish her tea. Two hours later both ponies were sound asleep, Rarity in her bed and Noteworthy on Rarity's couch. Both were dreaming of similar things. Princess Rarity sat on the floor, surrounded by the parts to her "knight's" armor. Tears were dripping down her face. "How could this happen......" Muttered Rarity. "Rarity?" Rarity quickly turned around. Standing behind her dressed as a mid-evil musician was Noteworthy. "Noteworthy?" "What happened here?" Asked Noteworthy. "The brave knight....... Hes gone...." Replied Rarity. Noteworthy stepped closer to Rarity. "Maybe you don't need a knight." Rarity turned her head in confusion. "What?" Noteworthy cleared his throat. "Maybe you don't need a brave Rarity." Began Noteworthy. "But all the other princess have knights-" "Your not a princess Rarity." Said Noteworthy. Rarity took a step back. "What are you saying?" "Im saying that your not some sort of princess who needs a knight to save you." Explained Noteworthy. Noteworthy approached Rarity and took her crown off. "Your Rarity, the best dressmaker in Ponyville, hay maybe even all of Equestria." The room around Rarity began to shift, it was now no longer a throne room, but instead her sewing room in Carousel Boutique. Both their outfits were gone. "Your better than a princess Rarity." Rarity took as step closer to Noteworthy. "But I went through half of Ponyville yesterday and couldnt find one good pony-" Noteworthy placed his hoof in front of her lips. "Thats not true......" Began Noteworthy. "There is a colt you like, a stallion who you have known for awhile, one who has won your heart without you even realizing it. A stallion who is far better than any knight or prince you could ever find." "W-Who?" Asked Rarity. Noteworthy moved his hoof and moved his muzzle closer to hers. "Me." Before Rarity could respond, Noteworthy pressed his lips against hers and slowly closed his eyes. Rarity was initially shocked, but after a few seconds she returned the kiss. Rarity's eyes shot open as she awoke. It was still night and the rain was pouring harder than before. "That dream........" Rarity got out of bed and made her way downstairs. "Do I really like Noteworthy?" Thought Rarity. "I mean he is smart, has good taste, a sense of class, good looks." Rarity made her way downstairs and found what she was looking for, the sleeping form of Noteworthy. "Maybe I do...... Admire him." Noteworthy looked around, he was in his home. "How did I get back home?" Muttered Noteworthy. Noteworthy looked around and noticed a blue gem on the ground. "Hm?" Noteworthy picked up the gem and examined it. "How did this get here?" Noteworthy noticed a trail of blue gems. "Huh?" Noteworthy followed the trail of gems, the trail lead into his music room. "The music room...." Noteworthy opened the door to his music room and stepped inside. He found himself in a pure white room with a white table in the center. "This isn't my music room." Said Noteworthy. "I know." Noteworthy turned around. Standing behind him was Rarity. "Hello there love." Rarity approached Noteworthy's sleeping form. "He looks so peaceful....." Muttered Rarity. She gently caressed his face with her hoof, being careful not to wake him. "I wonder how his lips feel.....?" Rarity moved her head closer to his, then quickly pulled away. "What are you thinking Rarity?!" She thought. Rarity looked back at Noteworthy's face. Rarity approached Noteworthy. "Why are you calling me love.!" Asked Noteworthy. "Because I love you." "But it looks so right." Thought Rarity. Rarity walked back over to Noteworthy. "One kiss..... One kiss and I'll be done." Muttered Rarity. Rarity closed her eyes and moved her head towards Noteworthy's muzzle. Noteworthy looked at Rarity. "I think your right...... I do like you." Said Noteworthy. "Your beautiful, you understand me, and your so generous......" Noteworthy sighed. "But your a figment of my imagination." Continued Noteworthy. "The real you wouldn't feel this way about me...." Rarity smirked. "I beg to differ....... Wake up." Noteworthy's shot open as he awoke. He noticed that rarity was kissing him on the lips. In surprise, Noteworthy attempted to yell through the kiss, causing Rarity to open her eyes and realizes that Noteworthy was awake. She broke the kiss and took several steps back, blushing from a mix of embarrassment and shame. "Noteworthy im so sorry,I-" Rarity attempted to explain herself, but Noteworthy didn't listen. Instead a different thought ran through his head "Rarity kissed me." Thought Noteworthy. "She kissed me............ She likes me." Noteworthy got off the couch and approached Rarity. "-And it was the heat of the-" Noteworthy placed his hoof over Rarity's lips and smiled. "Don't be sorry." Noteworthy removed his hoof, closed his eyes, and kissed her gently on the lips, much to Rarity's surprise. "Hes kissing me." Thought Rarity. "Hes really kissing me!" Rarity closed her eyes and returned the kiss, the only noise in the room was their gentle breathing. The two ponies broke the kiss for air. Rarity nuzzled Noteworthy lovingly. Noteworthy responded with another smile. After so long, Rarity had found what she was looking for.

