A Dark Day
Twilight lays at her desk and starts to write a letter to princess Celestia.
Dear princess Celestia.
“TWILIGHT"!
Twilight jumped in the air from being startled. As she landed she saw Pinkie Pie had bursted in to the room.
“Pinkie you scared me”. Said Twilight her heart still beating rapidly.
“Oh I’m sorry Twilight I didn’t mean to”.
“It's fine. Now is there something I can help You with”?
“No just checking to see if you were ready”.
“Ready”? Twilight said with a confused look.
“For Rarity’s birthday party”.
“Oh that’s today? Sorry I lost track of time just let me finish writing this letter”.
“Can’t it wait? I don’t want to be late”.
“Sorry it can’t Pinkie”.
“Twiiiiiiiliiiiiighhhht please you can finish it when you get back”.
Pinkie Pie I ca…..”
“Pleeeeaaaassseeese”? Pinkie Pie said with a pouting look.
“Ugh fine”. Twilight said finally giving in to pinkie's wining.   
Twilight wrapped up the paper she was writing on and put it in the shelf behind her.  
Twilight and Pinkie then made their way to the door.
“Twilight where’s Spike”? Pinkie said putting her hoof on the door handle.
“Properly getting Rarity a gift I presume”.
“Oh ok”. Pinkie replied as she bounced happily down the path next to Twilight.
On the way they ran into Rainbow Dash moving some clouds out of the way.
“Hey Dashie”! Pinkie called out.
“Oh hi guys I didn’t see you there”. Rainbow Dash replied while moving the last cloud.
“We're headed towards Rarity’s house for her birthday party”. Twilight replied.
“Oh I’m supposed to give you a message. Princess Celestia said you could hold the party at her house”.
“You hear that Twilight”? Said Pinkie bouncing even more so due to excitement.
“Yes Pinkie I heard. I guess we can tell Rarity once we get to her house. Do Flutter Shy and Apple Jack know"?
“Not yet I’m heading over to flutter Shy’s house right now. I'll head over towards Apple Jack's afterwards”.
“Sounds good. We’ll meet you at the town exit”. Replied Twilight.
“OK”. Rainbow Dash replied as she flew off.
Pinkie and Twilight continued there trotting towards Rarity’s house.
“Twilight”! Pinkie said as she stopped suddenly.
“What”!? Twilight replied startled by Pinkie’s sudden outburst.
“I forgot I have to pick up some cupcakes from Sugarcube Corner”.
“That’s fine Pinkie you go ahead I’ll meet you at the town exit with Rarity”.
“Ok”. Pinkie replied as she started to bounce off.
“Oh pinkie”! Twilight called out to catch her attention
“Yes Twilight”?
“If you run into Spike can you tell him the party is being held at Celestia’s house”?
“Will do”. Pinkie replied as she continued to bounce off.
With Pinkie Pie no longer by her side Twilight made her to Rarity’s house saying hi to the other ponies she passed by. After about ten minutes of walking Twilight finally arrived. (Knock knock)
“Who is it”? A voice replied from the other side of the door.
“It’s me Twilight”.
“Oh Twilight. Rarity replied while opening the door.   
Is there something I can help you with"?
“No I’m just here to take you to your party”.
“Party"?
“Your birthday party”.
“Oh that sorry Twi it slipped my mind I’ve been really busy with all these orders. I just finished the last dress”.
“Well since you’re done you mind joining me”?
“Joining you? Aren’t we having it here"?
“Oh no Celestia said we could have it at her house”.
“In Canterlot”? Rarity replied unable to hide her excitement”
“Yes Canterlot”.
“Then what are we waiting for lets go”.
Rarity gathered some things and locked up.
Rarity and Twilight trotted towards the town exit.
Twilight could hear something whisper in her ear “Twilight”
“What is it Rarity”? Twilight replied thinking it was her.
“I didn’t say anything”.
“You didn’t? Sorry I just must be tired. I've been working really hard lately”.
“That’s ok I know how you fe…….”
“TWILIGHT, RARITY”!
“Oh hi Rainbow” Twilight replied
“We're are the others”? Asked Rarity.
“Hello”. A shy Flutter Shy replied
“Yes hello” said Apple Jack
“Pinkie Pie not with you”? Asked Rainbow.
”Sorry no she had to pick up some cupcakes”. Replied Twilight.
“Oh ok”. Said Rainbow.
“Guys”! A happy Pinkie Pie yelled out while she made her way towards them.
“Hi Pinkie you get the cupcakes”?
“Yes Twilight I got them”.
Twilight could hear a voice whisper in her ear once again. “Twwwllliiiilllliiiiggghhhtttt”.
“What is it”? Twilight said in an annoyed voice.
“Something wrong darling”? Rarity replied.
“Sorry it’s nothing I’m just tired”.
“Oh ok”.
The six friends waited for the carriage that would take them to Canterlot.  
Flutter Shy was taking care of the nearby animals and Rainbow Dash was doing tricks in the air. Twilight was reading a book she had brought with her. Apple Jack and Pinkie were sharing recipes. About thirty minutes later the six friends could see no other than princess Celestia coming to greet them.
