The Legion of the Damned is issued yet another task by the Emperor of Mankind that could be vital to saving the Imperium- investigating a possible human colony near the Galactic Core, supposedly built on the homeworld of the Old Ones and gifted with all the potent psychic and physical defences such a place would contain. The prize is Humanity's salvation in the Grim Darkness of the Far Future. The stakes… Humanity's life or death.
Needless to say, a planet filled with Equine Xenos is obviously not the thing the Emperor intended for them to land on, with no way off.
