Holes in Time and Space
"Twilight! Twilight! There's a few new books that just arrived! They don't have a name on them though, they just say Twilight Sparkle, Ponyville Library."  
"What Spike? I'm busy! You know that!"  
Spike cleared his throat.  
"TWILIGHT! THERE ARE NEW BOOKS FOR YOU!"  
Twilight Sparkle came galloping into the room, the expression on her face was that of a kid in a candy store.  
"New books? But my collection is one of the largest in Equestria!"  
"Hey Twilight, I'm just delivering."  
Twilight looked at Spike for a second and then took the books and went into her study.
The name of the first book that she picked up was: Starting to Think With Portals.  
'What could Starting to Think With Portals mean? It is obviously related to portals, but THINKING with portals? That just doesn't make any sense. Maybe the next book will offer some insight.' Twilight thought.  
The next book in the package was titled: Portals, Breaking Physics.  
'Gee, that was helpful, still there are two books left in there, one of them must tell me what the point of this is.  
Practical Application of Holes in the Fabric of Space and Time  
'Now I'm getting somewhere.'  
Portal Spells, Dimensional Rifts, and Time Travel  
'There we go! Some spells for me to learn too! Still though, why did I get these? And who sent them to me? Oh well, I'll find out later.'
Before Twilight could even take the packaging that came with her new books away she heard somepony rasping on the door.  
"Spike! Could you get the door?"  
No response.  
"Spike!?!"  
Still no response.  
'I wonder where Spike went, oh well, guess I better go get the door.'
Twilight trotted over to her door and opened it, nopony was there.  
"Dash? Are you trying to 'prank' me again? Ding Dong Ditch is more of a filly's game I would think!"  
Nopony responded.  
'Wow, i must be going crazy. Books from nopony, and then somepony knocking on my door, and me going to check only to find nopony. At least I have my books.'
And so Twilight began to dig into her four new books, she started with what seemed like the most logical of the four, Portals, Breaking Physics,and after a few hours she had finished it.  
'Just why are portals so important that I should get four books on them? Still more important, who sent them? I guess that if I read the others a solution will present itself.'
Next Twilight read: Practical Application of Holes in the Fabric of Space and Time, and it didn't help much, so she moved on, to Starting to Think with Portals, the whole thing still didn't make any sense though.  
'Well, there is only one book left, I guess that if I'll get any answers they will be in there.'
After reading Portal Spells, Dimensional Rifts, and Time Travel Twilight decided that it was time to go to sleep.
The next day Twilight decided that the next logical step was to attempt one of the inter-dimensional portals, and so she set off on learning the deep complexities of the spell.
After a while of learning the spell Twilight decided that it was time to attempt the spell.
She pushed herself to the limit, the spell was difficult and incredibly hard, even Celestia would have trouble with this spell, some would say that she almost died attempting the spell, except for one problem, nopony was around to see her attempt the spell.
There was a flash of light, and Twilight was blinded for a moment, a second later she heard a thud and something said, "Ow!"  
Twilight said: "Hello, who are you?"  
"Huh? I was sitting in my chair playing video games and then I fell down, and now... WHAT! WHATTTTT! You're a horse! And you just talked to me! Okay......."
The thing's voice trailed off and, well, it seems that it fainted.
"An inter-dimensional portal is more of a rip in the fabric of space and time than a clean hole in-between two universes. The amount of energy required to maintain a hole in the fabric of space and time cannot be achieved by anything other than dark matter or magic. Some would even argue that a unicorn's magic is a harnessing of the dark matter from within him/herself and their surroundings." -An excerpt from Portals, Breaking Physics.
"Kinetic Energy is transferred through the portal at an exact 1-to-1 as it entered the other end. For example, if an object were to fall through one portal traveling at 100 mph and it were to exit a horizontal portal it would maintain it's 100 mph speed, but gravity and the friction of the air would affect it as it would any other object traveling horizontally with a starting speed of 100 mph. Energy is transferred evenly through the portal to the other side with no loss of energy. Thus portals do not destroy all basic laws of physics. i.e. Energy cannot be created or destroyed." -An excerpt from Practical Application of Holes in the Fabric of Space and Time.
"A portal at it's simplest form is a door, whereas at it's most complex it is a rift in the universe, a rift into another universe. Sometimes this 'other' universe is referred to as a 'parallel universe.' Some of these universes are so similar to ours that you could not tell the difference, yet there are others where the differences may be so vast that your own home would be unrecognizable. Some will simply take you five minutes into the future or past, while others might send you into the future or the dark ages." -An excerpt from Portal Spells, Dimensional Rifts, and Time Travel.
