Chapter 1: Another boring day or is it? (Revised & Fixed)
Another Boring Day... or is it?
I sat in class on a normal Tuesday morning. It had just begun and Miss Cheerliee started talking away about mathematics. 'Her and her long words can't she just dumb it down just a bit? So ponies in this class can actually understand what your saying! Screw this I'm going to sleep .'
About maybe an hour later a book slamming closed woke me up and I looked up at Cheerilee who looked down at me with a seriously cross face. I yawned and shook my head. 'What a weird dream. What was that creepy looking thing? Oh whatever I'll think about that later. For now I have to deal with Cheerilee. '
"Sleet? Could you tell the rest of the class what 5•8 equals?" Cheeilee's voice was soft but I could tell she was pretty mad at me.
"5 times 8? Um..." A sharp pain ran though my head as if something was trying to tell me something. "The answer is 40." I said like it was common knowledge. Cheerilee's jaw dropped open slightly. The sharp pain pasted though my head again making me wince. Cheerilee went back to the front of the class and the rest of the day in class went past smoothly.
-BBRRRIIIIINNNGGGG-
'The bell finally !' I thought to myself as I lept form my chair and headed to the door only to be stopped by Diamond Tiara who was wearing a small amused grin. "Showing up Miss Cheerilee was hilarious and for that how about you join the popular group?" Diamond said with cunning prowess in her voice. I could tell she was up to something now just by her tone.
"No, Diamond i don't have time to be messing around with you." I said trying to put just enough emphasis to prove my point of no. With that I trotted past her as if she wasn't there. I knew perfectly well that she was trouble. Her old crony SilverSpoon was transferred to Canterlot after a prank of theirs backfired.
Soon after trotting a fair distance away, I felt a tingly feeling in my fore-hooves. I looked down to see silver tattoos appearing on them out of no where. 'What in the hell is going on first sharp pains, now this? This day keeps getting weirder and weirder. May as well go home, but I'll have to be careful about who sees me. My family is well known and if I'm spotted with these marks it could mean trouble.'
-A long walk and a few hiding spots later-
My home was nothing really special. An average enough house built to fit about 3 adult ponies, as far as I knew anyway. I entered to find the house empty. "No pony home... Great... This gives me time to think about that dream... It would've helped if i took time to think about it earlier..." I look down at the silvery tattoos now lining my fore-hooves. "What could these mean....? I wonder if there is anything on the computer about this... May as well take a look to see if i can find anything on this." I trotted though my house to the computer located in the kitchen. I booted up the computer and opened up firepony.
I clicked the search bar and typed in 'Mysterious Tattoos '. I scrolled and looked through what seemed to be hundreds of cites on the subject until one that looked similar. "Tribal Amarezonian Tattoos..." I look at my arms to compare to the picture. 'A perfect match! Only how did I get them? I'm not Amarezonian... am I? It says here that most Amarezonians are zebra... this doesn't make much sense...' I close out the window and look at the desktop for the Family Tree mom and dad were working on a few days earlier. "It's not here? Now where is it... I'm sure it was here." I continue to search the computer folders for some time till I hear knocking on the front door. "Now who could that be... May as well check, if it's someone I don't know I'll just not answer the door." I made my way to the door quickly and looked though the peep hole. "Mom? Maybe forgot her key... again... ugh." I open up the door and stand in the doorway. "Hi, mom. Did you forget your key again?"
"Yes, I did." She answered with a blunt annoyance that made me shiver. 'I've seen her mad before but this is a whole different level... Maybe work is stressing her out? ' "Is your father home yet?" I shake my head no to answer her and she sighed disapprovingly and sat on the couch.
'Maybe I should ask since she hasn't asked about the tattoos... It's worth a shot. ' "Mom? Um... Do... er.. Does our family have a Amarezonian ancestry?" She cleared her throat and tried to avoid eye contact.
