Storm Rider

Rarity finishes preparing breakfast, several plates of large golden pancakes, while spike and I chat about how the world around here works and what's being going on lately, I figure that compared with the episodes we are a few days away from the return of Trixie, I also learn that it was fluttershy who carried me all the way from her cottage to twilights library and that the other Mane 5 are in the living room deciding what their next move should be now that I have appeared. Rarity calls out "breakfast is ready, would you two go out and get the others for me?" I nod and follow spike through the house to the living room.

When we arrive I get a mixed reaction "a-are you alright" says a concerned fluttershy "you shouldn't be moving around yet" a straightforward twilight "what the hay do yah think yah're doing jus' wanderin' round like ya own the place" an angry applejack "hi you must be new here I'm pinkie" a smile from the party pony and cool stare from an unreadable Rainbow Dash. "Rarity asked us to let you know breakfast is ready" I state simply, before turning and calmly following Spike back to the kitchen, we return to find the table set with eight large plates of pancakes,

I wait for everyone else to sit and then take the leftover seat at the end of the table this lands me with fluttershy to one side and twilight to the other and applejack straight across from me, all throughout the meal she watched me as if I was going to jump up and kill them all with my butter knife, also throughout the breakfast all the mares quizzed me about my identity, my life and how id ended up here, I couldn't tell them much about that last one as even I didnt know. After breakfast I help to clear away the dishes and then just stand at the bench staring out the window, the mane 6 had returned to the living room to continue their discussion and spike had gone to take a nap.

I notice a movement behind me and turn to find myself face to face with rainbow dash, she still had that unreadable expression on her face and she stepped forward even closer so that our faces were only a few centimetres apart, "listen to me Jayce, Applejack doesn't trust you and neither do I" she dug her fingers into my upper arms "I look after my friends no matter what, so if you wanna try anything just remember that I'll be there watching you" with this she released my arms spun on her heel and walked calmly out if the kitchen, I rubbed gingerly at my arms, my fingers brushed something soft, oh my god how could I forget these?! I had been so caught up in the moment that I had forgotten my wings! I quickly rushed outside and leaped into the air, I unfurled my wings, felt the glorious wind in my face....

And smacked into the ground, hard, I picked myself up off the ground and dusted myself off, I heard giggles from behind me and turned to see all of the Mane 6, rainbow was the one laughing "now what's all this here commotion about?" Demanded applejack. "I-I...um... I just remembered my wings and so... I thought I might try them out" I blush and grin sheepishly. That was the last straw Rainbow started laughing so hard she had to clutch onto fluttershy to stop herself from falling  she looked up "you think you can just fly? Just like that? Flying takes hard work and practice" she said between bursts of laughter "oh yeah well how about you teach me then?" I retaliate. Rainbow stops laughing and grins "you're not half bad kid, you're on" I grin back