Noteworthy stopped in front of Ponyville park. "You know I don't like walking this much." Said Rarity. "Don't worry Rare, were almost there." The two walked side by side into the park. "Right over there." Said Noteworthy, pointing to a nearby pond. They stopped in front of the pond. "Okay then." Began Rarity. "What is this big surprise of yours?" Noteworthy smiled. "In two minutes, it will have been three years since we began our relationship." Said Noteworthy. Rarity raised an eye row. "I thought we were celebrating with dinner tomorrow." Said Rarity. "We are." Replied Noteworthy. "Think of this as an extra gift." Noteworthy looked up at the moon. "One minute....." Muttered Noteworthy. "Its not polite to keep a lady waiting." Said Rarity. "Alright then. Close your eyes." Rarity closed her eyes. While they were closed Noteworthy reached into the pond and took a small black box out of it. "You can open them now." Rarity opened her eyes and looked at the box. "Whats this?" Noteworthy cleared his throat. "Even before we became a couple, you filled my days with joy....." Began Noteworthy. "Our love has made that joy grow even more." Rarity smiled at Noteworthy. "Oh Noteworthy....." "Which is why I would like to ask you the most important question of my entire life...." Noteworthy got onto his knees and opened the box. Inside was a silver horn ring with a sky blue gemstone. Rarity gasped. "Would you marry me?" Rarity began to cry tears of joy. "Yes!" "Please don't let it be those awful jailers." Thought Rarity. To her surprise and relief it was a different pony who arrived. He was a stallion her height clad completely in armor, A knight. "Princess Rarity." Said the Knight. "I'm here to rescue you." The Knight took out a set of keys and began to unlock the cell. "What about my captors?" Asked Rarity. "I have dealt with them." The knight opened the cell. "You are free now." Rarity tackled the knight to the ground in a tight hug. "Oh brave knight!" Said Rarity. "You have saved me!" "It was my pleasure most beautiful maiden." Replied The knight. Rarity reached to lift up the Knight's helmet, but his armored hoof pushed it away. "Why do you remove my hoof?" Asked Rarity. "It is not the time for you to see me princess." Replied The knight. "Right now you must- WAKE UP!!!!!!" "What?" Rarity's eyes shot open. "A dream?" Muttered Rarity. "Bout time ya woke up!" Said Voice. Rarity turned and saw her Little sister Sweetie Belle standing next to the bed. "Sweetie belle? What are you doing here?" Asked Rarity. Rarity felt her own stomach growl. "Guess we both could use some food." Said Rarity. Rarity got out of her bed. "Come now sister, I'll make some toast." "Oh boy!" Said Sweetie belle. The two sisters walked down the stairs. Noteworthy sat in his living room with a cup of coffee. Two days have passed since he went to the Karaoke bar with Rarity. "Wonder what I should do." Comet is probably chatting with his writer friend, and I don't even know where to find Soarin." Noteworthy thought back to the karaoke bar. "Rarity was a good singer...... Why am I thinking about this?" Noteworthy took another sip of his coffee and sighed. Sweetie belle and Rarity sat at the kitchen table as they finished their breakfast. "Thanks sis." "But Ive been asked to perform for a charity down in Las Pegasus, and I wanted a new song for it. Problem was I have been distracted by my most recent concert tour." "I see where you are getting at." Said Rarity. Rarity paused for a moment. "This may seem odd of me to ask.... , but do you know anything about finding a nice stallion?" Sapphire shores smiled. "Looking for a stallion are we?" Rarity blushed lightly. "Well one of my backup dancers got herself a coltfriend through one of those speed dating things." Said Sapphire. "You could try that." "That might work." Rarity smiled. Noteworthy sat in his living room as Melody flew around the room, the song he had been writing was next to him. "Client should be here pretty soon." Said Noteworthy. Melody landed on Noteworthy's shoulder and started tweeting. There was a knock on the door. Knock Knock. Noteworthy got up an walked to the front door, Melody still on his shoulder. Slowly he opened the door, revealing Sapphire shores on the other side. "Miss shores." "Is my song ready?" Noteworthy handed her the song and she looked it over. "Hm...... Fits in with the charity and its Catchy." Said Sapphire. "I like this." "Thank you." Said Noteworthy. "I have your payment right here." Said Sapphire. Sapphire shores took out a small bag od bits and gave it to Noteworthy. "This looks like more than we agreed on." "Well I think you earned some extra bits with this song." Replied Sapphire. "Hope we do business again some time. Sapphire shores walked away with her song as Noteworthy looked at his sack of bits. "This is much more than our agreed payment." Said Noteworthy. "I could take a break from work for a week." Melody happily tweeted. "Yeah, I could use the break." Noteworthy set the sack of bits on his coffee table and smiled. "Definitely wouldn't be doing this good if I had been accepted into the Academy." Rarity sat on her bed, sketching out designs for dresses while thinking to herself about her speed dating plan. "I have most of the things I need..... But I still need somepony to help with the speed dating and another to watch Sweetie belle." Rarity but a hoof to her chin. "Of course!" Said Rarity. "Lyra and Bon bon owe me a couple favors, I