"No... You don't why do you-" Her eyes grow wide as they fall onto the Tribal tattoos. "Where did you get those!" I look down and think 'BINGO! I struck pay-dirt. She must know something! '
"I don't know i was walking home when i saw them... I looked on the computer and found they were of Amarezonian ancestry... and when i found that out I looked for the family tree on the computer... but it's not there anymore." She was mad, no worse than mad, she was furious. I can tell there is only one time when she got this mad. Also her being a unicorn adds insult to injury because well... The special thing that happens when unicorns get mad, rage shifting.
"GO TO YOUR ROOM! NOW!" I complied and sprinted into my room so fast it would rival the speed of a bullet. 'Being a pegasus helps too. My special talent: Control over electricity and the conduction of it. Typical right? it has it's perks though. Not in the way I think but i can summon it too, but only after I sit still and think about it really hard. I got that and my cutie-mark after i was struck by lighting in a really bad storm. The doctors said it's a miracle I survived it even though I was a pegasus. They claimed that I'd be likely to life a lot longer than most ponies, but that is what they said... but that was an estimate for that most part according to the scientist my parents took me to. It was a irregularly charged, so the scientist said and that could have added it as well .' I look over at the mirror hang on the wall in the corner and decide to take a quick look at myself. 'Dark Greyish Blue coat same as always. A frizzed and messy two toned pure white and dark black mane... My mane was once blue color like my mom, electric blue eyes.... They used to be brown like dad's but that bolt of electricity changed a few things. '
-A Few Long Hours Later-
"I'm home!" I look at the clock at the sound of dad's voice. '6:14. He's home earlier than usual. He normally comes home around 7:30. ' I began to hear my parents bickering and yelling at each other a minute or so later. It came to a abrupt halt after a few minutes when I heard the sound of a smack. 'uh oh... That is not good... Mom must have slapped dad... 3.. 2.. 1... Que, the sound of breaking glass... '
-TTTTIIISSSSSSSSS-
'THis happens every time they fight. It's like they are only together because of me. By the sound of the breaking it was one of moms flower pots. They lose one of those every few weeks to a month in a half. I may want to break up the fight before it gets worse. ' I open the door and see the broken pot and, a now sad looking flower. 'Poor thing. You don't deserve to be treated as such. ' I pick up the flower by the stem. Good thing the roots are strong or all the dirt would have collapsed of of them onto the floor. I flap my wings to get myself off the floor and land back in the dining room. I place the flower into a fresh pot and add a bit of dirt and water. 'There you go friend you will live though this, just like last time. ' I make my way to the kitchen after nodding to the flower and looked at my mom and dad who are on opposite sides of the room giving each other death glares.
-GGRRROOOWWLLL-
My parents eyes fell onto me and raised there eyebrows as they looked me over. I gave them an embarrassed smile as my stomach made the sound again only a little louder. "heh heh... Oops." Dad smiled at me while mom frowned. Dad was a pegasus like me only really smart. His cutie-mark is a dictionary. Unordinary seems to run in the family well dad's side anyway. Dad looked me over, seeing the tattoos his face turned to one of thought. The turned around and started dinner.
The rest of the night when how any normal family would spend the night until it was bed-time. Dad's turn to tuck me in thankfully. Honestly I think mom's bad mood is enough to make milk sour. Apparently dad thought so too because he is going to be sleeping on the couch. "Sleet, my boy, I think me and you need to give mom some space don't you agree?" I looked at him and nodded remaining silent knowing he wasn't done talking. "I am going on trip son and to be honest you are still a bit too young to go. So tomorrow I'm taking you to Canterlot, to stay with a friend while your mom cools off okay?" I nod again waiting for him to continue. "She is a friend from when I was in Caterlot going to meet your mother. She was getting mugged and I helped her out. She still owes me a favor, so taking care of you will be the favor. Is that okay with you Sleet?"
"Yes father, but... Is she like mom?"