“Princess Celestia what are you doing here”? Twilight asked surprised.
“Oh Twilight my student I’ve come to take you guys to my castle” replied Celestia.
Once again twilight could hear a whisper “Twwwiiillliiiggghhhttt”. She decided to pay no attention to it this time but Celestia could see something was wrong with her student.
“Something wrong”? Celestia asked Twilight with a worried look.
“Sorry princess I’ve just been really tired”.
“Oh Twilight I’m sorry I’ve been working you too hard. After the party I want you to take a break over the weekend.
Not wanting to argue Twilight nodded her head.
“Now then my little ponies are you ready to go”? Celestia said as she brought down a chariot from the sky being pulled by two white Pegasus.
“Yes yes YES! Replied rarity in an excited voice.
The six friends got in the chariot and made their way towards Celestia’s castle. When they arrived they were greeted by Princess Luna and Spike.
“Spike how did you get here and for that matter princess Luna why are you not asleep it’s not night time yet”? Asked Twilight.
“I was on my way back to your house when I ran into Celestia. She told me that the party was being held here. So I asked her if I could come here before you guys to help set up some decorations. She said yes and teleported me here”. Replied Spike.
“My sister said I should come to more things like this to make friends”. Luna replied trying to hold back a yawn.
“Well I’m glad you both could make it”. Replied Twilight.
“Well my ponies shall we begin? The party is ready”. Said Celestia
Excited all the ponies said yes.
The day went on as they celebrated. Spike gave Rarity a diamond necklace as a gift and Pinkie Pie was being, well Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash performing her famous Rainboom  
Apple Jack and Twilight were dancing a silly jig. All was well everypony was happy but it was not a happiness that would last. Twilight noticed the sky was getting darker.
“Luna isn’t it a little early for night time”? She asked
Not noticing Luna replied. “What do you mean Twilight”?
“The sky has gone dark Luna”
Luna looked up at the sky and saw what Twilight had said was true. “How could this be I have yet to raise the moon”?
The voice that could be heard only by Twilight was now heard by the other ponies.
“Hahahah”.
“Who’s there? Show yourself”. Celestia demanded.
The unknown entity said nothing it just continued laughing.
Finally Twilight mustard up as much courage as she could and screamed. “WHO ARE YOU!!!?
The entity stopped laughing and replied. “My name? Yes I guess I should have one you can call me Demise.
“What do you want”? Asked Celestia.
Once again Demise did not reply to her words.
“Do I know you”? Twilight asked noticing the entity would only talk to her.
“I don’t know”. Demise replied.
“What do want”? Asked Twilight.
“What do I want?….I want darkness I want the end. The demise of everything living.
“Why”?
This time Demise did not reply to Twilight.
Celestia quickly grabbed the Elements of Harmony and threw them to Twilight and her friends. “Here my little ponies use these to defeat Demise".
The six ponies put on their elements and proceeded to cast out the darkness but to no avail. (Bang) a flash of dark light went through the castle. The elements had become broken.
“What did you do”? Asked Twilight
“I did nothing you were the one who tried to defeat me with the elements”. Replied Demise
“No matter we don’t need them to defeat you”.
“That is true. Yes you will defeat me but it will come at a price”.
“What do you mean"?
“Meet me at my castle past the Everfree forest and I shall tell you".
“WAIT"!
“Goodbye”. Demise said in a fading voice.
“Princess Celestia who was that”?
“I do not know Twilight”.
“He said his name was Demise weren’t you listening”? Asked Pinkie.
“That’s not what she meant". Replied Apple Jack.
“My student I am sorry to ask this but you and your friends must go and defeat this new evil”.
“Yes princess". Replied Twilight.
“Why does the threat of destruction have to be on my birthday”? Said an upset Rarity.
“I am sorry I shall make it up to you. Now my little ponies I feel the only way to defeat Demise is to use the elements” Said Celestia.
“But princess Demise just destroyed the elements”.
“No Twilight I can still sense them but I cannot figure out where he’s hidden them”.
“Ok princess I know what we must do. We shall find the Elements of Harmony and defeat Demise”.
Celestia said nothing and nodded.
“Twilight I shall help you and your friends as much as I can for this Demise character needs to know THERE IS ONLY ONE RULER OF THE NIGHT”! Said Luna.
“Thank you”. Said Twilight
“I’m sorry my sister but you must come with me. We must keep the ponies calm”. Said Celestia
“We can manage by ourselves now let’s go”. Said Rainbow.
“Rainbow Dash is right. Now go my little ponies and good luck". Said Celestia.
And with that the six friends left for the Everfree forest.
“Sister do you think they can defeat this new evil”?
“I do not think I know. What has you so worried Luna"?
“Nothing just a passing thought”.
“You know we have nothing to worry about these are the same ponies who defeated Discord the changeling queen and their also the ones who turned you good".
“Yes I know but something that Demise said has me worried”.
“What”?
“The thing about defeating him will come at a price”.
“I see what you mean but for now we must put our trust in them”.
“Ok”.

So this is my for fanfic for anything ( I hope my grammer isn't to bad) hope you like it
