Dance of the Sugarcube Corner
Bright Night was walking down the streets of Ponyville. As he was passing by Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie came running out.
“Hi Brighty” Pinkie Pie said in her typical overjoyed voice.
“Good morning Pinkie” Brighty said.
“Are you coming to The 10th annual Sugarcube ball?”
“The What?”
“Wait... You're telling me you've lived in Ponyville for 5 years, and you don’t know what the Sugarcube Ball is?”
“No clue.”
“It’s only the biggest, most funnest party in all of Equestria.” You could see it on her face that Pinkie was genuinely surprised that Bright Night had not heard of the ball. “Bright Night, anypony whose anypony will be there.” Pinkie said in annoyance, “Even Princess Celestia will be there”
Pinkie was about to burst into song about the ball when-
“Pinkie Pie. Don’t.” Bright Night said.
Pinkie Pie’s face showed disappointment but that frown quickly turned upside down as Bright Night said he would go.
“OOH! If you're going to go, you're gonna need super special somepony.”
It was obvious to Bright Night that Pinkie was hinting towards herself; however, Brighty wanted to have some fun.
“Your right Pinkie. I think i’ll ask Rainbow Dash.”
Just then Pinkie started crying.
“Pinkie, I was kidding. Would you like to be special somepony?” Bright Night asked in remorse for playing the cruel joke. It was extremely cruel knowing the feelings she had for him.
“YES!” Pinkie Exclaimed, “I’ll go get ready”
Just then Twilight Sparkle walked by.
“Hey Bright Night, are you going to the ball” She asked.
“Of course” said Pinkie, “He’s gonna be my super special somepony. I’m gonna go ask Rarity to help me find a dress.”
“You’re going to the dance with Pinkie?” Twilight asked.
“Yes” Bright Night Answered.
“Do you even know how to dance?”
“Twilight, It’s Pinkie. To her this will just be a party.”
“You really have never been to the Sugarcube Ball. This is the one thing a year that Pinkie takes seriously.
“Crap”
“Let's go to the library, I think I have some books on the subject there" Twilight suggested
They then go to the library. Not too long after they arrived, Rainbow Dash showed up.
“watcha doin’?” She asked.
Twilight replied, “We are going to learn how to dance. Pinkie And Bright Night are going to the Sugarcube Corner Ball.”
“You can’t learn that crap from a book!” Exclaimed Rainbow Dash, “Lucky for you I am unfortunately trained in formal dance. Follow my lead”
They spent many hours learning the ins and outs(with Rainbow Dash hating every moment of it) of formal dance. Every once in awhile Twilite would intercede and point out something she learned from a book. But for the most part It was just Bright Night and Rainbow Dash.
“Remember, 1... 2... 3..., 1... 2... 3..., 1... 2... 3... Keep it up, you're doin great.” Rainbow said.
They spent a little longer, in which Bright Night Perfected his skill.
“You better go to Rarity’s so she can make you a suit.” Dashie stated.
“OK, thanks Dashie. Thanks Twilight. See ya girls.”
And so Bright night went off to Rarity’s. Of course Pinkie was still there trying to find the dress with the right number of ribbons and streamers.
“Pinkie! Why won't you let me just make a dress for you?” Rarity asked.
“That would take too much time!” She replied.
“Not as much as this is going to take. Pinkie, I don’t have any ready made dresses with ribbons or streamers.”
“But I need to look perfect for the dance!”
Twilight wasn’t kidding when she said Pinkie takes this dance seriously, Bright Night thought.
“But I don’t have a dress that you're looking for!”
“What about this one?”
“I don’t even remember making that one. Go ahead and take it... You- You’ll look beautiful.”
“Thank you Rarity. See you this evening Brighty.”
Pinkie Ran out of the room singing smile while Rarity took a deep breath.
“Hello Bright Night.”
“Hello Rarity.”
“I suppose you need a suit?”
“Yes, please” he said in an embarrassed tone.
“Well I think I have the perfect outfit for you. Ah yes, here it is.”
She pulled a suit, hat, and tie off the rack. Bright Night put it on.
“You look fabulous.” Rarity commented, “Now we just need to put the finishing touches on, and tailor it. And then you will look perfect for the dance.”
“Great. Thanks.”