"No, not exactly... hmm, let's say she's more hyper, outgoing, a bit childish, and care-free. Also, with no doubt you two will get along rather well. Her line of work involves electronic music and I think you may be able to help her out a bit." He gave me a wink and got up. "Good night son. I'll wake you in the morning."
"Wait, dad?" He turned and looked at me again with his educated eyes gleaming in the soft flicker of the candle he held.
"Yes?"
"What's the definition of insanity? I know it's a strange question but..." He smiled and shook his head calmly.
"That my son, is the question isn't it? That answer, you'll figure out on your own. What made you ask that?"
"I-I dunno... It just kinda popped in my head and I thought that you'd be better to ask then mom right now."
"Well, I'm sure you'll figure it out soon. For now off to sleep my son, and dream of smiles and sunshine." He leaves the room and doing as he says drift off to sleep.

Chapter 2: My First Train-Ride (Revised and fixed)
My Frist Train-Ride
I woke up and stared at the alarm clock on my desk trying to read it while tiredness still blurred my vision. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the clock again now being able to read it. '6:20. I would be going to school but now that dad is taking me to Canterlot I guess i don't have to go now... Wait no school.... YES! I wont have to deal with Cheerilee waking me up and no homework!' I jump out from under my blankets and dug though my things in my closet looking for my wonderbolt goggles that dad got when he took me to see the wonderbolts. They were really special they once were Spitfire's and signed by her too. My most prized possession. The only real present my father got me that wasn't a book or a trip to my favorite candy shop. I place the goggles around my neck and open my bedroom door. I peek out to see dad with a large backpack and a fairly large suitcase as well. I trot over to him and look at the backpack. "Morning dad. What is the backpack for?" He turned and looked at me and pushed it over to me with a smile.
"It is everything you will need when you are in Canterlot with my friend. I looked at the train station schedule and it seems we are going to have to take two different trains." I looked up at him as he turned and picked up the suitcase handle in his mouth. I want to ask him why but I can't have him worrying about me too much.' I pick up the backpack and sling it onto my back being careful not to mess up my wings. Dad went to the bathroom, which gave me time to leave mom a note in the kitchen saying that I'll be fine and that she should relax a bit while we are away. 'When in all truth she will still worry about where i am. No matter where I am or what I do. It's a mom thing i guess.' After dad left the bathroom and took up his suitcase again we left for the train station.
-At The Train Station-
The smell of smoke was blocking out all other smell around except for the venders who had fresh pies and hay-fries. Dad's train was leaving after mine so he would be able to make sure i got on safely. He also went to the conductor and explained some of the situation to him. The conductor nodded and smiled at my dad. 'Maybe they knew each other? Nah, Dad hasn't been on a train as far as I know. Or has he?...' My thoughts got interrupted when a whistle of the train sounded.
"ALL ABOARD FOR CANTERLOT!" I looked at my father who is standing beside me who gave me a reassuring smile.
"Son, get on the train. The pony your looking for when you get there will be in the CC Club one block from the station. Okay? Also, I placed a note in your bag for when you get there for her." I nodded picking up my backpack and put it on. "I love you my son. Be safe. Oh and the ponies name Is Vinyl Scratch."
"Love you too dad. CC Club and look for Vinyl Scratch go it." I hop onto the train and head to my seat.
-Soon After the Train Started Moving -
I gave a look out the window watching the trees and hills fly by. I let out an unintentional bored sigh. A knock on the door to the room of the coach I was sitting in startled me and my head snapped to the direction of the sound.There was brown mare standing at the door with a hefty case. "May I sit in here with you everywhere else is full." I nodded and looked back out the window trying to think about my dream last night until she broke the silence again. "If you don't mind me asking where are your parents little colt?"
I turned my head to look at her again the hefty case that she was carrying is now on the seats across from us. "Um... 'think idiot think ' I'm going to Canterlot for a while my parents are um... busy."
