Luna shut her eyes desperately, attempting to use her telekinetic ability aimed towards her older sister Celestia who she always cared about and seeked when she needed help; this time was of extreme urgency.
Sister i must speak with you at once, Ponyville is in danger!
"What is it Luna?" Celestia whispered from behind her sister who was eyeing the skies of Canterlot with a telescope.
"It appears to be a rock two miles thick and three miles length as well as height. It could be extremely hazardous towards your citizens" Her sister, Luna replied sighing deeply.
Celestia pulled her towards herself with magic, whispering in her ear "our citizens sister. We need to warn everypony; do you know where it is headed?"
"Towards Ponyville by the looks of it, we do not have time to destroy it or even the power." The princess of the night answered, clearly shaken by the size of the thing.
Distance from meteor to ponyville - 600 miles
There were posts all around Ponyville which housed a box on top closely resembling a megaphone.
"Everypony is to evacuate the town immediately! the meteor is coming straight for it, this is NOT optional, everypony to Canterlot immediately!" was blared from it in the early hours of the morning causing all of the town's inhabitants to escape from their houses and sprint into the nearest train.
A lot of the pegasi flew towards the city of Cloudsdale leaving six ponies -The only left in a now empty colourful neighbourhood - standing in shock at the sudden events forced into this due to their own acts of kindness and selflessness of not occupying the over-crowded trains heading towards the city.
There was no time for another train or room for them on the current one, they would stay with their homes where they all became the best of friends.
"What do we do?" the pink curly-tailed pony said while repressing floods of tears.
"I don't know Pinkie, maybe we should use the elements of harmony?" said the lavender coated and streak maned unicorn standing determined in front of her closest friends as if to protect them from the relentless sun-blocking rock only a few miles away from them.
"Well we could try and use your magic Twilight, that might protect us if we all put the power into it, right?" Rainbow Dash, one of the pegasi with a rainbow coloured mane, blue coat and competetive nature whispered, unnaturally scared and shaken up.
Fluttershy was a yellow-coated, pink-maned, shy, animal-loving pegasus was lying in the background with her hooves covering her face as streams of tears ran out of her eyes like a waterfall, Rarity the deep purple maned, white coated unicorn was hugging her in an attempt of comfort.
Distance from meteor to Ponyville - 110 miles
The six friends all put on various different coloured necklaces all with their owner's cutie marks in the center; Twilight had a tiara instead being the natural leader of the group.
"We ready to get goin'?" Applejack shouted in the background.
"Let's see..."Twilight whispered back while hovering a checklist in front of her face.
Pinkie Pie? "Check!"
Applejack? "Yep let's go!"
Rarity? "Of course, dear"
Fluttershy? "Umm....Yes?"
Rainbow Dash? "I'm always ready! Let's get this over with."
Distance from meteor to ponyville - 60 miles
Twilight's horn lit up extremely brightly, enough to make ponies cover their eyes and slowly a small purple sphere appeared in front of her and started surrounding her and her friends. All of their eyes were glowing white with no pupils as well as a streak of colour emanating from them, matching their element's colours -they had used this power a few times but only in an emergency or as a last resort- the orb suddenly stopped expanding while only halfway protecting her friends she started sweating and straining herself to go to the limit.
Distance from meteor to ponyville - 40 miles...
"I can't go any further!" Twilight screamed as the meteor got ever closer; she remembered the day she made it to Ponyville meeting all of these ponies which meant so much to her, where before she would spend all day and night in her house reading and studying. She then started helping her friends and going on different adventures with them. Solving problems, saving the world to even the smallest task of looking after her friends when they were ill; they were always there for each other.
Twilight started to tear up remembering all of their adventures together and in a burst of adrenaline the orb started circling again until it was once again stuck, this time at three quarters, exposing them from above their heads.
Distance from meteor to ponyville - 20 miles.......
They couldn't speak, they all hugged until they could see only the giant hunk of rock heading towards them, seconds from impact and their immediate dooms Twilight could not finish the bubble unless she weakened it, if she weakened it however the meteor would go straight through it.
"Goodbye....girls..." they all said in unison as they released their last words and hugged tighter
"I'll always remember the great times we had together" Twilight shouted over the loud engine-like roar of the hurtling rock.
"When we beat Nightmare Moon..."
"...When we stopped Discord's plans"
"...The royal wedding plot from Queen Chrysalis"
"...King Sombra's attack on the crystal empire"
"..."
They all fell into silence.
Distance from meteor to Ponyville - 58 meters.......
The meteor would completely wipe Ponyville off of the map, all that would be left is dirt and lone bricks and glass, no sign of civilization or inhabitants would remain.
"We can't just let them die! they have saved this land countless times" Celestia said with a hint of anger and sadness in
her voice towards the royal guards.