'Well, that... thing... can be from; the future, the past, or a different dimension. At least that is all that my books can tend to offer me at this point, perhaps when it wakes I can speak with it as it seems that it could understand me.'
Author's Note
I really don't know if I'll continue this story, after so much negative feedback on the last one.... I will give you guys that though, it was pretttttttty bad. Anyway, I dunno if this is any better, so some feedback would be nice! Also, all of the excerpts from the 'books' that Twilight Sparkle received are made up, I just love science and this was a clever excuse to write some of it down.

             Micky's Equestrian Journal: Day 1

Micky's Equestrian Journal: Day 1
"Unnngh. That... was a crazy dream. Talking horses. I must have let my inner eight year old out for that dream."  
"I will let you know that we are ponies, not horses."  
"What do you mean, ponies? I mean..."
My voice trailed off as I looked away from the ceiling. There, standing in front of me, was a TALKING purple UNICORN. This was like, Harry Potter meets The Twilight Zone or something like that. Many a joke popped into my head.
"Uh, you, you're a unicorn."  
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, and who, and what, are you?"  
"For starters, I'm a human and my name is Micky. I'd like to stick to a first name basis, partially because I am lazy, and partially... well... mostly because I am lazy."  
"Oh my... A completely new intelligent species... I must perform tests!"  
"Oh, nonononono! If you'd excuse me I would like to go home... now. No experiments, no tests, nothing! I just want to go home"  
"What's wrong Micky? My tests never hurt, you will be sedated and I will use my magic to repair anything i might have moved or... moved."  
"Or Twilight, or... you could show me how you brought me here... and I can show you how to send me back. Sound like a plan?  
"Well... I suppose Micky, but I would still like to learn more about you."  
'You can do that while I am figuring out how to get home."  
"Alright fine. Here is the book that houses the spell that brought you here, and here are the other books that came with it."
Twilight went over to her desk and, well, she levitated the four books over to me. I was still laying on the floor, where I had fallen when she had brought me here. I realized that my back hurt and probably could use a good chiropractor, although there probably weren't any half decent human chiropractors nearby, if any. In hindsight, there probably was someone who could have fixed my back.
After a quick skimming over of the books that Twilight gave me I decided that the best course of action that I could take would be to rebuild the original scene, where Twilight was standing and where the portal opened up, that might be the only way to get back home.
"Hey, uh, Twilight, can you show me exactly where you were standing?"  
Twilight went silent for a moment, remembering exactly what happened, and then she moved over to be directly in front of one of her bookshelves and said:  
"Here. I was standing right here when I cast the spell."  
"Alright, and I landed over there, so thus the portal was opened about two feet in front of you! Oh that's wonderful, we know exactly where it opened! Now, all we need to do, well, all you need to do, is recast the spell from that same spot and I should be able to climb back into my universe!"
As Twilight set to work on recasting the spell I gathered up all of the stuff that had fallen into this universe with me.  
"Hmmm, let's see what came with... Sonic Screwdriver Replica... Xbox 360 controller... Physics textbook... iPhone... and, wait, what is this? It isn't mine. It doesn't look like it belongs to Twilight. I guess I'll pocket it for now."  
I had found a small metallic object, it could open at the top and there was a moon inscribed on the side. It felt familiar, but I don't think that I'd ever seen anything like it before. When it was sitting next to my sonic screwdriver I could barely tell them apart, in fact, I had almost picked it up instead of my screwdriver.
The place where I had been taken appeared at first glance to be a library, but if you look closely you could see that it was, in fact Twilight's home. ~~(I hope to god that she doesn't read this, but she really needs to, like, go out and have a party, or something, because all I can see right now is a 100% Grade-A nerd)~~
Several minutes later Twilight looked over at me and gasped:  
"I... I just can't recast the spell right now, t- too low on energy."  
"Twilight I can wait, trust me, besides, there is a big world out there that I can explore!"
After a few minutes of arguing over whether or not I should go outside and retreading old ground, Twilight begrudgingly let me leave... after turning me invisible... and unable to talk.
What felt like several hours later I gave up trying to explore, having found nothing of importance. I just felt tired. I was gonna go find somewhere to sleep in Twilight's house.