"Hard working couple huh? I know what that is like. What is your name little colt?" She gave me a small smile waiting for an answer. I thought about to ether give her a fake name or my real one a small piece of advice my father gave me once. 'A lie may be good for a while but the truth last for a life time.'
"My name is Sleet. Sleet Thunder. You are?"
"Octavia Phillynormica it is a pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise Miss Phillynormica." I was trying to be polite as possible to her because mother always told me 'Always be polite and courteous in the presence of a lady.'
-20 minutes until arrival -
'I can't hold it anymore I have to go to the bathroom' "Excuse me miss Octavia I must excuse myself for a moment." Octavia nodded and smiled at how polite I was. I walked past and headed to the bathroom which was a small room with a rather small toilet but a fair sized sink.
After finished I stepped out and somepony was standing there with a mask on holding a knife. I froze, my whole body locked in place my eyes locked onto the knife. A sickly devilish smile spread across my face one of which that would frighten Nightmare Moon herself. His eyes widened at the sight of my smile causing him to tremble. "Are you insane kid?"
'Insane.. insane.... Insane.. In(insane)sane....' The word echoed in my head before i spoke. "Insane no.... I'll show you insane" I knocked the knife from his hoof and and tripped him up making him fall onto the small cramped bathroom space. I looked at his knife and picked it up. "Would you like me to tell you the definition of insanity?" The stallion looked up at me with fear as i pointed the knife at him. "You thinking you can kill me. That is insane. Thinking you'd get away with it. That is insane. So that gives you the definition of insanity. You. Will. Die." My body began to spark with electricity as the knife impaled the stallion's heart. I placed a hoof over his mouth and sent electricity coursing though him shocking him to death as blood poured from his ears and his heart exploded inside him. I released him from my grasp and exited the bathroom, closing the door behind me with a smile plastered across my face. I took a deep breath and went back to my seat with 5 minutes to spare.
"What took you so long Sleet? Did you fall in?" I could see she was worried about me since I'd taken so long.
"No there was a line. I was second to last in it. Sorry if I worried you."
"Oh that's quite alright."
I looked out the window smirking to myself as Canterlot came into view. 'Maybe living out here wont be so bad.'

Chapter 3: CC Club (Celestia Celebrity Club) [revised and fixed]
CC Club (Celestia Celebrity Club)
The train came to a halt in the Canterlot station with a screech of metal and the hiss of steam. It would be best if I got off as quickly as possible so I won't get caught up in a particular murder scene. Flapping my wings I began to head to the platform.
"You there!" a unknown voice called out and I turned to look. A rather strong looking stallion is standing there with an angry look on his face.
"Yes?" 'I wish I had waited for miss Octavia now... There she is and is coming this way.' Octavia walked over and stood in front of him facing me.
"There you are Sleet. I've been looking everywhere for you. Come lets get you home." Octavia winked at me and turned around. "Oh hello, my I help you?"
"Yes. Are you this colts guardian?" The rather buff stallion asked with a bit of anger at her interruption.
"For the time being I am. Why do you ask?" I stayed close behind Octavia to avoid the stallions glare.
"Miss Octavia? It's getting late. Momma wants me home before dinner." Octavia looked back at me and nodded and returned to looking at the stallion.
"Sir whom ever you may be I'm afraid you're going to have to contact his mother because she is expecting him home. Right now. Now if you'll excuse us, lets go Sleet." Octavia picked up her hefty and rather large case handle in her mouth and started to walk. I followed closely behind making it seem like she was my foal-sitter. I adjusted my backpack and continued to follow until outside of the station. "Now where are you headed? Do you have somewhere to stay?"
"Yes miss Octavia I do. Could you tell me which way the CC Club is?" Octavia's eyes grew big at the mention of the place.
"Yes but what in Celestia's name are you going there for? Your not old enough to go in there. Also why would you want to be with those ruffians?"
"There is somepony there who owes my dad a favor and I'm going there to get the favor filled. She has to take care of me for a while, while mom cools her head and until dad returns from his trip." Octavia shook her head quickly and sat me down.