could have them help me with The speed dating." Rarity sighed. "That still leaves Sweetie belle........" Thought Rarity. She got up and looked out her window. "Maybe Fluttershy could watch her......." Rarity looked at the several ponies running about outside of the boutique. "Bet most of them have special someponies." Thought Rarity. The white mare walked downstairs into the kitchen. "Think i'll get sone fresh air and Talk to Fluttershy." Said Rarity. " Rarity grabbed a piece of paper from a nearby counter and picked up a pencil with magic. She began to write a note. Sweetie belle, Went out for a little bit. Don't know when I'll be home. Theres a sandwich in the refrigerator if you get hungry. She set the note on the counter and walked into the Boutique. "Hopefully I wont be gone too long." She grabbed her saddlebag and walked out the front door. Rarity approached Fluttershy's cottage and knocked on the door. "Fluttershy are you here?" The door slowly creaked open and Fluttershy stepped out. "Hey Rarity." Said Fluttershy. "I wasn't expecting to see you today." "I actually need to ask you a favor." Said Rarity. "Could you watch Sweetie belle in a couple days?" "Oh...... Id love to....... But I cant." Rarity was taken back by her response. "You cant?" "I promised Applejack I would help her with the animals that day..... Please don't be mad at me!" "I understand Fluttershy." Said Rarity. "I'll find somepony else." Fluttershy smiled. "I have some tea brewing, if you want to join me." "I would but I have to make a few more stops." Said Rarity. "See you later." Rarity walked away from the cottage. "Thats a bit of a setback." Thought Rarity. "But I should find Lyra and Bon Bon before It gets late." Rarity walked towards the direction of Ponyville. Noteworthy sat at his kitchen table as he finished his lunch, a hay and daisy sandwich. Then he looked at his clock. "I got awhile before I meet the others at the pub." Said Noteworthy. "Think I'll head out for a stroll." Noteworthy got up and walked outside. "Speed dating?" Said Lyra. Rarity was sitting in the living room of Lyra and Bon bon's house. "Yes." Replied Rarity. "But I need yours and Bon bon's help." "I think we can help." Said Bon bon. "How do you plan to spread the word about it?" Rarity raised an eyebrow. "I never really thought about it." Said Rarity. "Do you have any ideas?" "I make flyers whenever I have a bake sale." Said Bon bon. "I could make some for speed dating if you can get me the paper." "That could work." Said Rarity. She got up from her seat. "I'll bring some over Tomorrow." Said Rarity. "See you then." Rarity left the house. Noteworthy sat in the Ponyville park. "It really is a nice day out." Thought Noteworthy. Noteworthy noticed Rarity walking by. "Hey Rarity." Said Noteworthy. Rarity stopped and looked at Noteworthy. "Hello Noteworthy." She walked over to Noteworthy. "How are you this fine day?" Asked Rarity. "Im good." Replied Noteworthy. A thought crossed Rarity's mind. "Maybe Noteworthy could watch Sweetie belle." Rarity cleared her throat. "Noteworthy, could I ask you a favor?" "What is it?" Asked Noteworthy. "In a couple days I'm going to be busy with something and I was wondering if you could watch my little sister that day." Noteworthy smiled. "Sure thing." Rarity smiled back. "Thank you so much Noteworthy." Began Rarity. "Is there anything else you need?" Asked Noteworthy. Rarity thought it over for a second. "Maybe it would be good if Noteworthy met Sweetie belle before then." Thought Rarity. "She must be back by now." "Actually yes there is." Began Rarity. "I think you should meet my sister before you watch her." "That makes sense." Said Noteworthy. Noteworthy got up. "Lead the way." The two ponies walked towards Carousel Boutique. They approached the boutique. "You would get along well with her." Said Rarity. "She loves music." "You don't say." Rarity opened the door. "Sweetie belle are you home?" Rarity noticed sweetie belle sitting at a nearby table drawing, a stack of papers stood next to her. "Oh hey sis!" Rarity's eyes widened. "Where did you get that paper?" "Your office." Said Sweetie Belle cheerfully. Rarity groaned. "I needed that paper for something of the upmost importance." Said Rarity. "Oh." Said Sweetie belle. Sweetie belle turned her attention to Noteworthy. "Whos this?" Asked Sweetie belle. "This is Noteworthy." Said Rarity. "In a couple days he will be foal sitting you." "Why?" Asked Sweetie belle. "I'll tell you later." Replied Rarity. "Right now I need to find some new paper." Noteworthy looked at the stack of papers. "Looks like the same paper I use." Said Noteworthy. "I have a bunch of it back home." Rarity looked at Noteworthy. "Is it alright If I borrow some?" Asked Rarity. "Sure, just stop by tomorrow when you get the chance." Noteworthy looked at Rarity's clock. "I should be getting home now." Said Noteworthy. "See you later." Noteworthy walked outside. "He seems nice." Said Sweetie belle. "That he is." Added Rarity. "You definitely picked a good Coltfriend." Rarity's eye widened and her face turned red. "S-sweetie belle! Noteworthy is not my Coltfriend! He is a good friend, that is all." "Well its just........ Never mind." Sweetie belle got up and walked away. "Wonder what she was drawing." Thought Rarity. She took a piece of paper from the stack and looked at it. On it was a drawing of her and Sweetie belle in Ponyville park. "Shes getting better at drawing." Thought Rarity.
