Magic and Massages

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Celestia glanced at her emotional sister with concern. That escalated quickly. The rather perceptive human had set things in motion a bit faster than would have been expected. Oh well. After things ended, a stunned human stood still as she decided it was time break the awkward atmosphere.

"Well. Okay Luna, let's put the day to rest."

"Oh! Um, of course. Let's." Luna stammered.

As I stood trying to figure out what exactly had just happened, the two princesses took their respective places on the ancient stone dais in front of me. The air seemed to tremble with the sheer force of magic emanating from the two immortal beings before us. It thickened and began to glow; the deep blue haze of Luna's making was mixing with the bright silver of her sister's. The blue sky began to fade to a deep purple, and the stars began to wink into existence. The moon appeared; it was full tonight, and everything began to be lit by the pale white light of its ghastly glow. Somehow, as the solar princess seemed strongly radiant during the day, the lunar princess seemed to shimmer and shine with an aura of strength as the stars do in the night.

Breathing the magic-filled air, I would have expected my exhalations to glow slightly. What I did not expect is the previous whitish-bluish-gray aura to be replaced by a pale, transparent mirage-like sheen of silvery-white after the air had ceased glowing.

Celestia was first to comment. She prefaced her statement with a giggle. "Someone's latent magic is waking up a bit."

Okay. I give up. Since *CELESTIA** says so, I guess I do have magic tucked away somewhere deep inside*. Of course Twilight had to be there to rub this in.

"I told you so!" She said in a sing-song tone.

"Fill me in, Twilight," requested the solar princess, out of the loop.

"Well you see, Princess," she began in a smug, but unoffensively so, tone, "I bet him that you would confirm in some way that he's magical. He didn't believe me; he says where he comes from, nopony's magical."

"Really? I thought you knew all along," she directed at me.

"I give up. I guess I'm wrong."

Celestia decided to let me in on something. "You know, there's ways to free your magic so you can use it. But the feeling can be intense, so I'm told. Probably the most relaxing way is through a massage." She hesitated, probably a bit hesitant to explain the process-- which involved lots of technical terms-- due to the likely chance the meanings would be lost on me, before continuing. "With a bit of accupressure, one can loosen up the blocks in the metaphysical pathways, which lets the magic flow. It's mostly for unicorns who are tense and stressed, but seeing how your anatomy is quite similar to ours, I'm sure we can adapt it."

This was intriguing news; while I was tempted, I was not entirely sure of what the result would be. Being human, I decided to take this opportunity because it was there.

"Princess, while this fascinates me, it also scares me a bit. I'm not entirely sure of this; but I think I'm going to accept."

The solar princess smiled. "Well, alright then. I'm going to need a practiced masseuse for you. Fluttershy?"

She turned to face the now startled pink and yellow pony, who was cowering. "Y-yes, Princess?" she said shakily.

"I'd like you to be my masseuse."

"M-m-me?" eked Fluttershy. "But I've never done a massage on a human before! I'm not even that good on ponies!"

Celestia encouraged her. "Oh, come now Fluttershy. You give great massages! All your friends think so!"

On cue, AJ, Twilight, Rainbow, Rarity, and Pinkie all nodded.

"Ohh, well, alright then."

"Great!" beamed Celestia. "Now follow me..."

Finding myself standing next to what seemed a fantastically soft piece of furniture, which appeared to have been made for a pony to lay on, the solar princess instructed me to remove my shirt. I did so. Being made for ponies, the massage table was too short. I simply found another and put the foot of it to the foot of the one I had been standing to previously, and laid down on the doubled up tables.

"Okay, I'm going to have to get acquainted with how the structure you your back... if that's alright." Fluttershy said this in a rather confident manner. I replied, telling her to go ahead.

Having hooves, like she did, her explorations ending up being a little bit akin to caresses. I again felt uncomfortable; it was like earlier in the day with Rarity and her measuring tape. Like the measuring tape incident, it was soon over, the pale yellow mare obviously finished with her observations.

"Alright, are you ready? I'm going to start now. At first it will be just my two front hooves, and then I'll move on to all of them; seeing your build, I think you can handle my weight. Just relax, and this will go smoothly."

I took a deep breath, and let it out, trying to relax everything as much as I could. All of a sudden, Celestia spoke up.

"I'm going to sing a song. Focus on my voice; it will help you to relax."

After Celestia finished speaking, Fluttershy placed a pair of tentative hooves on my back and began to apply pressure. Celestia began her song.

It was a soothing melody, the words I cannot remember. I began to lose myself in the expert handiwork (hoofdiwork?) of Fluttershy and the soft, warm voice of Celestia. After about a minute, I felt another pair of hooves connect with my back. Somehow the increase in weight was satisfying; it also meant doubled manipulation from the yellow mare, who was extremely modest about her skills; every where her hooves touched, they left a loosened and relaxed muscle behind. It was almost as if my very being was loosening from its corporeal form at the same time, though this could have been from subtle lacings of magic in the wondrous voice of the solar princess. This heavenly time period continued until I felt the only point tying body and spirit together was a single spot near the surface of the skin on my back, which was approximately mid-sternum, if it had been my chest. A soft and familiar warmth was flowing through me, but I couldn't tell if it was through me essence or my body. All of a sudden, a set of hooves all focused themselves on that single point of my spine. The soft warmth intensified to a powerful heat, and I think I fell into some sort of trance, as I can recall no more...