"Well whom ever your father intrusted you to must be a two bit un-lady-like word or and bad pony who does horrible things to herself." I shook my head a bit and sighed.
"My dad saved her from being mugged before I was born. Also, I respect my father's decision. I will not abandon my father's words or go back on his trusted choices. I will do as he asks of me even if i have to do it the hard way." Octavia's face was blank and unreadable for a minute or so until she broke the silence.
"Okay. Head in that direction and keep your eyes to the right and a sign that says CC Club in big neon lights and there you go. Don't look to the left at all. Be careful aright? I would much rather you don't get in trouble for Celestia knows what."
"Yes miss Octavia I will try to be careful." I began to follow the direction pointed out for me by Octavia. I kept my eyes locked onto the right side of the street looking for the sign Octavia explained for me. While I do wonder what is on the left side of the street I listen to Octavia's request. Sure enough it was right where she said. I trotted over to the large stallion blocking the door and looked up at him. He looked down at me and raised an eyebrow and a mocking smirk across his lips.
"Can I help ya kid?" He apparently thought it was a joke and chuckled a bit after he said this somehow pulling merriment out of me showing up.
"Yeah. Sir, My father sent me here to find Vinyl Scratch. She owes my dad a favor so he wants me to give her a message." He looked at me like i was kidding around and started laughing. "I have a note in my bag for her. Would you please give it to her?" I opened up my bag and pulled out a regular sized rolled up sealed writing scroll. I gave it to him and he opened it up and started to read. His face was skeptical at first but that changed rather quickly.
Dear Vinyl Scratch,
It has been a long time huh, Scratch? I have run into a wall. The colt before you is my son Sleet. The one I wrote to you about in my letters. Although you probably didn't read them because you where out pursuing your dreams DJ PON-3. I've been keeping track of your achievements throughout the years. I hope you didn't forget that favor you owe for all those years ago. I'm leaving Sleet in your care until I return, so for now please take good care of him for me.

The bouncer's face went blank at the name at the bottom. His face screwed from the previous skeptical to shock. "Alright all checks out kid. You can enter." He returns the note and moves to the side granting me entrance quickly moving back as I pass by him.
I walk into the black hallway heading into a room full of exotic colors flicking all over the place. My eyes widened as I gazed at the room. 'This room is massive. I will take all night to find Vinyl... I may as well begin looking.' I stuck close to the walls as I made my way to the bartender. I managed to get there without disruption, thank Celestia. I tapped on the counter and hopped onto a stool. The bartender looked at me and gave me a despicable look of hatred.
"Alright tyke, you've had your fun now you get the boot." The bartender pushed a button under the counter and a few moments later a bouncer trotted up to him. "Take this kid out of here he is clearly not old enough to be here." The bouncer turned and looked at me. I raised the note to his face. Clearly the pony read it with ease and turned back to the bartender.
"Sir, I can't bounce this kid." The bouncer's expression was blank and emotionless he spoke to the bartender.
"Why not?" The bartender clearly unaware of the notes contents was getting madder by the second. He was clearly about to flip his lid when the bouncer answered again.
"Because this little tyke as you referred to him as has business with Vinyl Scratch." The bartender's temper died down instantly at the sound of her name. "Now, Sleet. Come with me, I'll take you to Vinyl." The bouncer or number two as I now am going to refer to him as began to walk to the back. I stood and followed tucking the note under my wing. Leaving the dumbstruck bartender to his work in solitude.
As I walked following number two, I let my eyes wonder a bit. I look around the crowed room as various ponies danced in all different styles until my eyes landed on a sign as i passed it by: Celestia Celebrity Cub. 'So as it turns out CCC stands for that, huh? I may as well call it 3-C makes it heck of a lot easier.' Number two stopped at a door and opened it to backstage then slipped a VIP badge around my neck. I looked at it then at him and he just nodded and walked though the door. 'Number two isn't much of a talker huh? Dark and mysterious... Interesting.' I followed through the door and tailed him though the random ponies that seemed to be important but not to me. Around half-way down the hall he stopped and waited for me to catch up. I sat next to him and looked up at him with a fake smile. That number two apparently couldn't see though.
