*back a thousand years, celestia was prepairing to do a ritual. a ritual so dark, luna dared never to speak about it.*
*a pony wearing a skull was fiddling with a bracelet as a hooded unicorn with purple hair was reading a transcript*
??: hey, what the buck are you doing?
*the skull wearing pony rrmoved the mask to reveal that he was a zebra*
Zebra: praying, didst thou wanted things to go bad?
??: no, but were running short on time. Can you please finish that protective spell? Who knows whats gonna happen...
Zebra: fine.*puts mask back on* goodbye nexus.

*star left the room as celestia walked in*
Celestia: greeting nexus, are we ready to begin?

*draws the last runes with the blood of newborn foals. Celestia breaths in, then her horn gathers shadows nearby. The shadows form into a light consuming sphere of darkness*
Celestia: Gggh....
*the ball of shadows grow bigger and bigger. then nexus takes the ball from celestia and takes it to the middle of the runes. the shadow ball floats in mid air as nexus was being consumed by the shadow sphere. the runes surround the sphere as the orb finally absorbs the pony entirely. the orb floats gently down as the runes dissapeared as all there is left is a foal in blood. it cries in the night, celestia went to it and covored it in a blanket.
Celestia: Shh.. Dont worry, momma's here...
*rocks the baby gently. wipes the blood off of its face
Celestia: now what should i name you...
*looks into its amethyst eyes*
Celestia: Dark... Dark night...
*she then took the foal and raised him*
