This is War

Long ago, when the world was young, all were at peace. The Earth Ponies, the Alicorns, the Sea Ponies, the Pegasi, the Unicorns, and the Gryphons. They had no issues, no wars. Only peace. But, one day, a new race rose from the Sands of Time.

A group of creatures known as the Auruma, squat, cyclops-like beasts that were given the gift of the Treasures of the Earth, rose from the dirt suddenly, with no warning. They were gentle, seemingly-harmless creatures, with absolutely no sense of Greed to them. If they saw anything that was down on it's luck, whether it be an Auruma, Pony, Gryphon, et cetera, they would give it food and gold.

Suddenly, Princess Corona H. Celestus, or Celestia, declared war upon the Land of the Auruma, Terra Aurum. She said they had threatend the entire nation, and had weapons prepared.

But this was completely unlike the Auruma! Everyone was suspicious, thinking that this must be a joke. Many began to scoff such a thing, and just ignored the Call to War.

But still more said that it MUST be true, and that Celestia wouldn't lie. Many ponies were afraid of being called wackjobs, so they went along and said that it was true. Before long, by lying to themselves, they truly did believe it.

Suddenly, Anarchist and Revolutionist cells began to form, saying that their Goddess of the Sun was lying. Before long, Princess Luna S. Celestus formed the New Lunar Republic, an alternate nation to Equestria, and welcomed any who wished to join.

This nation is what was once known as the Crystal Empire

Few obeyed such an offer, and many just stayed in Equestria, going off to war.