"Get that note ready." His voice sounded like... He isn't a he. He is a she. Her voice softened up to a regular mares tone and she smiled at me. "Ready?" I nodded and pulled the note out from under my wing where i had placed it when I had began following her. "Okay." She knocked on the door a few times and waited.
The door swung open and a glistening white unicorn with a two tone blue and electric blue hair with purple sunglasses stepped out. "Hey, what's up Marina?" 'So that is her name... Going to have to remember that.' "Who is this little colt. Isn't he a little young for a VIP pass." The unicorn had her full attention on me. 'Okay this has to be Vinyl now all i have to do is give her the note. ' I push the note in front of her and remain silent as she picked it up with her telekinesis. By the look on her face she seemed shocked and happy at the same time as she read but I couldn't really understand the rest of the emotions that passed over her face.
"So your Dex's sport huh?" I nodded, not sure if I should be polite or young acting. "Sleet you have a real gift from what your father's letters told me is that true?" I nodded again, still unsure on how I should talk around her. "So you think you can help your Auntie Vinyl out with something?" 'Auntie Vinyl? That isn't something you hear everyday. I guess she thinks I'm still in my foalish stage.'
"I would be honored Aunt Vinyl. What should I do?" I gave vinyl the most sincere smile I could as she let me inside and closed the door after thanking Marina for her assistance.
"You see that sound system?" I nodded and walked over to it looking at all the wires, inlets, and outlets. "It's central core is fried and I can't play my music without it. Could you ya know super charge it?" Even through those purple sunglasses I could see her pleading eyes staring me down but on the outside she looks cool calm and collected. 'Her eyes deceive her true feeling that is why she covers them... clever'
"Sure." I open my wings and lift a hoof allowing electricity to be slowly gathered from the electrons around me. After I concentrated for what seemed like forever gathered what I guessed to be the right amount, I tapped the sound system lightly and the whole system lit up with electricity. After it died down, I pressed the on button and clicked the play button and some pre-recorded dub-step played at a low volume. "There you go. All fixed. It should work for at least tonight, I think." Vinyl's jaw hung there for a few moments before she closed it and pulled me into a crushing hug. "Vinyl your crushing me."
"Oops. Sorry Sleet." She released me from the near spine shattering hug, thank Celestia. "Sleet would you like to come with me on stage? After all you the only reason I'm able to go on now."
"Sure. I would love to go on stage with you." 'I get to go on stage. This has to be the best day EVER'

Chapter 4: What a Coincidence (revised & fixed)
What a Coincidence
The music cuts off as I step onto the stage and make my way to the microphone. All eyes on me. I stop at the mic and fly up and position it so I can stand and speak. Everypony in 3-C watched in silence and curiosity as I now stood there with a smile on my face. "Hello. Before you all ask... Yes I'm really not supposed to be here... But I'm not here to perform... No." Electric sparks began jumping and crackling all over me. "May I present..." I focused really hard on myself and a load crack of thunder sounded. "DJ PON-3!" I jumped back and landed next to Vinyl whom was raised from under the stage by a elevating panel. The music began to play after Vinyl flipped a switch.
After Vinyl's time was up and she flipped off the music and being the last Dj for the night got her and myself quite a bit of attention. A few ponys asked for me to sign an autograph next to Vinyl's. I looked at Vinyl who just shrugged nonchalantly. I signed a few sheets of paper and a hoofball hat. ST connected with an electrified Z in the back. That will be my mark. I'll have to draw it later for myself.' After signing the pieces of paper and the hat with the symbol I came up with.
"Where did you come up with that?" I turned my attention to Vinyl who was looking over my shoulder while I drew the symbol again on a scrap of paper that a pony gave me.
