Rainbow Dash went to her mailbox, and opened it. Inside was a single letter made out to her, in the form of a scroll. She reached in and took it, and brought it back inside with her. There was a wax seal, and a symbol of three gears with an I in the center of them. The symbol of Ice Fire Enterprises. She stretched out her wings as she took the seal off, and began to read. Her eyes went wide, and she raced off towards Fluttershy's hut.

Rarity opened her mail box and grabbed the items that were in it. She trotted back inside and looked at the dragon making her breakfast, after a couple minutes,  it was finished, and set out on the table. Sweetie Bell sat on one side, Rarity across from her. "Thanks again for all the help this week Spiky Wiky, I never would have gotten all those dresses done if you hadn't been there," Rarity said, then added, "You know I should be the one cooking you breakfast."

"Ah it was nothing." And with that all three began to eat. Rarity sifted through the mail, and found nothing of interest, until she came across two identical scrolls, one addressed to her, and the other to Sweetie Bell. She handed Sweetie Bell hers and opened her own. A look of shock appeared on her face, and when she looked up Sweetie Bell was already gone.

"What was that all about?" Spike wondered aloud. Rarity turned towards Spike.

"Spike, I'm going to need your help again, and this time, it won't involve sewing."

A pair of legs stuck out from under a kart, on the bottom of the legs, were shoes, not horse shoes, but shoes. the legs were long, and had oil stained jeans on. The sound of a two by four twisting could be heard. The kart itself was a bright pink, and three colorful balloons in a circle of white on the hood as an insignia. Standing nearby was a familiar pink party pony.

"So have you found the problem yet Danny?" She said cheerfully.

"Uh-huh," came the voice from under the kart.

"So is it fixed?"

"Almost there, just one more, and done!" And with that, the creature under the kart rolled out into the open and stood up. The creature stood at a shocking 5' 3", almost as tall as princess Celestia. It had no fur whatsoever, and wore enough clothing to put Rarity to shame, with a a grimy short sleeve, ripped stained and tattered jeans, socks, shoes, and a baseball cap twisted to the side on his head, most ponies would call it the strangest thing ever seen. "There you go Pinkie! fixed up nice and quick." It said.

"Thanks Daniel, how much do I owe you?" She said, giving the creature a hug.

"Ah Pinkie, come on, I can't charge you!" Daniel said, giving the pony a kiss, while returning the hug.

"Oh, I just remembered, you'll never guess what I got today in the mail, it's for the kart from Ice Fire Enterprises, it's so amazing I just couldn't believe it so I went to get my kart fixed up and to tell you, so that you could come to, it's gonna be so much fun, and I know that you'll just love it! So come on pack your bags, let's get going!" Pinkie said, bouncing up and down.

"What are you talking about Pinkie?" Daniel asked, confused. Pinkie looked at him with a wide smile, and pulled a scroll from nowhere and hooved it over to him. Daniel looked over it and smiled. "Alright, let's do this!"

Spike raced back to the library to tell Twilight what was going on, and when he arrived at Golden Oaks, he raced into the kitchen to find Twilight cooking, or at least, trying to. Forgetting quickly why he was there, he pulled Twilight aside and quickly flipped the omelet over so it wouldn't get more burned, then folded it and put it on the plate next to the stove, turning off the heat, he turned towards Twilight.

"Spike, I thought you were at Rarity's," Twilight said, taking the omelet.

"Actually, I'm here to tell you that, I'm joining the race, with Rarity," came the exasperated voice, in between huffs. Suddenly the small dragon felt something bubble in his chest, and smoke came out of his nostrils, then with a loud burp, a scroll came out and landed in a field of magical purple aura. Twilight read it quickly, and then looked at Spike with a frown.

"Absolutely not. You are not joining the race, sorry but it's to dangerous for a baby dragon, Ice Fire's races are always extremely deadly, and I don't want you hurt," Twilight said, but Spike was already gone. "Darn it, that dragon." Twilight went to the garage in the back of the library, and came across the item covered in a sheet. She sighed and pulled it off, revealing a purple motorcycle with stars streaking across it with her cutie mark on the front. That dragon was in a load of trouble, but first, she had to make sure he stayed safe. It was time to start the engine once again.

Applejack examined the mail, it wasn't much, one letter for Applebloom from Babs, and a scroll with her name on it. She handed the letter to Applebloom, and read the scroll. She smiled slightly, and called for Big Mac, who walked into the dining room from the kitchen. "Eeyup?"

"Read this."

And all through out the lands, similar situations occurred, and everyone flooded into the city of Trottingham, ready for the grand prize of the race, and prepared to risk it all for it as well. As the saying goes, Start your engines.
