The Daughters of Celestia
Prologue
Load Full Story"Oh ,Tia thee art adorable." said Luna, as she looked down at the two sleeping newborn fillies."Hast thou thought of any names yet sister?" she asked in her usual old equestrian accent.
Before Celestia could answer, a tall white alicorn stallion walked in; his mane was a pale blue compared to his regal, white coat. His flank bore a cutie mark of a large snowflake with a small light blue flame in the middle of it.
"I'm so sorry I'm late my darling, Celestia!" he said in a bit of a panic. "Are they here? Have they arrived yet? Am I too late?" he asked with a little more panic than necessary.
"Snowfire ,honey, honestly you've got yourself all worked up. You're right on time. They just arrived; two darling little fillies." Celestia said with a wide motherly smile on her face as she looked down at the two sleeping fillies in her arms.
"Wait......TWINS??!!!!!!!", Snowfire exclaimed loudly.
"Yes, twins. Snowfire, meet your daughters ,Skydancer...", Celestia said holding up the eldest ,a lavender filly with a brown mane and tail, in her magic aura, "...And Seadancer." she said, now holding the younger ,a light blue filly with a blonde mane and tail, in her magical aura.
"Oh! Oh! I want to see the foals!"
"No,I get to see 'em first!"
All of a sudden two colts come barreling into the room tripping one another in a race to get to Celestia first.
"Justin. Triton. Must I remind you again of your princely manners?" Celestia said sternly as two very sorrowful colts stopped wrestling and walked gingerly the rest of the way. There in front of Celestia stood two young colts who had been living here in the castle for two years now. The eldest ,Justin, a unicorn with a red mane and tail, white coat, and a blue four-pointed star cutie mark. The younger, Triton, a Pegasus with a light blue mane and tale, blue coat, and two silver tridents criss-crossing each other to form a "x". "Sorry Celestia." they said in unison.
[size=24]* A YEAR AND A HALF LATER *
The fillies were in their nursery one day playing silently. The nanny was sitting in her usual spot on the rocking chair in the corner. The walls of the nursery were a lovely shade of light blue covered with artistically and carefully hoof-crafted pink clouds and aqua lightning bolts.
Little did anypony notice the strange green cloud of smoke that sat outside of the window: in fact they hadn't noticed it for nearly a year and a half. It just sat there watching, waiting for the perfect moment to strike, and it found that moment when the nanny decided to leave for a moment to fetch the fillies' midday meal of freshly made daisy sandwiches, milk and cookies, (for desert, of course). The nanny was halfway down the hall when she heard one of the fillies crying, which was expected being so close to lunch. But just as she was about to round a corner she heard a loud thud followed by the sound of breaking glass. The crying stopped.
By the day after the incident everypony had heard the horrible news.
The filly princesses were GONE!!