"Right here. I thought about it and my brain just kinda spewed out the idea of my initials and an electrified Z. I know what I could be called when I'm on stage with you now."
"Really? What?"
"EZ-3." Vinyl smiled and nodded.
"Pretty good Z. I'll call ya Z now when we're out side kay?" I nodded and watched the rest of the night pass faster than lighting. Soon it was time for me and a pretty tipsy Vinyl to go home.
-Outside of 3-C -
It was 3 in the morning and it was still pitch black out. I helped Vinyl walk as she gave me a set of half-assed directions. I rolled my eyes as she fell over for the third time in the last 10 minutes. I helped her up and got her to stand straight again. I could zap her but then again I don't know how much power I'd need to make somepony not drunk. I may be smart but I'm not that smart. I started to hear a string instrument's sounds resonate through the street.
"Followoe thaat sooouund." Vinyl said her voice slurred and she started to stubble towards it. I watched her stumble forward almost knocking things over. I shrugged and followed her to a rather big looking condo like building. 'hm... Well I guess I'm living here for now but something tells me that... Nah I must be imagining things.' When we got to the door vinyl passed out from the alcohol consumption. I roll my eyes again and knock on the in the beat of Vinyl's song she played in the club. The music stopped abruptly and the sound of hurried clicks sounded from inside. 'Hm... Well I guess it's her mom's house? Maybe... She didn't tell me anything about family... Maybe a roommate? No... Or a lover hm... That one seems legit.' I closed off my thoughts as the door opened and very familiar brown mare is standing in the door.
"Miss Octavia? You live with Vinyl?" 'No way. There is no way these 2 get along. If they do how in Luna's court do they do it. I mean ones a proper mare and the other is a parting disc jockey. This makes no sense.'
"Sleet? Your father trusted Vinyl to take care of you?" Octavia looks down at the unconscious unicorn and sighed. "How many did she have?"
"Six."
"Six?! Of what?" 'Uh oh... She in trouble. Think of a drink. Come on think, think.'
"Six small shots of Sarsaparilla." I gave her a sheepish smile as she picked up Vinyl and placed her on the couch.
"I'm going to bed now, I have to shopping to do tomorrow." With that Octavia went into a room and all was silent again.
I looked at Vinyl sleeping on the couch and then looked for a blanket around the room. I sighed and crept into the hallway and open up the first door and looked inside. Blankets and pillows. Jackpot!' I pull out about 6 pillows and 3 blankets and dragged them over to the couch. I lifted Vinyl's head and put 2 pillows where her head was and let her head fall into them. I lifted 2 of the blankets and covered her up with them and nodded to myself. 'Good job. Now your turn.' I arranged the pillows and blanket jumped in and fell asleep.

Sorry for it not being as long. This chapter is a transition into a new environment and the next one will mor than likely be rather lengthy. Also a hint of advice it would be for you benefit the that you read chapter 5 with the dark color scheme. Just a recommendation because I'm using colored text in some areas that will be hard to read on others and the dark backdrop makes the words pop.

The Morning After
Day 1 Without Dad
The sound of a bird chirping woke me from my sleep. My vision was fuzzy so I shook my head a few times and opened my eyes more to see the make-shift bed I put together. I look to my left and see the kitchen empty but a little bird in the window. 'A bird... ugh, what time is it?''Who gives a flying fuck go back to sleep''What? Ugh... my head.''Go back to sleep and it will stop.''Who... are you?''Don't matter... go back to sleep.''But I need to see if Vinyl is okay she did have a little too much.''Fine then you may as well get up then.''Uh huh...'

