The Land of Equestria is coated with Blood. The Gods have forsaken this land, and have allowed it to be cursed. In this world, all the ponies are in war. But, there is one left. Fluttershy. She is too timid, too easy to frighten, to go into war. She swore she would never do such a thing the day she heard what was happening to her friends. But, as demonstrated by many American presidents, everyone lies. One day, Fluttershy was in her cabin, sobbing. She was looking at pictures of her friends. Twilight Sparkle, MIA. Rarity, KIA. Pinkie Pie, MIA. Applejack, KIA. And Rainbow Dash, her lover, KIA. All of her friends, gone from her. Nothing was left to her. Ponyville was empty, she was all alone, and she nothing left to live for. Fluttershy was so sad, and so scared, that sometimes, she considered ending it. Just flying up as high as she can, and letting go. But, she wouldn't. Fluttershy still had hope. She dreamed that one day, her friends would all come back, safe and sound, despite what she had been told. But she knew she was wrong. She knew her friends were gone from her forever. They were either dead, or would soon be dead. There was no hope to be had. There was a knock at the door, and Fluttershy opened it. She was amazed; Standing before her was someone who shouldn't be alive. Who wasn't alive. Someone who had been gone since the very beginning of the war. Standing before her was her dead lover, Rainbow Dash. "D-Dashie?" She stuttered, shocked. She slowly stepped up to the rainbow-maned pegasus, amazed by the sudden appearance. Rainbow Dash nodded weakly, a sad look in her eyes, and kissed Fluttershy on the cheek. "B-But... How?! Rainbow Dash, they... They said you were dead... "Ha!" Rainbow Dash scoffed. "Dead? No, I'm not dead, Fluttershy. But they tried to kill me." Rainbow Dash spit at the floor. " 'They'? Who is... They?" Fluttershy asked. "Who's they? Who's they?! They, are the ones we all thought we could trust! They, are the ones who lead us! And they, are the ones who started the war! It's Celestia and her partners in crime, the Royal Guard!" Fluttershy's eyes widened and her jaw dropped in astonishment. "C-Celestia?! That... That can't be true! I thought they..." "Thought they what? Could be trusted? Were just trying to protect us?! WERE RESPONDING TO A THREAT MADE ON EQUESTRIA?! DAMMIT, NO!" Rainbow Dash stomped her hoof down so hard, a nearby picture frame fell. "They just knew that Terra Aurum had tons of gold and silver, and they wanted to have complete, and utter, control, over it ALL! Do you get that?!" Rainbow Dash was screaming at this point, tears of anger in her eyes. Fluttershy cowered away a bit, but nodded. "B-But... Why did they try to... You know?" Fluttershy asked, frightened. Rainbow Dash noticed Fluttershy was gettting scared, and calmed herself down. "Because, we found out. They thought that if anypony ever found out that they were just sending their 'beloved' subjects to their deaths so they could just get their dirty little hooves on a little gold, then everyone would revolt. And they were right. Early on in the war, before me and the others all supposedly died or went missing, we had discovered the truth of what was going on. We snuck into what we THOUGHT was an enemy base camp, and turned out to be a secret HQ for Celestia's goons. We found out the truth, and they knocked us all out and disposed of us in different ways. Right now, Pinkie Pie and Applejack are trying to convince the people of Terra Aurum that Equestria hasn't made war on them, just Celestia. Twilight's probably being held for questioning. And Rarity... Well, I have no idea where she's at. I haven't seen or heard anything of her since I escaped the Internment Camps." "I-Internment Camps?!" Fluttershy screeched, frightened. "Yeah. Celestia didn't know what to do with traitors or prisoners of war, so she just decided to copy Adolf Hoofler's ideas and exterminate the poor fools. That damn bitch..." Fluttershy looked down, not sure what to make of everything she had just been told. She fell to her knees, and let a single tear slip from her eye. Suddenly, something inside of her snapped. The thought of her Dashie in a Death Camp, being tortured or worked to death, just changed her. She wasn't scared, or sad. She was nothing like her true self. She was even worse than the monster that Iron Will had made her, so many years before. She ground her teeth, and rose to her feet. "How do I stop her..." Fluttershy whispered, hate dripping in her voice, deathly cold. "What?" Dash replied. "HOW DO I STOP THAT MONSTER CELESTIA?!" Fluttershy shouted. "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! I WANT TO STOP THAT WHORE! HOW DO I DEFEAT HER?!" Fluttershy was growling at this point. "I will do ANYTHING to get rid of her, even if I have to KILL somepony!" Rainbow Dash grinned a dark, hollow smile. "That's not the Fluttershy I know..." She said. Fluttershy shook her head. "No, I'm not... I'm better... Stronger... And, I'm ready to kill." In Fluttershy's eyes, there was fire, fire of a golden glamour and vicious beauty. This was no longer Fluttershy. She would never be Fluttershy again. This... Was Hatred. Rainbow Dash nodded. "Alright than, Fluttershy. You want to help us stop Celestia." Fluttershy just nodded. "Then follow me!" And with that, they took off into the night, flying like spirits. Deep inside Fluttershy, she knew her heart was no longer there. All that was there now was a swirling vortex of Hate, powerful and enlightened. She knew now that there was no Truth or Fairness in this world. There was no Love or Kindness. There was only Vengeance and Hate. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: Legends of the War //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: Legends of the War Long ago, when the world was young, all were at peace. The Earth Ponies, the Alicorns, the Sea Ponies, the Pegasi, the Unicorns, and the Gryphons. They had no issues, no wars. Only peace. But, one day, a new race rose from the Sands of Time. A group of creatures known as the Auruma, squat, cyclops-like beasts that were given the gift of the Treasures of the Earth, rose from the dirt suddenly, with no warning. They were gentle, seemingly-harmless creatures, with absolutely no sense of Greed to them. If they saw anything that was down on it's luck, whether it be an Auruma, Pony, Gryphon, et cetera, they would give it food and gold. Suddenly, Princess Corona H. Celestus, or Celestia, declared war upon the Land of the Auruma, Terra Aurum. She said they had threatend the entire nation, and had weapons prepared. But this was completely unlike the Auruma! Everyone was suspicious, thinking that this must be a joke. Many began to scoff such a thing, and just ignored the Call to War. But still more said that it MUST be true, and that Celestia wouldn't lie. Many ponies were afraid of being called wackjobs, so they went along and said that it was true. Before long, by lying to themselves, they truly did believe it. Suddenly, Anarchist and Revolutionist cells began to form, saying that their Goddess of the Sun was lying. Before long, Princess Luna S. Celestus formed the New Lunar Republic, an alternate nation to Equestria, and welcomed any who wished to join. This nation is what was once known as the Crystal Empire Few obeyed such an offer, and many just stayed in Equestria, going off to war. Now, learn the Secrets of the War!