Bright Night stood there about an hour as she tailored his suit. When she finished he said his thanks and then was on his way to meet Pinkie Pie. It was a long walk to Sugarcube Corner where the dance was held. He had plenty of time to prepare for what an amazing night this was going to be.
Before too long he had arrived. Pinkie was standing there in her dress. They stood there staring for a good minute or two.
“You look beautiful” Bright Night finally said.
“Thanks. You look good to.” Pinkie replied.
“May I have this dance?”
“Yes, you may.”
They walked in and started dancing. A slow song started. Bright Night and Pinkie continued dancing. At the end of the song they kissed.
As the dance finished and everypony else was leaving, Pinkie and Bright Night stayed behind.
“I had a really great time” Pinkie said.
“Me too” Bright Night Responded.
“Thanks for bringing me”
“Your welcome.”
“See you later?”
“Yeah. See you later.”
Pinkie left.
“Good Pinkie” He said as she disappeared back into Sugarcube Corner. And as he walked home, he reflected on what a great day it had been.

The Mystery at Ponyville Theatre
Bright Night was freaking out. Someone had broken into Ponyville Theatre.
“They took everything.”
Just then Pinkie Pie and Twilight walked in.
“Hi Brighty” Pinkie Pie said.
“Hello Bright Night.” Twilight said.
“Hello everypony” He replied. He had a look of sadness on his face and both Pinkie and Twilight could see that.
“Come on. Turn the frown upside down” Pinkie said
“What’s wrong” Twilight asked.
“Uh, Pinkie. I think you mean villainous” Twilight corrected her.
“No I don’t”
“OK, Pinkie.” Twilight sighed, “Don’t worry Bright Night We’ll help you figure this out.”
“Ooh! I’m gonna need my detective hat, my detective magnifying glass, and most importantly... (drum roll please). My detective Mustache! I’ll be back in a flash.” Pinkie ran out and returned fully costumed in two seconds flat.
“Ok, I’m ready” she said.
“great. Let’s go.” Twilight said.
The three of them walked into Ponyville Theatre.
“Wow! This place is a mess.” Twilight said.
“This place reminds me of somepony. Hmm. Ooh! I know!” Pinkie stated.
She stopped and looked around.
“Pinkie.” Bright Night called. She Did not respond. “PINKIE!”
“OH! Yes?” she asked.
“Who does this remind you of?”
“Discord. Duh.”
Suddenly Discord appeared.
“Really. One look at a place and you suddenly assume it was me. How rude! You know what happens when you assume? You make an ass out of u and me”
just then a donkey appeared.
“Well I’ll say.”
Then he disappeared.
“Well for once you are wrong. I did not do all this. I... may have helped a little. But... I was not the one that did this.” Said Discord.
“Well who did?” Bright Night asked with frustration.
“oh, just a little dragon I know.”
“SPIKE?!” The three of them asked in unison.
“Ahw. How did you guess? And so easily too.”
“fix it” Bright Night.
“Oh, I can’t.”
“Why?”
“because I didn’t do it.”
“You're kidding.”
“Nope.”
He disappeared. The three of them ran to the library.
“Why did you trash the theatre?!” Bright Night yelled to Spike.
“I- I- I didn’t.” He replied
“Discord said you did.”
“You guys are seriously trusting Discord?”
“I did say I helped him.” Discords voice rang out but he was nowhere to be found, “Geez, Give me some credit!”
Suddenly out of nowhere Discord appeared out of nowhere. “Maybe I took control when he was asleep.”
“Discord!” Exclaimed Bright Night. His face showed pure anger.
“Ah, lighten up Brighty. Can’t you take a joke. Ugh.” Discord snapped his fingers, “There. Everything is back where it belongs” he said. Then under his breath he whispered “except for your head” When Bright Night heard this he snapped.
“What did you say?” His mane and tail had turned to fire. His fur matching his mane in color. “I asked, What did you say?!”
“Except your head.” Discord was whimpering in fear. He realized that an angry Bright Night was far worse than being trapped in stone by the Elements of Harmony. When he looked over at Twilight and Pinkie, he could see the fear on their faces to. “I’m sorry.” he said.
Just like that, Bright Night returned to normal.
“It’s OK. I forgive you.” He smiled. Discord then vanished. The other ponies looked at him in amazement of what they just saw.
“I wanna do that!” Exclaimed Pinkie Pie.
. “Remind me not to make you angry.” The all laughed.