I slowly get up and stretch out a bit. I look over at the sleeping Vinyl who is still slightly drunk by the looks of it. 'You realize what you can do... Right?''No what?''You can do one of 3: Kill her, Wake her, or... Ya know.''What?! No I will not do that to Vinyl!''You say you won't now but if you were a bit older i bet you would.''...''I thought so. So why not?''2 reasons... One: I am not going to take advantage of a drunk pony. Two: Right now she is my parental figure. It would be like violating one's mother.''I see your point... Fine. Wake her up then maybe she may do something interesting.' I considered what it said for a minute and sat next to the couch where Vinyl lay sleeping drunken and peaceful. I look at the clock for the time and see it's 9:04AM. I push Vinyl's side with my hoof softly in an effort to wake her. She didn't wake so I tried a few more times with no result except a small snort and her rolling over. I considered shocking her but my stomach had other ideas on what I should do.

"Ugh... Maybe I could ask Miss Octavia for something to eat. I hope she won't mind waking up at this hour."

"I guess it can't be helped... ugh." I made my way quietly to the room I saw Octavia go into last night and sure enough there she was sleeping peacefully. I walk over to the side of the bed and look at the nightstand. A little picture frame caught my attention immediately. Octavia and Vinyl smiling in the photo and I couldn't help but smile at it. The little frame had letters on it that said: Octy & Me. "Octy... So that is what Vinyl calls her..." I mutter under my breath sure not to wake her. 'Call her by her pet name in Vinyl's voice... that may wake her.' 'That may be the best idea you've come up with all morning!' 'I try.' I thought about Vinyl's voice and how she sounded and started to mimic her voice softly. After a few tries I have it down so I give it a shot.
I clear my throat and in Vinyl's voice I speak. "Octy?" This caused Octavia to stir at my impersonation of Vinyl. "Occcccctttyyyyyy." 'Need some fries with that whine?' 'Nah but I'm pretty good at it huh?' 'Couldn't have done better myself.' Octavia moved again rolling over her eyes open and looking at me on the floor. Octavia who seemed to be amused by this raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Yes little discolored Vinyl? You got her voice down but you'll need to have a better slur because she is a bit tipsy when she wake up in the morning after staying out so late. Although the whine was rather accurate." Octavia chuckled as she got up and stretched. "So what is it-"
-GRRROOWWLLL
"Oh I see, it seems your stomach answered for you." I blushed in embarrassment and looked down at my silvery tattoos. 'Well this can't be all that bad here' 'Yeah.. I'm surprised that she hasn't asked about my tattoos... Maybe she thinks that they are natural? Oh well... Hmm... Maybe after breakfast I can ask to go to school... Or something around those lines.' 'What!? Dude we just go away from that damn place! School is a curse!'' Do you have any better ideas to spare time?' '.... No... But.... Fine but I swear if somepony ticks me off I'll kill whomever it may be.' 'Un... As long as it's isolated and goes unnoticed. Also unseen. Now to follow and get some food...'
-Later in the kitchen-
I sit quietly eating the small breakfast of 2 pop tarts and a glass of milk. "Sorry about the small breakfast I still need to go shopping." I turned to look at Octavia as she continued so speak. "Would you like to come with?" Octavia gave me a smile waiting for my answer.
"Miss Octavia... I was wondering... Is there any way I could go to school? I think it would be best if I don't fall behind my class."Octavia scrunched her nose slightly and thought. Or at least that is what I thought she was doing.
"I suppose... Canterlot schools are much more privet though. It will take quite a bit to get in." I "hmp'd" at the response and thought for a moment then sighed. "Of course I may be able to get you in for a few days until we can find you a proper school. Also, it will keep you caught up maybe even slightly ahead in your schooling."
. I finished my pop-tarts and milk then made my way to my backpack. I pulled out a large spiral notebook and placed it under my wing along with a pen. 'School.''Here we come.'
--A Half-Hour Later At The Canterlot School House--
Lucky me school was delayed by a mysterious power outage that's reason is still unknown. The electricians said that the generators where fine and had no problems so when the power turned back on i was introduced to the class as a temporary student.
I could've sworn that somepony was staring at me from somewhere but I shook off the thought and headed to the closest empty seat.
